State Bank Of India [SBI] — Aiims mbbs 2016 fees payment: a hellish experience

AIIMS has hired a team of most incompetent and negligent people to develop their Online Candidate Registration platform for MBBS Entrance Examination 2016 at: http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org

These developers have zilch knowledge on how to build a website, setup databases and configure the payment gateway. The payment gateway in question is SBI MOPS(State Bank of India Multiple Options Payment System).

SBI(State Bank of India) in cahoots with AIIMS, is siphoning off Rs. 1000/-(plus convenience/transaction charges ranging from Rs. 15/- to Rs. 17/-) even on failed transactions from every other candidate's bank account during the process of paying the AIIMS MBBS 2016 examinations fees of Rs. 1000/- through their MOPS gateway in order to book a seat on first come first served basis.

As soon as the student/candidate pays the exam fees through Netbanking or a Debit/Credit card, the amount gets debited from his/her bank account immediately but then the SBI MOPS gateway fails to redirect to the merchant website [ http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/Response ] and throws the following error:

"Due to technical problems we need to close this session.

We regret the inconvenience.

Please click here to login to OnlineSBI"

Right after the above error, you will get the following message on the mobile no. registered with the bank or linked with the card:

"Thank you for using your SBI Debit Card XXXXXXXXXXXX for a purchase worth Rs1015 on POS 00005871 at MOPSBIDRCARD IN txn#XXXXXXXXXXXX."

and there goes your money!

Unless the redirection from SBI MOPS payment gateway to the AIIMS website is successful and the payment status in the candidate's dashboard/profile on the AIIMS website shows up as "successful/done" and an online payment receipt is generated, the candidate will neither be able to book a seat nor fill-up the rest of the steps of the online form.

Seats in each state/city are limited in number. Only if the transaction plus redirection from the SBI MOPS payment gateway to AIIMS website are successful, the candidate will be able to book a seat for the AIIMS MBBS 2016 Online Examination.

As the system/gateway has been designed by low IQ imbeciles with limited technical knowhow, there's no surety that if the candidate pays the exam fees plus the transaction charges again, the SBI MOPS gateway will redirect properly! Or in other words, the candidate can keep paying and losing money with zero safety checks in place.

So either the candidate keeps losing money to book the seat in the city of his/her choice or wait X number of days before any intervention from AIIMS &/or SBI. Then again, by waiting, the candidate risks losing the seat in the city of his/her choice because there are limited number of seats and there's no way of checking the number of seats booked in the city of candidate’s choice unless the payment status in Step 2 of the online multi-step application/registration process is a success.

The helpline phone nos.: [protected], [protected] made available by AIIMS are utterly useless as they’re always busy or switched off, their online support docket/ticket system doesn’t get any proper response from the support staff and when they care to reply, this is the reply that they come up with:

"Dear Student If your payment is not upload than payment again and if we will receive your extra payment than it will refund after exam process".

What kind o[censored]nder-educated has AIIMS employed to leave a reply like this?

Please remember that there is not even a shred of certainty that even after spending THOUSANDS of rupees by paying again and again, the payment option in candidate profile will show "Done". We keep paying again and again in the hope that one day AIIMS will return the extra money they keep collecting!!! What a sham!!!

Whether there's a serious misconfiguration in the SBI MOPS gateway or the AIIMS MBBS 2016 website developer(s) has/have misconfigured the gateway parameters with malafide intent or sheer negligence needs to be investigated as soon as possible. This case is a perfect fit for a report at: Serious Fraud Investigation Office [ http://sfio.nic.in/info_from_public.htm ]. If you're a victim, the Cyber Crimes department in the Police Station of your local jurisdiction can also be consulted.

Neither there are protocols in place nor any information available in public domain to safeguard the candidate in such situations.

The criminally incompetent web developers at AIIMS and SBI who are solely responsible for the harassment of students trying to book a seat and losing their money while on SBI's MOPS payment gateway need their degrees(if any!) revoked/cancelled and incarcerated for the serious fraud that is being perpetrated. Their identities need be made public so that they are not hired by anyone or any establishment in future.

The current Controller of Examinations along with the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS [ https://www.aiimsexams.org/info/ContactUs.html ] who are very much responsible for hiring these fraudsters need to resign or even better sacked by a higher authority immediately. Intervention by the HRD Ministry and the Ministry of Higher Education in this matter is urgently required.

Yes, I have also faced similar problems. After repeated calls to the unresponsive number and generating ticket for online query, the problem remains unsolved. AIIMS should take action immediately. Otherwise, its intent is in serious doubt. Govt. should investigate the fraud immediately.

It has been noticed that some of the candidates have submitted complaint that their registration data filled by them are not matching with the data available on AIIMS website. It appears that candidates are not logging out after submitting the form.

I had paid my fees 1015 through internet banking but while checking the status of my profile in aiims.org for mbbs 2016 my profile still shows that I haven't paid. My name is RAUSHAN KUMAR SHARMA.I filled AIIMS 2016 application form for taking admission in mbbs course.I transacted two times for AIIMS 2016 application fee of 1000rs each on[protected] against Candidate ID: [protected] and Registration No: 30080408. It is done unknowingly due to some technical error.
I have attached the screenshot of my last 10 transaction.You can clearly se that on[protected], there were two transaction of 1000 Rs is done . So, I, kindly request You to refund 1000rs.
