Imran, the delivery guy from : reliance dx mini, wheeler road, cox town
Contacted me on 31st october, tuesday at 2 p. M. And asked me for otp on call. I hadn't received any details about the person delivering the order on mail or on phone and it was clearly written on the otp message, not to share in on phone, i got suspicious.
He said that he wanted the otp to generate the bill. And he won't come for the delivery until the otp is provided on phone.
I spoke to anil, from the customer care department and gave him the entire details (Including phone number) of the delivery guy. He advised me not to share the otp, as according to him it was a fraud call.
In the evening on the same day, i got a call from imran, who said that he was coming or the delivery in an hour. He came and handed me the device but he didn't have the bill. On the jio app, he entered one 3 digit and one 2 digit number, and said that otp has expired and cancelled.
When i called up anil, from customer care, he asked me to collect the device and assured me that the soft copy and the hard copy will be sent to me as soon as possible. He talked to the delivery guy imran, and he refused to handover the device without the otp as the iphone won't show on their inventory this way. This entire discussion went on for more than an hour and the final conclusion was that the order will be resent to me within two days along with the bill.
The next morning (1st november) i received a message from jio, saying that the delivery will be completed by 2nd november.
I called up later in the morning to know that the order has been cancelled and the amount will be refunded in 3-10 days. The amount hasn't been refunded yet.
I need an explanation for the following :
1) why did the delivery guy ask the otp on phone?
2) why didn't i have the details of the delivery guy and a tracking id sent on my mail before he contacted me.
3) why did the customer representative not have the details of the delivery guy and delivery store, when he classified him as fraud?
Compensation should be provided for the following :
1) interest i could have earned for the time the money was in the bank till the time it is refunded, as it is not me who has cancelled the order.
2) trauma caused by fake intimation of identity theft, when they classified the delivery guy as fraud.
3) 10 hours wasted on call/with the delivery guy without the product being delivered.
Reliance Jio Infocomm customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
