    I Birendra Kumar went to HDFC ATM in Jaipuriya Plaza, Sec-26, Noida to withdraw Rs 4000 using my UBI ATM card A/C – [protected] on[protected] around 5 PM. No cash came out of the machine and also no transaction slip came out stating that the transaction failed. On the same day I came to know that Rs 4000 was deducted from my UBI account.

    I Santosh saha went to PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK ATM in Nahera Branch, Sakri, dist :-Durbhanga, Bihar to withdraw Rs 10000/- using my UBI ATM card A/C – [protected] on[protected] around 9 AM. No cash came out of the machine and also no transaction slip came out stating that the transaction failed. On the same day I came to know that Rs 10000/- was deducted from my UBI account. I am immediately informed punjab National Bank but no body Response to me.
    So Sir plz, help me. And u inform me which is the process of clime my money.
    I sindhu S withdrawn 10000/- from my UBI A/C at SBT ATM on 3-03-10 slip came out stating that sorry transaction failed but from my A/C 10000/- Rs has been deducted please guide.

        Hope you have submitted a copy of your ATM receipt along with a letter to your UBI branch manager, requesting him to upload the details to the Head Office.

        UBI HO will contact HDFC HO and call for the refund, which will take place after verification by HDFCSBI.

        As a precaution you can give a copy to the HDFC branch which controls the HDFC ATM

          I AM A STUDENT OF MDI GURGAON (FIRST YEAR) CURRENTLY. AND TO FINANCE MY FEE, I TOOK A EDUCATION LOAN FROM UNION BANK (BRANCH: DHUMA, DISTRICT: SEONI, MP). FOR A LOAN OF 7.95 LAC. MY FATHER SUBMITTED COLLATERAL OF 26 LAC FOR THAT. BUT NOW THEY ARE ALSO DEMANDING MY PERSONAL LIFE INSURANCE, AND THAT TOO FROM UNION BANK ONLY. IS IT FAIR TO DEMAND OR ENFORCE SUCH A CONDITION FOR AN EDUCATION LOAN? IF NOT, PROVIDE MY THE REMEDY.

          The life insurance will be to cover the possibility of your untimely death.

          Without the insurance: if you were to pass away before the loan was repaid [perhaps even before completion of the course] your father would not only lose your support but would also have to pay off the loan

          WITH the insurance: if you were to pass away, at least your father would not have that additional burden since the remaining loan balance would be paid by the insurance company and your

          So I would suggest everybody to take an insurance in such cases. The cost is minimal, the potential benefit absolutely desirable.

          The cover will be a pure life cover, not investment oriented, and as such it will be as cheap as possible. In fact neither the insurance companies nor their agents make much money on these plans --- which is why they will NEVER try to hardsell them.

          But that is the very reason such plans can be a good idea !!!

          Which company you take it from will make little difference, and taking through the same bank may simply be easier and more convenient in the overall context.

          So I would suggest just go ahead with their requirement, it is just a complete advantage for you

          Student — Forced to take an insurance policy

          SBI is now forcing citizens who want to open a new savings account with their branch to take a life insurance scheme named "Swadhan" under SBI Life insurance for a minimum 10 yr. period.
          I was denied a right to open account as I refused to oblige with their request of taking the insurance policy.

          MUMBAI: Some former junior employees of Rolta India suddenly find themselves in a jam. Eighty five employees, whose services were terminated or

          who ‘resigned’, are left with the burden of a bank loan. This loan was taken at the company’s behest to pay the enrolment fee for an in-house training programme.

          Rolta India says that the services of 50 employees were terminated for non-performance while 35 employees resigned rather than having their services terminated. Some of the aggrieved former employees told ET that about 150 of them were without a job and struggling to repay the loan of Rs 2.5 lakh.

          As part of its recruitment policy, Rolta India trains all new recruits for three months at Rolta Academy, a division within the company. Each recruit has to pay a ‘non-recourse security deposit’ of Rs 2.5 lakh. Rolta has a strategic arrangement with Union Bank of India to make the amount available as an educational loan.

          The Rolta website says “selected candidates will be given an offer letter, which will be valid for a period of 15 days within which they can organise the deposit from the bank with the help of the company”. The bank disburses the loan directly to Rolta India by way of a pay order/demand draft.

          Rolta would pay the interest on the loan, which also forms part of the employee’s monthly salary, and pay the principal amount to the bank in two instalments of Rs 1.25 lakh each, one after 39 months and the second, 12 months later. If the employee resigns during this period, the company is absolved from paying the loan.
          Former employees, who spoke to ET on condition of anonymity, allege the company created conditions due to which they were forced to resign and there was no prior warning. Some were given as little as 10-14 days to leave the company after being employed for almost close to a year.
          Many of these employees approached Union Bank with a request to reschedule the EMI.

          In response to an email query by ET, senior officials of Rolta said, “the amount in question is not a fee, but a ‘refundable deposit’, to discourage the employee from using the academy as a training ground to merely increase his market value. On the contrary, he/she receives full salary and does not have to worry about repaying the loan and interest, if he/she intends to fulfil the employment obligations.”

          However, the loan agreement with the bank stipulates that whenever a student/employee resigns from Rolta, the entire loan amount will become payable immediately and the bank will have the liberty to take appropriate recovery measures to recover the loan.
          The agreement also categorically absolves the company from paying or remitting the monthly interest or further repayments to the bank. Significantly, the loan given at an annual 12.25%, attracts an additional interest of 2% over and above the stipulated interest rate in the event of a delay or default in payment. An e-mail sent to the bank remained unanswered till the time of going to press.

          Interestingly, most frontline IT companies do not levy any fees for the inhouse training, but many companies do insist on a bond.

            plz find,

            I AWDESH RAJKUMAR MISHRA having account with union bank of india bearing acoount no-[protected]
            have given complain on toll free no [protected] on 13 aug 2009 and various times regarding
            a debit of RS 785 twice while paying restaurant bill, the restaurant owner did not recieve the amount but the amount got debited through my account ie Rs 1570 was less in my account.

            The customer executive gave my complain no as 54225 and 54226 on 13 aug and assured within 30 workind days this issue will get resolved.After 30 working days also it was not resolved,so on 23 sep 2009 i again gave complain bearing no-95446 and 95442. but no body is botherd about my complain.Around 10-15 times i called [protected] there were two supervisors named MEESAM AND VISHAL these people told me nothing is in their hand and when i asked VISHAL how much time this will take he told i dont know we cant assure and even this supervisor did not provide me any alternate number he told we dont know any number.

            IF my issue is not resolved till 10 oct 2009 then my next mail will go to consumer forum and RBI,because this is 2nd time iam facing the problem, even in the month of april 2009 RS 3100 was debited but i did not receive the money it took 2 months to resolve the issue.

            ITS only because i had faith in ur bank thats why i closed my account with icici n hdfc,but iam losing faith now. so plz help me n resolve my issue.

            I suggest you send this letter DIRECTLY to the Bank branch concerned
            i am using unionbank debit card in sbi atm and i got only my half side of the atm card and remaining back side it get blocked inside the atm machine my card number is [protected] validity 07/08 to 07/13 so kindly blocked my atm card
            Pls urgently stop all the transactions from this a/c. no. [protected], it has been stolen by pickpokets, owner:

              Sir,

              Last yer in the month of April we have deposited a Demand Draft No. 030281, dtd. 26.03.2008 for Rs. 5000/- in Our Union Bank of India, Sulur Branch Account and get credited for the Amount. After Some days our Customer informed us that the Demand Draft was for Rs. 15000/- and by Mistakenly Written as Rs. 5000/- by The Bank peoples of State Bank of Travancore, Thiruvalla Branch. For that again we gone to our Branch and informed about this matter and after a veryfication of all the documents in Union Bank of India and State Bank of Travancore Coimbatore Branch we found that The Demand Draft was Written for Rs. 5000/- and Coded for Rs. 15000/-. In Between Our Customer also collected a letter from Their home Branch that the Amount collected for Demand Draft was Rs. 15000/-. After a Long time of Request The Branch Manager of State Bank of Travancore told us to Collect the Amount from Your Bank and Ask Union Bank to Write a letter officially for this regard, But Alrady One and Half Years past The Branch Manager o[censored]nion Bank of India is not taking any step to remit our Balance of Rs. 10000/- and if We will ask in this regards they are not showing any Seriousness. Simply they are trying to pushing it a side.

              Kindly Suggest us what to do for geting back of our Balance Rs. 10000/-

              I have to say that i wanted to open an account in BAHADURPUR HOUSING COLONY, IFSC CODE UBIN0554022.when I visited to branch i was torchered intensionally by CRO, then i met to branch manager, he himself also torchored me for my address proof.

              he said that why r u intrested to apoen an account in this branch??

              so i said that normally because my friend(ubi introducer) lives in bahadurpur housing colony.

              i can open an account anywhere in patna district.why not???????


              who is easy&near i will open anaccount.

                You will need to send a request for change of address to the correct office.

                You will also need to check if the dividend has already been sent to your old address. Perhaps it was sent but could not be delivered because you were not there.

                  Hi Sir/Mam,

                  I have been suffering from the customer service o[censored]BI for last two years. On 13th March, 09, I tried to withdraw money from HDFC bank's ATM and because of some technical problem the machine could not dispatched the money. I tried to make a call to the 24x7 call center service o[censored]BI and on some numbers like[protected] and[protected], nobody attends the call. I tried so many times and for so many days. They might be engaged in some other important work for what they have not been hired. And on another number which is[protected], they attend the call (after so many times u already tried and got the engage tone), but they don't have the time to even listen the customer. First person attends the call, refer it to operator and operator without asking anything forward the call to some senior person, who has the limited time to just say, "2043 per call karo", in a really very rude way.

                  I hope the action will be taken and the customer would get some relief.

                  i got fed up now with union bank, my atm got los t and today is sunday and this bank call center peoples is not responding no one is picking call wat to do
                  hi every body

                  I never seen this kind of very very bad customer service.This kind of service given UBI only well done UBI keep it up.You dont try to give better service ok
                  all the best of all UBI staffs and management.
                  I swear this is the worst bank I have ever seen.I was in UBI, Airoli branch yesterday.And I spent two hours waiting in que for my turn to come as they have only one single window for withdrawal and deposit.It was only before their closing time they decided to form another line seperately for customers who wanted to deposit below 10000/- .This is ridiculous! Till date I thought SBI was the worst bank because it is too crowded always but infact SBI is fast.They spend less than a minute on each customer unlike Union bank.
                  I swear in the name of god that UNION BANK IS THE WORST EVER IN TERMS OF CALL CENTER OPERATIONS> My dad lost his card today and I am calling them for the fourth time at their 24x7 call center number [protected] The call just goes and is kept on waiting for eeons. Why do you folks even have a bank when you have such a pitiful service.

                    This is to kindly inform you that I "Kamal arora" is having a saving account No. [protected] in your Branch and received a ATM card no. [protected] through your bank.

                    On 27.8.2009 on around 9.30 Pm in night, I wished to draw Rs.20, 000/- from ICICI Bank, situated at Mahipal pur petrol pump near Hotel Radisson, the process was smooth, but the money coming out was stuck up in the jaws of machine and could not be taken out by me and went back in to the machine, and on checking the balance, it shows minus Rs. 20, 000/-, which even did not come into my hands..

                    I request you to kindly lodge an immediately complaint for this and pay back the money into my account.

                        Respected Sir,
                        I was debited 400 Rs. from the SBI ATM of Tularam Chowk by the UBI ATM Card No. [protected] and Account No. is [protected] of the State Bar Councel High Court Jabalpur on dated 06.05.09 but I was not found the money Rs. 400 and the account statement has show the debited amount Rs. 400. So please do the needful. I was using the UBI ATM card.

                        I'm a SBI Account holder.I made a transaction three times, Rs 200/- each (total amount Rs 600/-) from your atm, located at Vandi Periyar (Kerala) on 16 Aug 2009 at 1800hrs (approx). No money was receiving from your atm machine. The message dispaly as "SORRY UNABLE TO PROCESS". I take a mini statement form other atm its shows the three times transction was made. I also gave a written complaint to concerned union bank on 19 Aug 2009. Due to holiday and Sunday I unable to gave a complaint that the same day. Please verify the same and do the needful action.7

                          My name is V.N.Aparna.I am 24 years old.I am working in TCS.I own a plot in Miyapur, Hyderabad.I planned to construct an Independent house(only ground floor) there.For this, I approached Union Bank, Jubilee Hills branch, Hyderabad last year in May 2008.As per the plan, I requested for Rs.12 Lakhs housing loan which got sanctioned on 04/06/08.
                          In November 2008, I requested for my housing loan transfer to newly opened Kukatpally branch which is nearer to my the site.So further disbursements were continued from Kukatpally branch.Later on I revised my plan and wanted to construct 1st floor as well.For this, I requested the branch for Rs.9 Lakhs as enhancement.I submitted my application for enhancement along with all required documents like revised plan, revised estimation from builder, revised estimation from Bankers' CA panel etc in February 2009. As the branchs' loan sanctioning limit is Rs.12 Lakhs only, my enhancement request was forwarded to Regional Office(RO) here in April 2009 by the branch.Almost 6 months have passed, they are not sanctioning the required loan amount. Also no enough staff there to attend my case there. I tried to reach RO to know the status of my loan process, but they simply ask me to get in touch with branch, and I need not to contact them. Branch officers say that it will be done, but they dont know when it will be sanctioned as the matter is in the hands of RO.
                          I feel it was my biggest mistake to get the account transferred to other branch.I am really very tensed, my construction work is totally halted. I am not finding any way. Should I transfer my account back to the 1st branch? Please help me in this regard. Thanking you i ancticipation.

                          Union Bank of India — Housing Loan Advance

                          Dear Sir/Ma'am,

                          I have complained twice to UBI through ref no. 932248 Dated- 26/5/2011 &
                          192321 dated- 1/08/2011 respectively so for no reply has been received.

                          1. My complaint is that bank is charging 13.25% of interest instead of 12%. Which i agreed on my contract while taking advance.

                          2. An amount of ₹103805.00 had been debited into my account for no reason which seems to be irregular.

                          KINDLY INTERVENE & SOLVE THE IRREGULARITIES AS I HAVE BEEN PAYING EMI REGULARLY WITH CONSTRAINT.

                            Dear sir, last week i was visited to Union Bank with my sister, which is located at Thane (w) at mumbai. My sister have joint account with her husband with same bank, we have deposited one check amt 25000 on Tuesday, and again we visited to bank on Friday for withdrawal 10000 amt. But we were surprise to listen that still that check was on the desk of one of the employee of the bank. Actually it was mistakenly not sent for clearance last three days, when we ask them no one giving us response. After some argument we contact to Branch Manager Mr. Kare then he was one step ahead form his staff. he directly insulted us. Looking his attitude other staff also not supporting us, staff says us ' you can do what u want to do', just let me know what we can do against him. just let me know what we can do against him in banking act. we want to punish for their behavior. because i have searched on union bank website there is no complaint box, so plz assist us.

                              I am working in DMRC and have a salary a/c in khari baoli, delhi branch o[censored]BI, a/c no.[protected].On 01/08/09 at about 1230hrs i recieved a call from a number [protected] from some Mr. sabbarwal of the above said branch and said that i filled some form 8-10 days ago and forgate to sign that. i told him that i never filled any form regarding khari baoli branch after opening of account so there is no matter of sign or forgate to sign the same. but he stuck to his words and repeatedly forced me to come to the branch and sign the form.
                              Then i told him that i'll come to the branch and check my handwriting in the form and if i found any difference then i'll file complaint againt your band. then he started abusing and said that TERE KO JO KARNA HAI KARLE PAR SIGN TO TERE KO KARNE HI PADENGE.
                              the behavior of bank staff was very bad and the form they have mentioned to sign is not filled by me. some other person have filled that form, he may be any bank staff, and my bank information is leaked to that person who has filled that form. This is a very serious matter and you are requested to look into the matter and take necessary action againt the bank

After 41 days (3rd july 2009) i am calling the customer care for what progress in my complaint but not response properly and give 3rd complaint no. 31814. I am request to you please solve my problem soon.

                                  Sir,
                                  I am having a Savings Bank account with Union Bank of India, here at Lucknow's Indira Nagar branch. By my mistake I entered wrong password while using Internet Banking facility provided by bank, which resulted in blockage of my ID. Concerning the reactivation of the same ID I visited the branch for 7-8 times and also submitted my greivance online on the site of the bank and that too for 3 times.

                                  After my second grievance lodged, I received a call for the some female executive addresing from Regional Office and she requesed me to visit the branch once more and I told her that I don't want to visit the brach anymore due to misbehaviour of the staff there, but then also I visited the branch and the person authorised Named Ms/Mrs. Poonam Singh misbehaved and even refused that some written request was ever made by me and was handed over to her.

                                  After this I again lodged an online greivance telling them about the whole thing happened to him and again I got a complaint no. but couldn't get any solution for the same purpose.

                                    I would like to inform you that I am a customer o[censored]nion bank of India.
                                    Last 2nd of June 2009, I was going for a transaction through Canara Bank ATM Machine located in CCS University road meerut.

                                    I entered the amount of Rs 1000/- but the machine replied as "Transaction Declined.

                                    After 10 minutes I checked My balance amount of My account...
                                    but the amount was debited by My account...

                                    I have submitted the complaint on the Next day at both the Banks i.e. CANARA bank and Union Bank of India...

                                    Canara Bank replied that for this amount you have to complained Union Bank of India and then procceied by us.
                                    UBI is not responding me properly, I have been 5 to 6 times but no result.And today when I meet bank manager and ask him he say that he has been reminder to related bank, then I ask him the new decision of RBI that if within 12 days if money withdrawn which is related to ATM problem not deposited, then bank have to fine the related consumer 100 Rs. Per day then Manager Say that It has now Value and this type of news is coming in the newspaper. They say that they again remind related bank and you have to wait that’s all.

                                    So please Help me for this...

                                    my brother has an a/c-in your bank(UBI)branch-RANGIA(ASSAM).On 27-4-09 i had commanded for Rs.20, 000/- in the ATM of (CATHOLIC SYRIAN BANK) in MADIWALA(BANGALORE).But the transaction had been rejected & i di not received any cash.But when i check my balance i was shocked that Rs.20, 000/- had been reducted from my account& i went to both bank & they gave me customer complaint no.s but they are not receiving the calls.So please take a quick action on my problem as i have urgent piece of work, i will grateful to you.

                                    I have taten hoam loan from UBI, SDA, branch Delhi 5yrs back & all EMI's till date has been paid before due date but surprisingly bank says that around Rs 6000.00 is still overdue . Regarding this i have requested several times to bank to provide me detail in which month & year the EMI's were not paid & also why it has been intimated after 5yrs. kindly look into the matter & obl;ige.

                                    I would like to inform you that I am a customer o[censored]nion bank of India, Pallikonda Vellore District, Tamil Nadu

                                    Last 4th of July 2009, I was going for a transaction through Indian Bank ATM Machine located in Ambur, TamilNadu.

                                    I entered the amount of Rs 10000/- but the machine replied as "Transaction Declined.

                                    After 10 minutes I checked My balance amount of My account...
                                    but the amount was debited by My account...

                                    I have submitted the complaint on the Next day at both the Banks i.e. Indian bank and Union Bank of India...

                                    Indian Bank replied that for this amount you have to complained Union Bank of India.
                                    UBI is responded me and the amount was deposited to Union Bank, Pallikonda on 18th August 2009 but the amount was not deposited to my account I have been 10 to 15 times but no result.And today when I meet bank manager and ask him he say that he has been reminder to related bank, then I ask Manager Say that this type of news is coming in the newspaper. They say that they again remind related bank and you have to wait that’s all.

                                    So please Help me for this...

                                    I am here to inform you that Rs 10, 000/ has been debited from my account on 06.09.09 from Lajpat Nagar cental market ATM. I use several ATM at that particular of time. First I go to union bank ATM Central market Lajpat Nagar there I insert my card for withdrawal of Rs 10, 000/ but ATM Machine did not dispense money when I ask security guard he says ATM Machine having some problem. Then I use different bank ATM at the same location Lajpat Nagar Central Market for withdrawal of Money like Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Kodak Mahendra, Standard chartered bank, SBI Bank but I don’t get money from any ATM. Lastly I check my account balance and then I come to know Rs 10, 000/ has been debited from my account. I talk to my home branch (Dhamitola, Gaya) Union Bank Manager from him I come to know that amount has been debited from Union Bank ATM he has provided me no [protected] / 5199 / [protected]. Then I raise a complain in your Customer care Department and my service request no : 74287 dated 07.09.09 then again complain no : 94697 dated 22.09.09. I am taking follow up to your customer care department for the last one month and haven’t get any satisfactorily response. I don’t know what exactly happen with my money. I have totally lose my confidence in your bank. Kindly Help me for this.

                                      I am a consumer o[censored]nion bank of India (Union Bank of India, Branch near CMS School Sector O Aliganj Lucknow phone No.[protected]. Dated 2nd June 2009 I want to withdraw some money from cenera bank’ATM, ATM respond that transaction declined but this money debited from my account. I have given an application next day but till now there is amount is not deposited in my account. And today when I meet bank manager and ask him he say that he has been reminder to related bank, then I ask him the new decision of RBI that if within 12 days if money withdrawn which is related to ATM problem not deposited then bank have to fine the related consumer 100 Rs. Per day then he Say that It has now Value and this type of news is coming in the newspaper. They say that they again remind related bank and you have to wait that’s all. My request is that now what do I am. This is totally mentally harassment of me. Please Help Me.

                                        Hello Sir/Madam,

                                        On April 11th, 2009, I tried to withdraw an amount of Rs.15500/- from Union Bank ATM located in TATABAD, 100 feet road, Coimbatore using SBI ATM cum DEBIT card.I got a recipting saying transaction declined but the amount got debitted from my account.

                                        ATM machine ID :NC0I[protected]

                                        My ATM card no:[protected]

                                        Date & Time of Transaction:[protected]:52 (Apr 11th)

                                        I have given a complaint in SBI PBB, Koramangala and reference no. of the same is 2467593

                                        Kindly do the needful to credit the amount of Rs.15500/- back to my SBI account [protected]

                                        In your case you will have to contact the bank whose ATM you were operating, giving them the account details of the Debit card you were using. Once they find the discrepency in the cash disbursement from the ATM machine, they will refund it back to the same account.

                                        The bank should be able to trace this at the EOD settlement and the money should be back in his account. It would take sometime as Bank would need to dig out the cash totals from the ATMs and not all of the ATMs are maintained by banks.

                                        Please be also advised to keep the slips containing the error messages handy though, in case they were required.

                                        Trust this would suffice.
