[Resolved]  Shine.com — money extraction through bogus means

On 9 october 2017, i got an invitation to apply for the post of marketing manager for one company called ramatex company in singapore. Upon applying i got a call saying i was one of those selected for a telephonic interview on 13th october, 2017.

On successful completion of the first interview on 13th october, 2017, i was asked to be ready for another interview on 21st october, 2017. I was told i passed this interview also.

I was also asked to deposit rs.3, 500/- in order to verify my educational and experience certificates through iso certified agency and rs.16, 400/- to get my ipa (In-principal-approval) to get work permit in singapore. I paid in cash rs.3, 500/- on 16.10.2017 towards the documents verification and rs.16, 400/- towards ipa on 30/10/2017. I was told rs.16, 400/- is refundable after i began working in singapore. I deposited these amounts accordingly in the name of global india in their current account in karur vysaya bank ltd.

I was told i would get the ipa in ten days' time. Till date, i have not received the ipa. On calling up one mr. Salman usmani who was the recruiting agent with one vinod k and with whom i was corresponding by email and on phone, i am told the phone is switched off and there is no response to my email queries.

I can only conclude this whole episode is fraudulent.

I also wrote to [protected]@shine.com on the 14th november, 2017 about this episode. I have not yet received any response.

Kindly let me know if i can get my monies back.

As per client requirement you will have to arrange profile verification certificate also...
Profile verification certificate means: they want your full profile verified. Means all of your certificates (Educational and experience certificate) should be verified by an reauthorized ISO certified agency. That agency will check all of your certificates and will verify everything. That agency will call in all the companies in which you have work experience and will check your experience certificates are original or not. After verification they will provide you a certificate with stamp. In which they will take all the responsibilities of originality of your documents. Means if there will be anything wrong in your certificates then you and that agency will be responsible for that. So you have to find an agency like this who are providing this kind of certificate.
In case if you are not able to get any agency in your area please tell us asap so that we can find the other solutions so that we can provide the certificate till 20th oct 2017.

Yesterday I got a call from one Mr. Kartik (Cell No. [protected]) asking me to download Oxigen.com and forward a payment of 10% of the amount of Rs.19, 900/- I have paid Global India for job in Singapore. Accordingly, I downloaded Oxigen.com and transferred Rs.1, 000/- through Oxigen.com to Mr. Kartik's Cell number. I could not transfer balance Rs.1, 000/- as I got a recorded message from Oxigen.com that I cannot make payment of more than Rs.1, 000/- immediately after registration and this can only happen after 24 hours.

Today I got a call from one Mr. Atul Ahuja (Cell No.[protected]), purportedly also from Consumer Complaint.com asking me to make no payment to anyone and to download an app called BHIM. When I went to BHIM I could see this is also an app used for transferring payments.

Kindly let me know if Mr. Kartik and Mr. Atul Ahuja are employees of ConsumerComplaints?

I see from my bank account that the balance amount of Rs.1000/- out of Rs.2000/- demanded by Mr. Kartik has also been transferred to his Oxigen.com phone account.

I have contacted Shine.com and again complained to them my issue has not been resolved. I have also told them I will take legal action if my issue remains unresolved.

Regret no response in spite of months after filing complaint.

I contacted Karur Vysya Bank Ltd. and asked if the current account of Global India where I had deposited the payments of Rs.3, 500/- and Rs.16, 400/- still existed and was orally informed that this account existed.

The bank informed me I can do nothing unless I came through the "right channels". When asked what was the "right channel" the bank manager could not respond.

I am not using Shine.com for any job application until my problem is satisfactorily resolved.
