My name is Vandana sharma on 25-May- 2007 I got enrolled into an MBA program from ICFAI under enrollment number MBA2095481. My situation went bad and wanted to discontinue the program... on 20-May-2007 i wrote them stating that wont b able to continue this... but they denied stating that u'll have to continue this as I've signed the contract... what contract are we selling education... i am from a very poor family and cannot afford to continue further studies... but who understands... I paid Rs. 10000 as advance payment and for remaining fee I opted for EMI payment of fees of Rs. 4323/month for 18 months. I had one cheques at the time and the sales guy from ICFAI forced me that that particular day was the last date and told me that I can give one cheques for Rs 77,814, as a promise note that i will replace this cheque with 17 cheques for Rs. 4323/month within a month. As far as we are concerned, Icfai is a private university established through an Act of State Legislature and offering the programs as per UGC/DEC guidelines. Please note that online registration facility has been developed in such a way, that is very helpful to all the student. Its just the matter of 15 to 20 minutes to complete the registration and see the conveneinece students don’t have to go around banks for DDs, and any offices.
Even if any student faces any problem regarding registration we can write a mail to [protected]@icfaiuniversity.in and the problems are resolved very soon.

I took addmission through Icfai for MCA in 2007 and paid my fees in 12 EMIs.They told me that they will conduct regular classes for mca student.however I went daily to find out class but for 15 days I went the location which was told me by ICFAI brach bund garden, pune but unbale to find the class for MCA. Then I decided to study on my own and start ant attempt exam, but I couldn't clear it, .now I need my all fees refund because ICFAI never conduct class or never help student once they got the fees this not my own experience I have two of my friends who have taken addmission with me.my Enr No--[protected]
In view of all your complaint i can understand your concern. But in my views Icfai university is clearly stating about the terms and condition of payment fees. Monthly instalments is a facility which is given to you by the icfai university for your convenience of making payment. But it doesnot mean that you will not to pay icfai university just because of your ill health or your failure to pass the program, or failure to continue the program or of any reason. At the time when you joined the program you bound and commit yourself that you will pay the fees for whole program. It is a default on your part that you cannot continue the program because of any reason and not that of icfai.
But yes, however you can forward a suggestion to icfai to collect semester-wise fees or group-wise fees so that in future if you want to discontinue the program they(icfai) may not held you liable to pay entire program fess but only a portion of fees for the group you have presently attended and a little fees as a penalty of discontinuing the program and that's it.
As far as other institition are concerned they are also not charging the entire fees in the situtation when a student discontinue the program.
I request the icfai university to take a note of this to avoid such type of complaint and harming its popularity.

I cannot comment anything without knowing about ICFAI, but in fact I also planning to join MBA program of IT in this university so after seeing this comments and everything i am changing my mind but please friends anyone suggest me I have completed my Graduation of BSc IT through KSOU correspondence and in currently working, so planning to join MBA of IT because my future plan to join for Oracle DBA side so anyone i request you to suggest me which university will be best in MBA of IT or ISystems for Distance education. I would totally agree with these complaints against ICFAI.they just want money and they would even make students fail just to get more exam fees.I have cleared all groups of my course in 2009, I enrolled in 2003.They just want money, also people laugh when you tell them that you did your masters from icfai.NO VALUE AND FRAUD UNIVERSITY

Hi, my name is Sreenath Narayanan.i have joined for MBA distance programme in ICFAI university on 15/07/2009 and my enrollment id is[protected].but now my situation went bad.i dont have any job and i dont have income.but the university people charged complaint against me in the Hyderabad court.i am not able to do anything.i have already send a letter contains that i am not able to continue my studies, last year December.but i didnt get ant reply from these people.the sales guy is from ICFAI Calicut, Kerala branch and his name is Biju Janardanan.This is such a stupid thing n such a democratic country this things has to be taken care by Hon.Supreme court of India and provide justice to the students and penalized these types of organizations.ICFAI is a blood sucking, money making fake university..BEWARE...

My story is also listed on site for non-refund. Lets all unite together and get help from the consumer protection law where if a service is not been taken the refund can be taken... so i request all to come up together and file complaint at Consumer Rights Protection Council, lets get the justice for recovering the hard earned money of our parents by a united effort.
We the students of the ICFAI university Shillong, Meghalaya are facing the same problem as you all guys are.. We are totally being fooled by this money sucking man made machine... We are helpless for sometimes as our career is at stake, .. but the more we wait the more they crush us... so we are taking a stand regarding all the issues and concerns that we are facing and demand a clarification from the Head quarters, Hyderabad to visit Shillong and dissuss the matter and satisfy our demands... There are lots of politics going on in the university here and we are unaware of any situation thats going on.. Changes have been made regarding issues .. We enrolled ourself in this university for an opportunity and for the good future and to get good jobs as well.. but it came in to the light that all the assurance that we got was nothing but lies and lies and lies... one lie after the other.. We are taking a stand against their policies that can hamper the future of the students as a whole...we are also ready with the Press to ensure that they don't beat behind the bush There are more issues that I can't write here..

Very few like you as just not able to clear straightway blaming the university creating bad image for yourself.

I do understand the frustration level of the student but my views are very clear. Student know the fee structure of the university and also it is very clearly mention in the prospectus as i am also doing MBA from ICFAI, that fee will not be refunded. Which university or institution refund fee. Not a single one. Though ICFAI fee is high but course are also very updated. These programs are for the people who want to study not for the people who want to waste their parents money.
