I have shifted by house from Perundurai to Coimbatore on[protected] with the help of Chennai Packer and mover. They informed that things will reach us on the next day morning. But after 3 days still it is not reached. The manager([protected]) is not attending the telephone calls. The other person incharge ([protected]) is also not responding. Now i am struggling with 9 months old child without dress, food, etc.,

I am writing this with regard to my horrible experience I had with CHENNAI MOVERS & PACKERS. I reside in Chennai and I was to move to US on a deputation for 2 years. This was the first chance I got to travel abroad in my 10 years of career and was very excited about it. In this regard I wanted to move all a few of my house hold articles (TV, Sofa (3+2), Cot and other house hold items) to my home town in Kollam, Kerala.
So, I called up Chennai Movers & Packers on the 25th of October’11 to inquire about the details (duration, cost etc). At that time a lady (Ms./Mrs. Sumathi ) answered the call, I specifically told her that I am available on Kollam only for two days (12 &13 November’11) after which I am going to US, I told them to take the order only if they can deliver the items in any of the mentioned two days. Initially the lady was very polite and told that “Sir this is only October and you want this to delivered only on the 12&13 of November, it only two day for the things to be sent from Chennai to Kollam” and asked me to call on the 5th of November to book the parcel. I was little concerned if they miss the dates 12th & 13th then I will be in trouble, so I insisted that they pick up the parcel earlier. Then I was asked to call on the 4th of November’11 and confirm the booking. As said I called on the 4th of November and booked for the consignment to be delivered on the 12th or 13th of November. I re insisted that this should be delivered in the dates mentioned and again I got the same dialog form Ms./Mrs. Sumathi, “Sir, we just need two days to be delivered and you are sending 7 days in advance so it 100% sure that the things will be delivered on the 12th itself”. I said OK and they quoted me 12K initially then came down to 8.5K.

As booked the pickup Van came to my house in Chennai on Monday, 7th November’11 at around 8.00 Am and packed up and loaded all the things that was meant to be sent to Kollam. I billed me 8.5K in full and I made the payment by cash and confirmed with the pickup person will it be delivered on the 12th or 13th of November’11 and he said will be delivered for sure. After the pickup van left my house, I called up the Chennai Movers and Packers Office and told them that their people have picked the items and reminded them that I am available in Kollam only on the 12th and 13th of November and I want it to be delivered on the specific dates as promised, Ms./Mrs. Sumathi again told me “Sir there is five days in between so do not worry and will be there as promised. I was happy about the commitment given to me by Ms./Mrs. Sumathi. From then on I used to call their office every day and each day Ms./Mrs. Sumathi answers the call and informs me that no worries the delivery of the goods is on time. Finally, Friday, 11th November came and I boarded the train from Chennai to Kollam, before taking the train I called their office again and Ms./Mrs. Sumathi told me “tomorrow your items will be there for sure”, I said thank you and started my Journey.

I reached Kollam on 12th November morning and at around 11.30 I called Chennai Movers and Packers to tell them that I reached Kollam and waiting for the packages to be delivered, again Ms./Mrs. Sumathi answered my call and to my God’s surprise this is what I heard from Ms./Mrs. Sumathi “Sorry sir, things will not be delivered today” and asked when It will be delivered the answer was “theriyathu sir (in Tamil), which means I don’t know”. After so much follow-up and conformation till the last minute and now they say they dint know when it will be delivered. I was shocked by the answer given by Ms./Mrs. Sumathi and told her I wanted to speak to their manager. I ended up speaking to one Mr. Balaji claiming to be the manager and if that is the truth believe me he should be the worst manager I came across in my life. His answer was so rude say “We don’t know and we never committed the time and this is not a full package and we cannot give a date when this will come to your place. I ran through all the history and told him I need it tomorrow what so ever. I hung the phone on me just by saying “we don’t know”. I need to leave Kollam back to Chennai for my trip to US. Was completely in a helpless situation. On Sunday, Mr. Balaji called me and told “Sir, you things will be delivered on Monday (the next day) maximum by 10.00PM. I though, OK happened is happened and will wait and collect the items and the leave to Chennai by flight on Tuesday. Waited the whole day on Monday nothing happened I called them and told this is not happening, Ms./Mrs. Sumathi told me I am sorry I will get it on Friday, 18th November, I am in a helpless situation so I said OK and arranged my neighbors maid to stay at my to collect the things and paid her Rs. 150 per day for that . Same result the things did not come on Friday, 18th Nov and they gave me excuses. Finally said will give it the next Wednesday, on the 22nd of November. In the meantime the servant maid said she cannot stay any longer. Just to collect the things I had to send my dad who is a chronic heart patient to Kollam and stay there for a week. Finally the things came in today 28th November after all the hassles; my trip to US was postponed to December because of this and now in a situation if that would be confirmed.

So summary, goods that were promised to be deliver in 2 day took 21 days, close to 100 phone calls, abusive languages on the phone, pay my servant maid for 10 days, travel charges for my sick dad and on top of this one of the glass item (TV Stand) that was deliver was broken in to pieces. Couple of incidents that added to my frustration and forced me put this complaint is that one, when I informed Ms./Mrs. Sumathi that I am fed up and going to complain in consumer forum, she casually said please go ahead and do what you can. Secondly, on an instance she kept me on hold to follow-up on the package to someone else in the office and that person is advising Ms./Mrs. Sumathi, why answer the call and Ms./Mrs. Sumathi replying to him “Sir, he is calling to the land line so I don’t know who was calling, if it was mobile phone I would have cut the call” please understand the attitude of the people working there. In short CHENNAI MOVERS AND PACKERS are just a bunch of liars who just give importance to money and not the service promised and top of that there careless attitude towards customer as if they don’t care what ever the problem the customer faces they will go by their wish and will.
In case someone is planning to relocate or use the services of packers and movers please DO NOT consider CHENNAI MOVERS AND PACKER they are just liars who focus only on your money and nothing else. My receipt no is 1449 and consignment booking number is 3255.

The worst and most un-professional service.
Please don't even approach them. They will take the full amount in advance and least bothered of the properties you bought with your hard earned money.
I shifted from Chennai to Bangalore on 30th of Oct 2011.Paid Rs 14000 in advance as they told without paying full amount they will not take the truck.
In past i shifted times and all 5 times with less known vendors like RBK logistics in Madurai, Balaji Packers and movers in Chennai, Leo Packers and movers in Bangalore etc but got a good service.
This beggers are big cheats making money by lot of fraudulent promises and not worried as if it belongs to their father's property.
One Mr. Balaji "the so called Manager" is good for nothing and unfit for a professional company (of course they are not) as he has to grow up to learn how to behave with a customer.
I was so shocked to see the entire consignment got drenched in rain including my valuable electronic items.Though it was a dedicated truck the driver agreed they accommodated one more consignment in this truck.
Now I am planning to move to consumer court to raise the issue.
Never opt for Chennai Packers and movers i[censored] can read this review before getting trapped.

I shifted my house hold items from chennai to madurai.I contacted a lady name Chitra.She explained that for individual vehicles they charging Rs 13,000,deliver by 12 hrs.And For sharing concept they charge Rs 10,000 and deliver by 48 hrs.By that deal i accepted for Individual concept and paid 13,000 in one time payment. And my house hold materials was vacated and despatched from in chennai house on 01.10.2011 by 7.00PM.And promised to be delivered on 02.10.2011 by 10.00AM. But when i was calling by 02.10.2011 they told they will be delivering by evening. after a greater & greater struggle i recieved only on 04.10.2011 by night 8.00 PM.When i saw the delivery i found they followed sharing concept.Here by i had attached the photos.By same they separated the sharing material in Madurai BYE-Pass Road Near Garbage.Between I Had made around 150 Calls to various Managers of chennai movers & Packers There Name follows Not even a single person give response Other than a customer as A human being very patiently i called more than 150 Calls they didnt even say where my materials available. My great recommendation is kindly dont go towards Chennai movers & packers.I here by i had enclosed the managers name before booking kindly confirm it.

POOR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER ABUSE

Have made a order via consignment No 2394 ( booked on 26 Aug 2011 )for the shipment of twowheeler vehicle from chennai to pune. Logistics promised to deliver it in 5 days max but the same was not delivered till 22 Sept 2011.

I spoke to the following persons ... Pathetic ..No response other than harsh words.

but the way they spoke to me was completely unethical and threatening ..They said today only they may try to ship it and may get delivered next week ( very harshly )......Don't know their service motto inspite of getting full money before shipment ... These people may accidently pick up the call after several telephone follow ups .... Pathetic service ... need solution to my problem and this problem should not be faced by other customers.

Already 2 -3 compliants raised by other customer earlier mentioning the same person mobile nos and i think no action taken thats why today i got a hit and tommorrow somebody will.

Last week I had shifted my residence within Chennai through Chennai Packers and Movers. It was a horrible experience. Nothing worked out well.

1. They do a lot of sub contracting, though they quote a premium to do domestic transfer, the sub contractors they hire are worth only for Rs.1000. Hiriing a local guy for transport can be done by ourself and we don't need a professional to do this service.

2. They give only 15 small card board type boxes, inspite of repeatedly mentioning that I had a large number of goods to transport, they send only 15 boxes to transit. We will have to bear the excess cost for the additional boxes and above all they don't bring any additional boxed with them, I had to go inbetween and get it for them.

3. When I called up and enquired that they didn't inform me upfront about the 15 boxes concept, the customer interfacing person was really rude while talking and I had to repent for my mistake in engaging these buggers.

4. The people employed for transporting the goods handled it very badly. There were lots of scratches on my cot and they damaged a portion of the cot while shifting, my fridge had numerous dents on its side, the have broken one nice glass bowl (imported from Italy), photo frames were damaged, the packaging and shifting was done with utmost bruteness and they didn't care a damn to shift it properly.

5. They started demanding more money firstly for lunch, they brought 5 people and were told to provide Rs.300 for the lunch and later on after completing the shifting they demanded for 500 more (Rs.100 to each person). They were totally unethical and they were very rude in their behavious when I declined to offer them any extra(though initially I paid them Rs.300). Finally I had to pay them another Rs.250 to get rid of them. Such a nasty unprofessional crowd.

6. They took more than 8 hours to move my goods within Chennai City and the distance was only 5 KMs. They took lots of breaks in between and had enough coffee and snacks break, though I starved the whole day for them to complete the work.



Please please don't engage Chennai Packers and Movers if you are shifting your residence, you will have a very tough time dealing with the folks and you will not get your money's worth for the service you get from them.

Have booked a full van of 73 boxes with Chennai Packers and Movers under the booking number of 1720. They had come with all the required items like carton boxes, wrappers etc on Thursday the 23rd of June 2011. They had completed the packing and said that the consignment will be delivered by Next day, worst case. We have been waiting for the consignment till Sunday 26th of June 2011 but still there is no delivery which has been done. After escalating for about 8 hours continuously, we came to know that the truck with our luggage, did not start till about 25th of June 2011 and it has just left chennai. For chennai to bangalore travel by road in general takes about 6-7 hours but in case of transport we can even expect a 12-14 hrs if its a big vehicle. But this is a DCM type which should not take more than 15hrs. They have charged over the regular price and the behavior was also not polite. Its shocking to learn that there are still people who are behaving in a different way to people who are not from their language. I will definitely make sure that this company gets its reviews properly and request your help to look into this matter. I am ready to provide more details on request.

I have sent one diwan thru chennai packers 45 days from hyderabad to pudukkottai. They charged Rs.3000/- for the same. Company person Purushotam mentioned that the same will be delivered in 3 days time, but till date it has not reached.

After making so many calls and followup, they informed that the diwan is in bangalore and will be delivered with in 2 days.

Today after 45 days i was able to speak with vijayakumar who informed that he is the owner of this company. He promised that the same will be delivered with in 2 days. I have to wait and see whether the owner keeps his promise.

My suggestion to all is not to use chennai packers and movers as they are not in responding back to customer calls and they don't know what is customer service.

Kindly let me know how i can proceed legally thru consumer court.

I chose Chennai packers& movers to deliver my bike from madurai to bangalore. I got an assurance that the bike will be delivered in 3 working days. Its been more than a week since the bike was sent to them (31,May 2011 ). On inquiring I do not get a correct response from them. Chennai being the headquarters are responsible for other branches, but when contacted the way they spoke was very irritating and do not take up the responsibility. A very irresponsible company for such a responsible job. When asked about details, a lady in the corp informed us that the bike was sent for delivery yesterday(5 june 2011) a week later. The bill does not contain any sort of tracking number or even the contents of the delivery. Being the owner of the goods, I think it is the sole responsibility of the packers to provide due information about the delivery or transition details.

I would not recommend these packers to any other people in need in future. Can you please in case provide any suggestions to take to get a proper response from them.

I have transported my bike to pune from Kolathur (chennai)through "CHENNAI PACKERS & MOVERS". They have packed bike Key & complete bike infront of me, i kept my documents under seat. After reaching pune, My friend went there to take the bike. They said vehicle key is not there. Pune dealer is saying thet vehicle reached there with out packaging & bike documents which i kept under the seat also they received in cover.
There are white markings also on the fuelt ank. petrol was there when i sent the vehicle.Now petrol is not there & they removed the fuel pipe also.

Because of losing the key my bike was satying in pune dealers for 15 days. i had to send the duplicate key from here & then collect my bike.
My frined tried to add petrol & bring bike he found that fuel pipe line is removed all the petrol poured is lost.


Such a bad packers & movers i havent seen till now, unknowingly on the time i sent my bike, we have shifted our house from hyderabad to chennai through this same packers. THey have brought one of our cot with out one leg.


When ever i went for enquiry also their response is so bad. Every one studying this dont ever use "PACKER & MOVERS"

I am K.Suresh bro of the consumer , as my brother have transferred to tutucorin he shifted from Chennai to tutucorin and he called up Chennai. Packers and movers to shift the household items which was taken by them on 27.05.2011 with there executive Mr.madu we made the payment by cash of Rs 10000:- recipt no 2589/ dated 27/05/11 they said by maximum Tuesday the consignment will be delivered but after 100 calls we could not able to trace where is. Our things the consignment no is 1325/ dated 27/05/11. I hereby request all not to transfer the good. By Chennai Packers & movers and I have issue a police complaint and filed a case for the. metal agonies given by the staffs . My number is [protected]

As i got job in my native,I have opt to shift my house holdings from chennai to coimbatore,These Cheaters
said for separate load it will take 13000 and i have paid that amount,They said they will deliver all the items within 2 days as it is a separate load and after two days they came with the items,but my bike and the computer table was missing,we called to that munirathnam(cheater) who came to give the estimate,he said as truck was got break down(lie), bike and compt table alone will come on next day.we argued to give the money back (for separate loading)but nothing is worked, we got the bike and compt table in terrible condition,highly damaged after 2 weekstime.mean while for these two weeks we called the packers they will say the vehicle have started and will reach today evening(lie).No one will respond you if you call them and some times they will disconnect the call and too we directly went to their office and took the bike,They didnt deliver the bike as they dont have persons to load from there. so please dont opt for this packers
there are so many problem i have not mentioned in this.

don't ever approach this packers . these people are big liars.i have sent my friends properties to kerala .they told me it will get there by 2 days, when ever i called them , theyt used to assure me that items will be deliverd by 2 days . now 2 months are over. but i still got the same assurance from them , since i was the responsible person , i suffered the mental agony which even affect my carrer. these people are bloody rascals, don,t even think about them i[censored] need peace and happiness in life

Plz don't suggest Chennai packers & Movers to any one.
they are the worst packers & movers i had come across.
No professionalism / No Commitment & it is really worse in many ways. No executive answers phone after receiving the payment.

i had Contacted them through u & they had made the mess of my shifting from Cochin to ahmedabad.

Invoice No: 000727 Dt: 03/01/2011 Cost :Rs. 41500 including Insurance. but they are worst meant for nothing..

All things has got damaged & i need Sulekha manager contact details to speak to him & then take severe legal actions against chennai packers & movers , he should not do this kind of cruel activity with any customer in future & this should be last uglest businees in this field. No Customer should lose hard earned money in this manner.

I am not going to lie down with this , iam taking all actions so that he never come across a customer like me in future.

We had shipped a consignment from Bangalore to Chennai on 25th Nov 2010 (Thursday). It was promised that the delivery would be done @ Chennai on Saturday (26th Nov 2010). We called the Chennai Packers and Movers on Sunday ( no calls from them regarding the delay). We were informed that, they had lost the consignment papers and the delivery would be done on Monday. No clear information from their office. What we get is irresponsible answers like..."Dont call on this number". They simply hang off the phone while we are talking. One guy asks "What are we going to do with your consignment? There is no vehicle available. We will send it once vehicle is available." It has been 5 days since the consignment has been shipped and still we have not got it delivered. Is there any other place, where I can proceed on taking action towards these guys. We are highly irritated.

Hi, Mani here. Very strange to know that there are many people who suffered like me with this irresponsible Chennai packers and movers team.
After my wedding in Feb 2008, we had many furnitures and a big gunny bag with brass vessels (1 big lamp, 2 small lamps, 1 kodam, 2 brass vessels, 3 big plates, etc etc) to be shifted from Kollam to Chennai. The rep from Chennai packers and movers arrived on time, collected all the items and left around 11:00 PM from Kollam, Kerala on 22nd Feb after collecting Rs. 6000 from us. We arrived in Chennai on March 1st and all the goods except the brass vessels were delivered to us. When asked about this gunny bag they said it would be delivered the next day. Even after weeks we did not receive our item and we started making frequent calls to the Chennai branch. They always referred to the LR # which was of no use and no help in tracking the item.

We spoke to the so said head of Chennai branch, Mr. Mohan Varma, then his co-workers Selvaraj, then Mr. Appu Kuttan etc etc. It was informed to us that there was a change in vehicle in Trichy and the bag was mis placed somewhere there. But, even after repeated conversations with all these location head ( Kearala-cochin, Trichy, and Chennai) we did not get any help and it only increased our telephone bills. Later when called asking for the update Mr. Mohan Varma asked us whether we had taken any insurance for these items when we shifted from Kerala to Chennai. We were never told anything about insurance when they collected the item from Kerala. Its 2.5 yrs now and we still have not got the item back.

We had a very bad experience with these people and we never opt them or refer their name to any of our friends. Irresponsible team of people with no helping tendancy. NEVER anyone will say good about this packers and movers. Whoever has stolen this product would have gained a lot from this since getting a brass item is not very easy these days. IRRESPONSIBLE and BAD service from Chennai Packers and Movers!!!

my name is SUNIL DAS .I opted for CHENNAI Packers and Movers to shift my home goods from CHENNAI to BHOPAL on 5-JULY-2010.
They promised me the delivery of my good within 5 day in Bhopal. Now after a very long time until today 3 September 2010 I have not received my house goods, last one month when I called him every time they say it in transporting it will reach in weekends .i been trying to reach them about the location of my goods but they are not giving me proper answer of my query.
Since today morning their staff is not answering my call. I have paid 80% of amount before and i have the receipt of the same.
I want to launch a complaint against the company for not delivering the services on time plus for their unprofessional behavior.

Dear Reader,

This is to inform you all about the efficiency of the the chennai packers & movers. Finally they have delivered my Dish Antenna after 4 months & 19 days.

And I am requesting all the readers not to opt this efficient packers. Who will deliver the items on their own convenient.

I spoken to MD of this company, he said if you want you go and collect it from the go down.

So as a responsible citizen of this country, I am informing about my experience with this packers and movers.

I had a worst ever experience in life with this. CHENNAI PACKERS AND MOVERS.
I recently shifted to Mundra, Gujarat, I wish to bring my car from Tamilnadu to Mundra. To have an idea I have checked the internet for the proper cargo carriers to shift my car. I came across two cargo carriers one is Goel and other one is famous Chennai packers and movers. I appreciate the honesty of the Goel cargo movers, they informed me from vellore...

I had booked a consignment from New Delhi to Bangalore on 06/04/2010 (LR #1378). Only half of the consignment reached Bangalore on 04/05/2010). Four boxes of the remaining consignment was delivered on 10/05/2010. There is one box with clothes, acessessories, and valuables is still pending. Numerous calls to the local office of the packers and movers have elicited no response. After a point, the packers have blocked all the calls from my number. They are not ready to provide the local address nor is it listed in their website other than the Chennai address. Please take suitable action against the party and help to get the consignment.
