I have applied for Singapore visa from Thomas cook website and paid the visa fees. I have submitted the documents on Thomas cook Udyog vihar, Gurugram office on 2nd August. Today is 17th August 15 days past and my visa status is showing that they have not yet submitted the documents to Singapore embassy. The website as well as the staff whom I submitted the documents said that it will take 7-10 working days to get the visa. Along with the delay they never communicated about the status despite several queries raised by me through email and phone.
This is worst possible visa services one can opt for. Be careful while choosing Thomas cook.

    I have been trying to get some response with regards to my gift vouchers from thomas cook mangalore office, but it is getting quite frustrating as my calls, emails and whatsapp messages are not answered. I had booked a tour for my family of total 4 members on asian extravaganza on may 17, 2018. My booking reference is g[protected] and under the name of joseph saldanha. At the time of booking i was informed that i would be given hotel vouchers. On making the full payment, and getting all my necessary documentation for the tour, i enquired on my vouchers and i was told that i would receive the vouchers from thomas cook directly to my email address with a password. We went on the tour and returned, but still no vouchers.in june again i checked with the local office for the vouchers and after repeated calls and messages the lady there told me that when i want to travel (That is go on a tour) i should inform them and they would arrange the tour and adjust the voucher with this tour and this is valid only until 31st december 2018. I reminded the lady that prior to making the booking she had told me that i would be given hotel vouchers, so why this change now. She had no response and said that she would check and call me back and i am still waiting for her call. Either the staff cannot remember what they say or they just want to confuse us. It is almost 75 days that we have returned from our tour, there is no news of the vouchers, my calls to the office are not being answered or returned. When i visited the thomas cook site for complaints, i noticed that i am not the only customer who is facing such a situation. It looks like this is the practice followed by thomas cook to get customers, but sad to say that if such is the case they will not retain their customers or probably they just don’t care. Thomas cook management and staff should understand the importance of customer satisfaction. A few days back i had writing on thomas cook grievance page, but no one seems to take any action. Previously i have been dealing with thomas cook in dubai and the service there was excellent, that is the reason i chose to travel through thomas cook india, unfortunately the service here is horrible, no proper customer service, cheating customers with false promises. I would like to receive my hotel vouchers or else i will continue to post my grievance till such time as the matter is resolved.

      Made payment for Malaysia Visa on 13 June 18. Thomas Cook(TC) promised to deliver visa in 48 hours. After 1 week, no response from TC. Went to TC, M.G road office. The executive said due to technical reasons visa is not initiated. So we demanded for a refund. On 30 June, TC sent a mail that refund was initiated.On 12July a TC executive called and said visa is processed we cannot refund.

          As per ur website i am supposed to recieve travel vouchers 3days prior to travel date. I dint recieve them nor i got any communication in this as to y it was delayed. I on my own called the concerned person today morning that is july 2, i spoke with 2 person kiran khandelwal and fathima. Since morning both are playing around by saying in half hr they ll send vouchers and its more than 12 hrs nothing has been recieved. Worst is wen i m trying to call them they don recieve phone and some one recieves and talks so rudely with mistake bein on their part. This is worst ever exerience i had. Trust me irrespective of wat i am gonna take this issue to court and sue if immediate action is not taken. U guys should be shameful to call urself international travel agency.

            We had booked a holiday package to europe through thomas cook, baroda but unfortunately could not go due to visa refusal. The company promised to process the refund in 2 weeks but we are yet to receive the full refund even after 10 weeks. The worst is, nobody responds to our call or mail, nor do they call us to give any update. We always trusted tc as a company of repute and that was the reason we approached them for our holiday booking. But the callous attitude of their employees, including their higher ups, is very sickening. I have written numerous mails to every one, including their higher ups, but to no avail.

            I appeal through this portal to the concerned authorities to see that our refund, which amounts to more than rs one lakh, is credited in our account at the earliest.

              I am booked a package of singapore from thomas cook india and i am pay full amount of package, after 4 days of payment they call me and say your tour is cancelled because of some reason. Then i am say if you change my travel date please you should that otherwise you give me my money with 50% cancellation charges after this they say i will discussed with my team and i will call you but after 5 day no phone call no reply.
              I am called many more time but no result.

                I had booked for forex amount in us $ for rs 48836 and got confirmation no fx00053047. The forex amount couldn't be handed over to me at mgroad bengalurru office by thomas cook as agreed and discussed. I have asked to return back to my account the transaction amount by mail and also by phone. Though i was told it will be returned by a weeks time over phone so far money is not returned even after 20 days. Absolute no care attitude from thomas cook forex handling department.

                The compliant is resolved by Thomas cook. The amount is remitted to my bank account in full today.
                Thomas Cook Forex dept has responded and has asked for bank details. The cancel request is acknowledged and as per message it will take 7 days for refund.
                Today i have received back the full amount of Rs. 48836 in my bank account and the complaint is resolved . Thank you Thomas cook for timely and quick response.
                Sincere thanks to the forum as well.

                  Most horrible treatment can someone give to the customer than thomas cook is the name. Being part of cooperate quality i can assure none of the basic principles they follow.

                  1. Understanding customer need - a) it was my daughter's bday i planned the trip particularly for that day. There was nothing planned for that day in the itenary. Even when i pointed it out lady asharda said oh mam nothing is certain it might change there you send me one o one mail and i will look into it. Nothing happened. B) i categorically told them that rooms are small that part of the world i wont mind an upgrade but need spacious room on days we are staying in city as going with kids. Response : ma'am thomas cook don't provide dingy rooms.. Dingiest room i have stayed till date.. There was no proper bathroom. C) i am single mom travelling with kid i want the entire package including flights... It is group package we can't do that still i giving you the quotes. Ofcourse it was expensive so on advice of chetna there sales executive i tried booking myself... I was pushed to book same flight by myself too else they can't provide airport transfer as it's group booking... And there were cheaper direct flights at other time. D) i was told we have given you beach resort with beautiful veiw in santosa... I was given basement floor with veiw of some roof top or barren window sill. Don't know what... Again mail sent no response.
                  E) now the biggest surprise i was never part of group... I was only one on all days who was from thomas cook and people were surprised as they had book from local tour coordinator in there city and thought that's the reason things are messy and they have paid half the price.
                  F) out of 6 day trip 4 day itenary was planned... Two days when i was staying in city i was given tours at santossa island and two days and santossa i was ideal... Or i had choice to book taxi and come back to city as i didn't get chance to see the city so much after telling it's just me and my daughter and will need everything organised... They completed cheated on me... And didn't even revert to my complaint emails.
                  G) it is meager to mention rudeness and attitude there staff carries in the process of booking.

                  I have done tours regular with mmt and goibibo... Want to really give then 5 stars to there customer service way above the standards if the above mentioned is what brand standards are

                    This is sarah suvidha mallela have registered for australian visa with thomas cook. My reference i'd is vi00022106, i have been very sorry for doing my booking with thomas cook. Thomas cook has the least customer care service. I have paid a month back but there is no generation of a payment receipt. There is no proper revert. It has become very difficult to communicate regarding documents. Did not expect such a treatment. Feeling sorry for myself to be in associated with thomas cook. I have paid the processing fees for my friend name raaga kakarla as well. But due to change of plan she is not applying and i want a refund of that payment. I have been continuously trying to contact people about my friends refund and my application. But very sad that this is being completely ignored.

                        Sub: cheating by thomas cook.

                        Ref: summer 2018 japanese extravaganza - tour date : may 20, 2018

                        I am sure by now you must know that all the group customers of the above group tour have been extremely dis-satisfied. To clearly highlight what we feel and how we have been cheated by thomas cook, i am sending you the details hoping that at ceo level something will be achieved.

                        1. Pre-sales : my pre-booking experience was horrific (So was with most other co-travelers).
                        After taking my money, your staff just disappeared. Never bothered to call or get in touch. I was the one who then called for visa application. The visa was delivered on the last day before travel along with itinerary, hotel details and insurance.
                        The reasons given were all lies. The person like santosh (Avp south) or his staff did not even know how many people from bangalore are on this tour. They kept telling me that japan consulate requires passports of all people together traveling in the group. I knew that only two more people were with us from bangalore. But i was made to believe that there are many more and that delay in visa processing is due to some people not giving the passports on time. Complete lie. Looks like lying is thomas cook culture. When we met the other couple from bangalore, we were shocked to know that they had submitted their documents well in advance.
                        I kept asking the contact details of co-passengers with us from bangalore. Your persons kept giving excuses for not giving us the details. Maybe trying to prevent us from knowing the facts and catching them in their act of lying.
                        During our pre-booking discussions we were told that this tour is a premium category tour and all hotels, bus etc will be 4*+ nothing less. I made it clear to the junior level executive vishwanath, that i do not use hotels less than 5* so if the hotels are 3* or similar then i do not want to go. I was assured that all hotels were 4*+ and above. I also wanted to upgrade my air ticket to business class, but your people failed to do this. They lied to me again that they cannot make even seat booking and book me premium seats as well. Again lying thru their teeth.
                        I had made it clear in the pre-booking survey about all this, but i thought i should write to you again, wasting my time, since you are ceo and is responsible for the cheating of your customers.

                        2. Ticketing: we have to say that your people (Un-trained) have no clue about ticketing. The sales people act and are postman. They put the blame on operations and back office. Maybe this is by design and management culture of thomas cook.
                        Our ticket routing was so bad that even a fresher with some decent training can do a better job. While going we had a huge lay-over at singapore (7 hours). This was unwarranted as there were better connection possible.
                        While returning we were giiven a flight at 11.25pm on may 30th when many others got a flight at 11.25am. Both were via singapore and had on ward connections to various cities in india. We were put up in the hotel without lunch.
                        The connection to bangalore from singapore was also very poor. Less than the std 2.50 hours. Only one thing can be concluded : pathetic management and training with no care for customers time and comfort.

                        3. On-tour: bad. Very bad.
                        Many of the group members have already written mails about this. You must have surely got copies of the same.
                        Hotels at three locations were very sub-standard. Infact they were like bag-packers lodges. This against assurance of 4*+ hotels to be provided. This is nothing else but cheating under ipc 420.
                        All other hotels except at narita were less than 4*+ category hotels.
                        Bus : not very good. Without wifi, rest-room and small seats. Any premium category tour, is provided with better buses with at least wifi. But then this is too much to expect from thomas cook, whose mission statement is cheat people.

                        Meals : your itinerary indicated jyp 2500 per person will be given to us to have meal of our choice. Not done. Only jyp 2000 given once. What happened to other amount. We were not told about any change of plans and looks like thomas cook has pocketed our jyp 3000.00 per head.. Again cheating by thomas cook.
                        Breakfast : do you know what is american breakfast? This is what was to be provided. However sometimes breakfast provided was not good for even animals. Again cheating by thomas cook.
                        Itinerary: you must have received mails about this from others in the group tour. To emphasize again, the itinerary was so poorly designed that we spent more than twice the amount of time in bus than doing site-seeing. Do you as ceo bother to look at these things or just only bothered about how to fool people and increase your stock value?
                        Local guide: i feel there can be improvement in the quality of people provided for premium tours. We have seen much better / polished guides when using other service providers. But to expect this from thomas cook is asking for too much. The whole premise is to cheat people and make quick bucks.

                        We have paid a huge amount of money : rs 275000.00 per person for this tour. Thomas cook has no right to charge us this amount when they have not provided us with good hotels, meals, breakfast, bus, ticketing and itinerary.
                        We feel, thomascook should refund us rs 30, 000.00 per head for all the trouble that we were put thru, the agony that we had to go thru and for ruining our planned holiday plus jyp 3000.00 that we were supposed to get on tour, which have been stolen by thomas cook.

                        Let me know when you will transfer this amount to bank account so that i can send the bank details.

                          Hi team,

                          I am writting this email after getting cheated by your kolkata exide branch. I was processing tourist visa of my parents for netherlands.

                          The people over there not only misguided tgroughout the process but also misbehaved.

                          As a result of this they have taken almst 60k inr from us but two times visa got rejected.

                          I am now in trouble to process visa for my parents as they are already in rejection list.

                          I do not know how i will process next time but at least i want the people to be punished for their work.

                          If you are not going to take any action, i am going to post this in all over social media to take necessary actions. Also i want my money back as the mistakes were done by your side only.

                          Such a shame on you!

                            I made initial payment for 5 person for a trip to us. I have been assigned 4 different travel coordinators but nobody calls me or mails me regarding anything after payment. When i finally tracked them through various customer care call, they are saying visa cannot be processed for me. When i ask about refund, they are not addressing my query. I have tried calling them for the past 4 days and no solution or response from their side. Very pathetic service. I want my refund.

                              Hello,
                              I am frequent flyer first of all and this is thing happening in cochin i hqve never seen it. Last time there was noone in the kiosk after immigration. This time i stopped before immigration but there was no euro! So they told me to go inside and maybe last time the person was having lunch. Inside your fee is more than double than befoce the immigration.
                              Nice trick to make even more money!!!
                              Of course i didn exchange and this will never happen again in your store as well as i will inform anyone for this situation.

                                Worst expereience of my lifetime - super bad customer service, super bad cordination - super bad arrangement

                                Its just a big brand with little concern for its customers. Poor quality of service

                                You make your payment & post that the calls go unanswered

                                No single point of contact-evertime you end up talking to a different travel advisor for the same trip information

                                No accomodation details shared before hand-they share it last minute

                                Despite of taking down my meal preference on mail & call i get stay in pure veg resort

                                In the name of std rooms they give yu lodging house and in the name of luxury/deluxe you get standar rooms
                                In case of any issues on the journey - nobody takes you call/ replies to your mail

                                My itenary changed last minute and i had no clue. No information given on phone / mail. On landing the airport i know my first place of travel has changed. I actually had plans of catching up with friends who came all the way to meet - screwed up

                                When i am seekign resolution for the mess they did, i am assured necessary steps will be taken against the representative. But what happens to the disappointment i went through? If such actions were actually taken then i would not have seen so many complaints on this blog. This shows this is a regular practice and not a rare displeasure a customer faces

                                Most places of importance of a given tour are not covered most of the time. Always cross check other travel agencies itinerary and compare.

I booked with jain meal but i ‘m very angry and highly disappointed b’coz we didn’t got any vegan food in the dinner tonite. We are sleeping empty stomach as we are in the bushes and we can’t go anywhere outside to hunt for food. If there is no arrangement for vegans in this hotel then you should not book tours for vegetarians at krugerz.

                                    I bought thomas cook travel card and got 493 euros added in it. Its the card in black colour.
                                    I was told that while in europe, i can use up to 2 free atm withdrawls.
                                    I made only one withdrawl and i only remember choosing language as english and entering amount in euros i. E. 450, i got a message that not enough euros available.
                                    I then tried with 400 and i got them from the atm in paris on champs eleyees street.
                                    I was told by thomas cook person not to use this card in switzerland as they can make the transaction in swiss frank. So i made sure to get all money from atm in paris itself.
                                    Later when i logged on to website i found, transaction occurred in usd and i didnt even choose any option to withdraw usd and i got money out in euros only.

                                    I am feeling cheated by thomas cook travel cards, as i lost 65+ euros.
                                    This is big cheating and i am asking for complete 65+ euros back in my card/account.

                                    I was promised different hotels at the time of booking but received different in my confirmation voucher. The concerned person is not picking up and not responding to emails also. Had a work with their manager and she is also not responding properly and dealing with the issue. They are fraud.

                                      I have done many mail but revert received that i am not eligible as i have not paid full amount in one transaction. But your representative not told me about that she has shared the links of payment as she guided i have done the payment then where is my fault. Now she has not replied a single mail of mine. They promised me i will get the cash back.
