[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel — not giving the service but taking charge not response customer care

Dear sir,
I am alagesan i am using 4 year airtel connection initally i am postpaid customer they are charging hidden charges coming my bill and now 2 year back i changed prepaid connection the same number now 6 month back i want miss call alert facility they are activated but they are proving the service i am asking so much of time customer care offcier they given complaint number and no response they given time period but not respond and they cancelled the miss call service and they are retrrun my charge,and every month they are taking the charges for miss call what they are doing i am really angree with airtel ..
For singnal lost in every 1/2 hour continuecelly shows No Signal massege .

Please its very hurting our progarm watching happyness

I have raised the complaints before a month since there is not resolve,nobody is takig as a serious.
One of your representative had visited but he was also guf[censored]p me & told he can resolve after his office hrs.for which he offer me less service charges than company.If such representative have with you then how customer will be satisfy,Pls do it immediate, & revert me

my AirtelDth id no [protected] was face some problems in the evening time in rainy day we cont' see the program properly, the dis ply comes call to the customer care yesterday that E KANNADA channel and Kannada channels are very quality i call customer care [protected] it will very busy I cannot talk with your personals please clear the complaint as soon as
my digital airtel tv id is [protected], i recherged last month august for rs. 100/= but not a single day cannot see any chennel, further i recharged on september rs.100/= but till date i cannot see any chennel as last month, shows channel blocked, please do needfull.
i got the connection and registered with the customer care and was alloted CID[protected] and was promised that the installation will be done on 25th of Sept. on 26th when the installation was not done i contacted Customer Care and was told that the same will be installed on 27th by 10A.M positively at 12.30 P.M. contacted them and my complaint was lodged and Comp. no. 1122489 was given and i was promised that the installation will be done by 5 p.m. 8.30 p.m. the same is still not installed and i am not getting any response from the Supervisor who is either out or too busy to talk to the small customers.

Please take up the matter and please enquire about the delay.

Airtel Digi Tv — Why is customer care disconnecting my calls

My calls for re installation havent been attended for the last one week
A new complaint no & time is given every time I call.




For the last one hour your call centre executives are pretending that lines are not clear.
So with a phoney accent they start saying HELLO HELLO and disconnect my call.
Chandni,Ravi etc etc whatever psuedo names they call themselves....


Incase Airtel is too busy they should let me know the same.... and incase service cannot be provided why not refund the money that you are sitting on??

Hope your South African customers will be more understanding than we are in India.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Some Channels are not viewing

my Costmer ID is [protected] I have purchased the Airtel Digital TV in May'2009. After some time some channels like ZOOM, 9XM, Bindass Movies, NDTV India, Star News and so many which are in package are not coming.....I have made several calls to Customer Care, local distributor even service engineer but nothing is heard till date......
MY Airtel digi TV is not working from ast 20 days, , , , , , , , , , , hell with customer care, service engineers and all staff alongwith people involved in DIL TITLI ad, , , , , , , , , , , , ,
Airtel digi tv should be banned in INDIA
If some one is not able to run their network then why all of you are involved in this business
Is Mr. Bharti Mittal familiar with alll above complaints...

Airtel Digital TV — Defective Reception/Broken Images Sound

I subscribed to Airtel Digital Tv and it was installed on 04/07/09 and after a week the reception detoriated. Since then i have been calling the service center.
Watching TV is like watching an old scratched CD. Numerous phone calls to Service center @[protected] yield no result. I have to repeat my Consumer No. /Address/Date of installation/Previous dates of call /verify my email/land line-Cell no. and then told to wait while they seacrh for a solution. After 10 mins. the line gets cut off and i have to repeat the process again. One helpful soul told me to open the set top box, clean the card, check the wiring and to report back. unfortunately, the same person never picks up the phone again and the person is invariably busy elsewhere. They even refused to Register or give me a complain No for reference. I have also emailed my complain but no reaction.

I Purchased LCD TV of Samsung from retail outlet of “NEXT” At Howrah with AIRTEL Digital TV. Connection with 3 months free Scheme On[protected]. I was given my Customer ID as [protected] with my Regd. Mobile no. [protected]/[protected]. I wanted to view all channels, hence I approached “Next” Showroom on[protected] at 10.30 am . They advised me to purchase Recharge-Voucher; accordingly they recharged for worth Rs. 500/- and asked me to wait for 1 hour to view all the Channels

Sorry to inform you that till time there is no connection. In the mean time, I contacted all the AIRTEL service centre /customer care nos./the dealer, and I found that there is no response from anyone and I found the most worst & hapless services are provided by them in the name of AIRTEL Digital TV. I hope that you are responsible person who can solve my problem without disturbing me anymore.

Am very discontented with the service that you've been providing.. I had recharged my account on 30 september 2009 and yet we did not receive any confirmation about it and later we come to know that you had credited someone else's account with our amount... Our complaint no is 1193651 this complaint was lodged on 10 october 2009.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Not working for 20 days!

I got Digital TV installed on 3-9-09 vide Customer ID[protected], STB ID[protected] View Card No[protected].

It functioned till 9th when I had to leave Chennai on work.

After my return when I switched on the STB on 24th Sep, I started receiving Error Code 2 stating that the View Card is not an Airtel Cad or it may not be inserted properly! (But it was the original Airtel Card and I had not touched it!)

I complained to the Customer Care through[protected]. After a few hours the worked for some time and again started showing the same error message.

Thereafter started my tales of woe and frustration. I have made 28 calls so far. But the problem remains unsolved.

It is evident that the STB / View Card are defective and need to be replaced, as it can work for only a few minutes in every 24 hours!

I call the customer care everyday. Everyday I am promised that the problem will be solved the next day. But it has so far not been solved.

I am given each time a new deadline and I am forced to stay at home hoping somebody will call or visit to replace the defective equipment. But nothing happens. When I call and complain I am given a new date and time. This has been going on for close to 20 days now.

In this period I have spoken to so many customer care call centre people (Vikas, Roopa, Radheshyam, Edison, Vanmathi, Mahesh and so on.) Two people claiming to be some kind of supervisors also spoke to me. Mr Kabir promised that an engineer would come at 13-00 hrs on 10th; of course, nobody called or came. A similar promise had been made by Mr Edison (solving by 1600 hrs on 10th), Vanmathi (solving by 15 hrs on 12th), Mahesh (solving by 13 hrs on 13th), Sonia D'Sousa (withing 45 minutes, ie 15-45 hrs on 12th) and so on.

But nothing happens!

From the website, I find that Airtel provides very poor customer care services. So many people have complaints.

Once and for all, can somebody in Airtel management tell me whether Airtel has any intention of solving the problem, and by what date?

I have made 28 calls in all, spent over 400 minutes talking to Call Centre guys and not watched any TV for which I have paid.

Will someone wake up?

this is to inform all those who are planning to have airtel digital t.v. please don't go for this rubbish product as i am experiencing a lot with others. whenever we go for a product, first of all we look for the after sales service. in spite of others warning, i purchased the airtel digital t.v. and as a result, i am suffering for their excellent (!) after sales service. my set top box started giving problem since saturday last (10th of October, 2009). the menu is not working, screen saver is coming after every 3/4 minutes. the set top box is not working at all. i immediately contacted the toll free number as requested to send their service engineer and inspect the set top box. by this time i was given number of docket numbers, saying that the service engineer will come definitely on this time or that time. the docket numbers are 1214959, 1206053, 1198148 etc. today is 13th and already 4 days are over but the service engineer is yet to come. they are boasting that they are 24x7. does it prove their 24x7 service and excellent customer care. i don't know whether the management goes through the mail or the recording for internal training. now i have started advising others not to go for this rubbish product. the management, are you listening ?

    I am Vijay Pratap Singh and my customer ID is [protected].I have purchased A digital tv in May For Rs 1750 and its validity was 3 months. And i Recharge it By net banking For 1400 rupees on 7sep.. And talk to cutomer care to recharege for 1 year validity (Same plan as was Super value pack).
   
* So there should be +135 rupees in my account (Rs1400 pay+Rs105 promotional offer-Rs1370 for one year validity).
    # On 1 oct my services was stopped saying your account is negative as they cut Rs 350 for plan upgradation.But nither i request to you for plan upgradation nor i got any conformation for such type of deduction. My plan is same as from beginning (super value Plan).
  # I have talked more than 20 times to Customer care they always says that this amount was deducted due to some mistake by Computer ( as it takes as auto upgradation plan because i recharge it before completion of three months) or their colleauge mistake. And they send waver for correction (complaint no-1136805 dated-29sep, 1171636 dated-05 oct, 1181466 dated 7oct,[protected]oct).
 They always ensure that our services will start next day or with in 24 hrs.But till now no action taken
 So i am so much frustated for this. Please correct it .If you have any proof that i request for plan upgradation than call me.Because i never request for it.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No response from service - System Down for 5 days

The Airtel Digital TV service centre is probably the most difficult place to reach. The customer support executives cannot be reached. After several attempts, if you do succeed in reaching them, they are unable to assign any engineers for service. My system is down for almost a week now. I have called several times, registered a complaint, sent them mails. But, there has been no response from them at all. There is a credit balance of almost Rs. 900+ in my account. I also wish to get back my money and discontinue the service since I am missing out on everything that I wanted to see. This entire process has caused me servere stress, waste of time and money.

Kindly advice action.
