[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

I have changed my residence to address given below. On 05/06/2010, de-installtion from old residance was completed and re-installation on new address was scheduled on 08/06/2010. But No person /contact is done by the custumer care,in this regard. Please make the re-installation procedure as early as possible. My details are:

Airtel Digital TV — No signal from one week

HI
This is Suresh Jiragyale complainting regading Digital TV my Customer ID [protected] Error message is no signal from past last one week .If i call to customer compliant also they will tell they transfer the call to Techinical person but no one will pick the call.Please take the currective action.

Airtel Digital TV — Re-installation not done even after calling daily for more than 10 days

We have an Airtel Digital TV which we are using for the last 1 year.

Recently we moved from Pune to Gurgaon and so wanted to get our digital tv re-installed at Gurgaon. I called them for the re-installation in Gurgaon but was told that my account is being shown as suspended and once it is active they will take my re-installtion request. They also informed me that this problem of account suspension would resolve in 24 hrs. The next day when I called them I was again told that the account is suspended and they again forwarded my request assuring me of 1 day SLA. This process continued daily for the next 1 week and they assured me that the day this problem is resolved they'll send their engineer for re-installation on the same day. Finally when yesterday I called they informed me that my account has been activated now and took my request for re-installation but refused to do it on the same day and said that even for the next 2 days the reinstallation can only be done between 10 to 3 pm. Since thats my office time I spoke to their supervisor who finally took my request for today i.e. 22 June but today I got no call from their engineer.on calling them again they apologised and said that they'll check if the engineer is free for today who obviously was not and so they gave me another date for the re-installation. When I retorted they gave me a number of their engineer in my area(Palam Vihar, Gurgaon) whose name they said was "Sunil Mittal" and told me that I can directly call him and he'll come and do the re-installation today. But to my frustration on calling up at that no the no was said to be of an Airtel engineer in Ambala. After that on calling them I was put on hold for more than 15 minutes to talk to their supervisor and finally I had to put down the phone losing all patience.
I never had such problems in the last 1 year of my usage in Pune but the Gurgaon chapter has made me feel that I should better get the connection disconnected.

airtel dth tv — Regarding payment and plan

Dear Airtel DTH,

I purchased Airtel digital TV via online on June 19, 2010, I paid via credit card for the online payment via (Phone) Rs. 1,990. But my airtel account credited only Rs. 1,750, hence, I wondered where is the my rest of money, than I called customer care no. 12150 I asked them where is my rest of money they told me you paid only Rs. 1,750 than I have explained them all the things. I have proof for account statement for the payment Rs. 1990.

I would like inform to you I am Islamuddin my customer Id is [protected] .I was purchase airtel Dish Tv pack Rs. 1, 990 date 19/06/2010 it gives three months subscription free with ultra pack via online, I called for customer care no. 12148 (I talk with Ms. Fathima Shaikh) .but pack was start economy pack. so i m very puzzle.

So, I request to you please look into this problem and solve the problem at the earliest.

I also received an SMS stating "Recharge your Airtel digital TV account today and get 10% more. Recharge with Rs 200 or more. Offer valid till today only." At that time my balance was Rs. -0.8. I immediately recharge with Rs. 200/- but my balance become Rs. 199.2. Several times I contact customer care executives. But each time they say my request has been closed. How can they close my request without informing me.
My nightmare with Airtel Digital TV seems to be unending. Finally when I got the digital TV re-installed on 24th June I thot now atleast things wud be fine. But I was wrong, within 15 mins of re-installation the channels went off and I got the message "Please recharge your account to resume your service"
I had already paid for a pack for one year in Oct-Nov 2009 and above that too I still have balance in my account so this problem makes no sense.

I have called up the customer care everytime since that day and everytime I got the assurance that it would be resolved in the next 20-24 hrs but still nothing has changed. I've spoken to their customer care executives, their technical support and everone but the result is a BIG ZERO.

The last thing I can think of is raising a formal complaint against them in the consumer court and taking this matter to higher authorities if this issue is not resolved today.

To everyone, "Never trust the Airtel people and DO NOT BUY AIRTEL DIGITAL TV esp. if you are in Gurgaon.
I have also baught AitTel digital TV from Vriti Infocom Pvt. Ltd. B-70, Sector-63, NOIDA - 201307 (UP) Tel:[protected], Fax:[protected] [protected]@vriti.com Web: www.vriti.com on 9th June 2010 in Rs 1590.00 but it is not intalled yet. I mailed to Vriti and airtel but no response has recieved. I faxed to vriti but no reply by vriti and phone number of vriti is not responded. I realy cheated by Vriti and airtel
I took an Airtel DTH connection 2 days back.
I made a big mistake by selecting Airtel DTH .
I made an online payment through their channel partner “ VRITI”
They sent me a link for payment gateway

I paid Rs 1490 and they promised installation will be done within 24 hours.
Before the payment they used to call 4 times a day and now there is no response from their side

I tried calling airtel cust care but there also response is very poor .. it looks like operators are not trained and they will simply cut the phone if they are not capable of solving your query….

Airtel Digital TV connection (DTH) — Not replying for complaints

Ihave taken airtel DTH connections and not receiving signals since last 10-12 days. Registered complain on call centre twice (complain number 3150969, 3173628) till date the problem is not solved and remained as it is. the call centre service by airtel DTH is pathetic and no one is in position to give propoer solution. I wil be approching court for not getting service on time.

Airtel Digital TV — No resolution provided

Day 1: I raised a complaint after the adapter attached to my Airtel Digital TV set-up box stopped functioning.
By the time of registering the complaint, the executive told me that the problem would be reloved by 5 pm the next day.

Day 2: No one has turned up by the given resolution time i.e. 5 pm.
Again I got a call from Airtel at arround 8 pm (3 hrs after given resolution time), and asking me about the status, too funny though. I told them that no one has come to my home to fix the problem. Then that person told me that the problem would be resolved by 12 noon the next day. Already 24 hrs passed and still I have to wait for another 15 hrs.

Day 3: It's 12:30 in the afternoon, and the problem still persists. No engineer has come to look into my problem.
To my anxiety, I gave another call to customer care. This time they are asking me to wait til 5:30 pm in the evening.

To conclude, one has to think twice before going for Airtel Digital TV connection.
I agree entirely with all the complaints as I have been facing the same problem for the last few days. On top Of it, they never give any number where we can call back. Additionally, every time someone else picks up the phone and gives assurance that it will be done by a particular time ( they give times like 14.47 minute!!!) but that never happens. Today when I complained the person Named Dinesh said you have CALLED US only today. I said this is the complain number which is for today but I have been calling this customer service number for the last three days. His reply was " NO YOU HAVE CALLED US ONLY TODAY OUR SYSTEM DOES NOT SHOW ANY CALL FROM YOUR NUMBER BEFORE THIS.

I ASKED HIM DO YOU MEN TO SAY THAT I AM LYING? THE REPLY WAS THAT OUR SYSTEM RECORDS ALL PHONES FROM ALL AT EVERY TIME.

NOW ONLY GOD KNOWS WHERE MY PHONE CALLS HAVE GONE. (GENERALLY THE PHONE CALL ALSO TAKES AROUND 15-20 MINUTES TO REACH THE CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE BEFORE THAT WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO ALL CRAP ADDS BY AIRTEL
The most irresponsible call center in India I can bet for it. please dont go with Air tel digital service.They dont respond even after 15 min waste ot time in listening their stupid advertising call.they only say ur call is important for us.so please dont carry away.

This is Prakash again. The proble is still not resolved. They keep on telling me the same sentense "Your problem will be resolved by 5:30 pm tomorrow".

The problem here is, they are not following up the existing complaint #, instead they are raising a new complaint and giving the fix time.

They even suggested me that if I call them again and again to know about my complaint, the complaint's resolution time will be delayed. So I shouldn't even call the customer service for the status of complaint. What a logic? Guys I'm not joking this is a very serious issue, 'no engineer will visit the customer's home if there's a problem.

This is to bring to your notice that I recently availed the airtel dth service and have taken the ultra package for a year.
To be quite honest I am not happy with the kind of service I have received or the enthusiasm portrayed by your staff while selling the product.
I was conned by your sales rep Pritam Singh saying that for the offer I will be able to receive 4 HD channels that includes discovery, nat geo, espn and star sports and all future HD channels would be added at no extra cost.
Leave alone HD I haven’t even been able to receive the normal regional(Malayalam) channels which come in the package and had to call several times to finally get it configured. Moreover I had stressed on the point that I want a particular Christian channel called GOD TV which im now given to understand will not be available.
Your customer service staff are no less than a joke to me as they keep hanging up on calls while speaking and are unable to resolve the issue.
I have made a full payment of RS.5900 for the whole year and I don’t even get a single HD channel.
What seems to be the problem ??? and will I ever get a resolution to this ???
Please bear in mind that I just received my connection day before yesterday (30th June 10) to face such an ordeal and that too in such a short span of time clearly indicates the standard and level of service I will receive.
I have been using Airtel for my home landline, broadband, mobile etc and am quite a faithful customer of yours. But this episode has just proved to be a nightmare.
Sincerely hoping someone can provide a resolution to my concern or I will be left with no choice but to discontinue the service even before a week o[censored]sage.

Airtel Digital TV — Mental Harassment

I had purchased an Airtel DTH on 28th June 2010 customer ID [protected], transaction no. 9531433 worth Rs 5490. I was informed that it will get installed within 48 hours at my place. After 48 hours when no call came from the co. i again had to tread on the cumbersome task of calling their customer care no. on which one needs to call around 15 times to get through atleast once to a customer care executive. After calling i came to know that d date assigned for my installation is 5th July 2010 1 pm. I understand that there was a bandh called on that date so i waited for the whole of 6th July 2010 still no response from the co. when i called back again this time the customer care executive had nothing to say in return. I had no problem with a late installation of the DTH however y was i misled everytime I called and if someone wasnt supposed to come due to shortage of labour and other problems etc. I believe I should have been informed regarding it atleast once.

I demanded a cancelation of the connection Complaint no. 3233606 and was told that i would be contacted within 24 hours, still no response from the company. I had to again call back to the customer care no. to ask for my complaint redressal. Instead of catering to that they people sent an engineer directly at my place.

Airtel recorder system required 2 wires from the wall this was something i came to know only when the engineer entered my place. I cant break the walls of my house to install the connection. due to this i demanded a normal connection which comes for 1700 and a refund of the balance money. the customer care executive contacted me. when I asked her to call back as I would let her know within 1/2 hour she talked to me in a manner in which she is so inconvinienced by my demand let alone the amount of effort i had to put in the first place to call the customer care and bloody my money is at stake with a company which just wants to make money and doesnt care about its customers.

After all this the executive told me that I cant refund back the balance and I have to take an yearly plan. Even after so much of harassment i was ready to plunge myself into their service yet another time when she told that i will have to take an yearly pack of Rs 4300 which comes to Rs. 358 per month approx. when i told her that I need the basic pack as shown on their site which comes at Rs 145 per month she said i have no choice but to take the above mentioned pack or cancel the connection.
My appeal to the company is STOP STEALING MY MONEY. I want my money back

and to everyone who is reading this dont even think of buying an airtel connection because they are thugs

Airtel Digital TV — No signal since 4-July-2010

There is no signal in my Airtel Digital TV since 4th July 2010. I have been complaining since 5th July 2010 to the customer care 3 to 4 times daily for the resolution. There are 4 tickets raised till date for the same, they are 3222355, 3238437, 3246773 and 3259118. But, everytime I call customer care they say it will be resolved by tomorrow. But, till now it is not done. I request Airtel to give back my money back which I have given for yearly subscription and for other top ups so that I can go for service from other service providers. They say we can NOT do that. They have given franchise to other dealers for repairing service. They are quite unprofessional.
