      I am Nilesh Lagad. I purchased New Sim Card of Airtel on 16.12.2008 at 10.30 pm at m nearest retailer i.e in Moshi, Pune that card is in the Mobile Campus Plan on that Starter Pack they clearly mention the Name of Plan in bold i.e Mobile Campus Plan Tariff rates are as below:
      From 7.00am to 11.00pm From 11.00pm to 7.00 am
      (weekend Also)
      A2A /Other 1.00 Rs / min 50.00ps/min
      sms Charges 20ps/ams 10ps/ sms

      The card activated on 24.12.08 at 5.00 pm afer activation I send the message of no. change at night after 11 pm i charged as 25 paise/sms and also make the call after 11 pm it will be charged as 50.00paise/min resp. to aforesaid plan but they charge 1.00rs/min.
      On the next morning i call on 121 i.e. airtel customer care no. afetr hearing from them i shocked they are saying your not in Mobile Campus pack your in Friendz plan so they make that charges I told them i am not subscriber of that plan so why you activated this plan on this they say you taken friendz plan then i reply on my starter pack you mentioned as campus plan on that they say go to the retailer retailer also not responding well he replies as I don't know.
      This clearly frode case on starter pack they mention Campus plan and active the other plan and says the fault of customer.

        i want un limitted use of gprs in jamshedpur and in india

        SUB:- Mobile connection not activated

        I am using a prepaid Airtel connection (Jamshedpur) more than 2 months. My SIM no is 9006******. I have brought the SIM 2 months ago from a renowned retailer of Jamshedpur. I have given actual proofs for the same during the time of purchase.
        I got a alert SMS on 28th April that your connection will be deactivated due to your address is can’t be verified. Before this SMS I never receive any kind of address enquiry call.
        And connection is disconnected on 1st May 2010. Then I went to Airtel office at Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur to submit my identification proof again. I met there Mr. Manoranjan I think he is office incharge his phone no is [protected]. He promised me that my phone will be activated within 24 hrs which is not done yet.
        I have been calling to Mr. Manoranjan and 121 but I m not getting proper answer both of them saying it will activated morning, evening, today, tomorrow.
        But phone is not activated yet.
        Kindly do the needful or intimate me where I should complain next??

              This is the copy of the complaint letter i had forwarded to bharti airtel authorities but they have not resolved the matter till now.

              Sub:Harassment of a consumer by the company (Bharti Airtel Ltd).
              Respected Sir,
              I, Syed Taqi Akbar, resident of Lucknow, had subscribed to your Broadband service on 17th November 2008.In the subscription form I had chosen the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan.After that I received a confirmatory call from your side, informing me that I have chosen the 499 combo plan.Immediately, I objected to it and informed your executive that I have chosen the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan.I asked the executive of the confirmatory call to rectify the mistake made by your company immediately.The executive took my complaint and gave me a complaint number.I even told the executive that either rectify your mistake and give me the plan which I had chosen or disconnect the service.I made numerous complaints everyday and the details of the complaints are as follows:

              Please note that in all my complaints I had clearly mentioned that I had selected Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan and not 499 combo plan.I asked the executives to rectify the mistake immediately or disconnect the service.
              But to my utter disbelief, I received a bill of Rs.9000 under the 499 combo plan.I will be unable to pay this bill.Also, keep in mind, that the mistake was clearly from your side.And inspite of repeated complaints the company did’nt rectify the mistake.
              I would like to mention some important facts which highlight the negligence of your company “Bharti Airtel Limited” and also exposes the pathetic treatment you give to your customers.
               I had selected the Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps plan in the presence of your Sales Officer, Mr.Anand Kumar Shukla.(Cell no-[protected]).
               When I received the confirmatory call informing me of the 499 combo plan, I immediately asked them to rectify the mistake.What is the use of the confirmatory call if your company imposes the plan of your choice on the consumer?
               When your hardware engineer, Mr.Fahad (Cell no-[protected]) came for installation, he showed me the form in which the plan selected was ‘Unlimited 1499 512 Kbps’. Then how can your company change the plan to 499 combo plan? Is it to harass the consumer?
               As mentioned earlier, I made numerous complaints but what was the effect?Instead of rectifying the mistake, your company imposed a bill of Rs.9000 under the plan that I had not selected.This is a case of clear harassment of the consumer by your company.
              Please note that I have been subjected to intense harassment and have decided to approach the Consumer Forum if the matter is not resolved by your company within 48 hours.

                I CALLED TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE CENTER TWENTY TIMES, THEY ASK TO CONTACT DEALERSHOP, IF I CALL TO DEALER HE ASK ME TO CONTACT AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE OFFICE. SO BOTH BLAME EACH OTHER AND PLAY GAMES WITH ME AND TOTALLY IRRITATING AND WASTE MY PRECIOUS TIME. MINE NO. IS [protected]. pls anybody give idea where and whom i have contact finally for justice. so my sugesstion to all is dont buy airtel simcard in bangalore as staffs are too lassy, jokers and innocent in attend the customer problem.

                Airtel — useless service activation

                Always unnecessary services are activated on my no [protected] without my permission and i am charged for them.
                And now talking to a customer executive is also chargeable, whenever i call customer care, i have always been kept on hold for long time.
                Like this airtel is making money and looting its customers.

                  I paid Rs 40/- for booster pack recharge to a dealer called Mehta fancy Stores at Ambattur Chennai-600053. I received message from Airtel that your recharge is not successfull. Trans id no. is[protected]. dated[protected].
                  I asked the dealer to pay back my money. He spoke to Airtel and told me
                  your booster pack is charged. Airtel is charging Rs 1/- per call instead of
                  Rs 0.5/- I am asking Airtel to take action on Mehta.

                    I took airtel broadband plan and there was some bill due because I left the place and I paid the bill and requested to disconnect and they said they will disconnect that and now I am getting calls from their customer care that My bill amount is due and Now I am now not putting up at that Place and already requested to disconnect 5 months back.Their so called retrieval experts start calling with out knowing any thing....

                        Hi,

                        I m having one Airtel Prepaid connection. +[protected] my main motto to buy this is only for “Mobile Office”. But on last Friday 19th Dec’08 around 22:30 on same day my Bal is around 60/- I have act “MO” by *567# and it’s activate. I have received Sms for the same & my 15/- will be debited from my Prepaid A/C. But while connect with my Laptop it shows Error “Packet Data Not Available”. Then I made call to 121 around 22:45 & the agent guide me manual settings for my phone & it’s done Thanks. Also I need setting for my Laptop, and then he was told me for this u need to call 12140. I made call to 12140 around 23:10 but I m not get connected with the same, and the IVR says Write AIRTEL & send it to 121. After this again I made call to 121 to know about what is this going on why I am not get connected with 12140 but also I am not get connected to 121 also & same the IVR says Write AIRTEL & send it to 121.

                        Around 23:30 I made 121 from my postpaid connection for Laptop settings & the postpaid agent inform me that you need to made call on 12140 from prepaid card only then & then only you get proper information about the same. Can you transfer my call to Prepaid dept. Agent says No.

                        So, that is not possible for my prepaid because when I made 121 or 12140 the same thing I heard Write AIRTEL & send it to 121.

                        On 20th Dec’08. I visit Bharti house Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. Around 18:05 At Bharti house when I entered the last token no was displayed on board was 203 & my token no is 211 waiting more then 45 min. then I meet Mr.Sandeep I ask him about my 121 services why I am unable to call 121 or 12140 Customer care? What Mr.Sandeep replies me that you have dialed more then 30 times to 121? And that is reason your 121 services are bard. Is it so!! If I dial more then 30 times to 121 then my CC services are bard??

                        Then please let me know how many times & when I made call to CC!!
                        Mr.Sandeep: how many time you have dial 121 that detail will be not update in our system.
                        Is it so!! I know I haven’t made more then 7 times, Also need to know when I bought the Airtel Prepaid card there is on CAF need to fill up by Customer that also I have filled up in that CAF. I want to know have you mention in CAF if I made more then 30 times to 121 then my 121 services are bard??

                        I ask him then what you are setting hear & what you doing hear???

                        I walk away form there because it all waste of time and no use to setting in front of this kind of Airtel Officer.
                        I am surprise about No Good Evening, No Thank You & No Good buy……..

                        After a week on 27th Dec’08 when I Check my prepaid balance it shows 0.00/- how?? & also I am not able to make call on 121 or 12140.

                        So kindly explain me some quarry which I have.

                        • How many times I made call on 121 or 12140 from I bought the new prepaid???
                        • Is there any line in CAF if customer calls up to customer care more then 30 times the services are bard??
                        • If yes then show that line where is it & on which page??
                        • If no then why my customer care 121 or 12140 services are bard??
                        • As Postpaid CC informed on 19th Dec’08. you need to make call from only & only Prepaid card then you get settings for your Laptop, just tell me at night 23:30 where I have to go & what he is going to tell does he think twice before he speck!!!

                          I was told by Maharashtra customer care service of airtel to apply on line for deactivation of the post paid connection but application form is not available on their web site. Kindly advise.

                          AirTel — Deactivation of Postpaid connection

                          I have been a prepaid customer for over 5 years. Recently, in the month of November 2010 i received a call from Airtel for change from Prepaid to Postpaid plan under a scheme by retaining the same number. I had submitted all the required documents for the new connection.

                          A few days later (5-6 days later), Ms.Prabha (Airtel employee), who was co-ordinating with me for the new connection had called me and wanted me to send the scanned copy of my driving licence. I had sent here the mail immidiately. Again, a few days later she had called me and requested to resend the mail as she had deleted/lost my mail. I had sent the mail once again.

                          She had not submitted my documents to the Head office and my line had been disconnected on 23 December 2010. I had tried reaching Ms. Prabha by here contact number about 30-40 times, but she had not picked my call. I had also spoken with 6 different Airtel employees (Call centre) and also visited the Airtel Showrom, but no one was able to provide me with my connection.

                          I am a Chartered Accountant, and due to the loss in connectivity i had to face lot of difficulties.

                          I hereby request you to provide justice by providing my excess balance in postpaid account and also compensate me for the fault of the Airtel employee and the uncalled disconnection of my number.

                              Airtel is misusing the telecom facilities and sending unwanted service messages without registering for it. I am receiving messages from 54321 daily esp. love messages without ever subscribing to it and on top of that Rupee 1 is being deducted from my account without my knowledge. I called their automated service number and Rs 10 got deducted from my account for 2 minutes o[censored]seless menu facility I received from thier automated message. Today I have subscribed to DND. Need to wait and watch whether that will work. Its high time that service provides esp. Airtel are taken to court and their illegal and irresponsible services are brought out open in public. Everyone I have heard from says that Airtel does bogus charging on customers for their services.
                              Same problem here. These messages sometimes come when I'm expecting an important message. Upon opening them, I'm urged to download pictures of nude girls, etc. etc. I've already registered myself on the DND list but this apparently does not stop these vulgar ads. Thank God I'm not a susceptible kid! Need help on stopping these unsolicited ads.
                              Airtel requires some sort of legal action like PIL.Without subscribing they deduct money and send messages which results dispute between husband and wife. It is an open secret that Airtel makes alot of bogus charges to customers without their knowledge.
                              I did try to stop this service by sending sms on *121# and pressing 5. It did give message "done". I was relieved that I got rid of this nuisance. But lo ! it starts again.
                              10 messages/day and 2 calls/day.

                              I have applied for mobile poratbility . But from airtel customer sevice there was a call telling that there is some technical problem thats why it will take som time for MNP .And this problem is with other network operator also But it has been a trend now by airtel to not allow their customer to go any other service. They are not able to stop the customer .because as of now lakhs of people are going to other networks because of their third calss service as of they are activating any of the service on their own and earing a lot.

                              This is to inform you that if with in 7 days if the mnp is done from airtel then i have to go to consumer court harasing customers mentally . as they have deducted s lot of money from my mobile without my permision by activating model wap games etc as i have never use this type of service in my mobile .And the compensation amount i will mention in the next letter .And the consumer complaints you can see see on google just typing AIRTEL THID CLASS SERVICE .You can see it how they are deducting the money with out customer information by activating any service and also not refunding that amount

                              Dut to the third class service provided by airtel I have just appied for number portability.Instead of repeatedly telling your customer care about balance deduction from last three months there is no action taken . and balance deduction is continously done by airtel in the name of games, model wap and all that type of stuff. And the response from your customer care is that you have clicked on the link and thats why your balance has been deducted. and we will not give th refund.

                              Ok but as soon as i have registered for MNP There is a call from your customer that they are ready to give refund.and after giving refund the same procedure is repeated.And the people which u have appointed as a customer care behaves like they are superiorand disconnects the phone.they doesnt care whether the customer will go or not.

                              After applying MNP .Now as time of 7 days is coming near, As per their norms of third class service airtel is trying to deduct the balance from the mobile and making the balance in minus so they can stop from MNP.As i have written a lot about airte in net, in airtel third class service sight and to consumer court also .But the process is not stopped .

                              Hi,

                              I am using [protected] since last 3 years. recently I had requested to block all my VAS including Airtel Live, GPRS and other every single VAS.

                              I had called for this first on 19th May to place this request and reverse the charges for the same. I have done followup call on 24th May, 7 June, 9th June, 26th June. I spoke to executives named Kavita which reversed my charges lavied against these services but not the taxes.

                              Even after repeated requests, i am receiving messages from 54321 saysing "your xxxxx subscription has been renewed and you have been charged for Rs. 5". I spoke Sagar Sawant in mid of June to get this service blocked and do the reversal of charges. I was assure by him that such messages would be stopped but it seems Airtel is not bothered to honor such request even after repetative requests and spending rather wasting so much of time an energy.

                              This is simply rediculous. I was suggested to wait till my bill gets generated and place a request to reverse these charges. this is simply taking a toll on me.

                              only i was getting some pathetic answers and not the resolution.

                              hence, hope some respective/responsible authority would look into this issue religiously.

                              Please stop sending me useless service messages to my Airtel number (i.e. [protected])... These messages are too irritating like, "Rajnikanth jokes", "summer Health tip", "Indian express news", "Bengal quiz" and some other ones.

                              I like the Airtel network very much. I want to convey the idea that I want neither those services nor those service messages on my phone. I'm hereby requesting, just stop sending me those stupid service messages with useless offers.

                                Hello,

                                I wanted to have a boradband connection for personl use at Malviya Nagar. On airtel website one plan is mentioned of 649/- . It includes 100 calls free per month. Spped is 256. When I asked airtel executive he said this plan is not for south delhi. They have similar plan which is 799/-. Speed is same (256 kbps) but free calls is not available per month. So I need to pay 150/- extra and also no free calls per month. Is it leagel where company has general plan but do not give in specific location within a circle. I asked this to their call center but he says server does not support this plan in south delhi. Then I asked their manager he says this is company policy and website has wrong information. I asked why they do not remove wrong information from website. he says this will be removed but will take time. About time limit they do not know.

                                Please help me in getting 649 plan in Malviya nagar.

                                Its very stupid on the part of Airtel to discriminate in charging more for the same plan in south Delhi.
                                On enquiring the (unofficial) answer I got from one company official for this was that they are doing it because the company thinks that South Delhi residents have higher capacity to pay, so they are making them pay more.
                                This one act on the part of the company is going to ruine their goodwill.Airtel is taking its loyal customers in south delhi for granted.Many people in South Delhi are not aware of this fact but its just a matterof time when this spreads.
                                Whenever I get some suitable alternative I am going to get rid of Airtel from my house.

                                The resentment for this discrimation is spreading across South Delhi.

                                I know lots of Airtel subscribers in South Delhi who are fealing cheated because they have to shell out Rs.250/-p.m. extra as compared to rest of Delhi for the same internet services.

                                Lets hope that Airtel officials wake up fast to set the things right before further damage to their goodwill takes place.

                                I have tried to contact Airtel on 121 & 198 to lodge a complaint to resolve "Low or no connectivity" on my broadband connection @41651799 a couple of times yesterday. I got the stock recorded message"All lines on this route(Custome Care Executive) are busy. Please try later"
