Forex Transaction Not refunded

Hello,
I has initiated forex transaction through Thomas Cook Online Portal and successfully Paid the amount in INR. They need KYC to be completed through online but they were unable to call me and my transaction is still on hold. After providing my email and number they still haven't call me and didn't give any response even after calling their HQ in Mumbai. I am attaching all the necessary document.

Eight Sr citizens went to Kashmir based on Thomas cook tour package. We opted for 4 rooms. Payment made online based on their online grid for each family, took almost whole day with too much hassle. Hotel voucher not given until we check in the houseboat at Srinagar. When received the hotel voucher we realised Thoms cook sublet the tour to a local contractor. Houseboat accommodation at Srinagar was horrible, dirty toilet, revolving toilet seat, rusted pointed toilet paper stand, no hot water for bath at night or room heater.

At Pahalgam, Thomas Cook given us servant quarters with no proper access to enter the room. Revolving toilet seats, leaking health faucet, rotating washbasin tap are few highlights. After 3 days of struggle, we got apologies from Thomas Cook. No AC tempo traveler given, no park visit ticket given, no valley visit transport given as per quotation and we found this new management does not care about the promise, quotation or customers. Once money paid to them will not come back. Thomas Cook really cooked us.

    Very bad experience
    We booked a international tour which is called off by Thomas cook itself before one week of departure & till date they have not refunded my money in spite of my several reminders by email to Service Quality & Customer Care Team & others
    I am senior citizen & all my harden money is from my pension which is given to Thomas cook in 2 months advance of our schedule trip date
    Be careful while booking trip with Thomas cook

      Thomas cook India service is very bad and they are lending money form customers.
      Company is not following the simple customer request by making mistakes in names while booking tickets and booking flights without checking the timings between them and making travellers more worried and spoiling the whole trip to chaos. We are travelling for relaxation and they are making the trip into a worst cases and making us not to travel anymore.

      Also company members are blocking the numbers if we are requested for correction or complaints against the planned travel.

        Please refer to the Forex Prepaid card (Ending with 1160) issued to me from Thomas Cook Office in Malleshwaram, Bangalore.

        I wish to inform that the above card was lost and I already lodged a request on your customer care number to block the card. I also requested for card replacement to email ID [protected]@thomascook.in but there is no response since last 12 days. Even I called the customer care number but they repeatedly disconnected my request. Please help..

          Replaced Borderless card not activated

          Hi,

          My Name is Shashi Bhardwaj [shashi.[protected]@tcs.com] and works with TCS and i have got forex Boderless prepaid Card in later year but in year 2021 they asked us for the replacement of card because of new guideline from RBI.

          They have sent the new Borderless Prepaid Card by courier to my Australia Address, but this was not activated and when i connected to customer Care they also unable to help me.

                Hello Sirs,

                Need your kind attention and help here.

                I have booked the below mentioned holiday tour on 1st June 2023 for me and my mother .

                Tour Code: ZBE[protected]tour travel date 11th July.)
                Booking id: CGT2307155
                Reference No. : HD00136749

                However due to some unfortunate family issue I have cancel my holiday tour.

                I have requested for cancellation and refund of booking on 2nd June only. Still I was told incidents is being raised to address this and sometimes telling it cannot be refunded.

                I have been calling toll free number so many times but not getting any response.
                So many incidents has been raised [Incident:[protected]], [Incident:[protected]], [Incident:[protected]], but none of the incidents responded.
                Most of all teh numbers are not being picked or if picked they tehy are keeping quiet on it.

                Kindly help me with the refund of booking fees which me and my mother has booked .
                Rs 2 lakh is very big amount for us that we have spent for booking .Booking was just made 1 day ago .So we expect a refund of this amount.

                Need your urgent help in refunding the booking amount .

                  I booked Australian delight tour package ( departure date 21st June 2023), on 21 Aprill 2023 through sales execitive Ms Shabana. On 22nd Aprill 2023, I decided to cancel it due short time gap between visa processing and departure date. On 22nd Aprill I informed Ms Shabana on her company mail id as well as whatsapp to cancel my booking and revert refund on my credit card. She told me on phone that refund request has been sent to backend team. Till date i have neither received my refund nor any revert from Thomas Cook India. My booking reference number is HP00005861. Kindly help resolve my refund issue.

                    Sir, Iam the retired Chief Engineer from Government of Tamil Nadu. During the month of August 22 myself, my uncle and my friend decided to perform journey to LONDON and PARRYS. on September22. On behalf of Mr.Chakkaravarthy advice initial deposit of rs.30000/-for each person total 90000/- paid to THOMAS COOK during the month of AUGUST22 as follows 1)AD00178896, CFT2206441. 2)AD00179999, CFT2206441, 3) AD00179136, CFT2206441. But due to delay in getting London Visa, the above Journey was cancelled. On 17th October we are decided to perform JAPAN Tour during 26th March.23. But subsquently on 9th December due to my health issue I was informed the Manager regarding the issues, and not able to perform the JAPAN Tour and requested to refund the money paid by us. But no response from the Manager Mr.CHAKKARAVARTHY.. He is not attending my phone calls also. This is my 3rd trip joining with THOMAS COOH tour . My previous experince is very nice with THOMAS COOH. This is the bitter experience due to Branch Manager. Kindly refund the money early .

                        After booking the Europe tour more than a month back March 2023 and joining the group directly in zurich, ( as we went from India earlier on a personal visit to Sweden and indeed to fly from stockholm to zurich to join the group)the tour operator told me to come to Paris just a week before the tour commences. The exit which was from Paris was also changed to Milan which is not there in the original booking form nor shared any revised tour itinerary. The tour operator as per the mail wishes to invoke the terms and conditions at the time of booking inspite of deficiency of service.

                          We have booked our honeymoon package through thomascook, Saifabad branch through our service provider miss Heena. When she sent our flight ticket details we have noticed that check in baggage was mentioned as ‘0’ kgs and we enquired the same with miss heena twice, two days before departure and four hours before departure, (because we were offered the whole package with check in baggage only), she told us for malaysian airlines it will show like that only but they will allow us with check in baggage of 23 kgs for each ticket. As a couple, who were traveling first time in international airlines, we trusted her blindly and reached airport, where the airlines authorities told us that our tickets were booked with zero baggage facility and we were asked to pay extra money to carry our baggage with us which was around Rs. 50000( the price was so high for last minute booking) When we immediately called her and told her regarding this, she realized her blunder but didn’t promise us to repay the amount if we can spend on that extra baggage. She was asked us to manage ourselves and would try to see what ever possible she could do after we come back from our vacation. As we had lost trust on her words from her previous behavior, we decided not to spent that much amount of money ( which was not in our plans and was difficult to manage at that moment) and had to sent back most of our luggage with our parents from airport and managed by giving Rs. 10000 as a bribe to allow that extra kgs which we managed to dump in our hand baggage (very few clothes which were important) and wanted to manage with them. It spoiled everything that we planned for our first international trip and most importantly our honeymoon. From this experience we didn’t want to face the same issue with the return flight and asked her to book the extra baggage as its their in their promised package and will cost less when pre- booked ( we were planning to buy some clothes in bali as we send back most of our clothes and was planning to buy some return gifts to our family for which hand baggage wouldn’t sufficient ). As a person who should feel ashamed for not learning from her previous experience and as a worst service provider who doesn’t even know how to comfort their customers, she did the same mistake till the last minute (by not responding to our calls properly during our trip) and asked us to book the baggage ourselves in the last minute. As we were not able to book the baggage from our mobiles in Bali, we requested our friends from india to book the baggage service and they booked. Just because of her negligence we had to spend around Rs. 40000 extra in our whole trip and most importantly we lost the peace of mind (which is the whole purpose behind choosing thomas cook instead of planning on our own). When we came back and visited that saifabad branch, she barely responded to us and was very negligent. In between the busy schedule of ours When ever we go there to meet the manager they were telling like he was not there. We waited a long to deal it at the branch level but was not happening. As a people who came from middle class background and who never visited any international place, we spent most of our savings and expectations on this trip which turned out to be the worst trip in our lives. I request you to please take up the matter very seriously and resolve it as soon as possible. I am hereby attaching the flight ticket and extra luggage booked by us for return journey.                                 It's been 9 months that i applied for Singapore visa from thomascook and they said that they will refund my money since their visa services were down at that time. I am so tired of calling everyone for the refund amount.

                                  I traveled to the USA on January 6th from Bombay to Newyork and before traveling i did go to the Mangalore office on Jan 3rd for availing FOREX and at that time the staff apprised me about the prepaid borderless card and that, I need to transfer money online to Thomas cook account. Since some buffer time is required by the banks for transferring money, i took the account details and transferred to their account online from my ICICI bank account on January 4 and on the evening of Jan 4 i collected the prepaid card and proceeded to travel.
                                  After landing in newyork i tried the swipe option on the card and it showed declined. though i took it initially as common since there could be some activation problems i paid in cash which i had. Again subsequently whenever i was using the swipe option it always declined causing a lot of embarrassment that too outside India. Whe i wrote an email to [protected]@thomascook.in, in case of any transaction failures, which i got from browsing their website the reply from that email was that they do not deal with transaction problems. Next was with [protected]@thomascook.in, from one by the name Vishnu poojari, after exchanging a few emails, the final statement was that "Dear Cardholder,
                                  Regrets for the inconvenience. There were many fraud cases occurring because of the swipe option.So we removed that option" .
                                  My question was that they could have briefed me earlier instead o[censored]sing their marketing strategies to enhance the marketing prospects of the card and finding a scapegoat in me. Overall i felt very embarrassed and was using the wifi option if it is available and also only the places web transactions were available.
                                  Now i am back in India, I require an apology and damages from the team and whoever was involved.

                                    My parents had booked Asia tour many months back after I insisted they need to travel the world. I advised them to use Thomas Cook as I felt it was well reputed and when I was c=visiting Europe I saw few people travelling with them. Thomas Cook (TC) very well knew that this trip is going to include 3 countries. We were asked on September 8, 2022 to submit all the documents by Sept 13, 2022. We have submitted all the document to Mr. Emanuel at the Hyderabad office by the said date. There was no delay on our end.

                                    All through the process, my father had been asking and communicating about the itinerary but no one replied back to him. A very poor customer service from the Indian organization of the prestigious TC. Then about few days before the actual trip on Oct 13, 2022. my father insisted that he needs to know what is happening, he was told that they cannot issue or give any itinerary because he has to pay the remaining balance- which was due as there was a change in the value to the INR from the time they booked the tour and if not they were not going to issue the tickets.

                                    Paying money was never an issue, but what really bothered my parents was that they were told that what rate was agreed to in the past, that rate had changed due to change in the value of the INR- understandable. They paid the difference of about 9000 INR. They were finally sent the itinerary for the trip 1 day before the departure on 12 October 2022 and were told that the visa to Malaysia was rejected. They were given 2 options- travel to Malaysia- stay in the airport and then travel onwards and complete the tour-staying in Malaysia in the airport or book a flight to Singapore at their own expense and then complete the rest of the leg of the tour. Mind you, this is 1 day before the actual travel date.

                                    They could not understand what was happening and ultimately got fed up and helpless talking to Mr. Nadim at the Mumbai office. They had called him but he stopped answering their calls. I had to intervene and call the Mumbai office to help them figure this whole fiasco.

                                    When I spoke to Mr. Nadim, he mentioned the same thing and told me that the only options left were for us to cancel the trip and that we would be charged the cancellation fees or to book our tickets on own to Singapore and continue the journey from there, skipping Malaysia, if we prefer.

                                    What is really surprising is the way they told me this, very non-chalant and not a bit of sympathy or remorse for the mistake that was committed. I should really admire the manager-mentor/supervisor on how they have trained him. Kudos to them.

                                    When I asked that how TC could book the tickets just few days before the trip inspite of the knowledge that the Malaysian visa was rejected, Nadim told me that they always to do it this way and advised me to refer to their terms and conditions.

                                    Great planning by TC. I can only admire and be content about their planning skills from a great travel organization. I hope the training/planning team all the best with their policy. If your policy is to book tickets without visa and if the visa is not issued, there is nothing much you can do, I can only admire your boldness in telling me the same without any repentance. They also asked me to look at their terms and conditions as I was ignorant of their policies. Wow- great customer service.

                                    I serve in the US Army and when I was deployed, I used to comfort my parents everyday and one of the days when I was talking to them, I had asked them to get of India and roam the world. They told me that they would not like to go anywhere as they don't know how and where to go. I took a lot of time looking for various options and told/insisted that they should go with Thomas Cook.

                                    When I visited Europe with my wife in 2017, I saw a lot of Thomas Cook buses and felt that the passengers were all Indian senior citizens and felt that they were well taken care. I, based on that stupid excuse/experience, insisted that they have to go through Thomas Cook. I looked up the number for the Hyderabad office and got them in touch with an agent who spoke to them and convinced them that this is going to be an awesome trip. I was excited that they chose Thomas Cook and they were excited to go on this trip.

                                    What really bothers me is the kind of deceitful practice that the Indian part of Thomas Cook has done in this whole scenario. They have not only wasted the precious time of my parents but also hurt us emotionally and mentally. This will affect them for a long time.

                                    TC clearly mentioned that the Malaysian site is down for 1 week, why did none of the so called travel agents from TC organization inform us that the site is down?

                                    Why were my parents not informed about the issue with the Malaysian visa?

                                    TC issued them tickets to Malaysia and sent these tickets 1 day before their departure date and did not even inform that the Malaysian visa was not issued. They came to know about this when they called the Hyderabad Office and then called the Mumbai office to find out what should they do next as they do not have the Malaysian visa.

                                    Why were my parents not given details about the itinerary despite their repeated requests?

                                    Why did TC issue a ticket and send the itinerary 1 day before departure inspite knowing that malaysian visa was not granted, when your travel agency well knows that it is impossible to get the malaysian visa.

                                    Why did you force them to pay the remaining balance and insist that they have to pay additional money for insurance.

                                    After all this, TC did not give us any options-they asked us to cancel the trip with the due charges that will be deducted and they said they will refund the remaining amount. We had made all the arrangements to travel. TC has not only wasted our valuable time but also did not keep us informed about what was happening.

                                    I understand that travel and the whole planning process is very intricate and tedious but that is what Thomas Cook is good at, but they have totally screwed this trip.

                                    If TC would have informed us that they still did not receive the Malaysian visa, we would have asked that the trip be postponed but they have not given us any information. There is lack of transparency and there was so much pressure from TC to pay that now it feels that the sole purpose of Thomas Cook in India is to deceive people of their hard earned money. Once TC got the money, they make their own rules about how to deduct charges and fees- very unethical, unprofessional and unlike the ideals of the organization.

                                    Thomas Cook kept us in darkness about every process and also tried to just scam us into cancelling the trip so that they can charge the cancellation fees.

                                    Forcing us to travel on our own to Singapore on our own cost and not do the Malaysian leg at all. Thomas cook has become so incompetent and money mongering- I have always felt that Thomas Cook has good ethics and I had informed my parents to only go through Thomas Cook for your reputation, but seems like Thomas Cook has hired incompetent people who don't know what they are doing and I will inform all my friends the scary tactics and manipulative techniques used by you guys to force senior citizens into spending their hard earned money on an organization that has moved away from serving travelers to just thinking of their own profits.
