[Resolved] Airtel / Prepaid — Airtel - MNP - Sim not activated | |||
Hello Sir, I had applied for MNP from Loop Mobile postpaid to Airtel prepaid and bought the new SIM after submitting all the necessary documents on 6th July 2013. I received a message on dated 12 Jul 2013, ( Namaste, Request Validated by Donor and Porting time[protected]T 22:00:00.000+5:30). On[protected], 22:27:00 my existing Loop Mobile network provider terminated their services, however, even after 12 hours my SIM which was provided by Airtel did not get activated. It is mentioned on the Airtel website that the new simcard gets activated within 2 hours, and I have attached a screenshot. I called up the customer care executives next day morning and all they said was to switch off and switch on the mobile phone, while removing and inserting the simcard again, which I tried it for several times. Here Airtel Network Coverage is very good, so theres is no problem of coverage area. As of now, there is no signal at all, for the new Airtel simcard. When I am trying to contact customer care again, they are saying there is no option for them, and I need to go to the retailer. I did go to the retailer, however, the executive did not know what to do, and after ignoring me for about 5 minutes, even though I was sitting right across her, she contacted the manager. The manager took his time and after 15-20 minutes later, told the executive to send an email to someone. To me, he said that the service will be active in 3-4 hours for sure. (By the way, there was just one executive for taking care of customer issues, who was handling two customers at the same time, and other two counters were for collecting documents and for collecting the bill money respectively, two seats on the executive side not occupied by the executives themselves) But it did not get activated. This just showed that either the manager had no idea of what to do, or he was just trying to ignore the issue and push the problem to someone else, leaving the customer (me), hanging. Later, I called up the Airtel customer care many times later, yet they only told me to either wait for 3-4 hours (every time) (and which I did, unfortunately) or go to retail. Finally I found out about the airtel_presence twitter account and told them the issue. I got a call from them though in like 30 minutes, and the person told me to do the same thing, take out your sim, reboot your phone, the service will be activated in 3-4 hours. Thus, been frustrated, I decided to speak with the manager of the customer care. The executive transferred the call to manager and the manager transferred the called to shop floor manager. I had to tell each one of them the whole story again and again and they were not able to provide solution for my issue. He insisted on me going back to the retail store, that the issue is technical and he cannot handle it there, but been there once, I am pretty sure the manager will just do the same thing again. I asked the shop floor manager for a number, a complaint number if possible, so that the number can be referred to when I complain at the consumer complain forum like this one. However, Airtel does not have that kind of system, and on insisting further, the shop floor manager gave me a fake number, just to pacify me for the time being- [protected]. I know it was fake because I called back and tried to verified but the executive did not know what I was talking about. Now this was the final straw. I was compelled to complain at this forum and all the forums if possible about the way these executives treat their companies customers. Like five minutes back, I found out about the website www.airtel.in/airtelpresence and I have filled the form @ www.airtel.in/airtelpresence. I am feeling very harassed and mentally disturb due to non-working of my number and the behavior of the executives hired by one of the biggest telecommunication company like Airtel. I am not getting proper information, am spoken to rudely, given wrong information and even cheated. This had to be told to someone responsible, so I am writing here. Airtel — New Prepaid sim stopped working after 4 days
I bought new prepaid simfrom Nehru Place,Airtel Office on 7th Nov,2009.It starts working next day ,but suddenly on 13th Nov,It Stops working. I came to Airtel Office on 16th Nov. ,i think even they don't know about the problem,they are saying televerification was wrong.But I had my televeriffication ,I think all infrequired at time of televerification i had given that and verifier was also satisfied.Even verification of person i had given refrence is also quite satisfied from his side.
Airtel persons are saying televerification is wrong and customer care is saying documents not recieved tiill date to them.
Now what should i do.As a customer whats our mistake.My question is likeif they are sayiong verification is wrong,have they informed me this thing on 13th Nov when they blocked my no.
Why i am suffering for this problem.

Airtel Postpaid — non activation of sim
sir,i have deposted rupees four hundred as security for postpaid connection of air tel on24th of nov2009 with the assurance that it will be activated within 72 hrs but till date it has not been activated despite complaints to dealer ganpati telecommunication kathua and to the customer care cell of air tell on ph no 121 the moble no given to me is [protected]
Airtel Mobile — Net connection not activated
I had activated airtel mobile net night plan by making a recharge of rs 89. But it didnt get activated. After calling airtel customer care and following their instructions i found that rs 89 were deducted twice from my account( ie rs. 178) worse was that the service got activated but partialy. I was supposed to get 200 mb during day and 4 gb during night time. 200 mb i got but not the 4 gb for night. I have lodged the complaint with the customer care but to no effect. To my surprise i even got a cal from some mr robert saying that my complaint has been taken care of, which has not been. Dear sir/ Ma'mI had taken a new airtel prepaid number in the month of Dec, it was working for two - three days and then all my outgoing and incoming facilities were blocked. As per the request from customer care i had re-submited the documents again, one week back, but still the service has not yet started still. Let me know where the problem has stuck up.

Airtel Prepaid Mobile SIM — Non activation of sim
I purchased AIRTEL mobile SIM with No. [protected] from the AIRTEL STALL at Sector 7 KURUKSHETRA on 10.01.2010 after providing ID as my Bank's Identity Card, A certificate from the Bank (My employer) as my adress proof. But my mobile was not activated. After 5 days I enquired from the dealer the reason for non activation, who informed that my ID''s are not acceptable. I enquired why these ID's are not acceptable andwhat type of ID is required, the dealer himself was not aware. Ultimately I offered my Passport as ID proof the dealer said I will have to enquire if Passport is a valid ID or not. After cosulting the higherups he accepted passport as ID on 15.01.2010 but my still my sim has not been activated. It is surprising that Passport is accepted as ID all over the world but is not a valid ID for Airtel emloyees. I suggest that Airtel must employ expert staff for this purpose and not employees who are tarnishing the reputation of the commpany because of having no knowledge. I will request the Airtel people to advise their dealer to refund my money and deliver my IDs at my residence because I have visited his shop seven times and now donot want to talk to that fellow, morover BSNL has already issued SIM on these IDs.Airtel / Prepaid — cash deducted for services not requested
my mobile no is[protected] (prepaid) and i very often receive messages from your service centre informing me that certain services are available and to send sms in case the services is required .inspite of not requesting for any such services like audiocinema etc amt is deducted from my balance and then i have to spend my valueable time replying to stop the service .last week an amt of rs30 has been deducted from my balance without my requesting your center for any special services.henceforth i request you to please do not send rpt please do not send any such service messages on to my above number and also to credit the amount of rs30 which has been deducted

Airtel Prepaid — Frequent Deduction of prepaid balance
I had recharged two prepaid vouchers of Rs 295 & Rs 120 in last 10 days.I got balance of 295 and 106.Since last 10 days,there is a frequent deduction of balance of around Rs300 from my card.I registered a complaint to customer care executive and Seior officials twice.Despite of my not making calls,they are saying that there are calls being made from your number.I had not made any call to the said number and they are not ready to accept their system fault.I want my unused balance.What should I do? My mobile No. is [protected], on 4th February 2010 Rs.30.00 deduct from my balance without information, so tell me why amount deduct from my balance and credit the same to my mobile balance. I never subscribe any type services in the last. If I got not saitsfactory answer I written a complaint to TRAI and file a complaint to Conumer Form against the AIRTEL.
Airtel — Not yet get my Sim card
This is to inform you that my name is Ranjoy Ghosh my Mobile Nos is [protected] & my billing address is 2/36B Bijoygarh`3rd floor,jadavpur,near purbachal,kolkata-32 have not got my SIM card yet but today I received a welcome letter from you that my no. is activated from 22nd feb 2010.I have submitted all documents for getting post paid connection to your company's representative Mr. Prim Bhattachary.His mobile no is [protected].I have called him up several times for the sim card but his mobile is switched off.Please look into the matter positively.For any assistant please call me at [protected].
If I will not get sim card within 24hrs then I will have to withdraw from the connection.

AirTel — Did not give service
Sir,I am Deepak Singh. My number is [protected]. I used airtel as service provider but from last few weeks, airtel is not giving me proper service. i have try many time to contact with airtel customer care executive but every time i contact with them, they did not solve my problem and disconnect my call every time. Now from 2nd march, they have deactivate my account for contact with complain helpline number 198. I also use airtel's MOBILE OFFICE service for internet. but when ever i try to connect internet, it oftenly take time of more then 30 minutes for connect. some time i have to restart computer and some time i have to restart mobile but situation is same. it has become my daily routine. I contact with them by my subordinate for solve this problem. every time they give me time of 6 hours and said that they will arrange call back but still i never receive any call from them. One more problem is that after connect internet, while using internet, it automatically disconnect after 2 or 3 hours.
I am sick of the service of Airtel. this is my third complain against airtel from past month. I have every recording of their customer care executive. Please take an action against this Fake Company .
I hope you will support me and will take some action against this company.

I have lost my Lemon double Sims Cell phone on 6th June 2010 and I contact with Customer care many times to block my Sims. On 8th I submitted my document along with FIR at Mathura Bharatpur gate, Airtel office to Mr. Mukesh ([protected]).
My cell no. [protected], Mr Mukesh kindly has been issued me a duplicate Sim(no.[protected] but is not being activated till today (22nd June 2010).
I contacted with customer care many times (I was harassed) and finally they blocked my Sims after ten days.
(Mr Mukesh always try to ignored me regarding this matter. He never talked to me, if he finds that I calling to him immediately he keeps his mobile busy or cut the phone.)
Thus, my humble request to your management is to take a necessary step and activate my sim as soon as possible, as it is very important number for me.
