I HAVE BOOKED 1 RAILWAY TICKET ON[protected], FOR TRAVELLING ON[protected], PNR - [protected] , BUT IT IS VERY STRANGE THAT TILL DATE[protected] WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE TICKET. NOW WHEN EVER WE CONTACT YOUR GOOD SELVES ( OVER NIGHT COURIER) AT NARAINA BRANCH , FOR REFUND ,THEY DON'T GIVE CORRECT PICTURE & HARASSING ME, THEY DON'T GIVE CORRECT PICTURE. PLEASE HELP ME IN GETTING MY REFUND.

I had booked tickets from Tuticorin to Bangalore on 5.04.2012 . But the railways had debited a sum of Rs. 182/- plus Rs.10
twice on 31.03.2012 at 13.36 hrs and 13.38 hrs. I want the refund from the railways.

please note in our raiganj (Uttar dinajpur) railway ticket
counter some broker has taking the responseablity to sale the tatkal
ticket with high brokarage which is fully illigal. Some time they are
found inside the counter. That is why we are not getting the ticket
properly because total tickets are only distributed to the broker. may
be some officer are involbed with this. We have...

I booked a railway ticket (PNR No. [protected]) to travel from Kharagpur to Puri through IRCTC website. The ticket was confirmed for five passengers. However, on the date of journey, I came to know that this is a fake ticket. As informed by the Kharagpur station manager, this train is not coming to Kharagpur for last 4 or 5 months approx. i had booked my father's ticket through net from nagpur to mumbai in the train samarsata exp. the train no is 2152. now as the train is late i am not boarding it and when i tried to cancel my eticket again through net it dint allow me as the chart was prepared. so plz cancel my ticket and refund the same amount in my account. plz make it fast. i would really be thankful for your cooperation.

Railway — cancellation of e ticket
dear sirplease cancel my ticket PNR No. [protected], date of journey 11th september, 2009 by Kovai Express from Erode to Chennai Central by Seat No. C1/55 AC Chair Car. I could not cancel the ticket as chart was prepared as i was held up on official duty. therefore, pl cancel and credit the proceeds to my account with SBI through which account eticket was booked.

Refund of cancelled railway ticket booked online

Against TC of Intercity Train from Surat to Bandra

This is in regards to the above subject, to which I have faced today while traveling from Surat to Borivali by Train – Intercity – 2936 with my colleague Mr.Shajan Poulose. Our details are as below –

Date of Journey – 15th July 2010.
Date of Booking – 8th July 2010
Status – Confirmed – C2 - Seat No. 66 and 67.
We had visited our factory today morning by Intercity and had booked ticket for return journey to Mumbai by Intercity from Surat to Borivali, but due to some delay in official work we were late to reach to the Surat Station and had to catch the train in running condition and due to which we boarded very last compartment of the train. Since we were late we could not know the position of the compartment i.e C2 we were late to reach up to our compartment. By the time we reach the compartment the train was nearing to Navsari Station, we reached the compartment and had seat as per our reservation.
Train left the Navsari station and was about to reach Valsad, where the TC came and asked for the Ticket , we showed him the ticket but he said since we were late he has sold off the ticket to some other couple (Name – Mr.Muztafa ) who were sitting just near to our seat on the other seat. TC took me out of the train and said you will have to wait outside the AC compartment once any sit is vacant you can go and sit there but you will have to pay for it because it is your fault that you have come to your seat late and he went off. I immediately came inside the train and sat on my own seat only and the train started from Valsad Station.
The couple to whom he had given our seat, now got up from there seat which was already booked from Valsad for some another passenger and started telling us to get up from the seat as TC had sold off our seat to this couple. We refused to do so and therefore they went and called TC. Who really abused us like anything and also threaten us to throw out of the train by catching our collar. This TC was accompanied by some other 4-5 passengers who were with him , may be they were his chamchas who were traveling without any proper ticket and just paying him the money to get the seat. Whole of the passenger inside the train were looking at us but no one helped us as they were also afraid of them.
Finally we had to get up from our seat and stand out side the AC compartment in the train. He also was threatening us to call Police , on which we strongly told him to do atonce so that we can atleast tell our problem to Police, but he never called and instead caught my collar and waked me up from the seat by taking away my E-ticket from my hand. He also threaten us that better you listen to us or I will issue a memo and you will be put to jail in the railway police for a weeks time for breaking the railway rules. We had to travel up to Virar without the Seat although we had our proper confirmed railway ticket.
He was suddenly very polite with us, after some time as he might have come to understand that we might register a complaint at the Borivali Railway station after getting down from the train, we said this to other passenger and he might have come to understand about this. He was trying to offer us seat which was vacant by the time Virar came , but my friend had to get down at Virar as he is staying in Nalasopara.
We have also seen that this TC was carrying a huge money in his pocket , which he might have earned by selling off the vacant ticket on which passenger might have not come. While standing in the corridor of AC compartment we came across of the other passenger who also had complaint against him and also said that all this TC who are in Intercity have started a business of selling off the tickets where passengers are not come or might have missed there train due to some reason.
TC told us that he has allocated our seat to the couple as they were in the waiting least i.e 1 and 2, but we had seen that they were having the E-ticket which automatically gets cancelled if it is in waiting till the chart is prepared . Also if he had allocated have to submitted the money to the railway authority ???
This is our humble request that please please enquire about this matter on your level because we being a service class people could not lodge a complaint at the Railway police station as next day we have to go to the office for our routine work and cannot afford to take leave from the office and keep running at the court and police station.
What was our fault ?? the only fault was that we could not reach the compartment with in time, but they could have atleast waiting till the Navsari Station to sell of the ticket illegally.
We poor people are not in a position to oppose this type of rude railway staff and pen or email is only and only way for us to oppose them.
Hoping to hear from you very soon on the above matter and will request to please please do something in this matter. I have also copied this to Indian Consumer Complaints Forum. But before they do something would request you to please act from your side.

Showing Train departure time 9:40am as per Railway list but when ticket booked departure time showing 23:00 on the ticket

Dear Sir,
I booked a ticket by OneStopShop Software through IRCTC/Railwayticketonline.com site when I looked in the time shedule of the train no.0424/ANVR DBG Spl departure time is at 9:40 am from Anandvihar Term. But when booked the ticket by vide Request No.RBR9871275, PNR No.[protected] on dated 07.04.2010 and the date of journey is on 13.05.2010, there is showing the departure time is 23:00.
Then this is not my falt...

Railway Ticket — Wrong Ticket issued
Dear Sir,We were a group of 15 travelling to Kerala which included 4 kids.
We have been very organised in the way ticketing was done as we booked exactly 90 days before both ways. The tickets to kerala were booked on the net we got comaprtments very far away so the next time i thought i would go personally to the reservation office at Goregaon Station in Mumbai (PLAGUED by AGENTS it was sick) to do a better job
Our travel dates were 25th december 2009 to kerala by Garib Rath from Mumbai to Kottayam. 2 Adults and 1 kid travelled a day before and were to join us in kottayam.
and 30th December 2009 from Ernakulam to Mumbai by Netravati Express. Tickets for 2 adults and 1 kid were done by them as it was diffiult to do all tickets as we did not know anything about group bookings neither do you highlight it anywhere.
I got two tickets booked in the same compartment different seat numbers all together. i was very excited about this but alas i had not checked the date on the 2nd ticket it was for 1 month earlier.
In all our excitement of the holiday, of being together looking for a good time we missed this one error done by the booking clerk.
Unfortunately we realised this only a day before we did not want to break the rules so we split the group the five o[censored]s quitely went back to kottayam and now half of the group travelled by train we had to buy expensive Plane tickets and come back to mumbai
The single error by an uncompetent clerk in the goregaon reservation counter has costed me close to Rs.50,000/- plus mental agony and a total mess of a well planned holiday.
How do i go on with pursuing this matter? What should i do? How do i get compensated for all this financial loss and agony?
How can Indian railways compete a eurail or british railways.
