Today's (9 mar 2019; 10:30 am - 1:30 pm) 2nd language kannada examination of cbse 10th std has approximately 20 marks which are out of syllabus. We request the central board of secondary education to kindly look through this kannada paper set 4 and take proper necessary action by providing grace marks or conducting re-examination.

I would expect a speedy reply from the board as the students as well as parents are anxious about the paper.

Thank you...

    Respected sir/madam,
Students have been working really hard for the kannada exam that was appearing on 9 march 2019 but were really disappointed when the paper provedto be out of syllabus.
*set 4* to be specific had 17-24 marks that was not present in the syllabus provided. It was not only section d that had this problem, whereas the grammar questions too contained few questions that were unfamiliar to the students.
So, we thereby request you to take appropriate actions and apply for a re-exam or provide grace marks for these questions since it is very unfair to the obes who studied day and night for the test.
    Thank you. Please cooperate.

Well, it's not just Section D that was different in kannada paper of March 9 2019. But also, the grammar questions were not familiar to us. The students were horribly terrified by the literature questions that they baffled up while answering the essay, grammar, letter etc. I bet everyone agrees with this. Students started breaking down in the exam hall with fear and anxiety. Justice must be given not just by grace marks for section D but also for the rest paper or re examination seems a better option because the ones that didn't study AT ALL may get equal grades to that of the better performers.
No offense. This is not just my (a student's) opinion but it's the voice of those students who worked hard and get equal grades to that of the ones who got grace marks.

Very disappointed in the way cbse has set the kannada paper (Disgraced tbh). Total carelessness in setting the paper according to last year's text book. Now suppose grace marks are given, how many will you give?? (What about grammar since it is relative to the chapters). The last thing you can do now is to justify yourselves for this blunder. Options also have been entirely denied in literature?? How would you compensate?? You have given a day holiday for the regional language of karnataka while an entire year is not enough for you to realise that the text book has been changed. Respond fast before the state media would be highlighting the issue tomorrow. And please do not "ignore" the effort that has been put in by each student when he barely has questions to answer in the question paper (You have absolutely wasted one's time while other language students are busy studying for science exam in the state). If you are compensating, the entire literature section should be considered for grace marks at the least. And another concern of mine is why has the date not been mentioned in any of the question papers?? The kannada question paper just says set 4 (Probably taken out from last year's bundle). It seems as though you have ignored a regional language.

          Cbse members,
The kannada exam for class x (Cbse) held on 9.3.2019 was the one of the papers with most questions (21) out of syllabus. The questions asked for 21 marks were not present in the text book prescribed for the current academic year 2019. How can an organisation like cbse make such grave mistakes is beyond our understating. Children were totally confused and were tensed in the exam hall, as they did not know what needs to be done. Children should not suffer and grace marks (21 marks) should be given to the children while correcting. Totally disappointed with the way cbse is conducting class x exams. Math should not be the first paper faced by the children as most children were tensed and have wasted a lot of time getting used to the paper.

            Dear sir/madam,

My kid has written kannada paper as second language today from karnataka state.

We are extremely disappointed to see that the paper was more out of syllabus than from the syllabus.

            1. More than 23 marks have come from out of syllabus in literature alone.

            2. Also the choice questions were out of syllabus. Which means none of the cbse claimed choices to provide option for kids were met. Causing the damage to more than 35 marks.

            3. Even the grammer questions were provided from the old syllabus.

It just seemed like some old syllabus paper was picked without even reviewing to cbse prescribed syllabus. It seems like nobody reviewed this paper

Kids are extremely worried and are under pressure. Especially during the exam where they are not having any information.

Request you to urgently look in to this matter and provide solution to suffering kids who have put in a while year effort to do well. Quick response would help to them to focus on next papers

              Sir
I am complaining about the maths examination of class 10 cbse held on 7 3 19. Set 1 section d contained questions extremely tough. But set 2 and 3 were relatively easy when compared with set 1.
Your method of giving one set of tough questions and other sets of easy questions had affected and demoralised the children and their parents. So kindly consider this aspect in evaluation
              Thanking you

Yes, this is very discouraging. Students get disheartened and gets scared and this could have impacted on their overall performance of this paper. Students worst nightmare. Request the CBSE board to do the right justice to all the students who have opted for this subject and worked hard to achieve better results.

The different sets of question papers were unfair. Set 1 question paper cannotbe compare with other 2 sets. It was tougher than the other 2 sets. Grading for questions from same chapter also not fair. As it affected for few students, those who get set 1 are disappointed and this will affect their remaining exams and their grades. This is totally unacceptable and un exoected from such a big educational system. Kindly consider the children who got set 1 question paper. Take an expert opinion. Hope they will do something and will not repeat such mistajes in future.

We are extremely sad about the mathematics board paper of 2019 as there were 3 sets consisting of different questions. Is this the way how cbse meaures a student's intelligence?
What you did is injustice to the students.
The cbse board either has to give us grace marks or conduct a re-exam with same questions for all the sets with jumbled questions.

Hope by now you must be aware of how cbse has done injustice with the students of class 10 (Maths board exam). From beginning of the year students are working hard to get good percentage and parents are spending a lot on their education. But at end a big loop hole in the examination pattern, where both students and parents are feeling helpless, clueless and morally down.
Cbse might decide to give grace marks to those who had attempted but most students could not even attempt it out out tension and fear then how you are going to do justice...

So many students, including myself were presented with the very much unfair set 1 question paper. I was totally devestated by the end. The questions were comparitively lengthier and more time consuming. Q24 and 28 were out of syllabus. Many of the questions were more time consuming, leading to some of my friends not being able to complete the paper. Add those out of syllabus questions into the mix and the paper ends up being much tougher than set 2 or 3.

This is an unfair practice, especially for 10th standard students who were attending the board exams for the first time. You've literally made your board exams into a lottery ticket. You've given a new meaning to the phrase, "best of luck for your exams".

Please, sir. Look into this issue and award grace marks to the students that had to attend the tougher question papers. This was a highly demoralising experience.

Cbse should not have given different math exam sets with different difficulty levels and time requirements to young students of xth std who are appearing first time for boards. It has created fear and uneasiness among students for other upcoming exams. Matters like paper leak are to be solved by cbse only and students who are studying hard should not be disturbed like this. Even a 4 mark tougher ques in a set can deviate their hopes and expectations to get desired percentage.

I am sonal kumar and i want to say that i have never got less than 79 marks out of80 in the school exam but in board exam which was held on 7th march i feel that i got only 68 marks.
This problem was created by you. You have given a hard trigonometry question in set 1 and also the teachers in the examination hall have lost my costly 15 minutes.
I have a request that please take the maths exam agaain or give me marks 75 out of 80 so that i will complete my parents dream.
And 15 minutes are given extra so that signature and fullfil of name and another material are complete.

I am really sorry to say that cbse board has done a unfair practice in the maths examination held at 7.03.19 for class 10. I am a student of cbse board and i am from assam. The set 1 paper jms/4 code n. O -30/4/1 was very tough while others were easy enough. It consisted of questions out of text which was specially section d.
                                  Waiting for a fruitful response

This is the utmost discrimination to the students who attend the examination after the one year effort. Are they examine the Luck factor of the students? Those who get the SET-3 is very luckier students. Is such discrimination is against the constitutional equality of the candidates?

                                    Dear cbse officials,
With utmost respect, i as an average student in mathematics have aways given my best to this subject and i feel everybody does the same and tries to give the best possible justice to it. Everybody gets the same books, same number of days to prepare, and competes at the same level too. So don't we deserve the same level of question paper too? It's an amazing step to prepare different sets to curb cheating but at least prepare it of the same level. Set 1 was way more difficult than the other two sets. It had more tricky questions of 4 marks and choice was not provided in difficult and tricky questions at all. Whilst set 2 and 3 had comparatively easier questions. This is not only biased for people who are below average but also it creates a feeling of deep grief and depression inside the child. It's an ardent request to kindly give at least 5-6 grace marks for the children who attempted set 1.
                                    Thanks.

                                      Honourable cbse members,

The maths board exam of class 10th, held on 7th march, 2019, had different levels of sets. The set-1 was the toughest of the three and a few questions were out of syllabus. Question number 24th was from 11th class's syllabus. Set-2 and 3 were comparatively a lot easier. Set-1 had comparativelycomplex calculations and was lengthier than the other sets. Students who had the other two set completed the paper almost 30 minutes prior to the full time. Board examination should be equal and fair for everyone, and should be of the same level of all students. We request you for linient checking and grace marks for question number 24 and 29, of set-1 papers.
Highest respect to cbse, and all officials, but this "discrimination to set-1 students" is not fair and does not provide for a common platform to all students.
                                      .
Hoping for a suitable action in the favor of the affected students.

                                        Sir/madam,
It is highly disappointing and unfair that the students who had to attend question paper with code no.30/4/1, series jms/4, set 1 was given out of text questions and hots model questions.

Specially question number 24 and 28 are pretty hard for almost everyone.

I was not expecting such discrimination.

Now what will happen to our results.
Please take appropriate marking action please.
