Sub: Complaint for Serious Deduction from Prepaid No [protected]

Dear Sir,

I am an Airtel Subscriber Mob no. [protected] Airtel Prepaid. I did an easy recharge of full talktime of Rs 444/- on 11-01-09. But next day I got 2 same msg for Hellow Tune activation that I have not desired and around 60/- got deducted instantly. Next day again it charged 60/-, the same day I demanded to clarify for the deduction amount that charged twice for same subscription. One Airtel Executive (named Amman Kapoor, though no such person is there that other CS Executive told later) were not able to provide the clarification and unwanted argument arose after that the whole prepaid balance deducted by successive subscriptions messages, now it is Negative 20/-.
What is this???? I a really wonderful for that.

In the meantime I have recd a complaint no [protected] by Ms Veena, Floor Supervisor on 16-01-08 at 11am for further correspondence while I repeat the whole story to her.
Again Mr Uman has called me from Airtel around 2pm and confirmed that the said amount (around 450/- so) will be refunded by next 24 hrs. But I am still waiting for the refund.

I have consecutively spoken couples of Airtel Executives and Supervisors but nothing have resolved yet.

You people know that its how horrible to reach a customer care executive!

Note that it is a PREPAID balance and HARD EARNED money. I’ll not indulge it at any cost. It's a kind of SMART CHEATING, I have to loose my precious communication also in deadline and I am really HARASSED with this problem. Why people be bother with your interrupted service? It’s not only a matter of deduction of prepaid rather it’s a matter of CUSTOMER HARASSMENT.

Concern person please… please contact me as early possible for final solution.

    Iam staying in chennai, and applied for Airtel broadband connection on 10.09.2009.Marketing excutive confirmed it will be done with in 5 working days, but 10 days left not yet done, i checked with [protected], they said wait for another 10 days...My connect form no 860768, i dont want ur connection, deact the process immeadetly...

      We are happy to take 6 new corporate connections for our office, at the time of introducing sales executive told us that the per call charges would be .30 paise per min. but we always receive the bill with .50 paise after complaining him several times he asure that it would cut down on your new bill but it not happened till date. Now, we stop paying the bill and ask him / airtel customer care for settlement but they show lack intereset on it. WHAT DO TO? WE STUCK IN A BAD CONDITION. PLEASE HELP!

      Airtel-GPRS Service — GPRS activation improper

      I have been trying to contact airtel at 121 and [protected] but it was of no use as the call just gets disconnected after choosing all the options. I am paying for the GPRS service but still not able to access my office mails on this address on my mobile.I do not want GPRS for accessing internet but for accessing my office mails. I do not want to pay fo something when i am not able to use it. Please someone help me. Either please disconnect the service or i should be able to use the service to access my official mails.

      I am really surprised with the no responsibility attitude of airtel (they do not even call back if they have n't heard the complaint o[censored]ser). They actually do not want to entertain any complaints.

      Is this one of biggest companies of India whose CEO had been awarded many coveted awards of EY and ET etc. What a shame if some foreigner takes the service of airtel, they will be in for a biggest surprise of their life!!! Also i am concerned with such poor quality service and wonder why a Singapore based Company invested in such a Company which does not have a minimum quality standards, even MTNL is far better then Airtel.

      If somebody is hearing especially brabd amabassadors please stop appearing for this Company's ad...they are not worth it.

      Airtel India Ltd. — Improper Billing of GPRS services

      I have corporate connection plan of airtel mobile services.Airtel has charged 3783.40 Rs. for GPRS services for the billing period of 05-Sep-2009 to 04-Oct-2009. I haven't used this GPRS services in my mobile.As per airtel record they have activated GPRS services in my mobile on[protected] and stopped GPRS on[protected].And as per our record sms by airtel GPRS services activated on[protected] and deactivated on[protected].After that I don't have any record of SMS of GPRS activation in my mobile.
      I request you to please look in to this matter and resolve it as soon as possible.

      As per your statement in below email of GPRS activation on 21 July 2009 is wrong bcoz related to this I don't have any SMS provided by Airtel. I have not made any request of GPRS activation after the[protected].This is your server or database problem of billing and you people are adjusting this money in to my account.
      I have clearly told you that I haven't used GPRS services b/w these dates.This is some kind of backend problem of your billing system and you need to check this again.Since last two times you are returning GPRS money in to my account which you have charged earlier to me.This SMS I have already forwarded to 121 from [protected] please check this.
      I request you please check from backend bcoz this is the server or backend problem.

      This is to bring to your notice that i am using airtel connection no. [protected] on the name of Mr. Prashant Malhotra.I got Gprs connection activated but no details were told by sales exec. Executive said on daily basis Rs 20 will be deducted .Now when i have received the bill the the usage of Gprs was around 1200 approx, which was too high and no clear information regarding the same was given by airtel customer care executives.When verbal complaint was launched they clearly said they cant help & you have to pay this amount.

      Now a days internet is so cheap. Airtel broadband connection ( landline) is available at rent of Rs 599/- with unlimited useage & the same company is charging different plan to its customers using mobile connection which is brech of trust to loyal & old customers.Apart from this competitor Vodafone is giving the same plan( GPRS ) at monthly rent of Rs 299/-useage unlimited.

      More over when I gave request to stop my GPRS on 2nd Dec, even after receving the message that it will stop within few hours, it was stopped on 7th Dec after my reminder again at airtel customer care.Why should I pay more for service which I have not used .As such there is no check available where the customer can see his daily useage.

      In these circumstances if you can help me to rectify the bill, I can continue with the connection and if not pls stop the connection from immediate effect.I will not give you any further reminders to close the connection.This is my 1st & the last written reminder to close the connection.

      looking forward for a positive reply from you.

      Airtel India Ltd. — Fake call

      Hi,
      I got a missed call today (4th Jan '11) in the eveining , from [protected]. actually I have seen the number from my mobile is like +9234..., I thought that it's somewhere from India, and I called back, that person who talks in hindi, said that you won 25 lakh lottery from Airtel for your special number, and he gave a number ([protected], Mr .Sighaniya, Senior Supervisor) asked me to call to him, but I didn't make any calls to that number,suspecting it for a fake call.
      Immediatly I checked with airtel customer care, and they told me that already such calls are being received by other airtel customers also, where they are asking for bank details.

      I want airtel, to become proactive in registering such complains and inform all their users about the same
      so that customers may not fall in such traps.

            this is the complain against airtel prepaid no (+91 [protected]) REQUEST REFERENCE NO [protected]


            i have sent a text message for the activation of gprs settings at (MO 52567)and mobile office settings(MO 223 (10 DIGIT PIN NO ON THE GPRS CARD) on 17th of jan 2009, i got 2 confirmation message that your gprs will be activated within 24 hrs and your request has been saved. your mobile office will be activated within 48 hrs,

            so i again tried to cal 121 than i was told that your service will be activated on 19 jan 2009 at 6.30 pm,
            when i checked my mobile for internet use i was unable to use internet service coz it was not activated and i was also trying to cal 121 but they have transferred my cal to computerized service, i was jus fed up of this service, its really cheap. they cant full fill their commitment on time, i just wanna know if they can provide me better service if not please disconnect my connection and return my money

            I want to activated my GPRS Internet Card of Rs. 450/-. I send the SMS on 3rd July 08 at 12.03 PM but still i have not got any response about activation.

              i am receiving sms from 64611010 as, ( thanks for using subscription service on Airtel WAP . you have been charged rs. 10 .). might be i had subscrived for the fun zone through http://igmobi.com.Therefore I am losing Rs10/- per day from my talktime balance.Please be kind enough to deactivate the subscription . reqesting to to please stop this . i dont want this Airtel wap service any more.(My cell no:[protected])

                I have received service meassage on 18.01.2009. That message was Games Super Sale..Play top Games worth Rs.399 at just Rs.99!!. then few seconds I have received another message, "Thanks for downloading Javagame from Airtel Live WAP Service. You've been charged Rs.99.
                I did not download above. Please don't deduct Rs.99. from my bill. My mobile number [protected]...

                i have already regisered with ndnc on 24/4/2008 and my registration no is f[protected]. but still massages and calls recived so kindly stop all of this

                I have registered my no.[protected] of Airtel on DO NOT DISTURB option of airtel on 24/04/2008, and my Reference Number is f[protected]. but still i am recieving the prerecorded calls from airtel which cause me a lot of trouble.still they have not blocked such calls..

                I have registered with Airtel DND service around 2 years back, things went good for 1 or 2 months and all of a sudden I again started telemarketing calls and sms. I am getting sms from names like TA-IMPORTER, MD-TIBBD, and calls from Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance. Recently I got call from Kotak mahindra thrice in 1 week. The reference number for my DND is S[protected]. When i speak to airtel guys they tell me that everything is OK at their end. I really dont know whom I should raise the complaint to.

                I have been getting regular promotional SMS while I have been registered DND more than 10 months ago vide my DND Request no. S[protected] dtd. 17/02/2010. My airtel number is [protected]. Whenever, I contacted to customer care of airtel after getting such SMS they spoke me your problem will be resolved within 15 days. But in between or after promising day, I again got & continued such SMS on my mobile. so, why do not stop while I facing problem. Kindly take the action to stop such promotional sms & calls.

                sir, please help me, i took an idea sim in this month with no. [protected], and i think 5 or more times a same message is coming with the name - AD-AIRTEL, containing these msgs :

                "your bill dated 09-jan-11 of rs. 1679 for your airtel fixedline a/c no. 15863697 is due for payment on 28-jan-11. please ignore if already paid."

                what is this ... i dnt have any airtel connection and my idea no. is new, then hw they can sms me like this . please do something fr me, otherwise after tomorrow they will msg me little diff. frm the above, they will surely going to add the amt after due date ...

                I fully agree with Amit Arora's comments. All those things should really happen to these money-greedy people who have no respect for customers and India as well. Our politicians and these companies like Airtel are together making our country one of the worst in the world. I guess all these greedy people have originated from the worst nalas ... Utterly rotten politics and the same with these telemarketing greedy lousy people, esp Airtel.
                I just want to add to my above comment here:

                With Airtel's utter disregards to customers, I want to tell them only one thing: If they believe in Karma, then know this, each of your rotten employee will see their mother taking rebirth as a randi and will be torn apart by gangs... all this just because of your greed and nothing is worse than to see your dear one suffer because of your sins. Feeling really sorry for your family members who may have money today, but very bad fortune awaits them because of your sins towards the Indian consumers. The ball is in your court now.

                A very very dejected Airtel consumer. There is no need to provide the mobile number also, because there will be no justice done to us whatever we do.. however loud we cry. So the only justice left will be you lousy people seeing your dear ones suffer the worst and forever. They shall suffer because you chose such ugly methods...
                I'd registered for DND when it was announced in Aug 2007 itself & have made repeated complaints to Airtel since then & even after several assurances from airtel customer care, i continue to get unsolicited calls & SMS's for promotions of everything from personal loans to free credit cards.

                Now i receive a "test sms" from a certain, "TD Snapdeal". !! Wow !! that beats everything, when i've never asked for any dealing with the so called TD !!

                I'm most disgusted with even the call center no : 121, since when we call, we are not given an option of queries for DND. Even in the website, there's no provision for registering complaints reg DND !!

                  pls deactivate my subscription for auto payment of my airtel postpaid bill thru icicivbp. it is getting double paid for past few months. i have made standing instr in citibank bank. pls do the needful as earlier as possible
                  Dear sir/madam,

                  sub: airtel postpaid bill amount exceeding the credit limit, without notice

                  I have used airtel prepaid connection for last 3 years in NCR, last month I have converted to postpaid. My plan is 2G combo, 399 Rs, as per my plan, i have 1.5GB 2GB GPRS free and 750 mins local call free.

                  Now, as per their bill, I have used 1.9 GB, for this extra 0.4 GB they are charging around Rs.4000 extra amount.

                  But as per my mobile data usage, i have used only 1.4 GB, and I have kept balance 100 MB as spare.

                  If suppose if any how I had used 2G data more than the alloted to me, Airtel haven't messaged me regarding extra data usage and they have directly reflected in the bill. So why should I pay extra 4000 Rs for their system fault. And this amount I can never pay.

                  I do not want to take this risk in future, as they can bill me any amount. But I want to stick to my mobile number. Their customer care are imposing me to pay this bill amount otherwise they will stop my number.

                  Kindly help in this regard.

                  I am not getting my post paid bill from last 4 months. I have regularly followed up for the same thing and they conformed that my Jan bill is Rs 7.32, Feb bill is Rs 0, March bill is also zero and April bill the have given Rs 8775.71. This is totally fraud. They said that they have some technical issues. So why would a customer bother about the technical issues from company. Please help me. I cannot pay this amount suddenly.

                    your excecutives are not at all good in conversation and the also don't provide the proper service if this is not going to stop then i will definately lodge the complaint to consumer court.

                          This is a CUSTOMER HARRASEMENT! Airtel can be sued for this.

                          I have received several Due Date SMSes since last one week. My payment due date is 16-Jan which I am well aware of and thats the reason I have signed up for standard instruction/auto debit to my credit card. Well Airtel seems to be forgetting this everytime. I still have the apology letter sent to me with regard to late fees charged even though the standing instructions exsists.

                          Here are the number of time i received the SMSs from our dear Airtel, which does not really bother to do something!

                          1st SMS - 13th Jan 8:44AM (Good Morning greeting from Airtel. :))
                          2nd SMS - 15 Jan 7:27AM
                          3rd SMS - 15 Jan 10:07AM (2nd SMS of the day).
                          4th SMS - 16 Jan 8:03AM (bad news for people who getup late)
                          5th SMS - 16 Jan 11:00AM (2nd for the day).
                          6th SMS - 16 Jan 11:29AM (3rd for the day).
                          7th SMS - 17 Jan 8:56AM (today Airtel decided to give me an hour more of sleep).

                          Thanks for the owesome SMSs. You dont have to remind me that SMSs from Airtel(its own network is free). Get rid of these payment reminders when i have signed up for a Standing instructions.

                          Would apprecaite if someone takes this seriously and gives me a call to explain.

                            I guess this is the company is sending the SMS.

                              Dear Sir,

                              I would like to inform that my blackberry activation charges has been paid twice. I had to pay for it once in the beginning and after the bill was generated it showed that the amount had not been cleared. I have the proof from the bank statement that it has been paid, and inspite of that the airtel customer services insist that it has not been paid. The amount was credited to my credit card again via the smart pay facility. I have a confirmation email from Airtel that the amount has already been paid, along with the bank statement. I would like to know why I have been charged the same amount again. I would be grateful if Airtel would look into it and refund the amount Rs6999 back.

Morever 99% of your customer service is computer genereted talk, rarely we get a chance to talk to your people. please improve your service and recruit trained people to satisfy the customer.once again i am reqesting you to deactivate the cricket details so that i can recharge my phone

                                  Airtel Prepaid — poor cust service

                                  tis is de worst frikkin customer service tat ive come across ive been usin tis prepaid connection for de past 4 yrs and its all bull de customer officers hardly attend calls or bloody put me on hold for a very long time or de lines r always busy hw r v suppose to bloody talk or make any calls or contact any1 in need if de service is gona be so poor an dead!!! de customer service has no coortesy at all dey disconnect de call b4 de customer even finishes talkin wat kinda ethics do yo peeps teach dem huh sumtin better b done bout tis soon

                                  Airtel Prepaid — Poorest Service and no customer care action

                                  No Doubt, that Airtel has the cheapest service which helps its customers to continue with their services.
                                  But on the other hand, the service provided by them is even more cheaper.
                                  Customer care also does not respond to the complaints that are being lodged-this, only if in the first palce the customer is able to connect to the customer care which is itself difficult.
                                  The Network is always jammed and the complaints are never taken care of.
                                  The Airtel MMS Service is another non functional service. Whenever an MMS is sent Rs.5 is deducted from the account, but neither is the message sent or received. Even MMSes received cannot be viewed.
                                  Low rates are the only reason why people are using Airtel today. Or else there is no other good reason.
                                  diconnecting services without intimation even before due date
                                  HI, myself vibha. I have a complaint regarding airtell customer service. They do not have proper information and they misguide the customers. I got the sms regarding free sms (local) in Rs. 42. I recharged my phone. After doing several smses (local), i was shocked to see my bal. it was deducted. i called in cust. care. he said you might get the wrong sms. In this recharge pack you will get Airtel to Airtel 90 min free. For sms you have to recharge with Rs. 38. Now when i made a call to friend who's having airtell prepaid connection i checked my bal. it was Rs. 223/. After talking to her my bal. left Rs. 198/. that means no free calls. i again spoke to cust. care. they said there's no such pack is available in Rs. 42/-. I just wanted to know what the hell is this. Why airtell cust. care make fool out of customers. The india's largest telecom service having so bad infrastructure or they dont value their customer's time and money's value. If my problem is not going to solve within week, i am going to write to TRAI for the legal action against the company.
                                  Since last three month i am unable to make a call on 121
                                  I activated my misscall facility on 06.10.2008.But I havenot find any sms alert for misscall.I was also complain for this on 08.10.2008.complain no is 937000 date 08.10.2008

E mail and SMS to 121 have only resulted in mis informing me that the concern has been attended. The truth is that the signal is still as bad as was on the day of complaint.                                   i want to reach the concerned person who can help me, but i am not able to find a way to give my compliant...anyways the story goes like this !!!.one day i got a call from a lady telling me that she is from AIRTEL & she offered me a migration scheme of my prepaid airtel to postpaid for the same number which is [protected]...i accepted the offer.The next day a person by name SUNIL came to me, filled up the form & took 300/- for which he did not acknowledge any reeipt but when asked he told the form itself is a receipt.Again after two days he gave me a SIM card aswell...there were some verifications also done by the executives.But my agony begins after that, now its been more than a month nothing 's been done till now...when i went to the Airtel office in nandidrga road, bangalore, they tell me that since i don't have a receipt, they cannot find out the solution for this...Now my concern is that your company people are least bothered to solve customer's problem. please kindly address this problem as you are losing a lot of customers..I would also want to bring to your notice that most of your employees i.e. almost 90%, behave very rudely & with a lot of arrogance...i would apprecaite if any concerned person can help me solve this proble...

                                  I have recharged Rs 57 to the Airtel Promo offer on 26th Sep 2009. For some days the plan is working fine but now I facing problems as they have guaranteed discounts from the 2nd call of the day but they are charging full for all my calls. I have complained this to Airtel Customer Care 4 times and have interacted to Shaheen, Dinesh, Rocky and Shahin...

                                  They have taken my complaints but till now no one has reverted on my complains. And I am also disappointed the way the senior people speaks at the time of complains.

                                  hi I am vishaal pralhad phanase mobile number is [protected] I am ushing your services more thatn One year but whenever I am calling to Air tel customer care serives the executives are disconnecting the call oftenly, latest example is of 2.12.2009 when I called for the my queries the CSE Ms.Poornima Rokade disconnected the call when I asked to confirmed wheather my validity will be carry forwarded or no if I recharge the card before the due date & also she was very rude on the call.
                                  If it is possible then please listen to that call which I made on 2.12.2009 & I got all this information from the senior CSE of your department only when I called you after few minutes on the same day.

                                  I am having airtel prepaid connection. Number is [protected].
                                  I am very sad to tell this nowadays airtel is becoming bad in customer care.
                                  This is not only my grievance but many more people (my friends and relative) are suffering like this but not able to know how to stop this. We had a very good and great pride feel with airtel. But last few months your continuous torture with service messages and sudden debit of amount from our account made us feel something worst about airtel.
                                  Last cricket world cup time without our permission amount has been deducted for the score messages.
                                  And within last 2 months we have lost more that 40 rupees, without our permission just because of kollywood cinema text messages. There are plenty of ways to know the news y should we spend amount and getting message from you?
                                  I sent unsubscribe text message service, the message came that within 24 hrs the service will be disconnected. But immediately one more message came that your message is not valid! 3 rupees deducted for my unsubscribe message too!! It happened 3 times for me. What a cheating?
                                  Then we called customer care number after big trouble... One lady answered to us and agreed to stop the service message and unauthorized amount deduction. But after one week again 10 rupees deducted for the text message service. With great angry and anguish we tried again for the customer care. This time we spoke with the in charge person he also agreed to stop all this and refund for the 10 rupees. But as usually nothing was happened.
                                  Ten days before again 10 rupees was deducted. What is this nonsense? Where we can go and complaint? Even one rupee also matter for like us middle and poor class people. You have no rights to deduct any even a single paisa from us without our permission. What u r doing now is very unmannered and it lead us to think stop using airtel and spreading this matter to all my affected friends and relatives.
                                  I still have hope at least some respond will come for this mail.

                                  i called customer care but there is very poor res-ponce they hold the call for 10 min & not giving the proper information and the charges also deduct for calling customer care which is 50 paisa /3minuts .so pleas take a action immediately

                                  Airtel Prepaid Services — Promotional Messages without authorisation

                                  There are unnecessary messages sent by airtel and other service providers without authorisation and when the message come on your phone it is charged to you my mobile number is [protected] i called customer care to stop the message was informed to send a message to stop it and will be taken care in 3 months (long procedure) but they don't stop and after that i call customer care and speak to the supervisor and he does it on his end ad it will take another 45 days from today how inconvenient for me to pay the money and get unnecessary messages
                                  My Prepaid sim has been disabled for the lack of document submission last week 4th of Nov. I was not able to submit the document as I was out of station.

                                  The document have been submitted by me on 15 th of Nov in the first half and was assured to start the service by the evening. The services have not yet started.

                                  Please take the necessary and prompt action to rectify the same at the earliest.

                                    Past 20 days I am using Airtel Prepaid connection.Which is an Out of Chennai Number.Every ten minutes It display Simcard Update Started at the time No Network coverage.So I doesn't contact other after 5 or 10 minutes I got network coverage.After that same problem arise that is simcard update started.What i am doing to overcome this problem.If any one know the reason tell me.I am using Nokia 1600.

                                      I use an airtel sim card on my phone
                                      I've received a SMS on 6th jan 2009 stating
                                      !!URGENT! Your phone number has been selected for a $5000 prize guaranteed! to claim your prize call
                                      +[protected].
                                      the Message center is =[protected]

                                      The above SMS was also received by one of my family members using reliance connection stating to call to some other number for the Lottery prize.
                                      here the message center was different.

                                      After investigating a bit i found these numbers was of Montreal a city in Canada.

                                      Can anyone find or see what is the exact SCAM about, and help other all who received such Pishing SMS.

                                      I have received the same type of call and it was said that I have won 15Lac, and was asked to buy one I2Z cash coupon of 20, 000 and to tell them the number inscribed in the coupon. Then some people will come and verify it. According to me the whole thing is fraud. If any body has any information on this kindly comment.
