Hi

I have applied for phillipines visa from hyderabad saifabad branch on 24th jan.
On 27th jan chennai visa team identified some documents need change and send out an email to hyd office. But unfortunately they havent shared that information with me.
Without so, they have informed only about the new noc letter needed from the company as digital signature is not allowed. They have forgot to give the remaining info on documents required.
I went back to saifabd branch and submited the noc.
Now after a week, on 4th feb, representative from saifabad branch called me and asking for itr document. As i havent applied the itr before, he advised my visa gets rejected so better take back my application so i won't get the reject stamp on passport as well as thomas cook wont get the bad reputation within phillipines consulate.
Based on his advise i have cancelled my flights.
This whole story i didnt knew until yesterday when he farworded that 27th jan mail came from chennai visa team.

Because of the miss communication, i have lost 40k on flight charges and reuined my holiday.

The whole converstion are in my emails for proof.in recent conversation in his words "so you said you will cancel the flight ticket because it was confirmed but we never ask for confirmed ticket". I think any embassy will ask for confirmed air ticket. What sort of employees does thomas cook recruit? Just for the 3000 rupess process fee, you guys ruined my holiday and left with huge financial losses

Here is my question?

Why havent they check my documents on the day i pay the fees which is 24th jan?
Why havent i been informed about the document requirements when the agent get to know on 27th jan?

If you know your job, i might have saved my time.. You should simply refuse my application.. But you kept anf wasted my time, money

And i have been requesting to provide the legal counsel email or phone so i would like to take up this issue to consumer court

If i get to know what documents needed by 27th, i would not have been in this position now.

If you provide the email address, i will send all my conversation

My expectations thomas cook has to pay may flight charges and application charges, because its purely your mistake not to let the customer know about the requirements.

    This has reference to my email dated 14/01/2020 & 15/01/2020 sharing the bad experience faced during my travel to singapore (Customized trip from 02/01/2020 to 08/01/2020 file no. F[protected]. I had expressed my displeasure regarding the unkept promises and breach of trust by you company; some of the matters briefed are as under :-

    1) after having paid 50 singapore dollars extra for upgrading to deluxe balcony on cruise, the same was not provided.

    2) no dinner was provided during night safari singapore despite promised by sh. Parmeshwaran, sales team, mumbai.

    3) the hotel room provided at ramada vindiyam, singapore was unsuitable and my request for upgradation of hotel room category was not adhered to.

    These lapses on part of “global travel group” of your repute, shows that the professionals handling these in india are either not competent enough or that the company is not responsible for any of their activities leaving the clients at the mercy of these staff.

    Still having no response to any of the email sent by me as above, i am to believe that thomas cook has failed to keep up the promises made to me during the above tour. And therefore, i would like to request for compensation for the hardship, discomfort and mental agony caused during the entire trip. Therefore, i may be indemnified for the same rs.1, 50, 000/- besides the above. Failing which you shall have to convince me as to why i should not sue you for the above lapses made by your employees.

      I am writing this complaint of trip that we had planned in december. It was really pethatic and money wasted trip. One of jayed khan any travel agent cheated on us. And asked us higher money. He told us many services include in this pack, good hotels and activities. But when we reached there hotel service is really poor. I this hotel was not 2 star also. We spend so much money in. This pack age and service we get is zero... When we met there some other people same package and hotel they get in lower price and difference was of 20000 why??? Flight from same delhi to andeman and our packages was of 90000 and ther 70000 or 65000 why i just want to know answer. I will never recommend this fraud thomas cook to anyone and ahmet are really cheap

        - 7 days trip covered in 5 days
        - made me wait for 8 hours at airport
        - tour manager number shared incorrect and concerned person did not come at airport for pickup
        - same variant and menu repeated for 3 days
        - itinerary not followed
        - rushed trip and even after complain did not get any solution
        - tour manager looks like our boss and kept on saying sight seeing will be covered.
        - did i pay for sight seeing, that can be covered online as well why do we need to spend money
        - if premium pakages are like this what will happen to hard earned money and dreams of other who would go with thomascook india

          I got in touch with a online sales person of thomas cook asked for asian damaka tour package he sent a me a quote in email and after that was asking me to make the payment with taday for the discount and hence i accepted the quote and made the payment immediately, after i made the payment after a day a they called and said that quote was sent by mistake and asked me to pay a huge amount extra, and refuse to refund the amount also.

          And after that anna nagar chennai branch gave me a quote, i got several assurance from the sales person that they also should not raise the quote after i pay the amount, the agreed upon. Even the gendral manager assured in the phone that if you want i will send an email that the quote will not raise., hence i asked quailty team to transfer the file from online team to anna nagar branch the movement that is transferred, they also raised their quote by saying airline rates have increased 4, 600 per person that too in 2 days. The the previous movement before transfering they said differnt story, the movement is got transfered every story was different.

            I have bought 700 SGD from thomas cook on 9th jan' 20.
            Also, paid 2% ( INR 753) amount to fix the rate which is full refundable in 7 working days.

            I haven't received any update on the same.
            This is not acceptable at all.

            Calling customer care since today morning and have spoken to atleast 7 agents who are just saying to wait for refund team call which i havenot got till now.

            Also, on continuous mail drop no response from anyone.

            Got update on call just now from thomas cook where they said today only they processed the money as some issue was there in backend with branch.

            This is how you deal with customers? No update, no communication ?

            I wish i could talk to there supervisor or manager.

              I have bought “thomas cook borderless prepaid card (Card no.[protected])” from your agent mr rohit verma (Contact number - [protected]). While the card has been handed over to me on 5th december 2018, the card got activated on 7th december, 2018. We have used the card from 8th december, 2018 upto 15th december, 2018 in various countries of europe (France, switzerland, austria and germany)

              I’m writing this email to bring in to your notice that the terms and conditions of inactivity was not conveyed to me by your agent (Name and contact details provided) because of which an inactivity charge has been invoked from june’2019 upto december, 2019 o[censored]sd 8.25/month including gst (Total amount deducted for six months is usd 57.75). Moreover, this deduction of inactivity fees was not intimated to me too neither through email nor through sms on my registered mobile no.

              Since this is a mistake, hence i would request thomas cook team to kindly arrange refund of the amount o[censored]sd 57.75 asap. Looking forward for acknowledgement from your side as early as possible. Waiting in anticipation.

                Hi sir/madam,

                I would like to complaint against associate-thomascook sd regarding flight cancellation, i have booked a package to kerala through thomas cook including flight but the return flight was cancelled by the airlines and when i contacted the customer with the same thing they are asking me to book another flight with 3 times the fare. I would request you look into this, if this is how you guys are taking care of your customers then i don't think in future i would recommend you to any other person or i will take another trip with you guys.

                This is very disappointing.

                  We booked a packaged europe tout personalized with thomas cook #zoish cust rep, she mentioned take the protection plan if your visa gets rejected we agreed. This was verbal & my biggest mistake of my life. Then visa rejected for unfortunate reasons, then zoish turned back on her words & mentioned this was only for group tours and not personalized tours. We felt cheated & sad. I am yoga teacher, earn every penny with hard work but company like these can get away with anything i believe. Lesson learnt nevere trust bigger brands they are bigger liars, never go for the best go for company who are starting off. Always take everything in writing & get it signed by the company. #thomascook #scam
                  I was cheated by Thomas cook. I had paid just the confirmation charge of 10000 Rs for my Andaman holiday package. Due to COVID restrictions the tour was cancelled by Thomas cook. I asked for full refund as it was not my fault. Piyush Thakur and Ranjana Thakur ( Thomas cook executives ) were convincing me to take up credit vouchers that were only valid till 31st December 2021. i e. 6 months validity. I refused and asked for a full refund. Piyush agreed but after a few days i noticed that they have processed my refund after deducting Admin charges. i.e 3000 RS. I was expecting a full refund as it was not my fault. Technically speaking the package was with scheme buy one get one free so even if they are deducting ain charge it should be just for one person as i hadnt booked the package for two.

                    Through this message i would like to aware people about how this company Sterling Holidays - A member of very reliable Thomas Cook group is engaged in calling people to their venue by giving false commitment which are not fulfilled and simply a wastage of time. On 28-12-19 we were called by sterling representative in udaipur (Mobile no : [protected] ) that we are selected out of some people who purchased a maruti swift desire in 2017 and invited to Cafe coffee day in udaipur for availing a free gift (Gift voucher for 2 nights free stay in sterling property within India. We were told that a 45 min meeting is arranged to share sterling presentation followed by handover of free gift voucher. The free gift will not be linked with any membership commitment from us and will be given on spot. It was even confirmed in written Upon reaching venue on 29-12-19 we were asked to fill a form and shown a presentation (Mr Rahul Agarwal and Mr Jayant - Sterling jaipur/Udaipur team visiting card attached which was given to us at venue) and it was much of a pressurised approach by sterling team to take their membership. We told that we need some time to think about this membership. We requested for sharing the gift voucher but surprisingly no such gift was given today to us and sterling team's response was not very polite after we denied for taking a on the spot membership.

                    I would urge sterling team and Thomas cook not to adopt such type of practises which wastes a persons time also degrades the reputation of Thomas cook name which is used to trap people in these fraud schemes. As per my opinion, it is simply a marketing gimmick to call people to their events and waste their time. Pls do not trust their commitments of free vouchers. They will even say that free voucher is ready and just needs to be collected after meeting their team. They will make no of calls to ensure that a person comes down to their venue. I completely wasted my time and didnt got any such assured free gift so i am writing it to save other peoples from getting into such traps.

                    I will also escalate and draw attention of Maruti India team as sterling holidays used their name in inviting us and why Maruti India needs to look how the Purchaser data is going to such companies.

                      I have been using Centrum for my foreign travel all this while. Early this year i happened to take Thomas cook borderless prepaid card for a vacation. Today when i checked my balance i got to know that they have been deducting 8.25$ every month as fees for not using my card. I asked the customer care and person sitting in Thomas cook office to show me the policy where it written that 8.25$ will be deducted. And he failed to do so. Called up customer care, he had no idea. There was no mail no intimation nothing. This is pure scam and cheating. Really disappointed. Please never trust these guys when they try to sell you their card claiming wrong information.
                      THOMAS COOK INDIA is not proving the LTA details and breakup inspire of multiple followups. They are following the Indian law.

                        Sub: sub-standard hotel booked by thomas cook for singapore tour package. Dear sir/madam, i booked land package for singapore from thomas cook from 01-oct-2019 to 06-oct-2019 for 4 members under thomas cook “tour document | file no:f[protected]| file name:sachin soni*4 | tour commencement date:01/10/2019”. Following members travelled to singapore from 01/10/2019 to 06/10/2019.1. Sachin soni male age 402. Bindu verma female age 393. Ujjwal soni male age 134. Satvik soni male age 09thomas cook executive shared me the itinerary which includes hotel details claremount with breakfast and when i checked the reviews for hotel claremount i cameto know the hotel booked was sub standard and almost 95% people not recommending hotel claremount because of poor quality and poor services. Some reviews are attached for your reference.8when i asked thomas cook executive to change the hotel then he told me that don’t goby reviews as thomas cook themselves check the hotel and services and based on that hotel is recommended to customers. When i reached singapore with my family, i found the hotel claremount is worse than expectation and infact worst hotel i have ever seen in my life. Hotel was very dirty and very poor services. Whitewash from the room was coming out and there was also coakroach in room (Pics attached) seeing the condition of hotel i shifted to another hotel boss with my family. I paid the hotel rent as follows (Details attached) hotel expenses: inr 61266 (For 5 days) breakfast expenses: inr 12000 (For 5 days) total expenses: inr 73266amount of 73266 inr are additional expenses incurred due to poor services of hotel.
                        Matter is also escalated as matrix mentioned below: 1st level : nilesh rai (8nilesh. [protected]@thomascook. In8) 2nd level : suresh iyer (8suresh. [protected]@thomascook. In8) 3rd level : sanjukta banerjee (8sanjukta. [protected]@in. Thomascook. Com8) 4th level : akhil singh (8akhil. [protected]@in. Thomascook. Com8) i called thomas cook executive from singapore again asking to change hotel as the condition of hotel is very bad and services was also very bad. I raised following query:1. I choose thomas cook keeping in view that thomas cook is one of the best travel company which will look after my comfortable stay during international travel so make this trip memorable for my family. So, what is the responsibility of brand thomas cook because i believe and trust brand and that’s why i choose and pay premier cost as compared to other travel companies.2. Secondly, when i told thomas cook executive before travelling that reviews are not good of the hotel claremount then senior person called me and assure that thomas cook team recommends hotel based on internal verification process and they confirmedthat the hotel claremount is good. What is are the mechanism and criteria of hotel selection so thatsame is offered to customer? Please let me know actions will be done thomas cook in case of poor quality and poor services.3. Thirdly, before travelling i asked again to thomas cook to change my hotel but they again assure that team has already verified the hotel and at that point of time change of hotel is not possible. Why thomas cook denied my request to change hotel even though i was agreed to pay differential amount.4. Lastly when i reached singapore and check-in hotel room clare mount, the conditionof hotel was pathetic and even worse than any budget hotel in india. I again called thomas cook and explain the situation then they said hotel is booked with prior information and you are responsible for hotel booked. You should go reviews and thomas cook is only advisor. I mailed the pics of hotel to thomas cook relevant team persons but no one seems bothered for customer issues.
                        It is the responsibility of thomas cook to make our journey comfortable but thomas cook was not bothered for anything as the payment wa already done. I feel that i am being cheated by thomas cook as i book hotel based on the recommendations of thomas cook and thomas executive is saying that thomas cook is only advisor and as they didnot owe hotel so thomas cook is not responsible for bad quality and poor services.@no one seems to bothered about customer issues and only blaming innocent customer. I am really very disappointed with8unprofessional and insensitive approach of thomas cook and claim to thomas cook the additional cost of inr 73266 and inr 100000 for whatever harassment my family had received because of thomas cook. Though the amount of inr 173266 is less as compared to actual mental stress whatever my wife and children received during that time but i expect to proceed with claim and proceed for payment.

                          I have paid full amount as and when they requested as per the package cost a month before the travel date. They have provided the flight ticket in a day after the payment and promised me that the travel documents/vouchers are shared 3 to 5 days before the travel date.

                          I started following up with them from 5 days before the travel date for my documents/vouchers. Every time a new executive is assigned and they answered me that my file is under process, vouchers are ready and just that the back end team need to send me those vouchers through email. The same answer was given to me till one day before the travel date.

                          I guy from insurance team called me about my travel insurance and then i asked him about my documents/vouchers. He then verified my file and told me that i need to pay some xxx amount in order to get my vouchers as per the system. I was surprised that this came up just a day before the travel date. He also promised me that i will get my vouchers max by an hour after payment. All those executives who talked to me before this call even on the same day have never told me about this. At the end after paying xx amount on last day, i got same email saying we are processing and will get back to you by end of the day.

                          I sent so many email during these days and i got responses after a day or two and sometimes there is no reply even from them. And the funny thing is, today (One day before travel) an email is received saying that in case no response from our team 48 hours then you can escalate it to next level where as i had only 24 hours left for beginning of the travel.

                          I lost complete trust on this company and i advise others to think thrice before going through thomas cook india.

                          I am also referring my file number "f[protected]" in case thomas cook india wanted to find more details on this and check all the communication happened with me.

                              We had planned (2 couple) july19 for european extravanganza on 4th. September asum of rs 14000 was paid which was acknowledged by sms on 21/7/19 and on 22/july the booking reference is g[protected]for both the payments. The trip had to be cancelled due to schengen visa. Within two days of payment for trip insurance. I have been to your mi road branch in jaipur. The matter was handled by on etahseen of mi branch. I have been following the matter for refund both with mi branch and head office through several mails. There is no response from any side

                                  card inactivity fee

                                  I am sharing my case so that people who use currency card are aware and do not lose their hard earned money otherwise this company will not hesitate to take the last penny from your pocket through unfair and unethical trade practices.

                                  I bought one currency card on 3rd nov'18 and let some 350+ usd amount unspent. While reloading the card recently i noticed that they have been charging me almost 9 usd per month for last 6 months...

                                  Dear tomas cook team

                                  I have purchased one currency card in month of october 18 at rudrapur (U. S nagar) uttarakhand branch and uploaded 200 usd and visited sri lanka. Unfortunately i did not use this card. For redeemtion o[censored]sd to inr i visited rudrapur branch and got information that branch is closed.
                                  Now recently i visited bareilly branch and got the information that 57.75 usd have been deducted as inactivity fee.
                                  This surprised me that tomas cook is deducting this amount from 7 months and i didn't get any information on registered mobile no. [protected].
                                  Information regarding inactivity fee was not discussed during purchasing of card.
                                  I think this is unethical and unfare.
                                  Please do needful to resolve this.

                                    We took best of bhutan (Standard accomodation) group tour from thomas cook ex-delhi starting from 8th oct 2019. {g[protected] [incident:[protected]]}, covering thimpu, punakha & paro. While the rooms were decent in thimpu & punakha, the rooms provided in paro (Hotel jigmeling) were absolutely sub-standard - dingy & smelly - right from the reception area to the hotel room. The glass window panes in the bathroom were uncovered such that anyone from the adjacent building can peek-in!! Hence we opted to stay 2 nights in paro at another 2* (Hotel sangayling) at our expense.
                                    We await refund from tc for the same.
                                    The tour guide provided was a novie - a 19-20 yr old boy who had very little knowledge and showed irresponsible behaviour.
                                    Inspite of mail to tc team, no one has even had the courtesy to reply to our email / call to resolve the issue.
                                    This shows total apathy by tc toward their customers & to what extent tc standards have fallen!!

                                      As per request of Mr.Akarsh Parmar from your Agra office I made the payment of my booked tour Best of America and Canada starting[protected]. Later I realized I have paid excess amount than settled, to which Mr.Akarsh also agreed and assured to refund Rs.21500 which was the excess amount that I had paid. Now, even after nearly three months my amount has not been refunded and Mr.Akarsh is not answering to my phone calls.
                                      Please get my excess amount refunded immediately.
