[Resolved] Godrej Refrigerator — Cooling Problem | |||
I bought my Godrej refreigrator Eon 240 litres around 2 years back. Everything went well for 2 years. Now it started giving me the cooling problem. I reported the complaint at Godrej Service center in Bangalore on 17th April viz complaint no. [protected]. Service Engineer came to my house and after lots of troubleshooting and 2 hours of diaognising, he came to conclusion that compressor is faulty. He told me that compressor is under warranty and you need to pay for change in Gas and service charge for which net amount apid by you will be around 1300. Service Engineer told me that Compressor does the cooling for 2 mins and stays switched off for 1 mins which is not the normal behaviour. Hence please go ahead with chnaging of the compressor. I said go ahead and repair the refrigerator. There was no response from Godrej and after 3 days I recieved a message that your problem is resolved and complaint is closed. I raised another complaint to Godrej Service center for not doing cooling by refrigerator on 22nd April with complaint no. [protected]. After calling them several times and persuading them, they came to my house to change the compressor. Compressor was changed on 25th April which took 4 hours with gas filling and everything. Service Engineer demaded Rs.1250 which I paid him. He told that now ice will be made in refrigerator and temprature can go below 0. To my surprise next day I was unable to see any ice in my refrigarator. I called the service Engineer on 26th April and did not got any response from him. Even they went ahead and closed my complaint. I raised third complaint for my same problem on 25th of April with complaint no. [protected]. Service provider people at HAL didn't bothered to pick up my call even after 100's of trial onto number which I had as [protected] and another mobile number as [protected]. I called them on saturday 28th April aroun 20 times and they informed me that we are busy in meeting and would be sending person in evening. Even in evening they did not responded to my call. After several attempts they told me that executive would be visiting me on Sunday morning. On sunday they did not even attended my call. After so many attempts they said that we'll come on 7th of May. Even 7th May they did not turned out. I called them back on 8th May and did not got any response. On 9th May they said that we'll come but never turned out till evening. On 10th May they came to my house and asked to empty the refrigerator and said that problem is with the freezer. Then he rechecked and after 3 hrs of diagnosis, he came to conclusion that the NEW COMPRESSOR which they replaced is faulty one. I am really fed of these Godrej Service Center people. Then again they said that we are going to come tomorrow with the new compressor and replace it. I asked then to collect my refrigerator and rectify the problem in it and deliver it back to me. It is none of by business how do you guys fix it. Now they have to come to my house to collect the refrigerator and I hope they turn out tomorrow. My vegetables and fruits worth Rs.1000 are spoiled due to refrigerator. Even daily the milk is getting spoiled as its Summer in Bangalore. I am really fedup with these Service Center guys. I would suggest everybody never buy the Godrej refrigerator as they provide the worst service in the world. I am very much disssatified with their service. Can you please help me. Godrej Refrigerator 400 lit — Cooling in summers
I have purchased a Godrej Refrigerator 400 lit in year 2005 from Goyal Radios, Sangrur. I faced a cooling problem in year 2007 and contacted the service centre. It was rectified and the service centre has sugested to go for a Mantainance contract. Now I have a mantainance contract (Application No 105355) till Sept 2009, but no maintainance. This year I am facing a problem of cooling. My refrigerator's auto-defrost system does not work. After few days a huge amount of frost deposits on the coils and the cooling process in refregerator stops. Many times I have complained about this problem at your toll free No. ([protected]). Every time they allot me a new complaint No. (964100, 967183, 972770). Only once a service man has come to check the complaint and promised to come back with spare parts. But, he never returned. Number of times I have called to the concerned person but he doesn't give any response.I just want to know that is it called customer care or customer harrasment?
Since Godrej has a good name in our countary, senior persons are required to look in to the matter and pay a due attention. Otherwise, nobody will believe in brand's Name.

Recently i faced the same problem with their service centre people.My godrej fridge was working but not cooling properly.I gave a complint to their authorised service centre ELECTRO CARE Malakpet Hyderabad on 22nd April 2008.They replaced the compressor and repaired my fridge on 24th april 2008( with one year warranty).As i was out of country for two months i noticed in july that my fridge was not cooling properly.Again in the 2nd week of July i complained to ELECTRO CARE that the same problem is there.Technician came and checked the fridge and told me to attach a new condensor which will cost another Rs.500/- apart from first paid Rs.4000/-.i agreed to that also but another technician came and told me that it is not nessesary to attach a new condenser and repaired it.After few days the same problem came to my fridge.I again gave a complaint to ELECTRO CARE on 17th of september 2008 and technician came and told me that he will fix a new condenser the next day.This is the sixth day of my complaint and he did not come.When enquired over phone they service centre people told me that the technician carried the condensor on 19th.This is the fate of our great GODREJ REFRIGIRATOR.
Godrej Fridge — my product is not working well
i have purchased a goodrej fridge from yadav electronic mahipalpur delhi. in july 2008 from last two month my fridge is not working well .i have complainted to goodrej company but they not responsd well. their employee visited many time but nobody to solve my problem in my fridge..it still in there...GAS LEAKED DURING NORMAL WORKING

godrej ultra-185 litres — cooling problem
complaint was also lodged on 20/10/08, complaint no.291050 registration no. attendent was to come next day but till date nobody attended complaint. phone on toll free no. does not exist, tel no. 25302233 is answering about sms only for 20 min . is this the care godrej offers?charges of phone call gives only pain . I would suggest now all my clients not to buy godrej product having lack of after sales service.
Godrej GDP 195P Refrigerator — Cooling Problem
We purchased Godrej GDP 195P Refrigerator from local dealer in Mahad on 16th January 2006. Within two days there was compressor problem for which the dealer replaced the entire piece with a new one. After two and half years, there was cooling problem. For which the complaint was lodged with the local dealer. There was no response from the local dealer. After 15 days a complaint was lodged with the Godrej call centre. Complaint no is 259964. After making several calls, the technician finally arrived who took 250 Rs as visiting charge, did nothing and left promising replacement of compressor with 3 days. It has been almost three months now and there has been TOTALLY NO RESPONSE FROM THEM.It is a pity and worth condemning the services of GODREJ.
I don't know where I should go for help.

I have a Godrej Double door. We had 5 year extended warantee (AMC) and now this has got expired before two months. In this period of 5 years, only once we had lodged a compliant which was attended well. Now we wanted to renew the AMC and also we have some proble with the fridge (there is no consistent cooling). Sometimes the fridge does not work at all and it gets corrected automatically. This has been there for the past four months and we have been trying to call service representative. We have told them that we wanted to renew the AMC also but whenever they come they say that fridge is working properly and till date there is no proper response for our repair and also for our AMC

My godrej refrigerator makes too much noise, so much so that I find it difficult to hear the TV, engage in telephone conversation. I wear a hearing aid and have to switch it off at home so as to avoid hearing the irritating noise from the refrigerator. But this results in missing many phone calls. The fridge was bought recently on 07/07.2008 from Vivek Ltd., JP Nagar, Bangalore.The sevice personnel have not been able to do anything about it even after my complaining.
Can the company do anything about it?

While running my refrigerator my current meter is showing reading daily 10 to 12 units. When
refrigerator is off ; on whole day the current meter is showing reading not more than 3 units daily.
This current meter I checked so many times ;; Once refrigerator is off & on, , , , .
Because of refrigerator I am getting heavy Electricity bill. I make complaint to Godrej Service
Centre (Toll Free No. [protected]) was in the month of 4th FEB 2009. The complaint no is 543929.
On that day one technician came and suggested that That is not a current problem. And He also
suggested that ""buy one component. Because of that component my refrigerator running with less
current meter reading. "" That component is Power consumption of Godrej company. It costs Rs. 525 /-.
And he took servicing charges also Rs. 250 /- Totally we paid Rs. 775 /-. But the problem is not solved.
Please solve my problem as soon as possible.

I had purchase Godrej Eon Refrigrator Model no -( GFE-36DY-APEX ) 342 LITERS.by giving cash payment of Rs 21, 020.00 /-only on 29.05.2008 . In oct 2008 i complain in customer care that my on of the shelf of my refrigrator is broken kindly replace it because my refrigrator is under garuntee period The company said they will replace it but they not do it till now . I had call and complainfor it many times and the result is not fruitful . when i call them they give complain no only and their engennier visit but they do not bring shelf to replace they come and do only servicing of my refrigrator.kindly solve my complain as soon as possible.THEY GIVE ME CALL NO - 733340 on 25-10-08 and CALL NO - 727681 on 01-01-09 and said your call is completed and the engineers said agar hum call closed nahi dikhaiyengay to hum ere lucknow center ko jo performance ka paisa milta hai wo katega.Mrs.Ranjana Rastogi

Actually few days back I had visited the stores to buy the One New Godrej Refrigerator Since My Old Refrigerator was getting defunct. Then the sales men there told there are several problems nowadays with godrej and do not expect any good service from them. So, I tried in other shops also where majority of them told similarly. So, even though I have godrej products of earlier make which were good it seems nowadays their quality in products have gone down too low. Similar Complaints were observed with Samsung Products also. So at last I quit the purchase of Godrej & also Samsung Products. Now, I am buying products of Other Companies.

Installed by a delivery boy (belive it delivery boy). Still I read the instructions & followed. Delivery boy asked for a tip & I also gave him.
There was a problem of cooling. I launch a official complaint on 5th-Sep. Comp. No. 263825.
After a regoures follow -up, servie engineer visited & declared that the piece is defective, need replacement. But my dear friends, please belive me, no body is in mood to replace it. Till date I have not received replacement nor any call from customer care. I spent almost 200/- for calling from my mobile & offcource time & petience. I lost my petience now.
I will not take any Godrej product in my life.
