Dear Sir / Madam,



This is informing to you that I am the new customer of Airtel Digital TV. My registration details are following :-

My Concern:-



I purchased this Digital TV from Gera Electronics Gurgaon on[protected] with 3 months mega pack plus free installation of Rs 2000/- (Bill no. 9992) that’s why I purchase one card of Rs 1750/- of serial no. Serial no:- [protected] & a voucher of Rs 250/- Voucher no:- [protected] as dealer told me. Then I get installation of[protected]. And after two days of installation on[protected] I received a massage from TA-DTH that Dear customer your account balance is in negative. Please recharge. I was not able to understand the same. I checked this on the net & found that my account balance is Rs -500/- I do not know that what was it? I call Customer care executive on[protected] to know the same & executive told me that wrong package has been selected from our side & this package which you purchased is withdrawn by Airtel. I requested to the executive to change it immediately. He has raise a request for the same (Request no:- 836583) & give me the assurance that this problem will get resolved with in two days. & I got a massage from TA-DTH that this problem is resolved on[protected] but in actual this problem was not resolve. Again I call to customer care executive on[protected] although the redress of complaint time of Airtel is 48 hrs but they said this problem will get resolved on 16-07-09. I received I call from airtel that your services will not continue from tomorrow due to your account is in negative balance on the same day. On[protected] again I received a massage from TA-DTH that your services are due for suspension tonight. Please recharge. Again I call customer care executive & tell her full concern she given me a new request no 848009 & told me that please recharge Rs 100/- immediately. And when in evening I talk again they said that you will get resolvation of problem till[protected] & your services will not stop. but today my serveces has been disconnected.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Wrong billing, poor service leading to Suspension!

Details of transactions:
1. Customer ID: [protected]
2. Installed on 25.06.09 with South valve pack Rs 1750/-
3. On 26.06.09 through prepaid vouchers deposited another Rs 850
4. Kept receiving on my registered mobile & STB that I have negative balance & I should recharge immediately! (Although STB showed NO DATA in my account)
5. Help line [protected] when contacted after good many attempts reaffirmed that there is sufficient balance and I should ignore the messages.
6. When I enquired about adding some packages, he offered me New South Mega package with 6 months free subscription @ Rs 2600 approx. He also said they would deduct some Rs 20-30 for 2 days of earlier package usage. I asked him to change the package accordingly.
7. Since I continued getting negative balance messages, I recharged another Rs 1000 on 30.6.09. Here is the official extract from Airtel website.

8. STB continued showing NO DATA & messages of negative balance kept pouring despite everyday calls to helpline!
9. They finally acknowledged my complaint with ref no. 812518 “wrong balance deducted” on 3.7.09.
10. Today i.e. 6.7.09 after all these interactions they have finally SUSPENDED the services!
Again when helpline was contacted, “wait till 9th when we will address your complaint” remains the stock answer!

Now you are the judge of their services – Hopeless, Worst or Atrocious?

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — suspension of my services

Dear Sir

After complaining at this forum and after much struggle my Airtel DTH was finally reinstalled today at my premise [C-125, Third Floor, Pandav Nagar, New Delhi - 110092] but this time they have suspended my viewership indefinitely. I cannot access any channels except their helpline channel number 100. Recently I called up their customer care for fourth time but there was no satisfactory response from their side. The executive said that there was some technical issue but how come I could access their helpline channel no 100 and no other channels if there was really a technical issue. They have given me complaint number 4852916 for the issue but says that the issue would be resolved on 22nd December by 3.30pm.

I have become a frustrated subscriber of the Airtel DTH. I would never suggest anyone to go for their service.

    Respected sir,
    I activated Airtel's unlimited internet plan by payin 800/ month rental on 15th of july. I was earlierly using 99/ month plan in which i was getting monthly 50 mb free for surfing and downloading. After being setisfied with their speed i called customer care to shift me on monthly unlimited plan for which they gave me *567# no on which i cann call & activated the service. I activated the service the same way & after 2 days i.e. on 17th july, i found that my un billed amount shoot up by whooping 2000rs. Seeing that i called up customer care personnel than they are informing me that u cannot activate unlimited plan before deactivating 99rs/month plan and so my unlimited plan has not been activated & i have been charged for all the downloads on the based of some 20paise/50 kb. Please help as i have confirmation from their side that they activated my service.They are not willing to deduct the extra charge levyed on me.

      I had been using airtel prepaid for 2 years.but from the last 2 months i received the message like
      "Thank you for subscribing to Spicy jokes pack. your have been charged rs 30 for 31 days. To unsubscribe Dial[protected]Toll free)"
      without my subscription my balance was deducted 30 rs for every month. Similarly my balance was reduced by different subscription. Eventhough I unsubscribed by[protected] number, still deduction was continuing.Now I changed my service provider. Please Beware of this balance theft

      I had been using airtel prepaid for 1 years.but from the last 1 months i received the message like

      without my subscription my balance was deducted 10 rs for every 10 days. Even though I unsubscribed by[protected] number, still deduction was continuing.please do the need correction or i will change my service.
      i had been using airtel for last 2years, last few mounth i could not talk with cc executive i want to talk with tham fof mobil offis service

        Being the appellate authority of AIRTEL, I request you to kindly look into the matter and contact me in case of any clarification.

        I am hereby attaching my e-mail request for compensation for your ready reference and needful action.

        Meenakshi has listened to the various conversations between your tele callers and me and also has details of the number of calls made inspite of mentioning being admitted in hospital.

        Please look into the matter at top most priority and revert back.

        Thank you for the response.

        I would like to highlight the following :

        1. You cannot and have no authority to call a user at 7.00 am for any reason or for following up payment, though in this case was already paid. Any correspondence or communication could have been acceptable during working hours. The calls in the wee hours are only means of harassment by your collection department for defaulters.
        2. In-spite of informing that the user is hospitalized in Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai for treatment on serious illness and would not like to be disturbed, your call centre executive cannot be ignorant to call more than 20 times after that on the same day and cause agony to a person already going hardship due to health.
        3. The disturbance did not stop with just one day and continued till escalation of the issue on return, in-spite of informing that payment is made in cash on the 16th of June at the BEL outlet. What more information can one expect and give over phone ???
        4. The rules and regulations of the hospital do not permit use of cell phones unless required for emergency reasons.
        5. Hospitalisation in Breach Candy is not easy in normal circumstances and needs influence and substantial reason of critical illness. Appointments with Dr. Farokh Udwadia, the consulting doctor is not available before 2 months even in critical circumstances.
        6. It is unreasonable at your end as a corporate to commit crime and then make apology for the same. This would probably be acceptable in case of normal conditions, but in-spite of informing critical situation, the seriousness was not understood. And therefore we see no reason to forego the cause without proper compensation for the agony caused.

        In view of the above, we would like to claim damages and request you to kindly request the concerned to get in touch to discuss on the same.

        We regret to inform you that in-spite of having paid more than the outstanding amount, we are being harassed by your executives following up for payment from the number[protected],[protected],[protected].

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I am Hiral and staying in Kalpana Villa, Viman Nagar, Pune.

          In our Area Feasible Connection is 30.

          One week before i have tried to check if in my building AirTel Connection is available or not. and in response to it i got a call that one connection is available.

          The marketing person is Manish Verma - [protected], i asked many times that is it feasible connection? cause i need it in urgent basis tell me frankly... if it is not then also tell me so that i can try with other providers. always his answer was YES mam connection is available.

          On date 13th July, i filled up the form with all formalities and said that mam you will get connection on 14th July. I paid 1000 By cheque with all formalities.

          14th july till end of the day after calling so many times yuvraj who is site engineer who calls me and told me that, your bunglow is not to give feasible connection. After so many conversation he got agree that, my junior person got wrong idea - Who came for cheking purose, conclusion was my bunglow is in feasible area and i can connect to it.

          15th July, Engineer came and said that their Device is near to Bunglow No 2(hence out side of bunglow or compund) and for some reason they cant provide direct connection, they make a plan how to give wire to my bunglow and then told us that they need more wire. person go to take wire and will come tomorrow for connection.

          16th July, Yuvraj said that... Mam Bunglow no 2 peson creates a problem for connection, so we will connect after 6.30, as they close the office and after that they will connect it. till 10p.m. no body came. when i try to call Manish Verma-Marketing person, he sent a sms that talk to his Boss. Chetan Saveria ([protected]) regarding this issue. We had a talk and said that tomorrow he will go personally there and will check the status.

          17th July, Chetan told me that because Banglow no 2 person is not wanting to have any work with that device, chetan is not able to give connection.

          Let me tell you who is that Bunglow no 2 person.

          He is having 2 connection of AirTel, and wanting 1 more connection. and searching for that. he came to know that 1 more connection is available and its on our hand... Which is approved. he is creating a problem for us. He may have given money to all above people to not to give connection after all these process. I am guessing all these as things are going on. because AirTel device is out side of his bunglow and this is not his own property. If AirTel is helping out to such kind of person then its really shame on AirTel.

          After wasting all these days who will pay to us for days we have wasted for waiting and lisetning all stupid things????

          If you can give atleast anser to this... i will hates of you... condition is answer should be positive... i am not a person to hear sorry... I really want to escalate this issue.

            Sir, i didn't subscribed bollywood fusion animation service on airtel but it was automatically subscribed on my airtel wap service and 10 rs deducted from my balance. And I am being deducted 15 Rs. per week for this service. I want to unsubscribe this service. Please help me to unsubscribe this service on airtel.

              SMTP Port 25 is getting blocked by Airtel!

              Hi All,

              Today on 17 July 2009, airtel broadband service provider is blocking the SMTP ( Port 25 ) for sending email thorugh web browsers.

              Kindly check, if you face this issue then you should raise complaint regarding this to Airtel.

              For non technical users SMTP Port 25 is the default port for sending email from Outlook or other applications.

              We are disturbed to note that the response of Mr Kunal Jindal of Airtel - [protected] against our complaint of signal dropping 80% of calls, is extremely poor. The boss seems to be out of reach of Ms Prachi and Ms Tejeswani. I do not understand why suc persons have been employed in your company. They are not ready to share the contact no of the person responsible for Pune. We would like to terminate all connections if ths continues.

              We have been calling Mr Jindal to our office in Chinchwad but it seems that every time he is busy in reviews.

              Airtel Connectivity — NO network Connectivity at all

              I stay in Sembakkam, Chennai and I am a subscriber of Airtel service provider for the last 7 years. I have moved into this area couple of years back. The Airtel network is horrible in my area and I have placed lot of complaints but no response. If Airtel connectivity is not going to be improved in next 2 months (I hope that due action would be taken in 2 months) then I have no other choice other than to move out of Airtel.

                iam using airtel postpaid [protected] connection since dec 2007, initially i have enrolled for an yearly rental for 1299 and activated SMS 45 pack ( sms will be charged 10 paise) as i use around 600-800 messages in a month..in apr 09 i got bill of Rs 2847 saying that i have to pay one time charges of Rs1498 against my one year rental, when i called the cust care..they said 1299 plan has been upgraded to 1499.. so i paid the amount..then i came to know that SMS pack was deactivated and they charged me Re 1 per sms.. when i contacted cuscare..they said they wud reimburse the money which they charged foe sms during that period and gave me waiver of rs 850.. as they accepted that it was their fault ot informing the customer regarding the upgradation to 1499 plan where SMS 45 pack was not applicable... Now i want to migrate to plan whereever SMS 45 pack is applicable..but they say i must forego Rs1499 which i paid in may 09, which is absloutely ridiculous because i have not used their services iam asking for money back.. they say its not their fault and cannot give me my money... they dont have proof saying they have informed the customers that SMS pack wud be deactivated, neither they updated about 1499 plan on net..which still shows 1299 only.. i have been following it up with airtel guys by all means since may 09..but in vain they give a stereotypical answer and at one stage the offered me a waiver of 300 for which i did not agree... pls suggest the solution..i wuld also like to go for court in the intrest of public pls guide me..

                  I want to complaint that two executives from Appco (DSA) of Airtel company came at my residence during their door to door campaign and sold me two AIRTEL sim cards and took two cheques of RS. 500/- each. They provided me the sim cards, one without number and one writing the no. on pack as
                  [protected] which they took on calling one of their telephonic conversation with person in their office.

                  But the period of about 2months have passed I haven't yet received the no. for the second sim card and neither the sim card with no. as mentioned above is not even activated.

                  Please let me know what to do next. One of the executives name was Mr. Ravichandran who stays at Thane according to him.

                    m unable to make isd calls from 48 hrs, i ve complaint n they say we need more time, this not the first time.moreover call center executive are showing attitude, they have no knowledge and dey misbehave.

                    It didnt work for me when i was in florida for 10 days. so i resolved it on my own by recharging for extra 100 rs because you need to have a minimum balance of 99 rs before you could make any call. next if go to settings and carrier and connect to a different provider, mine was set to automatic and was connected to AT& T so i changed to T-mobile and it worked :) if you rely on customer service they would take ages to reply

                      Postpaid Connection — registration for payment through e-banking

Intialy i hv bn usng a handset of Nokia 6300 & downloaded mchek detail using that handset. Recently i hv changed my handset & whn i tried to download the m-chek detls to my new handset, i am always getting msg saying my new set does not support m-chek on airtel. Whn I tried with another set whc support m-chek, but not able to register my cr.card detils as am getting msg saying tht card is alrdy used by another hand set (my original one 6300). Subseqently i registered another card detils in another set with my second airtel number ([protected]) & tried to pay my [protected] postpaid payment am getting msg saying payments cannot be made thru that cr.card on the contrary I was able to re-charge my pre-paid number on same m-chek with same cr.card details.

                      When I tried to make the payment as on-line payment (Internet) there also payment is directed thru M-check.

                      Really I fed up & Now I feel it is your responsibility to make the m-chek system customer friendly. for the last 10 days I hv been unsucefully trying with all yr payment option & pl adv me how is it possible for to make payments sitting in my office rather than depending on dropping cheques at yr kiosks or be at the queue for making payment. Am really at loss as nobody is there to gv any adv.

                        Inspite of repeated complaint the airtel authority have not bothered with this. I hve been billed & I've been getting repeated collection calls considering the fact that the dispute is yet to be settled & is appellate office.The collection department is not in coordination with other details of the a/c
                        This is in reference to interaction # 79486169. The bill for a/c # 14401601 for the month of may'09 is INR 6, 892.00, which I as a customer am disputing since I was out of station for 20 days and there has been no usage of broadband/ internet. As I have unlimited access to internet from my workplace, Why would i bill myself with such a huge amount. Further, I would also request you to see my last 6 months' usage and see the my highest usage so far has been 890/- & suddenly the bill comes to such a high amount especially when there has been no usage for the month.

                        I had lodged compliant with the customer service to look in to the matter. However, i regret to say that the customer service was absolutely of no use and they insist the usage has been from my end. I have time & again tried to explain that this is not the case, further I have not yet received any bill for this and have sent in request for the bill but of no effect. You need to look into the matter as the complete billing is wrong & needs to be investigated so that no further discomfort is caused to any customer. Needless to say the customer service is of absolutely no use and the customer is at loss when there is some serious problem










                        This is in regards to the mail below, looks like I'shall have to take it up with higher authorities, I have no idea as to how & what kind of investigation was undertaken, as I was not informed regarding any of it & me being the customer, I have the right to know how is it that you determine my usage & billing.                         This is Manisha Gola. I am the customer, who was using the Airtel Broadband service from the month of May, 2009. I have the plan of Rs. 649/- in which I have 100 calls free on landline and Unlimited downloading. But after one month I have dropped a complaint to disconnect my plan. But I didn’t get any response from your side. Although they had changed my plan Rs 649 to Rs 250 without my concern.

                        After 2 month I got a Broadband bill of Rs. 8, 877 which was unbelievable amount to pay. So I called them around the end of July regarding disconnecting the Broadband and I have recently submitted the application of disconnect my Airtel Broadband service due to this expended bill. But didn’t get any response from your desk. I was unhappy, but so fed up of arguing with someone who couldn't understand me properly that I resigned myself to defeat.

                        Now please tell me how can come my broadband bill in this manner. Please sort out this issue and let me know how can it happens. Show me the full detail o[censored]sing this broadband service. When I take this connection that time your client told me about the plan of Rs. 649/- with 100 Local calls free by the landline. Your customer care executive told me that my Complaints and queries relating to billing issues will be resolved within 48 hours but till now I found nothing. I told them to disconnect my broadband service but they did not do anything…

                        I am giving you a warning that if you will not do anything regarding my extending broadband bill then I will get help to Consumer court to take action against you. If you want to rid of this problem then suggest me what I have to do to solve this issue and suggest me a proper way to rid of this.

                        AirTel — Broadband billing dispute

                        Hello,
                        My account number is 15054008. On July 8th I walked into Shastri Nagar Airtel Office to change my broadband plan from Rs. 250 to Rs. 649. The concerned lady (Employee name available) was not on duty. The concerned staff asked me to go to 198 in the office and make a plan change. I duly made the plan change at 11.40 am and it was confirmed by the Airtel employees by phone. On August 12th I had gone to the same office to enquire if my plan change was effected or not. I was told by the concerned employee that I would have to give a written plan change again to her for the records and that I would also get a credit for the previous month (July 26- August 26th). When I got the bill for July 26- August 26th I saw I have been charged according to the 250 plan and I got a bill of Rs. 2940.62. I raised a complaint on September 1st 2011 for which I was told that I would get a response by September 2nd 15:32. No response was received. I got talking to Customer Care and they told me that there is no plan change as of July 8th and I would have to pay the FULL amount. After this I filed an email to the Nodal Office on September 12th in which I was told I would have a response within 72 hours. So far no response has been obtained. The last day for the payment is September 19. I have no objections to making a payment however I will not pay the FULL amount as this is nothing but a mistake on their part.

                        The opted plan was Rs. 899/- in which, i had paid Rs. 5420 as an advance payment for 6 months to avail 15% discount. The details are enclosed.

                        Now being the last bill, stating that i have to pay Rs. 591.31 to settle this month bill, whereas from my side nothing to pay.

                          I am using a no. [protected] with a plan AIRTEL DATA CARD 99 GPRS PLAN
                          WITHOUT VOICE from last june 2008. Since than I have not faced any
                          problem in any billing problem, as it is clearly mentioned in my plan 99
                          GPRS. I have take this corporate connection for GPRS purpose & it was told
                          me that you have to pay per month 99 + tax thats all.

                          I have gone through the bill in which lot o[censored]nnecessary charges are added
                          which I have not used. You are requested to correct my bill as per the
                          scheme AIRTEL DATA CARD 99 GPRS PLAN WITHOUT VOICE.

                          I talk to 121 more than 50 times but nobody solve my problem. Than I went to
                          your service outlet at shahdara, they told me that only 121 can help me
                          out, but 121 is not helping me this matter.Complaint no. 22112744

                          Than I have talk to 7070 & they confirmed me that as per my plan my
                          maximum bill can't exceed 99 + tax per month. The voice recording is

                                My Airtel prepaid Customer No: [protected] .I am using the same number for the past few years.

                                For the last 1 year I am regularly using the 79 offer (ISD offer) & I am getting the benefits as been found the offer regularly send by airtel to us.
                                Also all the near 5 members of our family are using the airtel connection & found happy with the offers. But last month I had a complaint with this number & for the past 15 days I am complaining your customer Care. Daily they are giving promises; like surely by 5pm your fault will be solved, 2 working days & 10 am etc.
                                I found those calls in vain, as they might have afraid responding to recorded calls.
                                They are saying mere excuses.

                                My complaint was that; On 30 th June 2009; by 10.58 am I recharged with 79rs. I got the message as Recharge successful. Transaction Id:[protected].

                                But we are not able to get any benefits of the offer. As call charges are high as regular call rate

                                On july 2nd I talked with CC executive .Your ref: [protected]
                                On july 3rd I contacted CC executive .Your ref: [protected]
                                On july 8th again I contacted with CC executive .Your ref: [protected]
                                On july 10th Your ref: [protected]
                                On july 13th & finally I talked with CC executive .Your ref: [protected]


                                They said we might have gone for anyother call reducing offers.Thats not true.

                                As with ISD call rate reducing scheme of 79rs, local mobile airtel calls are reduced.
                                so we wont go for anyother call; reducing schemes.


                                Please find a solution, being a regular customer of yours.
                                Also we lost nearly half a moth. of the offer period.
                                So we request you to make the activation done by the nearest day & we should attain 1 month from that day, otherwise there is no use in contacting this much times.

                                We believe that you will check into this matter seriously & make necessary steps to solve this problem.

                                Myself Anupam from kolkata holding airtel prepaid no. +91 [protected]. Few days back I got a call from customer care regarding subscription of baba ramdev pack. I have'nt given any permission still it has been activated when I complained regarding the same it has been deactivated immediately i got my deducted money but again after few hours it has been activated and amount has been activated I don't understand why the hell it has been activated .
                                I am sorry to say that you people are litterely your customer by providing this kind of stupid services.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  I am using Airtel Life time Prepaid service from more than one Year (April-08). My mobile no. is [protected]. From last 1 week, all services of this no. were stopped without any reason & intimation. I have called 121 as well as 999. They are saying no data available with them & number is deleted. Every month my usage is more than Rs. 200. So reason of min. use is not applicable to me. I am totally frustrated. Please help me out.

                                  prepaid mobile number — Services stopped

                                  i have purchesed a Airtel mobile number [protected] from the Company Dated 05/12/2009 & i have already expend Rs 1000 in this number,But they stoped my services.Company said that i am not submitted my Documents but i have already submitted my documents in Airtel office also, But as on till date my number services are stopped.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    We are one of your valued customer using AIRTEL mobiles & PRI System.We had another series of airtel connections which we opted for disconnection except one number which we wanted to be in individual name.The number is [protected].

                                    We have completed all the formalities required for change of name of this number.However from 2nd July you department has disconnected all the numbers starting from [protected] to [protected] without giving importance of the mail forwared and also the hard copy of the letter given to them.

                                    we never wanted the disconnection of [protected].

                                    We called up 121 and went to your counter at Adhchini to but we did not get any positive response from you.Every time they ask us to mail for the same and we get an auto reply.How long should we wait for getting the things corrected which was never requested from you.

                                    Please let us know whom should we approach for this and we also want a reply from you why this phone was disconnected when we have been paying for your service.why we are barred from the service.
