[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Finally the channels have started coming after 89 hours. Hats of to Airtel they just take 89 hours after purchase to activate your DTH. You also get a great practice to become a call centre employee as they make you speak for 6 hrs minimum in a day. You also get to learn how you should not treat your customers through them as they demonstrate that perfectly by not attending to the customer calls properly.
If activation takes just 89 hours, I think recharge and top ups should not take more than 48 hours which will be the quickest in any stretch of imaginations.
Everything said and done I should not switched from Tatasky to Airtel...biggest mistake I commited. Since I have purchased it now, I have to live up with it for at least 5 months. Let me see if the treatment improves by any chance.
I have placed a request for airtel Digital TV online through a website. I paid Rs 1990 using my friend's credit card. I have been waiting for installation for last 6 days and calling the customer care for this much long time every single day.
They are absolutely frustating, I call them 6 times a day, they all don't know what they speak, I also talked to a supervisor there.
he was not deserving to be an agent even.

If somebody higher authority is looking at this mail, please take a quick action else your Digital TV branch is going to crash down...

i had activated telugu package on my airtel digital tv on 15/3/2010 . on the same date the company had deducted the amount for this package from my account . from the date of activation i can not see the telugu channels. Despite of several complaints made by me to airtel customer help line they are not solved my problem

I was very much happy when i bought Air Tel Digital TV but now i am very much sad because from last sunday Means 14.03.2010 my setup box was not working and i registed complain for that in Coustemer Care and she confirmend that your problem will be solved within 24 Hrs. but till date it is not solved by them and they are also not giving response of this compalain.

cotacted many times customer care but no response .problem was not solve . problem stat from 6th march till its 24th no body has responded . somebody has come but problem was not solved.thentel me what is your next action.

Airtel Digital TV — Deduct money from debit card when transaction declined.

Dear sir, On 18/03/2010 an Airtel Digital TV Sales executive called me ([protected]) and said to me that I can buy airtel digital tv using my credit/debit card for just Rs.999 and then I want to buy that product so she forward my call to airtel ivr to complete my traction but unfourtunetly that transection was declined. But airtel deduct Rs. 37.35 and then I have try this another time. And It also the same case and this time my credit card debited by Rs. 199. airtel is a fraud company...

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — The whole of Airtel customer care is useless, as they provide no help to the customers

I have made around 8 to 9 complaints to Airtel digital tv customer care. Such a useless people cannot help the customers and are not pleasant to take too sometimes i feel they are rude. Then the engineers the next useless people on the earth. They will take the entire day to find what the problems is? They almost forget that we have office to go and are very very rude too. They just have to change the cable for which they have almost taken 31/2months. The complaint was given from september 2009 initial they did follow up and solved the problem. The same problem occured again so i complainted on Nov 7th but nothing has happened since then dec15th 2009 again i complainted but he did not carry the cable with him which has to be cahnged such a bad communication between the team. If they had clearly told the engineer to carry the cable the problem would ve been solved way back now its almost 31/2 months inbetween i had to travel a lot and had notime to follow with these people. Now again i have complainted on the 22nd march 2010 the engineers just call but never turn up but we have to keep waiting for thme leaving our work not fair ....and the customer care very rude people all i know is i will make sure that all my friends and family do not by your DHT service horrible experience anyways i am sure writting this mail will also not make anydifference to ur team such a waste of time pls understand we do have life what if this happens with you be alter in ur job thats what you r paid for atleast do ur 8hrs job properly

Airtel Digital TV — Money Fraud

I had Registered a complain with Airtel regarding My account balance which automatically gets negative in the month of Feb.From the 6th march i am logging the complains on adaily basis and i am not getting a reply there end.Every time they registeredc a complain nad tell to me that it will get resolved in 24 hrs but the same thing is not happening.I am totally mentally harrased by them.atleast 25-30 time i had talk to their customer excutive and never gets the satisfactory reply.

First problems comes when i move my airtel Digital TV connection from Mumbai to Pune and log a call for installation in pune they told me that u have to give installation charges that i had alreday paid in mumbai for Installation and de-installation.They take up my complain and provide me the slot but their exceutive do not come to my home for connection .Same thing continues for more than 2 week.In btw the time i get 4-5 slot but their engg. do not come .Fibnally i talk to their Supervisor then they finally come and do the installation.

During this installation Complain log i also log a complain regrading my balance that auto matically gets negative in feb month.For this there executive told me that this probelm arise due the onlin recharge done bu you in the month of dec.In dec i had recharge my account with 400 Rs using my HDFC bank credit Card.My accounts gets debited but airel digital TV account don get credited.So i make a recharge with 300Rs that sucessfullt gets credited to my Airtel account.Now for this 400 i had raised a complin with HDFC bank that is resolved.Now what airtel customer care are saying to me is that For that 400 ur account gets debited by default so they ask me to provide the Transaction Reference no. for that 5thdec Transaction. I had provide that also to them then they tell me that ur problem gets resolved in 24 hrs.After 24 hrs there exceutive tell to me that ur Accounts gets debited against that 400 rs that we pay to bank.I am not understandiing if that 400 Rs balance is not come to my a/c so hw shld they deduct the same.Regarding this so many time i tell the same thin to airtel executive some time they told me to write the mail ,some time they told or back end team will solve.But still probelm no gets solved .I am totally irritated with this.Please look in to this matter.

This is in regards to above mentioned Customer ID with registered mobile #[protected], I would like to inform you that this connection was installed on 25 Feb 2010.

On 28th Feb 2010, I made a complaint for signal problem (Ref # 2281024), for which I received comment from Airtel team the problem is not from our side and you should contact the local vendor. (Surprised to hear such a statement from AIRTEL)

Followed with the local vendor, there technician told the dish located on the roof gets fall down, so you need to re-fix the dish again which is on chargeable basis (Rs.300/-).

Big question – How the dish fallen down that to with in one month’s time?

Can somebody explain what happen to Airtel Services, whether the Airtel DigitalTV and Airtel Communication are running by one person or else. Because I am with Airtel Communication (Mobile, Landline and Broadband) for last 10 years but never faced such kind of problems and statement from Airtel.

If the same kind of services is going to receive in future, then I am sorry to say that I am not going to have a long relationship with Airtel DigitalTV.

Please provide me a report on the above, if possible and realize that something went wrong.

We are really sorry to say about the services which are provided is not satisfactory.....your customer service is not good....

Again i am facing the same problem from Airtel DTH coustomer Care.

they are still not doing any thing.

my DTH Setup Box was not working from last[protected] to[protected] and it start work automatically and again on[protected] it was off so my setup box is again not work.

so how could i resolve it????

even i contact so many time coustemer care but they are not responding well.

so pls change my setup box with new setup box without any charge and coast and also refund my money from[protected] to when setup box repair or replace.

Even if Airtel is not able to resolve it then pls provide me my setup box charge so i can buy new one from other servise provider.

now i am very much upsets even i cant able to see any IPL matches...

so alos Airtel provide me ticket of all IPL matches.........

For Airtel DTH connection I called customer care people and amount is paid 1750/-

For first time installation they scheduled engineer visit on 8th 11.00 am (engineer missed the schedule)

Again I called, they keep on scheduling and engineer visit is keep on missing

I called them 20 times still engineer are not yet visited
