Part 1
I will start from the beginning. I got a call from your organisation asking about my account on shine.com and pushing for a paid subscription of Rs3503. The guy pursued me into taking up the paid subscription by promising a lot of things such as a dedicated relationship manager finding jobs on my behalf and what not. He sounded as genuine as one can be. I took the subscription after a lot of follow up by him and I thought that it was the right decision. He told me that now my relationship manager will connect with me who will help me in finding better opportunities. I was happy that my woes will wrap up fast now
Part 2
A relationship manager named ROHIT called and after a few vague questions he pitched another product and coerced me to pay another 5728 bucks, telling me that without it he will not be able to help me. Once i paid the amount and thought probably now i will be able to get some benefits, he asked for another payment of 11021 bucks telling me that i have to co-operate else everything done till now will not yield desired results. In between I was told to put a mail also to speed up my services(I am sure to make the client believe that work is going on my profile) I thought may be this is the end hence i paid however to my surprise he sent another proforma invoice of 18349 bucks pressuring me to pay and how it is going to be life changing. At this point in time i was asking repeatedly that i hope this is the last payment to which he responded positively saying that ABSOLUTELY and i made the payment My patience gave up when he again asked for a payment of 25688 bucks which i was told would absolutely be the last payment since i wanted to get over with it. I gave up when i was asked for another payment of Rs.30000.
I immediately sensed forgery and asked them to reverse but was refused i then called my banker to reverse the transactions but wasn't possible. I was trembling with the disappointment and loss that i suffered due to coercive action of your team member.
PS- (a)The callers kept changing themselves and on asking i was told 'my voice changed due to removing of mask'- REALLY!- that was the first signal.
(b) Everytime I was told that this is the last payment, then on asking they were just twisting the words.
( c) Even on payment of Rs.65000 was threatened that I wont be benefitted at all since my package was not complete I was asked to pay another 30000 bucks. GOSH!!
(d) On refusal the staff was rude- as if I am begging for services: 65k were apparently less for them- continually I was pitched rather forced to pay another 30k which I was adamant not to pay.
( e) I got another call in the evening selling me another 30K and on refusal I was given discount of 50%- which I refused plainly!
(f) The relationship manager- Jitender this time called me again in the morning offering another discount and asking me to pay 4800(imagine in less than 24 hours 30k services were offered at 4800)… how lucky I was to get this discount!
(g) The system must be transparent- clients shall be informed about the costing at the day one only- while taking the basic membership only- the strategy was A, B, C, D, E- all upwards. It’s a trap!! Nobody does it!! I have had a paid membership of IIMjobs, Naukri, LinkedIn. Rather these people have transparent refund policies also. Such strategies cannot be successful in the long run.
(h) On complaint the staff tells me ‘’khana order karne ke baad aap khao ya feko- humari taraf se’’- very rude staff.
Part 3
Since your team member did everything with the speed of blitzkrieg, your callers are super trained to fool people i could not notice the kind of dog-[censored] subscription services he has charged me for and i was utterly disappointed after seeing what i have fallen into. All in all Rs.64200 bucks for resume writing and profile highlighting plus some stupid verification and watsapp notification which are of no use to me.
Part 4
Good thing is that i record every call that comes to me and it will be catastrophic for your brand if i put them on social media. I am of the notion that many times the leadership is unknown of the tactics ground teams play hence i write to you in good faith hoping that you will help me out here with the refunds as i no more have confidence on shine.com and probably will do better of my own in job search. I have not availed a single paid service hence it should not be difficult.
There is a difference between legitimate sales and traps!! Expect more from HT Group, specially in today’s difficult times.
