[Resolved]  Airtel Tamilnadu / Prepaid — excessive charging

Airtel in Tamilnadu charges for the usage of 58 seconds as 2 minutes. Only upto 57 seconds Airtel charges for 1 minute. If the customer makes a call and speaks for 1minute and 58 seconds he is charged for 3 minutes. I made several complaints to the customer service of the AirTel, but no action has been taken to rectify the defect in evaluating the charges. This kind of charging is adopted for all calls including ISD & STD. I don't know why Airtel considers usage upto 57 seconds alone is chargeable for a minute & usage of 58 seconds is chargeable for 2 minutes. Should the customers be penalised for patronising Airtel & expecting fair billing from them for their usages?

I have AirTel Moblie number [protected] from 2004 and bought from Madurai Simakkal AirTel Office as PostPaid number.

I have transferred to PrePaid number and got new Simcard on Chennai - Saithapet AirTel Office on 2009, Because i shifted to Bangalore for official.

For last 3 years, i am using my [protected] AirTel number with me only, On now the balance is also more the tow hundred rupees. But for last 3 to 4 days I won't get any tower for the same number and now i has temporary disconnect without any inform

Pl. take the necessary action for reply the same to my mobile ([protected]) or e-mail ([protected]@hotmail.com)

HI im eswar from chennai-perambur.. in recent days im receiving some anonymous sms like from palanaji about some poojas and like that.. so can you pls avoid those msgs from these anonymous no.s.. and one more request.. can you pls avoid taking charge for contacting customer care service because if we have low balance, and if we want to register a complaint or to ask any doubt, how can we make a call?? my no is.. hi, im santhiya from chennai.. i have using the airtel sim for last 2 years. day before yesterday i recharged rs 49 as message booster (3month pack) and i got the recharge message from the service. these things and all they will do it very will but they wouldn't show there response in what they really need to do. k fine, then i checked the message balance, it shows nil value. so, for they clarification i send a text message and checked the balance.. i loss rs 1 for a message from my current balance. i went to recharge center to ask the reason.i don't know where rs 49 is gone. but they told me to consult airtel customer care office.. from that second im making call to the airtel customer care and there is no response form them.. first i made a call to "198', and some instruction where gone, finally it gave instruction to press 4 to contact the people and so i did the same, but the call get cut off within 2 seconds. i thought that i may done a mistake, so i made a call again and the same thing happens for all call. so, i made a call to 123 and 121 and the same irritating things happened. i don't know what the peoples are doing there without attending the call. stupids, they wont get shy to beg for rs 0.30. only brainless creatures are working in airtel. using airtel service is better than to not having mobile. those airtel guy only knows how to steal public money. my kind request is don't buy airtel sim. i will create tension and make ur health and wealth week.. please don't do the mistake as i did.

I want the same no. to be activated so kindly please let me now the procedure to get the same no. active. And sence the no. is deactivate some of my business clientto hom I know by the no. only cannot reach them. One msg come from airtel daily from 01.09.11 that "bumper offer recharge with 10Rs and get full talk time first get 6Rs after 48hr you will get 4Rs " but i get only normal talk time

My Airtel Mobile No is [protected]. My airtel a/c balance is now Rs.40/-. But i can't make any outgoing calls.

why the problem is coming and another one last three or four days back my balance is reduced Rs.250/-. Why happened this. please solve this problem immediately and Rs.250/- credited in my account immediately.

i have airtel number for past 5 years and felt many time of migrating to some other operator because of this poor customer care reply. every day rs 1.50 has been deducted since i have given option to talk to 3 other airtel number some 5 year back. i have told them to deactivate that facility plenty of time but still it continues. if i don't recharge for one or two days and later recharge it automatically the amount is deducted for the leftout days . this really irritate me and this is not only for me to some of my friends too

Hi i am one of your customer from srivilliputtur town (Virudhunagar district). My house is at mettu street in this town. In our street approximately the airtel users are nearly 200. But in past 1 year we are having trouble in getting airtel network in our area. Me and my friends were registered many complaints on customer care, but no response and change. For getting coverage in our mobile we have to come out from our house to street. we cant receive calls and speak while we are at house. So accept this request and do the best earlier.
I am having an Airtel Prepaid connction for Tamilnadu bearing number [protected] and it is valid upto 05/2029. I am using this whenever I am at Tamilnadu area and I am also having another Airtel prepaid connection
at Bangalore bearing number [protected]. In Tamilnadu number I am unnecessarily receiving sms not related to me from AT-Imalmart, AT-SPoly,
Airtel-S-Mono and other related AT and they are debited Rupee one for each
sms received byme from my prepaid account. In spite of my repeated requests by e-mail to your Airtel, Tamilnadu circle, Nodel Officer, the
messages are being returned as undelivered.

Please look into the matter and see that all sms messages unconnected
to me are blocked to my both the phones. For your information, I am
an Associated Member in Consumer-Voice, an organisation of Consumer Association of India, New Delhi with the Presiding officer Mrs.Dr.Roopa Vajpeyi. If the above sms are not stopped and whatever amounts that have been recovered from my prepaid account for the last 4/5 months
are to be recredited to my prepaid account. Otherwise, I will take
up the matter with the above Consumer Forum to IRDA for the recovery
of the amounts debited to my account and also no sms not connected with
any AT should be blocked. I hope you will take action.

Airtel now a days cheating very well. If we have any complaints and make a call to their Customer Care and expalin about it, they will say will get rectify it in so and so days or hours. But if we still not yet get rectified then if we call again another person will took it. But now he will say differently when compared to first call. We also leave it and go to see our normal works. So again we won't get any response from them. Now if we called they will be answering like "No sir you have not yet recharged with that kind of denomation". Even if we argue no possibilities to get the amount refunded into our account. So think of it from per head or sim if they are cheating by 1 rupee unwanted, think of it they will get a lump amount of more than a lakhs from people, by doing the same to all others. So please don't allow them to get credited from our main account even a single one rupee. Today I have lost it with 169 from my main account.
