I was sent a parcel (study material) from CBD belapur DTDC branch on apr0508 to my Bangalore address charging Rs.400.
I have been in touch with these people since the very next day for the parcel was very important to me.
After 2 days i got a reply from DTDC customer service[protected] that this parcel is back to Mumbai due to wrong address, I did not buy this as the address was fully correct and I already have recieved many parcels on this so after I insisted, the representative lodged my complain (35990) on apr1508, today when i followed up with them she told that the parcel in delievered to your sender's address (system says) which was not true. I got in touch with frenchisee in Belapur and here is the truth.

The DTDC guy in CBD Belapur told me that the cover of the parcel got torn while on way to Bangalore (due to irresponcibility of DTDC) that is the reason it is back DTDC belapur.

Now they again want money for sending it back.

I have sevaral concerns..

1- If the cover was torn due to their mishandeling how can they tell me that your address is wrong.
2- Now as the parcel is lying in DTDC CBD belapur how can the customer service tell me that it is delievered to the sender's address that too with exact time.
3- Why should I pay for the fault done by DTDC.

I was sent a consignment (My purse containing my LG mobile phone and a Sony digital camera (worth Rs 25000 Indian Rupees) from Mexico city, by Garza Tello Y Asociados SC, Camino A STA Teresa No. 187-C PISO -5, COL. To my surprise I recieved my consignment in the open packet kept in a polythene bag.I was asked to check th contents right here in presence of DTCD emplyees. I was given a declaration form to sign.It had mention of every small thing except my digital camera.
The company employees told me that if the camera is missing I can lodge a complain. I am sure the sender had sent it with the consignment.
Can the company provide me any clue about where the camera went missing?If the need arises I can prodeuce the emails confirming that the camera was ent with the consignment.
I shall be grateful to anybody who can help me get it back.
I am ready to furnish any information neede in this context.

I have sent a courier from Bangalore to Varanasi on 18th March 2008. It was a cheque to be submitted latest by 21st. The DTDC guy said it will be delivered in two days. But today even after 8 days (26th March 2008), the courier has not been delivered. The consignment number was B43529072. When I called their Bangalore helpdesk number, they just took my cell number and said they will call back. Today again I have called and forced them to register a complaint. But even after this, nothing is happening.

These people are charging the entire amount of courier upfront and that's why they are not bothered about the delivery of the consignment. Shame on them. DTDC sucks.

A LETTER WAS DISPATCHED THROUGH DTDC TO INDIAN OIL COR.LTD VARANASI (UP) ON DATED 04.03.2008 FROM NEW DELHI. DOC NO IS- Z66984250. TILL DATE THIS LETTER COULD NOT REACH TO OUR ADRESS. I TRIED TO CALL DTDC OFFICE AT VARANASI WHOSE LOCAL TELEPHONE NO IS -3251713 & 3298054. BUT I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT DTDC OFFICE IS NOT RESPONDING. I TRIED CONTINOUSLY FOR 2 DAYS. THEY ARE NOT RECEIVING THE CALL. ONE TIME THEY SWITCHED OFF THEIR PHONE SET. THIS IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT SERVICE AT VARANASI IS VERY BAD. OFFICIAL SITTING AT VARANASI OFFICE IS VERY CARE LESS. PLEASE TAKE NECESSARY ACTION

I had sent a cheque through DTDC Courier & Cargo Limited on 20.02.2008 more than one lakh rupees to Sr. Branch Manager, L.I.C. Shahpura (Bhilwara), Rajasthan vide theirReceipt No. Z 64410457and another cheque on 27.02.08 for Rs. 2,386 vide receipt No Z 64655633 dated 27.02.08.

I enquired receipt of cheques from L.I.C. Shahpura on 1st March 08, I was surprised to learn that both the cheques are not delivered to them. I reported this matter to DTDC Courier & Cargo Limited, Sector - 18, Gurgaon (Ph No.[protected]/ Mob. [protected]). They were of the view that their services are not for Shahpura (Bhilwara). I asked why you have taken such delivery where you have no point of delivery. They assured me to return back the said packets containing cheques within 1-2 days, but till date I have not received my cheques.

I shall appreciate for an urgent action to get my cheques returned to me.

Here is the gist of the compliant email i sent across to DTDC, for which i have recieved no response yet.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been a very satisfied customer of DTDC and have been using your services regularly and have been recommending your services both in a official and personal capacity.

However, my experience today dealing with your customer service personnel ( I called at[protected],[protected],[protected] makes me rethink if I can confidently utilize DTDC for future shipments.

1. First off, the person who attended my call ( after 15 attempts, no less), abruptly hung up even before providing me a chance to look up the consignment number she was seeking. I had already given her the shipment # and was in the process of getting the consignment number when this happened. I am sure DTDC can do better than this in handling customer queries and in responding courteously to your customers.
2. What is the point in having multiple contact numbers, if there is no one to pick up the call/ respond to one’s queries ?

I was/am awaiting an important official shipment. Online DTDC tracking says it is in chennai Apex and I was wondering if I can directly pick it up , as I was not sure of the ETA of the shipment to my home in Nanganallur.

I hope you take this in the right spirit and address your shortcomings in this critical area of front end customer service.

DTDC is claiming himself as India's number one courier company on their site ( www.dtdc.com) , which will attract normal customers to do the business with them. They are also marketing their online tracking information tool, which will help customer to find out their consignment status over the web. But ground reality are too bitter, they are worst than worst from any low profile courier company.

I have booked one courier...

My consignment no: N91885469 was snd on 9th by me from siligudi dtdc.But DTDC didi not inform me regarding the problems that they found with my consignment ,like it being detected of electronic thing insidewhich was a musical greeting card,because of which the consignment remained held up first in dtdc kolkotha branch.Dtdc silligudi branch has been totally irresponsive there after regarding the issue and neither did they inform me the problem that occured.
kindly lodge complaint against DTDC,despite being a reputed agency not able to do justice to their costumer like me.

I have ordered an Item (Apple ipod) online through the
Manorama E-mart (http://emart.manoramaonline.com). On 11/01/2008 they sent
the item from Mumbai through DTDC courier service. Tracking the same on
DTDC site with the consignment number
M33753288 shows that it reached Cochin on 13th. Usually it will be shipped
to my place in one day. But even on 15th the status was showing item is in
Cochin itself. Then i called the Cochin DTDC office and they informed
after a bundle of calls that it seems missing. They told an excuse that
its missing and they dont have records of the shipment since there was no
power at that time. On 19th they confirmed the same (first they were not
ready to tell this when i called several times only they told me this) and
told that, "we can't do anything on this, if you want further processings
to be done contact the location where it is sent from". Since its an
online purchase i am not able to get details like where it has been sent,
who sent like that. I already informed the online store this thing but
they are not responding, since i already placed the full payment (I have
registred a complaint on this with No. 24970) . They (DTDC Cochin branch)
are not even responding to my queries on this. By a thorogh checking on
the records of shipment definetly they will be able to find the item, but
they are not even doing that. Now on my calls they are telling that some
senior persons are on leave and so I need to wait untill they came back.
These responses pointing me that item lost only due to their mistakes.
Please help me in the same.
Consequences : The item i orderd by sending them a DD of Rs.3445.

I had sent one envelope contain application form and DD to Branch Manager, HDFC Bank, Hyderabad on 09.01.2008 Receipt No. T24617866, which was the collection center for Sahara Classic Fund(New Fund Offer). Till date it was not reached to the HDFC Bank. After enquiring the HDFC Bank it is come to know that envelop not received. I enquire the DD issuing Bank then it was come to know that DD was also not honoured till date. So it means it was not delivered. Kindly do the needful

i had sent 4 ladies tops (chikan work) to lucknow thruogh DTDC courier services at purbachal, salt lake, near 13 no. tank on 9th december, 2007, whose consignment number happens to be K26010024. the consignment dispatched was checked by your agent and infact was sealed by him after verification.after sealing it was also inscribed by us on the envelope - CONTAINING 4 LADIES TOPS. the consignment reached the consignee on 12th december 2007, however, 1 of the tops value of which was rs.475 was not received by the consignee.
on the advice of the agent a written complaint was lodged with the concerned dealer at salt lake with copies to Branch Manager, airport and your regional office at raghunathpur.however, the complaint was not redressed. to pursue the matter further copy of the said complaint was sent by DTDC courier to your regional office on 2nd february,2008 vide consignment number K26741626. telephonic conversation to the regional office for early redressal has also been futile.
i would request you to take the matter earnestly at an early date.

On 16 Jan 2008 I booked a consignment 1+2, Consignment NO. Z63940319 to my home, from Nehru place -5. I was assured a delivery within 3-4 days but it didnot reach my home, it reached after a lot of complaining to the counter in Sivasagar. It was broken and one of its Parcel was missing. They said that it will be deliveder to my home but it was not my Dad had to come and pick it up from 20 Kms. Still one of my parcel is missing and my whole consignment that reached was broken. I paid Rs. 2880 to send this consignment of Rs.[protected]. I m in total loss of money, what should I do? I have the pictures send to me by email in which condition the consignment that was recieved.
Please Help me.

DTDC Courier- LOSERS and MANIPULATORS

Truth is Stranger than Fiction

I had dispatched a courier to Texas A & M University using DTDC International Courier on 5th of Jan, Airway Bill N91773069. Till 15th of Jan, the last update was on 8h Jan, Inscan New York.
A friend in California called up the Us office in NewYork, and they confirmed they cannot track the courier, and that I should file for claims. The Bombay office took another 5 days after this to acknowledge the courier is lost as they ahd yet to receive information frm the US office. ( someone like me, who is not even part of the company could do it before them.)

So I dispatched another courier from DTDC again, on 12th Jan, because the manager said she will send it via Alert for the same cost and promised me it would reach on 15th ( I paid for this one too as the Bombay office yet did not acknowledge the courier is lost , though I already knew if from The US office.)

NOW COINCIDENCE NO 1: New Airway bill number N91773060
(Only one digit difference)

So the courier dispatched on 12th stops showing any updates after 14th Jan, Insacn New York. I get frantic as the same story repeats again! My university would never believe me if I say my second courier is lost too! My friend again calls up the NY office and they give her a DHL tracking number for N91773060. (they outsource to DHL from NY) We get a DHL tracking number, and in the DHL refernce from DTDC, the reference number is Recieved from NY, 14th Jan, N[protected] !!!!! It is because of the 0 and 9 error that there were no updates on my N1773060 number after the 14th in NY. DHL said since DTDC typed that number, they can not do anything about the mistake.


NOW DTDC CLAIMS BOTH MY COURIERS HAVE MADE IT TO THE UNIVERSITY ON 16TH.

They have updated it so on both my tracking numbers.
And the tracking number of or both the Couriers N91773069 and N91773060 of their agent DHL is THE SAME NUMBER [protected].
HA HA HA,,,,,

At first I gave DTDC the Benefit of doubt as 0 and 9 are next to each other on the keyboard. But now when the claim both my couroers sent on 5th Jan and 12th Jan, recahed the university ob the same day 16th of Jan, I know what caused the mistake.

THEY MADE THAT MISTAKE SO THAT I CAN NOT FILE FOR CLAIMS.

Also, wen the Andheri Office acknowledeged to me that the first courier was lost, they said it would take THREE TO SIX MONTHS FOR MY CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED!!!!!

I AM NOT GOING TO BEG TO ANYONE FOR SO LONG. I WOULD USE THIS AS A LESSON AND TELL THIS STORY ON ALL CONSUMER FORUMS TO TELL PEOPLE TO AVOID THE MISTAKE I MADE, O[censored]SING THE DTDC SERVICE.

This service might kill all my chances of an admission/ assistantship to my desired university as my application reached them after the deadline passed thanks to a useless courier service. I have a very good portfolio, and was hoping for an assistantship, without which I cannot afford a US education. But this DTDC failure has cost me heavy.

Most regret to express my views about DTDC that they even dont bother about the customer. They just ignore the customer. On 10th January08, I had send a mobile handset by DTDC courrier..( They didnt ask me abt the goods and they just received it from me ) but when it reaches to my home, the box was very well, and there was no indication of opening, but the handset with charger was missing from the box, only they delivered the headphone inside it. This is DTDc.

Now they replying that it is my fault to send mobile handset not their fault. No you say what can I do?? I will just say that this DTDC corrier is really a cheater for people....

I am from pune on verge of losing an article sent by DTDC courier service to Mumbai. Its been 17 days now the article has reached no where, several callings to customer care and only answer I get is “the article is coming back due to short address” but the address was mentioned absolutely right and crystal clear on the article.

This is really a frustrating and very annoying experience for me with DTDC

Now I am middle of big email communication thread between DTDC officials, who are still searching and hung in the process finding my article.

After requesting again and again to take this matter on priority and deliver my item back to me ASAP, absolutely no response.

Sometime it looks so funny to me that I begging DTDC to return my own article, but by now I am starting to believe that they don’t have it anymore, some of there people might have stolen it.

As these days they are only recruiting Thieves in there company.

Most of the Indian people are starting to think these DTDC people are not trustworthy anymore and these thinking will multiply more with time on brand failing to deliver quality service.

Also customer service guys promised to respond in 24 hrs but don’t get back even in 48hrs and I am really feeling sorry for myself why I choose DTDC at 1st place when in pune I got all big courier giants like first flight, blue dart, Aramax etc they might be little expansive but important thing is that at least your goods will be delivery satisfactory and now I even started to think that Speed post seems to be a better option then choosing DTDC Indian post might be slow like tortoise but will eventually win the race in steady and consistence way.

It’s been bad starting of year 2008 with a loss of RS 2500/- and that too with brand like DTDC.

I request you guys not to send articles or parcels through DTDC because they have employed all big stealers in there company.

I recently send a DD worth Rs.25000/- to my mother in Cochin from Mumbai via DTDC Courier. It was meant to serve an emergency. I sent the DD on 8th December 2007. It was not delivered for 1 week. I tried tracking on their website and it mentioned consignment on hold, contact office. My father contacted DTDC Cochin office and they said they couldnt track the address and its lying in their office. We tried contacting them (both Kochi as well as Mumbai offices) but to no avail. Finally after 1 week of struggle from our part, they said that there has been a wrong delivery. They treated it so casually and when I said that it contained a DD, they acted the most irresponsible way they could do. They even shouted at us and said mistakes happen from everyone, what can we do? It was like the most irresponsible statement that could be given by them. They said the delivery boy doesnt remember where he delivered it. Usually when a courier is delivered, they take the signature and phone number of the reciever. When I asked for this, they didnt co-operate. I asked them to repay my expenses for the courier as well as cancellation of DD which they are not ready to accept. They are completely ignoring me inspite of my continued attempts to get in touch with them. Now I face a daunting task of going to the bank and providing a request for the cancellation with some documents on stamp paper etc. More than that the money I send during the emergency is of no use now. I'm just hoping that I could recover the money before someone encashes the DD. Kinldy help me to tackle this extreme form of customer mistreatment by DTDC. Awaiting your valuable feedback on the same.

I am very for your loss.
But you can go to consumer court for that incident.because when it is delivered it was not 1.4 kg less than of that.Probaly local kolkata agent tokk that.
Veryfy that whether it is a loss of a small thing..but you are legal get your right justice with sufficent fine money.

sir my girlfriend send me a gift on monday[protected]and still i didnt get my courier till now. so plzzzzz look at this.

I have sent one Booklet through DTDC Marathahalli Branch, Bangalore-37 to my native place Trivandrum, Kerala-11. in the name of my Father, Mr.K.Krishnankutty Nair on 21/11/2007. It reached to my Father on 23/11/2007. The envelope when he got was almost in celotaped form. When he opened, he has seen that the top almost 75% portions of the booklet is missing. The booklet, I sent was actually Sodexhopass Coupon worth Rs 2500 and what my Father got is only the last few portions of the coupon worth Rs.300. I checked it up here and the DTDC Courier Marathahalli Branch Manager told me that normally there are lots of branches, parcels will go before going to Trivandrum and it might have missed somewhere and hence he cannot trace it out. The Courier parcel number is B39304010.

I have sent one courier from MYsore to Sikandrabad (U.P.) on 3rd NOv. 2007. According to DTDC representative it will delivered on 6th Nov. But today is 17th Nov, it didn't reach till now. I am quering about that courier dailt in branch and they give me contact no for reginol manager Mr.Vyanktesh ([protected]). I contacted Mr. Vyanktesh, he said we are following up this consignment. from 7th he is repling same but on 16th he replied i can't do anything in this case as i m not handling Delhi region. I didn't get reply form delhi office. So contact delhi office.
In that consignment my assignment were there which have to be submit on 10th Nov. Due to DTDC couroier my semester has become worst now i am not able to sit in examination.Still it is not reached.

Other case happened with DTDC, my one friend sent one gift from Panipath to Sikandrabad (UP) on 10th. they have promised that it will deliver on 12th. But it deliverd on 14th.DTDC has stolen that gift and they delivered only empty box at Sikandrabad.

Can i get my money and that gift back?????
Please don't send anyu courier through DTDC.
