[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — CHEATED ME ON CASH BACK OFFER

I have written about Airtel Digital TV before too. I was offered me 15% cash back from the company if i purchased thru credit card. Now they are simply calling me and not giving the cash back offer. I get lot of mails too that my problem will be solved but till now nothing had been offered. Beware my friends dont take connection from AIRTEL DIGITAL TV. I have informed to my friends and neighbours and nobody will be commiting there deal with this cheating company. Now i am going to file a FIR and with the help of Advocate i am going to consumer court. Its not the issue of 300 RS/- but its the fact of that they hurt human being and insulting. This will not tollerate and will go till how much i can., Go thru other complains here and i am forwarding to all wesites and Airtel company too.

Airtel Digital TV — Cheating to customer about the package

For recharge of my digital TV AirTel digital TV customer care suggested to check different packages available on their internet site "http://www.airtel.in/digitaltv" & pay on-line through this site. On 7th Dec 2009 I checked the details on the site & found that in the "Mega" plan 2 regional top up are free (i.e. Zee Marathi & Zee Talkies). Accordingly I pay for the Mega plan. But then I couldn't view these channels. When I called customer care (SR no[protected] I had been told that it will be possible to see within next 45 min.

Evening when I went back to home I found that these channels are still not visible so I again called to customer care (SR[protected] & that time I have been told that Zee Talkies is not available in the package. This was really a surprise to me as their official site still shows that it is available as free Top ups. So I put my request to speak to AirTel officials.

Today i.e. 11th Dec 2009, I received a call from AirTel official person. He plainly told me that you have to extra charges to view the channel even though it is mentioned as free. I bring to his notice that still the official site shows it's a free top. I found that he was so rude in language & worst than their customer service person. After telling these 2 sentence he just hang his phone, no solution, no apology.

Is this the way we get the treatment from such organization? Do we have any way to appeal about such injustice?

Shame on AirTel Customer care & their services. I would suggest every body that think twice before you take AirTel connection.

Dear All,

My Airtel Digital TV customer ID is - [protected]

This is a warning for all new airtel DTH customer that henceforth do not even think of Airtel DTH, dont ever suggest any one to buy airtel DTH as after sale service/ customer care support from airtel is pathetic.

I got DTH in July and requested for new multiple TV connection. I called customer care on 6th Dec, they have informed to first deposit Rs1750/- which I did but they never told me the mode. So I have choosen the easiest way of transferring money using netbanking. After that I called their number for booking the same. I was told to buy voucher not the direct cash deposit. Since I already deposited my one year subscription, I have insisted to use my same money to provide me connection. I talked to their customer care person and their supervisor Mr Rohit. After having arguement for almost 15 minutes, he has confirmed that I will get a call from back end team within 24 hours. I have also requested to correct my address which was wrong in my record. There also, I got confirmation to do it in 24 hours.

In the evening, My connection was disconnected when I called them again they have menitoned that you have booked for relocation. So we have disconnected and now if you want to reconnect, we will charge Rs 200/-. After a long discussion, this matter was sorted out.

I have waited for 5 days. But neither new connection was provided nor my address was corrected. I called again on 11th Dec and insisted for discussion with Manager. I had discusion with Ms Minaxi and she has confirmed that I will get the call in next two hours. Surprisingly this two hour still not got over.

Now my money is lying idle with my account which I can not utilize till Sept'10 and I have asked them to revert the money as I did netbanking unfortunately there is no response from Airtel.

I just wanted to update all to be aware of such malpractices and be careful while taking any decision to take Digital TV. I am not sure, if we need to follow such practices to reach on top in term of revenue generation.

it was regular practice by the sevice, hello tunes charges are deducted without selecting any songs, following by a sms that if you want to unsubscribe it this is the process.

if a customer un subscibe it, then the amount deducted is gone without taking servise.

Inspite of having recharged the account in valid time period, my connection was inacctivated. Repeated calls to Customer Care was just to test my level of pateince and harassment to self as a customer.

None of the customer care executives namely Mr. YASHPAL (Called at 9:20pm, 02 Jan'10), Mr. AMAN AHMED ( Called at 10:20pm, 02 Jan'10) could give me valid reason for discontinuation of services and approximate time of resolving my complaint numbers #1694064 and #1697487. They even denied me connecting to their supervisors on flimsy grounds. Prompt action needs to be taken against such individuals and services.
My airtel digital tv has to be recharged, but I forgot my customer Id. I tried to get it from "My account" but it says that the page has been revised. I mailed to the customer care, they did not reply me. Is there anybody to help me to get my airtel customer id No. ????

Airtel Digital TV — DISCONECTION OF SOME CHANNEL

I recently renewed my Airtel Digital Account connection which had an offer after paying 1760/- my subscription will extended for 1 year and old plan will continue. But after paying above amount some channel (UTV, UTV BINDASS ETC.) are missing without any other information given. I think the Airtel Digital management is highly non professional .

After contact to AIRTEL DIGITAL TV CUSTOMER CARE , there is no one who responds back . AIRTEL customer support has no clue to continue my old Package or start my missing channel, this product is no where worth to be even displayed and used

Shame on AIRTEL DIGITAL TV and Deal4all for this bad business acumen and not responding to the customers .

I have recharged my airtel digital tv from net banking . It does not allow to select any package and recharge less than 100 . I have Rs 236 in my card . How can i select any package ....

Airtel Digital TV — Denial Of Cusotmer Offer presented At time of Buying the connection

Dear Sir,

I purchased the DTH Connection in Nov 2009 through Internet and I was given soem offers to reduced price, with 3 month subcription free and I was suppose to get a Vocher for 7 day tay in Goa with 7 days of getting my connection. While the customer care did the setup they repeated the same offers confirming the same. Even after 3 months the voucher did not came to me. When I caleld up customer care they said that the this type of offer never existed. And I have to login to Trip Advisor site, put my comments on Hotel listed there ( which of course I have not visited) and if my comments get published then I will be given a discount of some amount. I was totally taken aback on hearing this and when I said to the cusotmer care executive (Mr Anand) that you might be looking at some other offerm where is mine was of a straight forward offer, I was told that there has never been any offer in past or present.

I am not sure what Airtel is doing here. Is it some ind og hoax being created by Airtel and Trip Advisor as their combined strategy to cheat customers?

First I am being asked to put the most promising comments on Trip advisor for hotel which I have not visited. I believe this amounts to cheating customer who logins into the website looking for customer feedback so that they can have good trip and stay in hotel.

Secondly I am being myself cheated for not getting what was published on internet and confirmed by Customer Care executive at the time of DTH installation.

Please look into the same and get the matter resolved at the earliest.

Airtel is the worst service provider in my opinion.

My set up box is within warranty period and not working since 1 month, the service provider has not yet fixed the problem.
