[Resolved] HDFC Bank — HARRASMENT OF HDFC CREDIT CARD DEPARTMRNT
Let me narrate you the things happened that day very clearly. I alongwith my friend Mr. K.V.Mohan visited M/s Mobile Hut Electronics Singapore on 18/06/07 and purchased the following items :-
1) Nokia N-95 with accessories
2) Sony Portable Playstaion with accessories
The above items total amount came to SGD 1,570.00. Firstly We were giving them him cash but the vendor insisted to pay the amount in credit card as it would be advantages for us as we can enjoy the credit limit and we are not also required to pay credit card transaction fee. So we agreed to pay through credit card. I took out my HDFC credit card out of all other credit card available with me to swipe. He swiped the card in the machine present in his shop but didn't got any feedback in return, he again swiped but same thing happened and then he called up some bank guy to check why their is no feedback coming after swiping, they told that their is some server problem and you have to wait. The shop representative told me that he would take me to the neighbouring shop of their where we will swipe the SGD 1570.00 as the transaction is not happening at their shop credit card swiping machine. I went with him to the other shop and he swiped my card in the credit card swiping machine in that shop and in front of me we got a slip of SGD 1570.00 being transacted. The slip was from DBS bank and I have already forwarded that slip to HDFC Bank. I signed the slip as accetance and after that we got the bill and the GST return form for SGD 1570.00 from the shop. I have only signed in one lip of SGD 1570.00. Hw come this slip of SGD 590.00 came into picture, this slip never came in front of me and neither signed by me, that means the shop owner has doen some fraud when my card was swiped first in his own shop but we never got any slip and we have to move to other shop. Please trust me if I would have made a payment of this amount I would have never asked HDFC Bank intervention, see my record, if I can make payment of SGD 1570,00 then why the hell I should flight for SGD 590.00 payment. You guys should understand the client problem who has been loyal to your bank instead of harassing him and supporting the merchant who has done this fraud.
Tell the merchant to produce the bill for what I have purchased for SGD 590.00 and why the GST of the same was not included with the GST form they have filled for SGD 1570.00 transaction. I have already submitted my credit card for cancellation to HDFC Bank and due to this type of irresponsible behaviour from HDFC Bank, I would never recommend anyone for the same. I won't pay this balance amount until my views has been heard and justified that Iam liable to pay this amount. If I have to go to court or to media for the same I would do the same because I dint want any other customer to suffer like I did because of the irresponsible behavior from HDFC Bank.
