Avail the amount of Rupees 7 Lakh paid towards gold card membership

To, The Senior Officer Consumer Court, I had taken Gold Card membership from Artha Health Options Pvt Ltd starting from the year 2010/2011 for a period of 8 years. As part of the esteemed Gold Card membership they took 7 lakh rupees. They have given me health vouchers till the end of 2015 and travel vouchers till the end of 2015. Booked Artha health voucher on 22/03/2013. It has been almost 4 week but i've not received the same. No one is giving me the details when this will be delivered and making stories. last week they told agent will come and deliver the vouchers but no one came. application no - 142622.     I took Artha health Master checkup kit, along with other add-on checkup options.
    They informed us as they are tieduped with good reputed hospital.
    Later I came know that they are not tieduped.
    So I called up and informed to cancel and refund.
    They accepted and informed to wait for few days.
    Now I'm calling them for my money from morethan a month, but till now no improvement in there process.
    I'm really fedup of calling them and complaining now.
    Please help me to get my money. I paid totally 12500 rupees (Twelve thousands five hundred only)
    On 13-10-12 paid through my credit card.

While taking Master health check up they told me it's cost around 3992 rupees and they deducted the same and they took my sign for the same amount. Next day they called me and telling to me, the deducted amount is for the processing fees, actually you took the Gold plane(this gold plan not at all discussing to me) u need to pay the 53000. ie life time. every year u need to pay the...

      SIr,

      Artha health options cheated me by taking Rs. 1999/- rupees but did not deliver the product. After swiping my card they said they will deliver the product in a week time but did not send anything. Now I am not able to reach their contacts. The person who has taken my money has switched off his mobile and the number provided in the slip is not reachable.

        I bought a membership of Artha Health Options in Bangalore. My artha card no is 0661430
        After my old membership expired, Artha called me and said that the renewal fee for the next year is 4500/-. I agreed and gave my consent to debit that amount from my SBI credit card no. [protected]. The amount was debited from my credit card on 03-Aug-2011.
        Now, I get a call from Artha saying that the amount was only “processing fee” and not the “full renewal fee”. They added that since I had agreed to renew my membership, I had no choice but to pay the full amount of 24000/- .
        They informed me that since they had my credit card details, and the consent to renew my membership, they were well within their rights to charge the balance amount to my credit card. Since the transaction was done by misinforming me and with a deliberate intention of cheating, I wanted to cancel my renewal and get the refund of 4500/- to which they disagreed.This has caused me intense mental agony and financial hardship.

        ARTHA HEALTH OPTIONS Bangalore — Don't take ARTHA HEALTH OPTIONS

        Don't go for ARTHA HEALTH OPTIONS at any case. Don't be cheated by them. And Please don't ever never give your credit card details to them to deduct payment towards their service. They will deduct all your credit limit with out any intimation. I[censored] ask to revert that money back they will blackmail you also.

        They harrased me like any thing. I agreed to pay 5986 and gave authorization for that amount through phone call. Apart from this amount they deducted 5986+7976 from my credict card. When I ask them to revert that amount they are telling so many stories. Still I didn't get that money. I will not leave them at any cost.
        They will use all illegal business techniques to get money from those poor members who have taken membership in that

          Sales executive promised various features and not all being met by Artha Health Options Pvt Ltd. There have been repeated followups but is a very painful exercise.

          One executive was supposed to meet me post renewal with the pay slip on which i had to sign and collect the renewal voutures and no one had turned up after 8 days, though your executive was
          supposed to visit on friday or maximum saturday last week.
          I was promised of one additional master health checkup vouture as a bonus for the renewal.
          I was also promised to club the travel voutures for 2 years and take 4 to 6 people by clubbing 2 years voutures. (3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children per vouture)
          I was supposed to get the executives number, who will be one point connect to do the bookings etc, i never received an sms.
          I was also supposed to receive the transaction id, and till date your executive did not share the same?
          Extension of previous years voutures till december 2011 and new voutures validity from 1st Jan 2012 to 31st dec 2012.
          Replacement benefit meaning if i inform Artha that i would not be availing a particular benefit (say dentist or other), in replacement you will faciliate or provide other benefit (say master health checkup or
          any other of same value), while the voutures of the selected benefit will be blocked.
          Unlimited consultation etc across each feature avaialble with Artha..

            Hi,

            I'm a basic member with Artha Health Options since 2006. I never had a financial problem till yesterday. Every year, they used to call me and persuade me for gold membership. Since I seldom use the vouchers they offered but to be on a safer side, I used to enroll for basic membership.

            This year also, I've renewed it for basic membership. They said that, since I've not used the vouchers for last 2 years, I will be given green membership which means basic membership with unlimited consultations.

            Today, I got a call from Artha executive by name Sruthi (Land line #[protected], Mobile # [protected]) who said that I've enrolled for Gold membership and Rs. 75,000/- will be deducted from my credit card.

            I was shell shocked. I've tried saying that I've enrolled into BASIC membership ONLY, which she denied. She say's that their office has a application from me (with MY OWN SINGNATURE !!) to be enrolled into Gold membership. I've clarified that, I had never signed for a Gold membership and requested to cancel the application if it was enrolled mistakenly by any of your executive (exploiting application for basic membership for gold membership).

            She refused to do so and moreover tried threatening me saying so-called ARTHA HEALTH OPTIONS have tie-up with RBI & Indian Medical Association (IMA) through which they can deduct money from my credit card, since I've signed in their application. If i refuse to accept their request, then IMA will proceed legally against me for the money. After some time of heated discussion, she gave a option saying "I can cancel the gold membership (which i never had and never applied for) provided you send a mail for cancellation to my personal mail id and pay processing fees of 5% of the amount i.e., Rs 3750/-. You have to decide it quickly i.e., now itself, as I don't have time and this is your last chance. If you fail to do so, you will be facing the consequences from IMA".

            After seeing this forum, I found out that I was not the only one who is being traumatized by ARTHA people.

            Please help me out from this money swindling fraudsters.

              -->Artha called me over phone and explained their Product's feature.

              --> Having got convinced about its Product features, I subscribed for its Health Option.

              --> My Subscription ID/Card No. is 0668104 Registered under my mobile no. [protected].

              --> The amount I paid is Rs. 2993/- thru. my Standard Chartered Credit Card.

              --> Immediately a small bunch of medical vouchers were dispatched. But I found what was promised over phone and the set of vouchers received were grossly mismatched. I certainly find the amount I have paid is far in excess to the set of vouchers they have sent to me for the amount paid.

              --> Notwithstanding to that, last few days one of their executives (as told his name is Mr.Raj) was telling me I have given my authorisation for Rs.22993/- for this subscription. Currently they have swiped for Rs.2993/-. The balance Rs. 20000/- will be also be swiped with whatever credit card details they have of mine which will appear in my next credit card statement. I got paniced with his statement and immediately I callled up the issuer bank to deactivate my card to be on safer side.

              --> With all that, I find Artha is deceiving people claiming very high over phone and later giving much less to its value. Also, their coupons are not accepted in many hospitals. It seems, whereever its accepted, the treatment from the hospital staff is not better for having used Artha subscription vouchers.

              --> They are also disagreeing to cancellation & refund of my subscription amount.

              KIndly look into it and help me in getting back my amount of Rs.2993/-. The vouchers that they have sent have not been used at all and I can return it as it is. Hope thru. this communication I would get your valuable assistance for which I shall be so kind of your organisation in advance.

                In the month of January I have received an call from artha health options pvt ltd. and they offered me a gold card for being a member for past 4 years for Rs. 3992/- and I agreed for the same and through my credit card of HSBC bank I have authorized them to debit a sum of Rs. 3992 only, they have done same and sent me charge slip for amount Rs.3992 which I have signed and received the coupons for diagnostics and consultations from there selected panel of doctors. but on 26th jan2011 I have received a call from phone number [protected] the person spoke to me was Mr. Rajeev who has introduced to me as branch manager for artha health options,. Bangalore division and told me that I have opted for life membership for artha health options and the charges for this Rs. 1, 00,000 (one lakh only) which will be debited from my card and the amount Rs. 3992 was just a processing fee and the application was signed by me for life membership but I have not signed any application form for life membership by just taking signature over charge slip they must have misused my credit card details and forged my signature. Kindly take suitable action against them.

                My name is Sandeep and i too had faced this problem from Artha Health.
                I request you to lodge a complaint with your credit card authorities. Send them a detailed mail and inform them that this transaction was not made as per your authorization.
                Luckily my amount was much lesser comparing to your One Lakh.
                Mine was an ICICI Credit card and ICICI temporarily reversed the transaction and after 2-3 months of enquiry they found that it was an illegal transaction and they cancelled the transaction permanently.
                When the enquiry was happening Artha tried to convince me several time and tried to get my signature in the slip.
                I request you to cancel your existing credit card and ask ur banker to reissue a different card (With a different number).
                I request people to come up in bulk and fight against this kind of Fraud companies.
                I dont know what is the best way to bring this to public notice.
                If someone can advice me, i can also join in this issue.

                  Respected Sir/Madam,

                  This is the regarding the issue I faced with ARTHA HEALTH OPTIONS PVT LTD.
                  The service or the way they are dealing with customers is totally unsatisfied or assumes to be fraud.

                  I had a bad experience with them and totally frustrated with this.

                  I was said I will be provided Gold membership card with 2 years maturity and an amount of 8975 Rs would cost for the same. I agreed for that and went ahead to take the same. (Around 25th of Sep 2010)

                  Later on one or the other executive /manager calls up and ask me to pay the pending amounts.
                  This would be either through my credit card or cheque.

                  In total I have paid 187723 Rs (One lakh eighty seven thousand seven twenty three rupees).

                  When I called up and said I am not interested for this and would like to cancel the card and recover the amount paid, they said there is no option to cancel the same as they are tied up with Indian Medical association.

                  Please help me out in recovering the below amounts I have paid:

                  About the above mentioned post dated cheques i informed to my bank for cancellation of the same after checking few frauds made by Artha posted on google by few customers.

                  I have been member of this for 2 years and have not faced this type of issue.
                  In the initial I paid amount of 3992 Rs towards renewal of my card (as I was a member since two years). Later I paid Rs[protected]+2993+3988) towards Gold membership card.
                  After paying this amount, one executive came to me saying towards closure of my account I need to pay an amount of 27999 Rs (had no other option), hence paid the same.

                  Again after few days, one of the managers called up and said there is some amount pending towards closure of account (Rs 67999), I said I would not require any benefits and would like to cancel the card. They said it is not possible and later on it went in frequent intervals. There was no option left for me apart from paying the money.

                  I was informed that I will be send account closure details and new card will be issued for the same. I could not get these. Even if I get this I would not like to go for this as the way they dealt with me is totally not accepted.
                  I was given few holiday packages vouchers, master health check up and wellness check up vouchers which I did not utilise yet.

                  Also they have got access to all my credit card and bank details.

                  RELIEF:
                  Please let me know how I can recover the amount already paid by me Rs 111738 (One lakh eleven thousand seven thirty eight rupees)

                    Dear admin, I'm not sure how this forum works. But logging this complaint expecting some help and others not to fall in ARTHA's trap.

                    I'm still in discussions with artha team..not sure whether I will get any proper response or not. Please dont share your credit card details to artha (don't authorize to debit your credit card). It will stop with one transactions..There will not be end for their transactions to debit your card. I read n number of complaints on ARTHA. But dont know why no action has been taken to stop this.

It's a fraud company.

S who was working for artha health options i was not payed my salary even months together when taught of living the company that bloody hr (Lidya) and the md (Arun kumar) of the company told that dey wud not pay my 4 months salary at last they tld me that they wud give the salary after 15 days den wen i went dey gave me a pdc check which was a bounce check these peoples are this kind of a company shud be shut down...

                      The company called me for some Health Coupon Vouchers at a total price of Rs 1994 . I accepted and provided only the card number and not the CVV number. They charged the Card for the same and to that extent was fine. Later on they again called me and said they have charged Rs 9999/- for the same product claiming that the intial amount was just registration charges . When I denied and aksed to cancel the scheme , they denied and made some story that I will be blacklisted and bla bla with a kind of threat.
                      In spite of my non acceptance they swiped my Card for additional Rs 9999/- . I do not know the legal actaion for this and how to proceed to recover . Pls see there webiste http://www.arthaoptions.com/

                        In the month of Nov, I was contacted by an agent of Artha Health and she promised me to have health check-up regular plans in nearest hospitals from my home like, Apollo, forties, Colombia Asia etc.. She mentioned that this package will cost me 2993/-. I have agreed to go ahead with this offer. The agent asked for my credit card number to block the mentioned amount and can send me the charge slip for my signature. She also mentioned that once I am happy with the proposal and sign the credit card charge slip, the money will be deducted from my card.

                        One of the agent came to my office and explained the same and took my signature on the charge slipof 2993/- and the applicaton forma saying he will fill up the details.

                        Today I received another call from a customer executive saying that they are diducting anothe 5999 towards the Gold package that I had opted which was promised for 2993/-. When I asked him that I don't want this membership and cancle the package, he bluntly said its not possible but offered to give me extra benefits and tried to convince me to go ahead with the package. After repeatedly telling him that i don't need this package he said that we will talk to his manager and ask him to call me.

                        Now after 1 hour his manager called up and said that I have to pay 45,000/- for the package and it will be directly deducted from my credit card. When i said I don't want this membership he too bluntly said that he cannot cancle and I have to pay the complete amount.

                        Please advice me on this issue as they are threatning me the pay the money.

                          Next day, I got another call from some other agent of Artha and he mentioned that he has already swiped my card for 12000/- for upgrading it to gold membership. This person was rude and just not willing to listen anything and he was talking to me almost in threatening mode. I disconnected the call and called up Artha and asked for sr manager interference. Then another lady picked up the call and listened to my grievance. She then told me that she will fix this issue. Post that I have checked that no money was deducted from my account. On the same day, I searched on net and found many similar complaints from various customers in name of Artha, which further ignited my fear of being cheated.

                          Thereafter I started chasing Artha to send me the document to verify the coverage and credit card charge slip. In between I have observed that without even I signed the charge slip the money was deducted from my credit card. I called up my bank and lodged a complaint. The bank mentioned that Artha has an authorisation to swipe the card without having any signature on the charge slip. They suggested me to negotiate with Artha and asked them to refund the money.

                          Meanwhile another person named Rahul, called me from Artha and tried to sell a holiday package worth 4999/-. I asked him to send me a mail so that I can validate and decide. I received the mail and responded to him by saying that I will revert back later in the weekend.

                          After repeated follow ups finally I received the health coupons and TWO charge slips. 1 worth 1994 and other 4999/-. Moreover I found that except 1 master check up no other regular check-ups are covered under Apollo, Forties, Colombia Asia etc..So entire selling over phone was fraudulent. I called Rahul and told him that this is breach of agreement and I will not take up this service. He apologised to me and told me that within 24hrs he will send me a written letter which will cover the mentioned hospitals for regular checks. I returned all documents with the agent along with unsigned charge slips.

                          After that I have waited almost 48 hrs without having any communications from Artha. Then I have sent a complain mail to them stating this attitude as fraudulent and demanded return of money. I reached out to my Banker also and lodged a complaint against Artha for doing Fraud on my card. My Banker has immediately blocked my card to prevent further losses and lodged an investigation against Artha. I am waiting for the outcome of that. Whatever I have stated above has happened within past 2.5 weeks only..

                          MY ONLY REQUEST TO YOU ALL THAT DO NOT SHARE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER ARTHA HEALTH OPTION.

                          I also request the consumer complain forum to help me in getting back my money and revoke credit card swiping authorisation from Artha to prevent further possibilities of occurrence of similar incidents. Let them do business based on Cash or Cheque transactions.
                          In the month of Nov, I was contacted by an agent of Artha Health and she promised me to have health check-up regular plans in nearest hospitals from my home like, Apollo, forties, Colombia Asia etc.. She mentioned that this package will cost me 2993/-. I have agreed to go ahead with this offer. The agent asked for my credit card number to block the mentioned amount and can send me the charge slip for my signature. She also mentioned that once I am happy with the proposal and sign the credit card charge slip, the money will be deducted from my card.

                          One of the agent came to my office and explained the same and took my signature on the charge slip of 2993/- and the application forma saying he will fill up the details.

                          Today I received another call from a customer executive saying that they are deducting another 5999 towards the Gold package that I had opted which was promised for 2993/-. When I asked him that I don't want this membership and cancel the package, he bluntly said it’s not possible but offered to give me extra benefits and tried to convince me to go ahead with the package. After repeatedly telling him that i don't need this package he said that we will talk to his manager and ask him to call me.

                          Now after 1 hour his manager called up and said that I have to pay 45,000/- for the package and it will be directly deducted from my credit card. When I said I don't want this membership and asked him to cancel the same, he too bluntly said that he cannot cancel and I have to pay the complete amount.

                          Please advice me on this issue as they are threatening me to pay the money.
                          pls ignore calls from artha health options as they deduct max amount from the credit card holders

                            This is Smitha Goutam from Bangalore. I am a Artha health Options member. This company deals specially in health Management Vouchers. And they had offered travel vouchers to me. I had paid 5500/- for 6 members. before paying the money, they had promised me that it would be for 2 year validity, no luxury no hidden charges, all meals included and 10 days advance booking which doesnt consider season or off season plan.

                            But now they have swipped 5500 from my account and the vouchers what i received is all false.. There is no person to respond my claims.. They are cheating customers.

                            Can anyone guide to claim back my money. I am frustrated calling them daily and there is no response from them.They themselves agree that they are cheating

                            Please understand that Artha does not cheat customers and we do not accept something what we have not done

                            If you are really not satisfied by the service please call the reception and tell them to connect to sridhar he should be in the position to address your concern he is avilable from 9.30 am till 6.30

                            In case if you think that he is also not bothered to resolve your issue which will not happen then tell the reception to connect to any one of the director and they will do it

                            We value respect and proud to serviuce the customers with delight but not against integrity

                            Hello there

                            Here is a another story of mine same like most of the people cheated and scammed. My surplus scam story started with artha like this as follows:

                            1.I bought a health package - 4500 (+ change, can't remember the exact amount)

                            2.I bought a holiday package from sterling resort - 6500 (+ change, can't remember the exact amount)

                            3.Anil (Anil Shrivastava manager from Artha) called me and asked me to pay the remaining amount 20, 000 to utilize the above holiday package. I said, no-body told me when I purchased and now why the [censored] u asking, conversation went on just like that. After some hot conversation he said, he can give me a compensation of 3 extra master health checkup vouchers + holiday package worth 3 yrs validity. I agreed and paid him 20, 000.

                            4.Now, Preethi and some one called Shruthi called me explained me that I am a platinum plus card member which is worth of 40 or 45, 000 (not sure) so please pay the remaining amount. I was totally shocked (felt like I am cheated though they have good service with master health checkup) from the beginning I dint want to pay anything, but due to some circumstance they made me pay, I had explained it to her all the above stories and she agreed Anil could have put me into this and he is absconding. What a good story to believe?

                            5. After few days, sruthi called me today and asked me to pay not the whole remaining amount but the tax for those amount which comes around 7K (+ change) so that I can use this benefit for 3 yrs and she assured I need not pay any money in future + no-one from Artha will ever call me again for anything.

                            6. I said WHY should I pay? with hot topic today, I told her, I don't wanted to pay a single penny and I want my money back.

                            Many people have called but they cant do anything and telling me to pay. Am very highly disappointed and frustrated about this. I need a solution or I need my money back. Am going to submit a written complaint to relevant authorities in a couple of week’s time. If any of Artha people wants to resolve please reply me and solve.

                              I had registered with artha health options about a couple of years ago. They wanted me to renew the same for this year. But I was not interested in out patientt services, they said they will work out a plan for only 4 master health check ups and holiday pacakges for 15500. I agrred to it signed the charge slip for the same amount. But now they are insisting on me paying Rs. 20000 more as they have registered me for some package which was not even brifed about. as I rejected to pay this, they are offering me a discount of Rs. 10000 and asking me to pay Rs. 10000 more. As I have understood that this is a fraud company I dont want to have any kind of association with them. Kindly help me to cancel the existing package and in getting the refund of Rs. 15500 which I have paid

                                Hello, i have been using the artha health options coupon for last two years. in january they called me and told they are giving gold artha health options card for 3,999 and another travel coupon for 3,999+3,999(for 5 days four nights). laer i found they have deducted 19,000 total and later on the name of master health checkup they have deducted another Rs.15,000 . when asked they are telling they have deducted it for master health coupon and travel coupon, whereas i have already paid the travel charges already. I felt like totally cheated, iam not sure how they deducted the money without my consent. I want my money back for the packages they have deducted.                                   This is one Health Services company, which boasts of such good things before selling product which do not exists in reality.

                                  I request with all Indians not to entertain Artha health options phone calls.

                                  As in my case Firstly I was a member of Artha Health Options from 2006 and all thi sfour years renewal was done with a nominal amount ranging to max Rs.4000.00. Likewsie this year a executive called me and requested for renewal against payment of Rs.3992.00 for which I agreed and authorised to debit my credit card whcih details was provided by Artha Health Options itself at this time I did not know whether the card is still existing with me or not.
                                  The next days one more executive called and requested that the first renewal amount was wrongly informed to me and teh renewal amount is Rs.7992.00 for which I has requested them to cancel my membership and ended the call.
                                  Again the next day I recived a call from the Sales Manager Mr. Sathish who really apologised for wrongly informing the renewal amount, on which I thought my membership is reversed and I am out of Artha and saved. But the call was to tell me the renewal fee is Rs.17992.00 against which a amount of Rs.7992.00 is already debited from my card wherein I had authorised Artha to debit only for Rs.3992.00 from my card and the Sales Manager requested me to authorise for another Rs.10000.00 which was due as per him. For which again I refused to authorise and requested him to cancel the whole process. The better point here is my Bank of which card is being used never informed me of any transactions.

                                  If any person or any organisation can assist me in getting my hard earned money back, I would be glad and thankful to them.
