I am writing from saltlake, kolkata. I tried to withdraw cash of Rs. 5000 on 31.10.2009 from HDFC ATM, located in Saltlake, sector-III branch. But no response from ATM and returned my debit card. But my bank (union bank of India) is debited. I given complaint in my UBI branch.

I AM A STUDENT OF MDI GURGAON (FIRST YEAR) CURRENTLY. AND TO FINANCE MY FEE, I TOOK A EDUCATION LOAN FROM UNION BANK (BRANCH: DHUMA, DISTRICT: SEONI, MP). FOR A LOAN OF 7.95 LAC. MY FATHER SUBMITTED COLLATERAL OF 26 LAC FOR THAT. BUT NOW THEY ARE ALSO DEMANDING MY PERSONAL LIFE INSURANCE, AND THAT TOO FROM UNION BANK ONLY. IS IT FAIR TO DEMAND OR ENFORCE SUCH A CONDITION FOR AN EDUCATION LOAN? IF NOT, PROVIDE MY THE REMEDY.

I have been suffering from the customer service o[censored]BI for last two years. On 13th March, 09, I tried to withdraw money from HDFC bank's ATM and because of some technical problem the machine could not dispatched the money.
