Non receipt of free gift offer

I purchased a laptop compaq presario v6409 during oct-2007 and i was entitled for a free gift offer. As reqd. I sent a dd for rs.600/- with all the reqd. Documents such as bill, original cardboard piece containing sl. No. Etc. After obtaining a number from hp redempiton which was noted on the bill and sent it to hp redemption cell, delhi, on[protected]. As per conditions - the item will be delivered after 8 weeks. I waited for 8 weeks.

But the party m/s hp redemption cell c/o solutions integrated mktg. Serv. Pvt. Ltd., a-2, okhla industrial area, phase-i, new delhi 110020 (Phone[protected] returned the only above dd (No.[protected], dt 17/10/2007, issued from indian overseas bank – chartola malanjkhand mp), but this party has not returned the other original document, which were sent by me. As per the party, they could not processed it due to the reason “ worng name – i. E. Solutions integrated marketing services pvt. Ltd.

For the free gift offer, the party was unable to process the claim due to the reason that wrong name was mentioned as "solution integrated markreing servicer p. Ltd.", which is not correct. The name on the dd was hp redempiton cell, delhi, only.Instead of sending the gift after 8 weeks, dd was returned to me with the noting wrong name, that too after say 9 weeks. If there was an error, the same should have been intimatged to me immediately rather waiting for more than 8 weeks and not sending the gift as per the conditons. Kindly advise on the issue at the earliest.

HP Pavillion DV1000 — Recovery Disk Not Working

Place Of Purchase : CARE OFFICE EQUIPMENTS PVT LTD, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

My system got infected by some virus so i took it to the Hp Authorized Service Center at Ahmedabad during the warranty period .
The engineer there told me that your hard disk needs to be formatted and asked me to prepare the Hp Recovery Disk . When i got my system back it was working fine.
Sometime later after the warranty got expired when i wanted to run the recovery disk it was not working and i observed that the engineer at Hp Authorized Service Center changed the motherboard of my system
without my permission .

HP / DV 6000 — DV6000 model Purchased from US not supported in India in spite of warranty period

I have purchased a laptop from US few months back. The laptop model no. is DV6000 / Serial No. CNF7350YJW / Product ID RX942AV. The laptop was not working. I contacted HP Service Centre in Kolkata. They told me that the parts (mother board issue) not available in india. It was 2 months back. The model is now available in india. I contacted HP service centre again. They told me that the hardware service is not provided. This is very unfortunate that if someone purchases laptop outside india, they are not supported. What will I do with the laptop if i cannot repair it. I am within warranty period.
i have purchased a compaq presario laptop: A901TU, with windows Vista home basic preloaded.
(it has conexant HDaudio as the sound driver. )recently, i connected my guitar to the laptop, and i want to hear what i play, live.
the windows sound recorder records what i play, but i am unable to hear what i am playing.
i tried to look online for a solution, and have come across all possible alternatives like enabling the wave-out option, increasing the mic. input volume level, etc., but no avail.

How do i edit the registry so as to enable microphone playback ?
(It is possible on other laptops with sigmatel drivers) Please tell me how to do so in my conexant audio driver.

Hi..

I bought HP laptop Presario Compaq A3424AU on Oct 2007 and its only 6 months old and is in warrenty..

-- I have not moved my Laptop anywhere and one fine morning the LCD panel was not working..

-- it is surprising without any of the below happenings,

1. it has not fallen down. There is no body scratch or breakage
2. There is no pressure applied or anything such things happened..
3. Not taken the laptop anywhere during my travel..it was just static at my home used by my wife for sending emails and for home work purpose and it is hardly used and it was for my home purpose.

-- HP claims i would have put some pressure without knowing and it would have broken..Certainly it was not used at all and it was just kept on my computer table.

-- I strongly believe the LCD display may be a defective piece and may be got passed the quality test on the edge.

-- I would want your help to proceed further...

HP_Pressario V3000 — Problem in mother board

Sir, I bought a laptop in Jan'2007. But, i face problem after 1 year warreny. One day, i shut down the laptop properly. After 1 hr. latter, i open it, but nothing shows in screen ( but, power on ). Hp says- " it's a motherboard problem. Change the mother board ( Rs. 24000/- ). There is no alternative option."
My Complain:
(1) Poor quality Serving ( it is batter to say - replasing work, lay-mans work)
(2) Low quality Chines Spares mainly mother board, Ram.
(3) Servicing procedure are in long turm.
(4) No buisness ethics in india.
(5) Mother board price = Laptop price ?

HP Invent — Not able to get in touch with the Customer service

hi i'm Adil Aboobacker, i'm in Bangalore and i've tried contacting with the Customer service in the following number:[protected] and[protected] but the call is getting disconnected automatically.
i have purchase presario c700 and now its not working and showing the boot failure and press any key option on the screen
what i do . plz help i purchase it on march .
At the time of purchasing the notebook they specially recommends that you make a recovery cd for ur laptop so that in future u can set ur laptop to default factory settings(initially installed OS at the time of purchase). For drivers u can get it from hp site.

HP — Evading responsibility

The LPG connection (601187) has been thru a dealer "Jai Ambey Gas Services"of Supela, Bhilai for the last many years. From the newspapers we were given to understand that the dealership was cancelled or suspended for malpractices. Consequently, no supplies for months together.Now, the dealer has reopened but says that our connection is transferred to some other dealer and that there was something in the papers about it.
Should not the company (HP) or one of the (old / new) dealers have the courtesy of sendind a small mail to customers individually. All customers cannot be expected to scan the papers daily waiting for news on the subject. The Gas cos. are as usual taking the public for a very costly ride.
i have c707 tu model so i need the original driver's becouse my headphone giving sound + speaker also give the sound when i plug the headphone...give me the solution also.

HP Compaq Notebook — bad machine

I had purchased the above laptop on 18/01/2007 and it started giving problem in the month of Jan 2008. I had given it for servicing to your authorised centre at gurgaon in January . After investigation, he told its mother board is to be changed. No detail of the defect observed and rectification done was given to me in writing after repair. since it was working satisfactory, I also did not bother for collecting details of repair done by HP service centre. The same defect is reported now. It appears that temporary repair was done or some other old piece has been replaced in my laptop so that it should work for sometime. since the laptop at first repair was under warranty period and replacement was to be done free. permanent solution is not done.and it started giving problem again within few months of repair.
As the laptop started giving problem within warranty period, there was manufacturing defect which was not properly repaired during the warranty period, so it is my humble request to repair the laptop treating it within the warranty period. And I have got to Know that they are facing this motherboard issue in this particular model but stll no public declaration has been done regarding this.
Kindly acknowledge and also hoping for favourable response.

Hewlett Packard, HP Pavilion DV9295EA — HP Customer Service Horror

This is just to point out the lemon of a system that I purchased from HP - a HP Pavilion dv9295ea. Over the last 14 months of its life, it has been having problems for 9 months and out of that 9, the notebook has been undergoing repairs for 3 months (being unable to fix it satisfactorily).

Finally, when it was fixed, they put in the wrong motherboard configuration. I then requested HP for a replacement. This was agreed to in principle but I've not got a response from their office (as promised - 72 hours tops) so far - I've called about 7 times over the past 15 days and they keep pushing the call back by 24 hours every time.
