I had booked a trip from thomas cook india from india to dubai. There are some amount that was pending from thomas cook. I am calling them from last 3 months and they are just not doing anything. They are not processing my money back to my account. Please let me know if you required more information

No steps has been taken by the company to resolve the issue. I am still waiting for my refund amount. Currently status is showing that issue is resolved. But i am still waiting for my issay to be resolved.

    I have booked a trip with Thomas cook on 10th of April to USA. for which I paid the booking amount of rs 30000 I was promised and given assurance of refund if I cancel my trip before 30 days of departure. Flights were an additional cost and was promised to be booked prior 2 months of departure date. My departure was scheduled for 13th of Sept.
    Today 18th July, after so many mails and calls there has been no firm action taken neither for tickets nor any other updates from the Travel agency. They are diverting my calls to the other departments and there is no proper response till date. The booking person named Ganesh gupta is seen nowhere and disappeared. After mailing like 10 times to thomas cook I got a call and I was informed that MR. Nadim would take the lead and get back to me in like 1 or 2 days. Its already 4 days and I tried mailing and contacting but there is no answer. As the date is very close to my departure date I need to cancel my trip and for that I need my refund which also has no answer.
    This is very frustrating and disappointing from a company like Thomas Cook.
    I want my refund back thats it.

      2 months ago I applied for Singapore visa on Thomas cook website and they charged me the visa cost of Rs 1715 but the very next day I got a email from them saying that they are currently not processing visa to any country and will return my money in 10 days. However it has been more than 1 month now and they are not picking up the call or replying to the email. Its like there is no way to contact them.

      This is my second complaint on this portal, before when I submitted my complaint, I received a call from one of the Thomas cook executive (Riddima Tamang) and she assured me that they will refund my money in 15-20 days however it has been more than 1 month and they have stopped replying to the emails.

      Please help me get my refund back. I'll never book anything from this portal again.

        My friend and I had booked a trip via Thomas Cook for 26 Jun 2022.

        We had made an advance payment of INR 36, 129 on 4 May 2022.

        Unfortunately a few weeks before the trip, my friend suffered an injury and was advised by her doctor not to travel.

        We notified Thomas Cook via email on 14 Jun 2022 and shared medical certificate on 16 Jun 2022.

        We asked if we could get a refund

        We were told we can reschedule the trip.

        We agreed and asked for it to be rescheduled to 28 Aug 2022.

        However, Thomas Cook changed their stance and said rescheduling is not possible and our entire advance payment is forfeited!

        We were shocked as it is a big amount.

        We escalated it and shared that their policy has the following clause -
        "Also note that in case of any restriction/health issue( guest gets covid +ve), we will be avoiding charging any cancellation basis documets been shared .The credit note for the same amount will be issued which guest can use in future. During any amendment /cancellation - airline cancellation(wherever applicable) will be charged as per airline policies."

        We had expected to get a credit note which is in line with their policies.

        However, despite our escalation emails and calls, we were denied a refund.

        It has been a deeply harrowing experience.

        We hope that raising the matter in this forum will help us rightfully get our refund.

          They have taken money of 50000 inr for Europe trip that they could not schedule on the said date then post which I requested to reschedule the trip to Singapore for which they informed they will use the full amount. But after that neither have they refunded not have they organized the trip. They have taken my money and do not pick the call or respond to emails

            Address: Reethi beach villa(Maldives) but the complaint is not about the resort but regarding incomplete information sharing by Thomas cook

            Hi, I just completed Honeymoon package trip organized by you guys to Maldives.Yes I enjoyed the trip with not much hurdles but I have few complaints regarding the data sharing.
            1.After getting down at Velana International Airport at Maldives from Bangalore at 11:30, as per the ititnary we should have been at the hotel by afternoon lunch but after reaching Velana International Airport, we got to know that we need to again catch a dopmestic flight to Dharavandhoo and then a speed boat, which we didnt have knowledge about and since we had done full boarding(with lunch, breakfast and dinner at Reethi beach resort) we reached Resort at 5pm because of which first day lunch we had to spend from our side.Though i had informed my trip assistant Saif Shaikh(executive at Mumbai thomas cook), he just said i have forwarded the quiry and waiting for the response.When i tried to call him, the response never came.
            2.While coming back from reethi beach villa, we were not given any preinformation from Thomascook about the transit, for 12:20 pm flight, we had to get ready at 5 am in the morning to catch a speed boat to Dharavandhoo airport.When asked the resort guys, they said that this information(regarding early morning transit) was already shared with Thomas cook which we never got the information a bit earlier, only 1 day before we got to know and had to hurry up.Also we had Water villa booking for the last night and we never enjoyed much for the stay at water villa.Also we had to have breakfast from our expenses even while coming back(only bread, butter and milk was provided while coming back from resort in the morning).I could have planned in a better way had the data been properly shared.I had to unnecessarily spend some 50 dollar for the food(1st day lunch and last day breakfast).

                We arranged our Rajasthan tour in early January'22 but my wife tested positive for Covid and we had to cancel our trip. Thomas Cook Kolkata office (Ashoke Kundu, Siddhartha Mukherjee and Biswajit Banerjee) took an advance of Rs 20, 000 for this tour and even after we furnished her Covid tst result they never returned our money. To me, they just stole our money!

                  Due to pandemic the travel, Subject: G[protected]; MAGICAL LADAKH
                  STANDARD has been postponed for the Journey of ours from Kolkata on
                  May9, 2021. I have fully paid for this ( Ref.G[protected] . From Thomas Cook, , Shrivastav, Nidhi complied, on 30thApril, 2021 and informed that they will update. We did not get any information about this travel after this . I wrote, but Thomas Cook, India though acknowledged my mail did not reply . We are senior citizens and normally expected a fair reply and under such pandemic situation refund of my money .Details: March 04, 2021: Magical Ladhakh-Fly free with Thomas Cook, Booking ID HD00111878, Departure date[protected] .But after postponement no information. I want my money deposit back as no journey is commenced.

                      My wholehearted Thanks to "Consumer complaints.in/thomascook Forum " for posting, on your website, my earlier grievances, thereby drawing prompt attention of Thomas Cook India attend to my long pending case( 22 MONTHS OLD) of non-refund of Booking amount against cancellation by them and quickly refund at least 40% of the Booking advance, I made online more than Two years earlier

                      However, Thomas Cook India STILL REFUSED to REFUND an amount of Rs. 16000/- and hold it with them IN THE NAME OF issuing EUROSTAR CREDIT VOUCHER,
                      ALTHOUGH
                      both passengers in my group being SENIOR CITIZENS, I have informed them clearly and repeatedly over past 22 months, that I won't avail that Europe Tour again in near future amid Covid-Omicron related pandemic, not yet over.

                      And

                      EUROSTAR CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE, ARTICLE 32.2.3
                      mention clearly that (screenshot attached)

                      In CASE OF CANCELLATION/delay of journey BY EUROSTAR, CUSTOMERS HAVE CHOICE of " DECIDING NOT TO TRAVEL or to continue your journey under the contract. In this case, you will be ENTITLED TO A FULL REFUND on the unused portion of the ticket .."

                      In view of above, I URGE THOMAS COOK INDIA NOT TO HOLD this amount any further (HELD ALREADY FOR 22MONTHS without paying any interest ), in the name of EUROSTAR CREDIT VOUCHER and REFUND the amount IMMEDIATELY without further delay.

                      I have booked the below mentioned holiday tour on 1st June 2023 for me and my mother .

                      However due to some unfortunate family issue I have cancel my holiday tour.

                      I have requested for cancellation and refund of booking on 2nd June only. Still I was told incidents is being raised to address this and sometimes telling it cannot be refunded.

                      I have been calling toll free number so many times but not getting any response.
                      So many incidents has been raised [Incident:[protected]], [Incident:[protected]], [Incident:[protected]], but none of the incidents responded.
                      Most of all teh numbers are not being picked or if picked they tehy are keeping quiet on it.

                      Kindly help me with the refund of booking fees which me and my mother has booked .
                      Rs 2 lakh is very big amount for us that we have spent for booking .Booking was just made 1 day ago .So we expect a refund of this amount.

                      Need your urgent help in refunding the booking amount .

                        Hello-To whosoever it may concern.
                        I need to list down an issues that has been addressed since day 1 on behalf of everyone
                        Itinerary shared by Thomas cook/Thomas cook agents were different and which was shared by our tour guide was different.
                        Day 1 on 22nd Feb (unnecessary quarantine no such rule is there) was off, day 2 we had gold souk and day 3 was global village for 3 hours. In entire 3 days only 5 hours were utilised for site seeing.
                        There was Ferrari world theme park which was suppose to be done and tour guide mentioned we are going to warner bros which we are not aware, which we don’t want to. Because we paid money for Ferrari world theme park not Warner bros theme park . Reschedule the AbuDhabi today i.e 27th Feb because tomorrow Ferrari world is closed. Or Return our money because we have paid for Ferrari world

                        The driver out of nowhere was very rude and disrespectful interrupting and insulting everyone when he had no right to.
                        Tell me what things were planned, we already had mishaps before the travel, we already have them now.
                        If things don’t go as per discussed or promised, we would go with strict action which might have legal consequences.

                          Hello mysel[censored]jjwal Gupta resident of thane want to share my review regarding our tour operator named- vinod
                          I exactly dont know his last name
                          The tour operator was literally very horrible worst tour operator i ever seen .
                          Actually i was expecting much better tour guide and at our thane thomus cook which is located in thane and i think it is controlled or managed by the person name karan
                          We took the package from him, i heard that thomus cook is good in getting best for touring destinations
                          There were many doughts and questions which i was raising to karan regarding tour and our destination which was dubai 02/12/21 to 08/12/21
                          And karan always said that any questions regarding tour you can ask to our tour manager he will denitely help you and i asked him several questions he always tell us that the tour operator will guide he will tell everything step by step anytime
                          Then we thought that the operator will be very supportive but he wasnt supported us anytime and he was so rude that he literally treated us like student and professor.
                          Tour operator literally treated us like we are nothing for him and his words were saying that there are several people like you who come and go, you are nothing special and we dont need any customers
                          And at the leisure time i enjoyed alottt because we ie. Me and my wife go at any places by Ourself without tour guide (Vinod) and i really enjoyed the tour alone.
                          Sorry to say this was my first and last trip with thomus cook and i will never recommend anyone to go by thomus cook again, my uncle and aunt go usually by thomus cook and family members though.
                          Our travel package was approximately of Rs 230000 couple including all but seriously i can enjoy more if i will go by myself and on the 2nd day i was thinking that why i choose thomus cook instead of choosing thomus cook i might have come dubai by own itself.
                          The trip was good, food was good but management and tour guide (karan and vinod) both especially vinod was so so rude to us.
                          Karan misguided us and vinod was treating us like professor of college seriously pathetic and bad trip for us and i think i have wasted my money instead of choosing thomus cook and i shall prefer to go by ourself.
                          There were many places which i used to ask vinod our tour operator but his replies and his attitude was so rude we thought rather than asking vinod we asked the local people and seriously local people supported us more by guiding us which which places should i go and which is worthy places after seeing his attitude we never asked him anything .
                          I have visited 3 to 4 countries by myself this was our honeymoon destination i usually visited other countries by myself with my brothers and 1st time i choosed thomus cook because this time i wasnt having our group thatswhy we thought that we will go this honeymoon trip by thomus cook and will enjoy other people group company also and tension free and hassle free tour but i really i will never recommend to go any trip by thomus cook.

                          Sorry but my experience was horrible.

                            Pl refer to our telephonic conversation on 16 March 2021, regarding REFUND OF BOOKING AMOUNT against my Thomas Cook Bkg. Ref./File no. G[protected] for the above-mentioned Tour with Code :- TCEZ 270420.

                            ALTHOUGH, the aforesaid Tour program was cancelled by you (THOMAS COOK INDIA) amid Covid19 related lockdown, pan globe,
                            AND "Section B- BEFORE YOU TRAVEL .. Sl 13- CANCELLATION BY US" of " THOMAS COOK INDIA BOOKING CONDITIONS", clearly assures it's customers as "... you can have a full refund of money you have paid to us... "
                            BUT I have not received yet any refund to this effect, TWENTY (20) months have expired though after the date of aforesaid cancellation by THOMAS COOK.

                            ISN'T IT A BREACH OF AGREEMENT FROM YOUR COMPANY SIDE ?

                            In this connection, I clarify that I want the Full Refund amount, in compliance with aforesaid THOMAS COOK INDIA BOOKING CONDITIONS, credited back to my original mode of payment viz., ICICIBANK CREDIT CARD, NUMBER ending with 2000 without further delay.

                              We have booked the Europe Tour through Thomas cook last year. But as it is known by everyone, due to the ongoing pandemic, the plan was shelved. Now, ideally Thomas Cook should refund our money. We are Ok with a minimal deduction as well but they are adamant on making us pay for another trip which we don't want to avail our previous money.
                              This is a very shameful act. During this period when people are facing so much issues, they are dealing with people like this.

                                This is regarding my above File No F[protected]. I had booked my Paradise island resort package from Thomas cook . But as resort was not available I wanted to cancel my booking . And this cancellation is because of their failure to provide the said services. Accordingly they shouldn’t deduct any charges and refund my whole amount . But their representative told me that TCS of tour cost will be deducted which is completely wrong and illegal. According to terms and conditions mentioned by you full amount should be refunded as it’s their failure . I think those who all are cheated by Thomas cook should come together and sue them

                                  We had booked Europe tour for 4 in may 20 but due to covid 19 tour did not happen and now company is not refunding advance booking amount despite asked to refund repeatedly. They are forcing us to take credit notes and asking to take alternative tours. 2 lacs rs are lying with thomas cook since 1.5 years.
                                  I am also facing the same. Booked the Europe tour. Now they are forcing to take other option.

However, subsequently since the travel couldn’t happen due to COVID-19 circumstances and my week financial position, I requested for refund for which they issue a credit note on 19/03/2020. However, I have been continuously corresponding to them that I don’t want a credit note and to give a refund but there is poor response from Thomas cook. Kindly request Thomas cook to provide refund considering the situation.

                                      I have raised a cancellation request of Exotic Land Kashmir trip 1 on 1 for 6 Nights 7 Days scheduled for 28th September 2021. As per there disclaimer, I have raised cancellation request way before D-10 days (On 2nd September 2021). They said they will deduct admin charges 1500 per person + GST from the booking amount of 20k (4 ppl). I agreed for that as well. Still they haven't responded over raising cancellation request and No call back from our agent Mr. Vikrant Shyam.

                                      I am scared after reading other ppl greivances that my money is gonna get sucked by this fraud company. Request you to kindly resolve this issue and help me get my hard earned money back

                                        I took a Borderless prepaid card in 2018 and stopped using this after sometime as I got my banking sorted. To my shock, I saw the statements given by them and came to know that they are charging an inactivity fee of CAD 8.25 without any intimation, email or notifying me before I took the service. Kindly suggest how to fix this legally as the customer support is pathetic and they are the biggest fraud in the market.
                                        Exact same thing happened to me, lost more than 10, 000 rupees because of 8.25 USD "inactivity fee" per month. These guys don't have a proper working app or website where you can check your transactions and on top of that these inactivity fee can no intimation via email. They know this is a great revenue model for them and I'm sure a huge chunk of their earning is through this. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
