This is shrad kumar kavre, print maker artist from balaghat(m.p.). I had sent application form of fellowship by courier from shamla hills bhopal to Ministry of Culture (S&F) section, Shastri Bhawan new delhi by dtdc courier on 15 jan 2009. the deadline for this fellowship entry form was 6th feb. 2009. but till now there is no record or result related to this courier. I enquired about it multiple times but i didnt get any response from them.
Sir i sent this courier for the fellowship compitition organiszed by ministry of culture, govt of India. new delhi. I had waited for this fellowship compitition from a very long time and this year there are many possibilities to win the fellowship because i had achieved many recognition from many national compitition and secondly i am the few of them from all over india who is working in the graphic art medium. lastly there is no compitition with me from my m.p. zone in graphics these year. but due to these dtdc courier service i had lost my fellowship of 2 lakh 40 thousands rupees.

i had placed a order with flipkart.com for a book .They send it through DTDC courier, Tracking Number is: B51832791. when i search for it whether it arrived here or not i found it had arrived here for last 5 days and on asking them why i had not received it they keep saying and giving me different numbers and contact that person.but the whole process was futuile and i am not able to get.

I work for a company where couriers are frequent. This was my experience when my friend couriered me a document from Pune to Navi Mumbai.
He couriered the document on a Tuesday afternoon and they told him that it would be delivered on the following Thursday morning.
Thursday came and went. On Friday, I called them in the morning and lodged an official compaint with DTDC Head Office, Mumbai as the courier was extremely urgent. They promised me that I would get it by that evening.
I waited till the evening and called the customer care twice more. They responded okay, but it was obvious that no one had any idea of where the courier was. Their internet search engine said it was at Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
I called the Vashi office on both their numbers at least 20 times in the day. No one ever picked up. So I called the customer care, and the person called up the Vashi office, and this time someone did pick up. He said very coolly that it would only be delivered on Saturday. I told him that Saturday was closed at my office, and he actually said very rudely that I must work in some low class office where Saturdays were not half days.
So, I went on Saturday morning myself to the Vashi office. They were very surprised, and I asked them to just hand over the courier. After searching for one hour, the person told me that it had been misplaced. This made me so angry that I told them I was lodging a complaint with the Consumer Court and another with the Vashi Police Station. This made him panic and he told me to wait a few hours while he searched. So I went home.
In the evening, he called me up and told me that the document had been found. I did not trust these any more, so I told him to deliver it on Monday morning.
Monday morning came and went. In the afternoon, I called the person on his personal number again. He very coolly says that it was my fault that I did not receive it, because he was waiting for me to come and pick it up!
This time my Pune friend got into the action and lodged a complaint in the Pune station. This worked, because now the guy himself came rushing into our office and gave it to me. He did not even apologize, but had an expression as if I had tortured him.
What a bad company, and what terrible service. I will definitely never do business again with DTDC.

I am totally got pissed of with the level of quality of service offered by DTDC courier. I am expecting a courier on Feb 8 th 2009 and still i have not received it .

There is no escalation point to complain such a stupid system and i myself following up but nobody bothered to deliver it.

My one letter that is send on 04/02/2009 by ICICI Mumbai office to my Residential address- 2/52, Vivek Khand Gomati Nagar Lucknow, with POD M39818791 and same was return with the comment the OFFICE always closed and yet not received again.
I want to know one think that if the latter send to the Residential address that, can it mark return with the reason Office closed.

I have communicated for the same and mark a mail to known the status of same and give my personal mobile no so that if they feel any problem they can contact me on my number but nobody is call me are given the status for the same and I am not able to get that letter still.
Kindly take the matter on priority basics so that I can receive my letter it very important for me.

I have already launched the complaint on the DTDC site my no is FDB0021667. There is no proper response from them till now. The DTDC franchisee person misbehaved with me and told me he wont give me my courier.

In the morning I received the phone call from[protected] and started telling me there is courier for you and its from some school and i was waiting for that it was an interview call letter from school. The person who called me he told me that the courier is from school and kept the phone I just thought it is from call from school and they intimated me. When in the evening I came to home around 6:30 pm and enquired with watchman, he told me there is no letter for u. I called back on the same no. then i came to know its from DTDC courier service and the boy who called me is not here and he told me to come on 2nd day. as it was important call letter for me i just asked him his place and went to take the courier personally. The person was very rude on the call then also i just ignored. He started shouting on me on phone whats your problem? dont u understand u have to come tomorow. When i entered this franchisee the person again started the same thing " I told u to come tomorrow you came right now there is no courier at my sight. The boy has taken the courier with him and will come tomorow and u can take the courier at 11 am in the morning'. Then I started dont you know how to talk with customer and then both o[censored]s started shouting and he just told me I wont give your courier and whatever u want to do u do it.

The problem was I cant come out of office in the office time so tried to collect it in the evening and the person strated shouting and it all happend. I dont know what kind of services they run and they dont know how to talk to customers.

I have booked a packet to LIC, Perambra on November 4th 2008(with a DD from Federal Bank for an amount of Rs 7697.00 being my LIC premium) from DTDC Elamkulam (Kadavanthra, Kochi) as per the receipt[protected].The addresses on the cover are very legible and full with pin codes

On 4th February 2009 a got a communication from LIC Perambra stating that my policy is lapsed and has to remit Rs7901.00 to revive the policy. Then I contacted the LIC people from Kochi to Perambra and enquired about the cover I sent through DTDC and found not delivered yet. Then contacted your Kochi Br and heard that the cover had been returned as “non service area”.

I’m surprised to hear that the delivery or return is not done due to “lack of phone number” on the cover which carry full address with PIN codes.

I spend Rs.15.00 for the “funny exercise”.

If LIC didn’t have informed me the lapsation of my policy, I would have lost the DD for Rs.7697.00 which I have entrusted to DTDC and my Policy also.

Whom should I blame?

The poor citizen like me who opted DTDC with Rs15.00 than Indian postal dept. with Rs 5.00 (who serve if the address is little less)

Should I understand that DTDC don’t have any responsibility to inform a non-delivery to a client with full address?

If the phone number is COMPUSLSORY, it could have been rejected by your agency/it could have been indicated on the parcel.

Why it has been accepted for booking.

Why a post card has not been posted to inform the non-delivery in the given address. (That too could have been charged at the time of receipt of cover at the counter or forgo/fine your agent Rs 5.00)

3) Rs. 204.00 excess as I delayed the payment from November 4th to February 2009.+Rs 29.00 DD charge for the excess amt.

I feel very sorry to post my complaint against DTDC Courier, Mumbai. I had sent a courier to Jatni, Orissa with No – M37132846 on 24th Oct, 2008 from their Borivali, Chandavarkar Road office.

This consignment is still undelivered to the addressee with the reason that consignment has been intercepted by Sales Tax authorities at Kolkata.

I have been following up with Mr. Anand Patil CSS & Mr. Debasis H B, AGM Mumbai on a regular basis. I have sent a series of mails to both of them, but they just replied and never acted. I have been making frequent phone calls to them. They are now asking for some penalty. I am being cheated.

I am now fed up & irritated with their unconvincing reply. Every time they assure me that it will be done in 4-5 days but 3 months period has already lapsed. I am not sure whether my courier will ever reach.

I thought of highlighting this issue for public interest. I am surprised to witness this kind of pathetic, callous, irresponsible attitude to take customers on ride.

I wish to use your platform to raise my voice so that similar incidents are highlighted and customers are not taken for granted.

I expect my courier to be delivered or returned back to me with penalty for delay. Also a strict action should be initiated against them to avoid any repetition.

DTDC Franchisee jalandhar ( near SkyLark hotel) ask for very unreasonable price for courier.
when I send the parcel ( less that 250 gm) from Gurgoan to jalandhar, it cost me Rs 35. When I asked the same parcel to send from Jalandhar to Gurgoan, they asked Rs 100. I asked them to show me company price list which they did not show and with too much of overconfidence said that they will change Rs 100. Do whatever you want.

Most regret to express my views about DTDC that they even dont bother about the customer. They just ignore the customer. On 17th January09, My father send me by DTDC courrier from bihar to chennai. they told that it will reach upto 21th january but till now i did not received. I do not the status even. they have given the some recept. my father send me certificate through the DTDC courier.

A letter containing a draft sent on 10 th.Dec from Bangalore delivered in Chennai on 17 th.dec.On phoning and questioning initialy they sent a mail stating that the matter is under investigation .But on 20 th. they said/mailed me that it has already been delivered on 12th.Dec itself., according to the computarised message.But acutaly the man has been keeping it for 7 days and delivered it only on our persistant calls.I got a evidence for it ;from the man delivered' it onbehalf of the man who is suppose to deliver.

On 30th of December, 2008, I mailed a greeting card to Kolkata from DTDC's Magarpatta (Pune) brance, .
Inside the envelope, there were some gift vouchers and some other valuable papers.
It reached Kolkata on 1st of Jan, 2009 and handed over to the proper person. But inside the envelope, there were only the greeting card, all other items were stolen. It was quite clear from the envelope that it was opened before delivering.
Its not the first time the same happened with me regarding DTDC. 1 year ago I posted a calculator, and it was declared also. But the same was stolen too.
DTDC is full of corrupt employees/franchaises or the company dont care about customer.

I have contacted your customer service help line Mumbai/Navi Mumbai so many times for getting the information and I got these information today only(i.e. after 20 days). Your customer service dept is not able to answer my question for delayed service.



I would request you to please look into this matter and give me a satisfactory reply. I deeply regret to note that your service has worsen then postal dept. I spend more money for sending these letters through courier to deliver the destination immediately but your service was very pathetic.

I sent a courier through a DTDC franchisee from Pune to Jammu (Tawi) on 22nd October, 2008. Since today, i.e.15th December, 2008, DTDC courier team - either Pune or Bangalore never responds to my calls or mails. I have received just 3 e-mails in lieu of multiple e-mails and daily phone calls. I have spent more than 400 Rs. on phone calls to DTDC offices, while the actual consignment was worth only 250 Rs. Still the office people are not doing anything as yet about the consignment. The consignment was finally declared lost in last week, but still nobody is responding yet saying that they cannot do anything immediately, forgetting that almost 2 months' time is not an immediate time.
Now, I not only want my courier fee and consignment worth, but my bill amount as well.

I had sent a courier through DTDC couriers in Bangalore on 5th December 2008 (Tracking Number - U[protected]. The document was expected to arrive at Edappal(Kerala) by 8th December 2008 as per the promise of the person who booked the courier. The courier was to be sent to the Canara Bank, Kuttipuram Road, Edapal. I enquired 2 days after the expected date of delivery and got a tracking information that the courier had reached the Calicut office in Kerala by 7th. On Friday they said it will be definitely delivered and promised to call me on my mobile with the infoemation. But on receiving no calls, i went and enquired again. They said the courier has been misrouted. Its importand documents in the courier which was to reach the bank as early as possible and thats the reason I chose courier service. But I got a very bad experience.

I had send a parcel mumbai to dehradun but still is 6 days and parcel hav'nt recieved..when i called the Malad Branch they said we 'll check to the customer care so call after 1 hour still after that they said customer care is busy call more 1 hour ..when i called customer care they said wait for some time and they talking with there collegues for movie and dinner..after that they said we'll check and call u after 1 hour ...now its so many hours...no body knows from dtdc where is my parcel... now who is responcible for all this...

I had sent gifts worth Rs 500 through DTDC, Vashi branch.The company charged me a hefty amount for the same, promising me that the gifts will reach Gandhidham within 2 days. It took more than a week for the packet to reach finally. One of the total items, worth Rs 300 was lost (or stolen) by the company; also the packet was tampered with!I believe the company is responsible for such bad practice and it is extremely unprofessional! It was my fiancee`s birthday gift and I am really upset :(

I wanted to send a courier to Chennai. (i'm from bangalore).
When i checked with the DTDC domlur branch they told me to book it in special in which it reaches the other side by next day morning within 10 am. They charged Rs.120/- (whereas the normal charge is Rs.60/-). It is double the normal charge and i paid since it reaches early morning.
But when i checked with the party to whom i sent the courier, he was not received even at 1Pm the next day. When he approached the local DTDC chennai office, they told him to come and collect from their office.
DTDC courier service is the worst i have never experienced with any other courier. Also they are cheating the customer by forcing them to go for special delivery (which will reach late) and taking the money double as normal.

My Courier Number is Z80006435. My relatives couriered an important Wedding card on 6th November from Ludhiana.
On 15th Noember DTDC exec called my wife to ask about the house number details due to some problem. After that he assured us to deliver it on the same day. After waiting 2 days we contacted at the same number. People just don't recognise and trying to mould up the things. They provided their manager number which is always switched Off.
Today is 19th November, we haven't received courier yet.

DTDC is purely a fake organizatino with lack of management and responsiveness towards customers.
