An Important document (CBSE Rank Document) required for my daughter's Admission into NIT's was couriered from DTDC (Plus) Branch, Gajuwaka -Visakhapatnam-Andhara Pradesh on 29th June'2009 at 10:30 AM...Vide Consignment Number.V01702940, We were informed by DTDC staff that the document will be received at the destination (Surat) within 48 hours...Even till today ( 13th July'2009) DTDC staff could not trace this document/consignment and was not delivered to my address at Surat...The last date of Admission was on 5th July 2009 ( 1st Round) ...It was surprising, that reputed Firms like DTDC handles important consignments so casually..???...Please suggest, what actions I can take againist DTDC for not fulfilling the contract terms (timely delivery) and lost Consignment..?? I am attaching an acknowledment from DTDC

Regret to inform myself Debasish Sengupta had booked one packet containing RAKHI and some dress materials from your Vaishali, Ghaziabad office to “KISHANGANJ – BIHAR” under DTDC PLUS scheme vide AWB no V01882289 dtd 01/08/09
While booking I was advised by Mr. Rahul Bansal, your Booking executive to book the consignment under DTDC PLUS SCHEME for immediate delivery within 48 hours max infact I told him clearly the packet should reach the destination on or before 05.08.09 which was verbally confirmed by your representative at the time of booking.
I was under the impression that the packet has been delivered while checking with my sister on Rakhi day i.e. 5th Aug, I was informed she had not recd any packet / consignment from DTDC so far. I was really shocked then I immediately called up your booking executive to know the current status and I have been informed that

I was furious because refunding courier fees doest not solve my problem if DTDC doesn’t have service for Kishanganj then he should have informed or should not booked the consignment in other way I feel DTDC had cheated me and play with my emotions .
This is the case of committing fraud with me by the company and I desired to be compensated. The company was hurting me and plays with my sentiments.
However I have received the packet on 13th Aug, 2009 but I need proper action to be taken and also my compensation which is approx 15, 000.
