I am writing to bring to your attention the unacceptable service I received on the 20th of March, 2025, during my bus journey from Bhanjanagar to Berhampur. I had booked my ticket online with a departure time scheduled for 4:25 AM. I arrived at the bus stand by 4:00 AM, but to my surprise, the bus had already left.

Irresponsible behaviour of Conductor

Worst experience ever in my life…I have booked my seat through busindia.com. My seat number was 04. Conductor had an argument with me that why had you booked that seat, this only belongs to conductor. Afterthat he allocated me a seat beside him. That seat was broken.
He was very rude.
Kindly take legal against about this terrifying action.

Complaining about High price

Here I'm one of the passenger from Paralakhemundi that I'm going to Rayagada today through osrtc from Paralakhemundi bus stand the distance from here to Rayagada is only 126 km so in online it's showing 185 Rs per person but they are charging 200 per Person and I gave 600 Rs for 3 person...so what's the logic behind it why they are charging that much...osrtc that's govt bus service so here we thought it will be on base fair but if they are charging like this continuously then U have to take strong action against them i[censored] will not take any action then I'll file a consumer complain about this matter on a Consumer court and I'll write a letter to Transport Authority...

The conductor of this bus forced me to sit on Seat No- 20 though seat No-16 was booked advanced online on 13th. Feb. 2022 in the name of Bishnu Prasad Mahananda.

What type of action the OSRTC is going to take up in order to restore LAW?

Always changing Bus type from AC to NON-AC

After booking tickets for AC bus they change the bus to NON-AC type and also return only Rs.50 for the degradation. It even makes it worse as of the bad condition of the buses they provide.

The Behaviour Of the Driver's, Conductor etc.
I am really upset to say why we are at this stage . Who said we are developing we are still underdeveloped by this kind of people. Why and how does they take them as a government workers'. Neither they don't know to behave and they are only for the money there . The fair they take for languages and all are so heavy and that too I don't think they go into government income. Those all side by business they do for filling up there pockets. They are so worst that they don't know how to talk with the general people and they use only abuse language that's all they know. Until this stupid people are there then how can anybody would be happy with the government.

I am complaining about not stopping of bus

I had booked two tickets through red bus app on dat. 21/03/2021 from kesinga to balangir(odisha) at 3 am. But the bus had not stopped at kesinga and before 3am it had left kesinga without any passenger got in it at kesinga. We had faced a lot of trouble. Please refund my money as soon as possible.

After booking online ticket. the bus conductor changed my bus from bus no 9714 at 9 pm to 10.15 pm bus from vizianagaram to koraput and giving Manuel ticket in another bus.

I booked two tickets through redbus, from brahmapur to bhubneswar. The bus was comes from malkangiri, 03.30 am was the brahmapur new bus stop timing.We are waiting from 3.20am but the bus not came to the bus stop.So I travel through a private bus named silksity. Kindly refund the tickets amount.

Overcrowded bus
I am currently traveling in a bus from Visakhapatnam to Malkangiri. The conductor has let in a lot of people and the bus is overcrowded.
There are more than 10 people travelling standing. some are drunk even.
In this pandemic times such an irregularity is unbelievable.
I strongly urge you to look into this matter as soon as possible.

discrepancy in maintaining policy

I am a passenger of OSRTC AC bus running from Jharsuguda to Jeypore. On the course of its journey, many passengers are allowed to board the bus who don't have a ticket booked in the said bus. Boarding of short distance passengers in such long route bus and that too at night can be a potential threat to the safety of the passengers on board. It even develops an awkward ambience for the female passengers travelling. Also it can be a cause of thievery of luggages and other valuable items. Therefore, the matter must be taken seriously and such practice should be immediately checked for the overall safety of people. Awaiting for a positive and serious response.

I am subhakanta behera one of the passangers of osrtc on 31/12/2018. I was travelling from berhampur to chitrakonda on 31/12/2018. I had made online ticket. The pnr no. Of the ticket is[protected], and trip code bam26 departure time was 9 p. M.
But unfortunately the said bus is out of order at koraput due to some engine problem. So i had to get down from the bus. I requested the conductor to refund my rest...

Kolkata to bbsr bus

We came in kolkata to bbsr OSRTC bus yesterday.we satisfied the bus but which hotel the bus stay for the fooding in the night that hotel rate is very costly which rates are same as luxurious ac family restaurant but that just a cheap dhaba.In that place just one is available they is no other option to going to that hotel.which peoples know about that hotel they are not going to that place.so please change that hotel for comfortable journey.

I have booked an online ticket on dated 24th october 2300 hous on osrtc bus having trip code no SVZ09R WITH PNR NO 02686630 from kopraput to to visakhapatnam but to boarded at sunabeda(NAC). The person at korapu bus counter has not responded perfectly for which the person has failed to board on the bus.so please take necessary action about this

cheating by taking more money
Actually I am a passenger of keonjhor bolangir bus. Bus no- od09b 5135.whenever i had a journey i had paid more money. Ticket cost is Rs.219 to bargarh & Rs.234 to barpali but they took Rs.230 & Rs.240 for respective places in up & dn journey both. So govt. Should take some action against it. My last journey was on dt.16/4/15 up & 26/4/15 dn. Bus conductots are cheating us daily. So some surprise checking should ne done by viigellence department. & should take live feed back in the bus. If any body is cheated. I want to request the senior authorities to take action against such conductor or i will put it in news paper. Thank u. Expecting for good result & i may appriciate in my next visit.what they are writing on the ticket l could not able to read it was not clear.

Traveled Through OSRTC from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata :- Puri- Bhubaneswar AC Sleeper
I have purchased a ticket for me & my wife From OSRTC ticket counter Bhubaneswar (Barmunda Bus Stand) From Bhubaneswar to Kolkata for AC Sleeper vide ticked code number [protected] & serial number 46258 & 46259.The ticket Issued date is 26/09/2009 and the Journey date is 04/10/09.I have allotted the seat number 5x & 6x.
On 4th October i came to Barmunda Bus stand with my wife for my travel there Vehicle Number OR-02-AQ-6047 was there fro the trip to Kolkata. I get in to the Bus. There i saw the seat number 5 is totally wet due to water leakage. I have informed to at the ticked counter. There i got a reply the we cant do any thing. Pls inform at Enquiry. I have done the same. But the gentle men replied i can't do any thing. Then again i came to the ticket counter again requested to them to do some alternate that i have to travel over night. There they told that you get in to the bus we will arrange some alternate.
As per the Counter person i get in to the Bus. There the Conductor Mr. Suresh Kumar Sahu came i have informed to him about the Wet seat. He rudely & in a bad manner replied that if the seat is wet then what can i do why u get in to the Bus. You get down from the Bus. You should take the money refund from the ticket counter. I have requested him to arrange an alternative way. He used abused words & bad languages to me. Then i told him i will complain against you (Conductor) he replied in bad language that do what u can do no one can take any action from my office. And also told in Government organization no one will take action. I have traveled in the Wet seat up to kolkata. After that i have faced high feaver.
At the same time The AC was out of order. All the passenger have traveled with out AC. The Bus conductor has refunded Rs 50/-(Rupees fifty only) Per ticked per Passenger against the ticket (the conductor has taken back the ticket & gave refunded the money) due to Non working of AC. I also claimed the refund money from the Conductor but he replied badly that "you are going to complain against me" so you complain against me & go to the place where you have booked the ticket. You have not purchased the ticket from me then how can i refund the money. I have objected him & told that every one has not purchased the ticket from you then how come you refunded the money. In the reply he told that that upon me to whom i will refund & to whom not to refund.
I got a great bad experience on the OSRTC Bus service. And i decided that this journey in OSRTC is my last Journey
I request you to take serious action on the same. And also guide me for getting back the amount (For not working of AC)

Recently I booked a E-ticket from Bhubaneswar to Jeypure to journey on i.e. 18/10/2010 at about 6.15 pm. When I required about the AC, the staffs response was - "AC is damaged". (What is the meaning ?)
As passanger we pay more money to travel comfortly in a dust free environment. Otherwise we can book ticket in Private non-AC bus / Hitech bus of OSRTC.
It is a matter of great regret that my bus delay for more than 6 hours (Actually from 6.15 pm, bhubaneswar - 6.00AM, Jeypore) due to breakdown of A/c Bus for more than 3 times in the way.
You further be more astonised that the email ID of OSRTC not functioning. That is - [protected]@orissa.nic.in. If anyone will mail the response is no such ID exist.
Actually AC in OSRTC is a farse / false. If OSRTC really wants to provide passanger service he should withheld AC from the Bus service.

There should be some sort of action which one can take against these Govt. Bus Service Provider.
If one is traveling in a Bus and obviously the person is not going to come back to the counter and made a complain against these stupid conductors who thought that no one can do any harm to them. In my view the Govt should appoint one independent body in respect to all the Transport related problems as the Gentleman faces it with...

The seat I booked is Inaccessible as the seat in front is damaged.This is night journey and I am travelling alone.I requested for a change in seat but was denied as it was already time for the bus to leave.I am helpless and have to travel in such inconvenience as this is the last service of the day.
This is highly unprofessional and not expected of an organisation like OSRTC towards single female passenger.
I expect a timely response so that other passengers, especially ladies choosing to travel by OSRTC do not face inconvenience.
