To whom so ever it may concern.
I am a resident of balkampet tonight while I am watching makarajyothi darshanam in television the power has gone all of a sudden and came just after the completion of makarajyothi darshanam that is exactly 15 minutes. From 19:02hrs to 19:16hrs. Can I know the reason why was the power cut exactly at that time. Since months we havent faced any power problem but why only today ? If there is a valid reason behind this power cut there is no issue for me, if any one has intentionally made the power cut those people should be punished.

      Hi,

      We have noted that there are frequent powercuts and very long duration power cuts( like morning 10 AM to 5 Pm) in the area of Pragathinagar, Opp: JNTU, Hyderabad.

      Today morning from 10 Am onwards till now (5.55 pm) there is no power for all houses in Pragathi nagar.

      There is no announcement in thier website on the same.

      It will be very difficult for the people to manager thier house hold works, Functions due to such a long hours power cut.

      Please take some corrective actions and restore the confidence among the people.

      Yes I agree..mostly happens without any formal notice. I happen to stay in flat with no generator. My In Laws are aged..and happen to take a walk every morning to take care of their health...some times they get stuck in lift and need to keep shouting in the lift for the supervisor in the flat for rescue.
      Can't they announce and schedule this..rather than keep all prompt paid people with last minute surprises.

      Also these kind of surprises happens on Mondays.

      God sake...please announce, so we could be prepared.

      Yes..This is happening frequently (infact daily) at Pragathi nagar. The power will be off for more than 5 to 6 hrs and some time even worst, it is causing a severe trouble for us. Please can any one take a serious action on it.

      I really don't know whom to contact, I have maild < [protected]@apcentralpower.com; [protected]@apcentralpower.com> but havent received any response from them.

      ...its 1.26am from last 2hours we dont have power.if you search for pragathinagar electric city customer care number ur able to find all the region's numbers except pragathinagar nagar...they dont have dare to share their numbers...chi chi prgathingar
      This is not "pragathi" nagar, this is "Venkabadda" Nagar. They can change the name if area. Even in villages there is no such power cut. Most backward area in Hyderabad. One or two days is fine but every other day they cut power and that too for hours together even at mid nights. Worst department.

        The supply at TriveniNagar near Balapur substation is very erratic, troublesome. Already many complaints given by the entire colony residants to the Director operation etc. but no improvement done. Tle local AD /AE of this substation has no contact number available. Moreover the local substation has no complaint tel. number or no complaint is taken seriously.
        Most of the time during morning no power will be available for 4/5 hours. Thereafter the supply will frequently cut off and restore with low voltage causing damages to home appliances.
        An immediate action in this matter is solicited.

          Iam Naresh Bharadwaj Pendem, resident of Janapriya gardens, L B nagar, hyderabad, here i have a complaing against APCPDCL division (saroor nagar) division no 1213, service no 11252.

          I have complaint to regional office regarding disconnected service wire, he promised me that he will send line man to reconnect that line, but itz been 2day yet he havent came to solve my complaint, according to my knowledge he is a well corrupted line man always demands for money to his every service... i think he is expecting money from me to solve my problem....
          Why not post this scammer photo so others can know this scammer.This is rarely going in hyderabad.also we may have to add this persons in scam list

            My sc.no.AZ67573, for the past two months I am getting huge amount of bill, i.e.Rs.819/-, though my usual bill amounts will not be more than Rs. 250 to Rs.300 range only. Please enqire into this and do need full, however I am paying the bill just to honour the Electricity Authorities.

            this is to inform you that i am working in L&T toll plaza in hyderabad at mehboob nagar as electrical engineer . here at village at addkal mandal we (providing street light facility for high way lighting.so we have a taking supply from nearest sub station (addkal) . for some reason our street lights were not working when we check the entire supply systeam we found that from H.T side loose contacts were there. so we inform to nearest sub station(addkal;) for that matter but after 2 days has completed but they are not responding.kindly do necessary action about this matter.

I have a problem that the Electricity department is daily cut-off the current during nights which is right time for my son to study. It takes nearly 1/2 hr to 1 hr to check and give the power. This happens only for nearly 10 to 20 houses and the remaining houses do not have this problem. We pay the current bills regularly. I am very sorry to have this kind of situation for us.                   I am a resident of Sai Anurage Venture, Jana chaitanya housing Ltd, Bachupally near IBP petrol bunk. Currently we are having electricity under industrial phase which is a big problem for the residential people. 3 days power cut is horrible, now a days we are feeling that we are in City or village. Power cut happens in the midnight when we contact the Elec FOC, Bachupally office they will simply say we will look in the morning which doesn't make any sense. I humbly request to provide the residential lines to our area.

                  We see some of the apartments has already changed from industrial lines to domestic lines but in our area no progress has been done. Kindly request you to action it further.

                      Sir,
                      i v.lakshmi is to inform to you that i have applied for electricity service in the month of february 2009 for which they have provided the service with the category of commercial. and they have instructed that at the time of construction of house the service will be released in the category of commercial only and have to pay the billing with commercial tarrif.

                      After completion of house they advised me to submitt an application to change the category from commercial to domestic. and the same i have been requested to change the category in the month of august 2009, and they said that it will took one week. Due to the irregularity of the concerned area A.E. and the line man, yet the category hasn`t changed and they have billing with commercial tarrif only for which i have consulted the A.E in the month of september but he said that it has mistakenly generated with commercial tariff and requested me to pay for this month with commercial tarriff. i did the same, and repeatedly the commerciall tariff billing has been generated in the month of october, november and december also the same has been brought to the notice of the A.E several times i think more than 20 times i have requested him to do the needfull in this regard. At last he said that the bill from oct to Dec. i will revise the tarriff from commercial to domestic with in two days until than u please wait and u come to this office on[protected] , at the same time on[protected] the service wire has been disconnected as on the day we are out of station. on the same day we came at 10.00 pm and saw that the power off to my house, for which i have called up to the line man and area A.E and they have said that we will look tommorrow, and once again i called up on phone and requested to look after for the power , and they said that why u have disturbing us.

                      so , i kindly request to look in to the matter, and the irregularity of the A.E. and line man in changing the category, and disconnectiog the service wire, as at the time the door is locked. and showing their irregularity in this regard.

                      I request to do the needfull in this regard.

                      i siva inform you that my domestic house constructed takes 9 months time, at the time of construction A.E inspected my house raise notice demand and change my demostic category to commercial.Our basic requirement we paid the all notice demand and requested to A.E for convertion of category and submit all supporting documents but after paid the demand amount my electricty bill genatate same under commercial category there is no responce from electricity department it is requested to electricty department takes action in this regard

                            Some with the following designation Assistant Engineer (Elect) Musheerabad Section - 55 Distributio - VI City II APCPDCL, Hyderabad, came to collect the electricity bill from us on 24th May 2009 and gave a slip like as in the link below:

                            Now, even after the bill paid, we are not given original receipts and it's not updated in their database. On contact they are saying that, you need to repay the bill. Because it's not paid. The person who collected the bill has left.

                            Kindly resolve the issue so that we will not pay the bill once again.

                                [I posted this as http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/independent-c247126.html and just realized usage of columns in this submission form thus reposting again with correct Company/Product name]

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                Am a resident of Sadashivapet town, I required to move/extend few (#4) electricity service wires that connects our neighours houses over my house. This change is required to facilitate my house construction.

                                In this regard, I approached our electricity board helpdesk/callcenter in our town to know what the actual procedure of getting such requirements addressed. I spoke with Line inspecter (SHANKER, contact number: [protected]) who made me to wait for some time and said that there is nothing as such a procedure but he would send a helper to my residence to perform this activity and asked me to pay him Rs. 300 as fee. When I asked for the receipt he said it's for their purpose (bribe) and no receipt would be given.

                                Out of intolerance, I asked if they can do it without need of money if I submit a application for the activity. Then he simply said, no application is required, it's our responsiblity to address this issue and they would attend this soon.

                                However, waiting for a long #2 weeks didn't help me and having no other go, am forced to accept to pay whatever the bribe he was asking me. I humbly, requested the line inspecter to help me out and I'll give him the bribe. Despite this and my rigorous follow up on every weekend, he didn't help me another long #3 weeks leading to a situation of holding my house construction. Whenever, I call him he used to put all layman excuses. Seemed he wanted to prove his capability & power/authority.

                                Finally, I approcached him again and he said it's not his responsibility but he would inform appropriate line man who will do this.

                                Still expressing honesty, I could manage to get the respective line man contact number and then started following up with him.

                                Nevertheless of being developments and moral awareness in society, I had to again face the another situation to compromise myself to accept to give the bribe. The Line man (DASTAGIRI contact number: [protected]) after #2 days hourly follow up and with few other know recommendations, he performed the service wire extension. He demanded me to pay Rs.300 by hinting me to keeping the situation and importance of their service in my mind going forward.

                                After all, the Line man seemed to manage to not connect one of the sevice wire properly and the neighours of that house has started a quarrel with us. This all to go to him again and beg for his great corrupt ful incorrect service.

                                Writing this compaint praying god to help better form the society in my town.

                                  I am a resident of Mahalaxmipuri, Excise Colony, Yapral. SC No.[protected], ERO - 312, Saininkpuri.
                                  I have a three-phase connection to my house and my Bore water pump runs on a 3-phase motor. But unfortunately, in our colony, there is always a problem with the transformer and one out of three phases goes off frequently. Because of this, I am unable to pump the bore water to over head tank and quite often suffer for the water. We also do not have Manjeera water and dependent only on this bore water.

                                  In spite of giving complaint several times, this is not being rectified permanently. Since last midnight, we did not have power supply and it was resumed only this morning after 0830 AM, but with only two phases. Up on pursuing several times, they rectified it and all three phases were available only for about 15 minutes and again one phase was off. In-spite of complaining this matter again and again, no one has attended and it is now already 1630 hrs and there is no sign of any one attending to the problem.

                                  Same with me for 3 day power is down in my house and as i approch the office they say lineman is on his way to attend the call and they had give me the this number [protected] (madhavarm nagar colony ) and when i call them they say there is a big break down today, on day one second they say they had not received my complaint and third day they say they are busy today they will come 2morrow I think this guy are saying all the storys they want how we can raise a compliaint on this . Looke like they are expecting some Money also called lancham Sepcial tip for special service .. made 28 calls and even made call to 15333 special customer care number just to add cost to you .


                                  I always try to avoid the paid of interactiving with govt dept and called a local electication he says it problem at pole and need to climb the pole .

                                    Respected sir,
                                    Here i wish you to load a complaint against a person who is misusing, literally thefting the resources of the electricity board. The concerned person who is a lady using such a technology that even ur department's trained engineers also cannot identify the process of the cheating. It was only a small house having 3 rooms and beside to the kitchen, there was a bathroom and exactly at that point, there was a big dump and it was connected with a type of rod and that rod was connected to the switch board, the lever which is related to that switch board is at the front room where the actual main switch is located. If the switch was turned on, surprisingly, metre stops running, when a guy comes from the department for billing, she immediately turns off the switch and metre starts running infront of the billing guy. We were surprised to know what technique is applied here. As the metre was outside the house, she remembers the billing guy, and does not operate the system in the first weeks of the month.

                                    The dump which is inside where the system is located is covered by a grinder and it cannot be identified if normally looks. The house is having One TV, Grinder, Refrigerator, Monobloc Pump, 2 fans continuosly operating along with TV, Mixie, Water Heater, Tube lights etc. You just think sir. A house having this much of electronic goods, is there having possibility to get a Electricity bill of not more than 300/- every month?? just go thriugh the records the serial billing from the past 1 year. Any month u consider, you cannot find the bill more than 400/-. THIS IS A RIGHT ROYAL CHEATING OF THE GOVERNMENT. These type of people should not be left. Kindly take the necessary action.                                       I am Mohd Akbar Ullah Khan tenant of Md Sirjul Islam Warsi ; ERO 8, ERO Name CHANCHALGUDA, Addr:[protected]/c/1to4 rein bazaar, BILL NO:0282, SCNO:R2011871, A.C:170204 I am having general store shop in yakutpura near Islamia College I am running this general store since last 15years, every month I utilize 40 units to 50 units and I use to pay bill of min 90.00 rupee or max 120.00.In my shop I am using 2 tubes light and 1 fan from morning 8.00am to night 11.00pm.but last this month I am got problem in billing and I got bill of 533.00 rupee when I ask to billing guy for what this 533.00 is charge? He use to say I am charging 533.00 only or else I will charge 1500.00 rupees do want this bill or not. This way to interact with customers, Sir you can check the whole record of my electricity details which I was paying last 15 years and my meter is on the pole the condition of electricity box is not well it is damage by the lorry drivers and door of the electricity box is missing and one more think the electricity box is misuse by some local electricians sir kindly stop the misuse of electricity box and I want my meter on outside of my shop please shift my meter. Sometimes when I closed my shop I switch off the main but my meter runs as usually, I forwarded this information to the office but there is no response from electricity office after that I checked my meter by electrician he told me your meter is using by some other guys.

                                        I have been getting electricity bills demanding to pay huge amounts even though i am not using the it minimal. The mistake is on account of wrong reading noting by the meter reader. I do not know what sort of people are employed for noting the same and cannot read the meter properly and people like me are put to hardships month after month running from pillar to post from offices to offices around the city getting it corrected.

                                        Earlier in January as the meter reading was wrong, i had approached the Mudfort electricity office who inturn asked me to visit their mahendra hills office and from mahendra hills office to their paradise office all the movement of papers had to be done by me and finally i got the same corrected.

                                        To my surprise the next month again i got a bill with huge amount demand and i approached the paradise office, wherein it was observed that the consumer number was entered wrongly and due to which wrong amount bill was generated. A fresh bill was given to me and was asked to pay and then the amount was paid.

                                        Again after two months i get the recent bill for the period 07/2009 for Rs.1597.00 as demand notice so i approached the paradise office and was told that i have to restart the earlier procedure of visiting the AE at Mudfort / Mahendra Hills/ Paradise.

                                        Can any body help me in this regard. If the same is not resolved in a weeks time i plan to go to the press.
