One courier (Consignment No. -K[protected] was sent to me from Barrackpore to Baroda on 9th of April and I have not received it till today i.e., 16th of April. Whenever enquired it is informed from the Baroda Office (Phone[protected] that the courier has not reached to Ahmedabad, after which it will be delivered to Baroda.Whereas from Barrackpore Office they are saying it has already reached Baroda.After paying so much for the courier, it is complete harassment on our part.

I have sent 66 kg of parcel from Bangalore[Pin-560083] to Durgapur[713216] on 20th Feb 2009 through DTDC .

No Of Parcel : 5 pcs
Weight : 66 Kg
Content: Domestic Product
2 Bag Of Clothes
1 CPU (Desktop Computer)
1 Multimedia Computer Speaker
1 Box of Books

After few days I found the parcels are not reached even still now I didn't receive anything.
When I contact them they informed that DTDC cargo has been seized by Sail Tax Department Of Kolkata WB.

I conformed that all the valuables are Domestic and Bill Included (Speaker) and packed by DTDC after Security Checked.

2 weeks back I found 4 parcels are reached my hometown branch where all 4 parcel missing 1 .2 Kg of valuable from each.

There is no proof of Security Checked Tag By Sail Tax and when I contact DC Of WB Govt Sail Tax Dept, he clearly mentioned that without security checked tag parcels never been cleared by Sail Tax Dept.

1 parcel contain Multimedia Speaker (Domestic Product with Bill inside Made In Delhi) missing and confirmed that it was seized by Sail Tax.

After confirming from DC Of Sail Tax I have sent Rs.600.0/- only as fine through DTDC.
Unfortunately DTDC not submited the fine amount and still the Speaker seized.

I didn't receive any parcels still now where the Courier Charges is Rs.4000.0/- paid to Bangalore Main Branch office.

Now no body responding from DTDC and not ready to take any action, simply wasting time.

Please let me know what I can do in this case where Money value of missing parcel is more than Rs.20, 000/- ; and DTDC replied back that I haven't any proof of money value of the entire parcels.

Definition of the entire courier not taken by Bangalore branch as they assured me that there is no problem with the contents of the courier.

Kindly help me out to get back all of my 5 packages including everything.

WORST COURIER SERVICE : DTDC
Sent a high priority documents by DTDC, Bhubaneswar - 751 006 ( Unique Travels, Hotel Rajdhani Complex, Cuttack Road, Bhubaneswar) on 3rd Apr 09 to Singapore . Was Confirmed by Mr. G.B Mallik (the Owner) that courier will be delivered on 4th evening/not later than 5th morning.

Documents not delivered till 9th Apr 09 .

I missed joining a ship and incurred heavy losses.Mr.G.B Mallik (+[protected], continues to give false promises doesnt respond .

but no proper response.

we come to know on 03.04.2009 that DTDC sent through Gati on 30.03.2009 !!

NOW TILL TODAY i.e. 4.4.2009, no feedback. where is our cosignment.?

why they booked our consignment? why they send through Gati ?

We made so many complaint to DTDC but no official senior shows courtesy to call us.

I Garima couried my application form to reach my home town Dehradun on sunday vening, i was promised that this will reach Dehradun by maximum in 2 days, but now its been 4 days and when i contacted the authorities, they say that they will take one complete day just to tell me have that courier been dispatched from Delhi itself.

This is in regards to the courier that I was suppose to receive via DTDC couriers
It was a 4GB Apple I-pod that was couriered to me on 20th Feb, 2009 in GURGAON.
However, I haven't yet received anything from DTDC.

I got one call before 10-15 days from DTDC asking me whether I received any courier. I informed them that I haven't received anything yet.
The person on the other line told me that it is showing as delivered, I couldn't believe it and told him that its incorrect and that I haven't received anything.
The other person told me that he would forward the complaint and get back to me. But I haven't heard anything yet on that.

I checked on DTDC's website the status of courier (www.dtdc.in) and I saw that its showing delivered and received by SIGN ?
Well, let me tell you that I haven't received anything. I checked with everyone at my home and no one has signed or received anything.

Also a week before one guy from DTDC came to my place with the DRS sheet to verify my signature.
It was a forge signature. Coz the signature was as simple as "N.K" and there is no person in my family with the first name initial of N... also the name of the person who received the courier was writted as Nihal... Well, there is no nihal in my family too...
What I think is, someone from DTDC delivery boys must have stolen my courier and instead of writing Snehal in the receivers name that illiterate fellow wrote nihal. His writing was so pathetic, trust me.

I told him its not my signature and again I got the same response, " we will investigate and get back to you"
Its already 34 days and I still havent received my courier... I know I wont get the I-pod back, but I will definately ask for compensation from DTDC for this ridiculous act.

I am very much disappointed with the services of DTDC. Never thought that they would be so unreliable.
The least that they could do is... reply to my mails...

WORST EXPERIENCE A CUSTOMER CAN FACE EVER IN HIS LIFE.

I HAD A COURIER SENT FROM PUNE TO BANGALORE SARJAPUR ROAD BANGALORE CONSIGNMENT NOP10061092.

SARJAPUR ROAD KAIKONDRAHALLI HAVE THIS GUNDA DTDC FRANCHISE.

THIS OFFICE HAVE BANGALORE PIN NO-560035 AND MY ADDRESS IS ALSO WITH BANGALORE PIN NO-560035 ABOUT 4KM FROM THIS BRANCH BUT “GUNDA PEOPLE SAY THIS DOESN’T COME UNDER DELIVERY AREA.

AS I KNEW THIS CONSIGNMENT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME I CHECKED AND FOUND THAT IT WAS RETURNED TO MADIWALA BRANCH DUE TO
NO SERVICE. I CALLED AND TOLD MADIWALA BRANCH I NEED CONSIGNMENT THEY PROMISED BY EVENING THEY WILL DO DELIVERY.

AS THERE WAS NO RESPONSE I CALLED AGAIN AND THEY INFORMED ME IT WAS SENT TO CHAMARAJ PET BANGALORE HEAD OFFICE.

THEY GAVE ME ONE NUMBER AND THE LADY PROMISED ME THAT THEY WILL FIND IT AND MAKE ARRANGEMENT FOR DELIVERY.

NEXT DAY AGAIN I CALLED ANOTHER LADY CAME IN PICTURE AND GAVE ANOTHER NUMBER AND ASKED TO CONTACT ONE LADY IN THAT NUMBER.

WHEN I CALLED THIS NUMBER SHE IS ON LEAVE AND MAN IN PICTURE
TOLD ME THAT CONSIGNEMNT GONE TO PUNE.

WITHIN THESE TWO DAYS THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SO CALLED DTDC PEOPLE THAT IS WHY IT SENT BACK TO PUNE. DTDC
INFORMED THAT THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER ON THE ENVELOPE.

I CALLED THE SENDER AND ASKED THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE THREE NUMBERS ON THE ENVELOPE.WHEN I ENQUIRED PEOPLE FROM DTDC ADMITTED THAT EVEN IF AREA IS NOT UNDER SERVICE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO INFORM CUSTOMER AND ASK THEM TO COLLECT IT.

BUT HERE 3 BRANCHES AND HEAD OFFICE NOT DONE SIMPLE CALL.

FINALLY SENDER AGAIN RESENT CONSIGNMENT TO ME AND IT CAME TO SARJAPUR ROAD ‘GUNDA’ DTDC PEOPLE. THEY DIDN’T DO ANY THING ABOUT IT AND WAS PLANNING AGAIN TO SENT BACK EVENTHOUGH IN CAPITAL LETTER IT IS WRITTEN TO INFORM CUSTOMER AND URGENT.

WHEN I CALLED THIS PEOPLE THEY SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED INFORM THIS. BANGALORE HEAD OFFICE SHOULD DO THAT BUT HO OFFICE SAY THAT THIS FRANCHISE SHOULD DO IT.

WHEN I WENT TO COLLECT THIS DOCUMENT, THE BUFFOON SITTING THERE ADAMANT IN SAYING THAT HE WILL NOT CALL AND DO WHAT YOU WANT, YOU GO AND COLLECT FROM DTDC HO. BUT I TOLD HIM
THAT I WILL TAKE DOCUMENT, BY THE TIME ONE OF THE GUY PUSHED
ME SAYING THEY WON’T GIVE DOCUMENT. AS I WAS GOOD IN PHYSIQUE HE COULDN’T DO MUCH.
. BY THE TIME SO MANY CAME IN PICTURE AND HE WAS FORCED TO GIVE DOCUMENT.

I purchased a laptop in the name of my son.The company assured me two gifts on purchase. The consignment sent later through the same corrier has been recived by be at Mainpuri UP as per the given address.

The consignment did not reach Mainpuri and it is delivered at the DTDC Office at Aligarh to some fake customer. It appears that it is a forgery executed by the personels of the corrier company.
The concerned party i.e. Channel Technologies at Noida, has been asked to take appropriate action in this regard because it is the booking party.
But it seemes that they are also not taking any suitable action.
They have also harrassed the customer to a maximum level by not informing the things timely and not sending the meterial in timely.

I have sent a parcel from bangalore to payyannur(in kerala) on 5th march 2009 through DTDC courier service. The Consignment number they have given for the parcel i sent is B52152234.They told that it would reach there by 7th march 2009. I preferred the courier service to Postal is just because i wanted to reach that there before 10th march 2009. But as of now, it has not yet recieved there, and nobody exactly knows where my parcel currently is.. when i called dtdc office in kannur they are saying that its not yet dispatched from Cochin. when i called up there, they are saying that they are not sure about they have sent it or not... why these people are like this?without responsible?

I have used the courier service to coureir a packet with Delhi on Monday (2nd March 2009). The consigment no was Z86100879. However there is no details about the whereabouts on the websites. I tried their Delhi no[protected]nobody picks it up, the let the bell ring forever). other no[protected]picked by someone). First he transfered the call and I waited for 5 min in vain. Again I dialed somebody picked, transfered, but he was clueless. Told me that he requires the address so that they can go at the address and check. They gave some mobile no [protected], but this is also switched off.


The packet was the subscription amount for the magazine and the amount was to be reached before 4th March. However today is 6th March and nobody knows where is it. It has caused me mental agony and above all despite DTDC being such a MNC had a extremely bad customer service where
a) There telephone numbers doesn't work
b) They are themselves clueless about the work they do.

I had sent application form of fellowship by courier from shamla hills bhopal to Ministry of Culture (S&F) section, Shastri Bhawan new delhi by dtdc courier on 15 jan 2009. the deadline for this fellowship entry form was 6th feb. 2009. but till now there is no record or result related to this courier. I enquired about it multiple times but i didnt get any response from them.
Sir i sent this courier for the fellowship compitition organiszed by ministry of culture, govt of India. new delhi. I had waited for this fellowship compitition from a very long time and this year there are many possibilities to win the fellowship because i had achieved many recognition from many national compitition and secondly i am the few of them from all over india who is working in the graphic art medium. lastly there is no compitition with me from my m.p. zone in graphics these year. but due to these dtdc courier service i had lost my fellowship of 2 lakh 40 thousands rupees.
Sir my courier consignment no is V00979407. I am request u sir that please take action on it and kindly help me get compensation from them due to my loss of fellowship.

i had placed a order with flipkart.com for a book .They send it through DTDC courier, Tracking Number is: B51832791. when i search for it whether it arrived here or not i found it had arrived here for last 5 days and on asking them why i had not received it they keep saying and giving me different numbers and contact that person.but the whole process was futuile and i am not able to get.

I work for a company where couriers are frequent. This was my experience when my friend couriered me a document from Pune to Navi Mumbai.
He couriered the document on a Tuesday afternoon and they told him that it would be delivered on the following Thursday morning.
Thursday came and went. On Friday, I called them in the morning and lodged an official compaint with DTDC Head Office, Mumbai as the courier was extremely urgent. They promised me that I would get it by that evening.
I waited till the evening and called the customer care twice more. They responded okay, but it was obvious that no one had any idea of where the courier was. Their internet search engine said it was at Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
I called the Vashi office on both their numbers at least 20 times in the day. No one ever picked up. So I called the customer care, and the person called up the Vashi office, and this time someone did pick up. He said very coolly that it would only be delivered on Saturday. I told him that Saturday was closed at my office, and he actually said very rudely that I must work in some low class office where Saturdays were not half days.
So, I went on Saturday morning myself to the Vashi office. They were very surprised, and I asked them to just hand over the courier. After searching for one hour, the person told me that it had been misplaced. This made me so angry that I told them I was lodging a complaint with the Consumer Court and another with the Vashi Police Station. This made him panic and he told me to wait a few hours while he searched. So I went home.
In the evening, he called me up and told me that the document had been found. I did not trust these any more, so I told him to deliver it on Monday morning.
Monday morning came and went. In the afternoon, I called the person on his personal number again. He very coolly says that it was my fault that I did not receive it, because he was waiting for me to come and pick it up!
This time my Pune friend got into the action and lodged a complaint in the Pune station. This worked, because now the guy himself came rushing into our office and gave it to me. He did not even apologize, but had an expression as if I had tortured him.
What a bad company, and what terrible service. I will definitely never do business again with DTDC.

I am totally got pissed of with the level of quality of service offered by DTDC courier. I am expecting a courier on Feb 8 th 2009 and still i have not received it .

There is no escalation point to complain such a stupid system and i myself following up but nobody bothered to deliver it.

My one letter that is send on 04/02/2009 by ICICI Mumbai office to my Residential address- 2/52, Vivek Khand Gomati Nagar Lucknow, with POD M39818791 and same was return with the comment the OFFICE always closed and yet not received again.
I want to know one think that if the latter send to the Residential address that, can it mark return with the reason Office closed.

I have communicated for the same and mark a mail to known the status of same and give my personal mobile no so that if they feel any problem they can contact me on my number but nobody is call me are given the status for the same and I am not able to get that letter still.
Kindly take the matter on priority basics so that I can receive my letter it very important for me.

I have already launched the complaint on the DTDC site my no is FDB0021667. There is no proper response from them till now. The DTDC franchisee person misbehaved with me and told me he wont give me my courier.

In the morning I received the phone call from[protected] and started telling me there is courier for you and its from some school and i was waiting for that it was an interview call letter from school. The person who called me he told me that the courier is from school and kept the phone I just thought it is from call from school and they intimated me. When in the evening I came to home around 6:30 pm and enquired with watchman, he told me there is no letter for u. I called back on the same no. then i came to know its from DTDC courier service and the boy who called me is not here and he told me to come on 2nd day. as it was important call letter for me i just asked him his place and went to take the courier personally. The person was very rude on the call then also i just ignored. He started shouting on me on phone whats your problem? dont u understand u have to come tomorow. When i entered this franchisee the person again started the same thing " I told u to come tomorrow you came right now there is no courier at my sight. The boy has taken the courier with him and will come tomorow and u can take the courier at 11 am in the morning'. Then I started dont you know how to talk with customer and then both o[censored]s started shouting and he just told me I wont give your courier and whatever u want to do u do it.

The problem was I cant come out of office in the office time so tried to collect it in the evening and the person strated shouting and it all happend. I dont know what kind of services they run and they dont know how to talk to customers.

I have booked a packet to LIC, Perambra on November 4th 2008(with a DD from Federal Bank for an amount of Rs 7697.00 being my LIC premium) from DTDC Elamkulam (Kadavanthra, Kochi) as per the receipt[protected].The addresses on the cover are very legible and full with pin codes

On 4th February 2009 a got a communication from LIC Perambra stating that my policy is lapsed and has to remit Rs7901.00 to revive the policy. Then I contacted the LIC people from Kochi to Perambra and enquired about the cover I sent through DTDC and found not delivered yet. Then contacted your Kochi Br and heard that the cover had been returned as “non service area”.

I’m surprised to hear that the delivery or return is not done due to “lack of phone number” on the cover which carry full address with PIN codes.

I spend Rs.15.00 for the “funny exercise”.

If LIC didn’t have informed me the lapsation of my policy, I would have lost the DD for Rs.7697.00 which I have entrusted to DTDC and my Policy also.

Whom should I blame?

The poor citizen like me who opted DTDC with Rs15.00 than Indian postal dept. with Rs 5.00 (who serve if the address is little less)

Should I understand that DTDC don’t have any responsibility to inform a non-delivery to a client with full address?

If the phone number is COMPUSLSORY, it could have been rejected by your agency/it could have been indicated on the parcel.

Why it has been accepted for booking.

Why a post card has not been posted to inform the non-delivery in the given address. (That too could have been charged at the time of receipt of cover at the counter or forgo/fine your agent Rs 5.00)

2) 2 STDcall s to LIC, Perambra

3) 4 Local calls to DTDC

3) Rs. 204.00 excess as I delayed the payment from November 4th to February 2009.+Rs 29.00 DD charge for the excess amt.

4) Moreover the trust in DTDC.

Hope you may look into the matter and do the needful to redress my grievence
