Following is the mail i sent to makemytrip regarding my bad experience caused by them. All i get as a reply is sorry for the inconvenience.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in regard with one of the worst experience any individual could ever face with a hotel booking through make my trip. I am one of your loyal customers and have had a very good perspective in regard with make my trip for any of my bookings. But this time was extremely humiliating and careless that we were shocked beyond terms that I could express it in. I got a confirmed booking for the hotel stay when I booked through the Makemytrip (MMT) site – Annexed hotel confirmation voucher. Within an hour of the booking, I got a call from a MMT representative stating that there are no rooms available for my CONFIRMED booking even though MMT site showed rooms were available when I did the booking at first. He agreed, it was a MMT Mistake and guaranteed me he will look in to the matter immediately (in Couple of hour’s time) and book me an alternative better hotel and the extra charges will be borne by MMT, if he’s not able to get a room in Seagrapes Gardens (The originally booked hotel).

But I didn’t receive any assistance or calls from MMT-shows your MMT team’s wonderful customer service. I had to call back at 12 midnight when I was on the way to Bangalore to confirm my place of stay. MMT team wasn’t available at 12 in the night obviously though you call yourselves to be a 24*7 service providers, so the customer care representative ensured me that the problem will be flagged as important/emergency and MMT will get back to me 1st thing in the morning at 8am. I was in Bangalore on 18th July morning with an unconfirmed booking. As expected, I got no calls from MMT till 9 in the morning inspite of me informing the representative that I have a client meeting at 3pm so it’s imperative that I check in to SOME hotel by 12pm. I called back 4 times between 9 to 11am. But for all the calls, MMT representative on the call could only say they will revert back after talking to the team that is handling these problems. At 11am I was in Bangalore didn’t know where to go as MMT still had an unconfirmed booking for me. I don’t think MMT Call Center doesn’t have an outgoing call option. I had to call again at 11am and shout at the representative to look in to the matter and give me a solution. Finally After all these hassles the MMT representative on the call (AFTER I CALLED AGAIN) tells me there’s actually room vacant at Seagrapes, Bangalore itself and my booking is confirmed.

To my horror on reaching the hotel at 12:30 pm, the hotel incharge informs us that there are no rooms available. He also informs that no MMT representative called the hotel on 18th July morning and got a confirmation that the hotel had a vacant room for the particular day. Infact he told us that he had already informed MMT THE PREVIOUS DAY ITSELF -17th July that there are no chances that any rooms will be vacant in Seagrapes for the next two days i.e., 18th and 19thby means of an email. Again the process of calling MMT customer care started. We would have called around 4 to 5 times since then and all that the representative (Ms.Nausheen Mansuri) could do was blame the hotel squarely and repeatedly for the blunder and asking the hotel to do an alternative booking instead of immediately addressing our problem. At even 3pm, we were at the lobby of the hotel Seagrapes (Without bath and even lunch) not having a room to stay at, inspite of me having paid Rs.3152 and more importantly for no mistake of mine. I had to cancel and postpone my meeting to evening which was very embarrassing personally for mine. This drama went on from 12 to 3 and we were causing so much of an inconvenience to the hotel authoirities of Seagrapes, though they were extremely supportive in regard with our matter and were very much hospitable. In front of my eyes the MMT representative was blaming the hotel authorities again and again and was not coming to any kind of conclusion leaving us still without a room. After a very heated up argument and after requesting to talk to a higher authority, I was finally connected to Ms Padma who said would get me a solution and after half an hour she gave me a Room at the Chancery Hotel confirming that the room is Premiere Club Room. We agreed to it –as we had no other choice (As per your site -Rating of The Chancery – 4/5, while Seagrapes -4.5/5) and when we landed in that hotel, we were shocked again that the room was just the normal ordinary room and not a premiere club room. This much atrocity the MMT team had to cheat us yet again and give us some other room and not what was promised to us. The mail confirming the hotel stay at The Chancery didn’t even contain the details with regard to Room tariff details.

When we asked the representatives of the hotel in the evening in a casual manner, we get to know that our room is just a standard room of the hotel. This is just not done. We booked Seagrapes Hotel purely on the in good reviews given on your site and we had ended up staying in Chancery which honestly was really shady and Dull (reviews on your site aren’t that good) and that too had in to check in at 4:00pm. My day was literally wasted. So much confusion, cheating and embarrassment is not what we expected from Make My trip and we are not planning to book or refer any one whom we know to book through make my trip. Infact I Stayed in Bangalore for the next 2 days and I booked my stay through a different travel website. My 1st preference was always MMT (I’m a regular traveler and my bookings past two years have always been through MMT whether it’s booking for flight or hotel, along with friends my bookings through MMT would surely amount around 50000 Rs last 2 years).

But the most that hit me was, not even a call I got back from MMT to find out whether our stay was comfortable or not at THE CHANCERY HOTEL due to all the inconvenience by you people.

I really don't care whats going on between makemytrip and Hotel Seagrape. Its irritating to know that, you guys are still playing the blame game of who's fault it is whether the hotels or yours. Whether hotel confirmed and later denied or whether you guys did the mess I JUST DON'T CARE.. I booked my stayed ONLY THROUGH your site and it is the responsibility of ONLY makemytrip to ensure my stay was confirmed and booked in the hotel for what i had paid. I DID'NT EVEN receive a SINGLE CALL FROM YOUR SIDE to confirm my booking even after i complained about my non confirmation. My whole trip went for a toss due to the confusion created, I checked in at 4pm when i'm supposed to check in 12pm and only later to be booked in a hotel of NOT MY CHOICE which was very much sub standard compared to the one i was supposed to be staying!..

After all that has caused to me, all you say is sorry for the inconvenience and write back for assistance! You guys really don't care i had a really bad experience and that you will lose out on a regular customer. Are you really part of Customer Delight Mr.Anshul because you really dont seem to be bothered about customer satisfaction and customer continuity only. Do you think your template sentence of sorry for the inconvenience is going to make up for me missing my meeting on that day! Is this what you do for customer delight?! Atleast the person who called me last night from makemytrip was courteous enough to ask me what shall be done for my continuance for booking through makemytrip! I wanted either my moneyback or free voucher for my next booking! He said he will check it up with the team and call me back. Of course i didnt get a call back after that.

Im really suprised and shocked to know that you guys dont take these seriously and do something really delighting the customers when some inconvenience on your part has cost them.

I get No repsonse from moneybackguarantee too, for the lone fact that i didnt even get to stay in the hotel that i booked for! Isnt that a mismatch?! I Checked in at 4 pm and ended up not availing the 12 to 12 hr check in check out! Isnt that an enough cause?

I'm travelling to bangalore on august 11th and this total non bothered attitude from makemytrip for my horrendous experience with you had put me off and don't want to book through you. I Guess that's definitely ok with you too! Unless you come with really delightful mail don't even bother mailing back!. anyways i highly doubt you will even to reply itself for it to be delightful only!

    As my tickets were partially waitlisted, I tried to cancel the confirmed ticket. I contacted the customer care through phone no. [protected], informing the cancellation of the confirmed ticket. They asked to file an online TDR for the confirmed ticket and the other ticket will be refunded automatically into my account. I did the same and again called customer care, confirming the status of TDR filing receipt and they informed that they have received the request. But I did not receive any refund after one month. So I contacted customer care through phone and asked the refund status. They informed me that it is in process and it would be done by 10 jul 12. But i did not receive any refund till 10.07.12 and again asked their customer care. They informed that I had to file TDR for the waitlisted ticket and since I did not file it, the refund was not processed.

    I feel cheated by the travel agent and send an email to their customer feedback on [protected]@makemytrip.com. But till date i have not received any response from them. Kindly help me as the agent did not offer me the service and took the full payment. On asking the refund, no response is received from the agent.

    I want the full reimbursement of the refund of the tickets as soon as possible.

      I've 2 complaints against MakeMyTrip.com:

      1. I'v booked a bus from Tirupur to Chennai for 24th July. It's shown as Sleeper Type bus in makemytrip.com website, but I was shocked when I see that the actual bus type is Semi-Sleeper.

      2. Immediately after checking the bus, called MakeMyTrip.com customer care and explained Mr.Sumit about the issue. He promised to get back within 15-20 minutes. But he never called me back.

      This message is regarding booking Errors on makemytrip website. Makemytrip.com is showing Flights on the search page which are not operating with a message "Hurry Few Seats Left" . When I click on the book button, it shows the message "Confirming Flight availability", after this goes to the booking page which confirms the flight availability. And after the payment is made, Makemytrip.com displays this message "Sorry! Your booking has failed!" . This has been done 2 times for the same airlines and same date. Before the payment transaction there is no error and after Makemytrip.com has taken the money, they display an error message. Adding to this, when i checked the Flight availability on the official website of Air India for the same date and destination, no flights were shown. This proves that they doing fraud/420/bogus flight bookings, they are using this website as a tool to make a fool out of public and misusing their money. They have done the same thing to lakhs of people in India and please beware of Makemytrip.com .

        Hi, I was travelling from Mumbai to Dehradun on an AirIndia flight : - Air India - AI-864 from Mumbai to delhi and on Air India - AI-9819, I got an SMS a day before travelling that my Delhi DDun flight has been scheduled to 29th June. I called the makemytrip people and said put me on another flight or let me know the procedure to get refund, they told me to refund i need to cancel the whole ticket and re-book this again which was then costing me around Rs[protected] where I had booked my fight ticket for just Rs.4933.

        I traveled from Mumbai to Delhi on 28th and got an sms on the same day that my flight for 29th has been canceled, when i tried reaching airline to provide me with refund amount, I was told that ticket was booked through makemytrip and they can only claim the amount. I have been chasing makemytrip but I am not getting any response, they say that they do not have any updated information about the flight cancellation for 29th June and I need to visit the nearest Airline branch office and collect a stamped letter stating that flight was canceled from 29th June then only they will provide me refund.

        Why should a customer chase an airline when one has booked the tickets through these middle agencies??? what is the role of these agencies?? if they cant help the customer then I don't think they should exist.

          I made a booking with makemytrip.com for a british airways ticket from mumbai to phoenix via london and chicago on 23rd june2012. I later rescheduled my london-chicago flight for an earlier flight on the same day since I had to travel with my colleagues and I had not got the same flight as them i.e. BA 295 when I booked initially.I called make my trip many times to check for availability in ba295,and on 17th july 2012 ,their employee told me there was 1 seat available and I would have to pay 5900 inr extra to get a seat in my desired flight(4000-charges of british airways for date change+500-charges of makemytrip+1400-price difference in the previous ticket and the one I wanted)and I paid extra 5900inr to get my desired flight from london to chicago.But I kept calling them daily ever since, since the correct ticket was not available on my account in make my trip and they told it is a technical error.Now they are telling me that the employee who made the change in my itinerary made a mistake in pricing the ticket due to which I am not getting the correct ticket although the itinerary on check my trip and ba.Com is correct and they are requesting me to give another option whch is absolutely impossible for me.I have paid to have the following schedule along with my colleagues: mum-lon - 2nd aug - ba138 lon-chi - 2nd aug -ba295 chi-phx - 2nd aug - ba5780 as I am travelling with my colleagues and I cannot travel on any other date since I have already arranged for my accomodation in phoenix from 2nd august 2012.
          They have not given me any assurance and say that either there will be a difference of 50000INR to get the desired schedule or they will give me my original schedule which I had booked the first time.But it is unfair to me to suffer for their mistake.They have told they will call me back and I am waiting for their call currently.What should I do now?

            Cancellation requst not accepted _ PNR no. TYWJBF_03.03.2012
            Dear Sir ,

            I booked a ticket for jouney of dated 4th March '2012 on dated 3rd
            March '2012 at arround 6 pm but due to error of it
            was for travelling of dated 3rd march '2012 . After that i immediate
            called ( 6.18 pm ) to Make mytrip customer care for its error but they
            didn't cancelled my PNR no. TYWJBF and told me you may called to
            Spicejet for its cancelliation and whenever i called to spicejet
            customer care deptt.they told me that ticket will be cancelled if you
            intime before 2 hr of depature of flight . Than i asked to him/her ,
            how its possible ticket has generetd arround 6.10 pm and flight timing
            was 7.40 pm .

            Now, you tell me where is my foult ? I humble request to you ,kindly
            look the matter and take naccessary action against them.

              Dear Sir/Madam,
              I had deposited the money Rs.4550/- on 21st April, 2012 into Make My Trip's ICICI Bank account through a Axis Bank cheque against my hotel booking (booking id - IN1204B13832) for Darjeeling stay at Travellers Inn hotel from 29th April,2012 to 1st May,2012. On 28th April, 2012 I did cancel the hotel booking for Darjeeling due to my health problem through a mail. Later when I asked them to refund the cancellation amount they reply that refund is not possible. Refund is not there in policy. But I didn't see anything mentioned there in the hotel booking voucher. Please help me in this case. Waiting for your reply soon.

                This is happened like that
                1) I contacted MMT (Make My Trip) Pune office. Talked about fares and plan. Come to know about discount given on ICICI bank credit cards
                2) I did the booking and entered promotional code for availing discount.
                3) I did not receive any discount immediately after transaction. I asked about it, then they told me to wait for some time for discount.
                4) After 2 months when I complained about not getting discount, they said I did not entered promotional code.
                5) When I asked them about database screen shot, I come to know that i paid money on MMT portal. MMT person did flight booking on behalf on me in backgound.
                6) While flight booking MMT person forgot to enter promotional code.

                now MMT is blaming me for not entering promotional code. i made transaction of 20k and 26k while they are showing me evidence of transaction of 12k which is not done by me.

                My credit card statements clearly shows 2 transactions 20k and 26k, while they are claiming on transaction which I have not made.
                Hello, Uncle we have faced the same problem before, and we got the discount as well ...I have posted your complaint on behalf of you to the customer care because my complaint also got solved through that I think you don't know about that so I did that ... I even got the reply of your complaint

                    I had a hotel booking with makemytrip in Bangalore for 13-15 June, after which I called to postpone on 13th noon to 16-18th June. I was told that if the Hotel agrees then it may be done otherwise it will be considered as a no show. I was put on hold and the support person connected with the hotel staff and got my booking postponed and sent the voucher to me.

                    I arrived at the hotel on 16th after a lengthy car trip only to be told they have no reservation in my name, I showed them the voucher and they reconfirmed that they did not have a postponed booking my name.

                    After spending close to 2 hours on makemytrip support line, explaining my situation 5 times, being put on hold and being told that it has been taken care I was told to make a payment on my own and makemytrip would refund it. No confirmation mail of this kind was sent to me. I have contacted MMT multiple times over the past week receiving no updates except incompetent customer support people giving incorrect information.

                      Hi. I am Anurag. I am a software engg working in London. recently I went to India for vacation. During my vacation I have gone to Nainital & booked the hotel from your website. I didn't asked anyone for hotel as I was sure that in MMT whatever hotel is listed must be a good Hotel. First of all the hotel was not a hotel, it was not more then a lodge. They don't have even a reception. They didn't asked me about my ID. We were 2 adult & 2 children(5yrs & 1.5 yrs) I have paid for the extra bed. But the room was so small that an extra bed couldn't fit so we had to put a small mattress on the floor. first day & next half day, there is no water in the bathroom. 2nd day night we found a lot of mouse in the room. When I complained about this then that night they arrange one another room to sleep which they ask me to vacate in the early morning. There is no internet connection, there is no restaurant.Only thing they arrange is Tea & milk for which you have to call from your mobile(roaming) to the guy's mobile who lookafter the hotel/lodge(There is no intercom) So on very first day I call to MMT & the call center executive only say every time that we are in touch with Hotel manager. Because there was no hotel available in the city as too many tourist was in that time in the city so we spent our spoiled vacation in that hotel. When I reached Delhi & complain again then MMT told me that you'll get you money back. I even followed up from London 2-3 times but every time they say one thing "Someone from MMT will contact you." . See I don't care about my money, that is not at all important for me but I am surprised that MMT is such a big brand & they are also doing the same thing what a small travel agent is doing. I am totally disappointed with MMT & will not use any of its services in future & definetly I'll share my exp. in all the social media platform. I don't know Why MMT spending so much money in TV ad regarding 100% money back on Hotel in case you are not get what you see in the website?

                        I booked 2 bus tickets from Kanpur to Delhi in UPSRTC bus on 22 June 2012 on makemytrip.com. But to my surprise Rs 1510/- were deducted from my IOB debit card but I got no response from them for more then an hour. I called the customer care who said that the booking has failed and the amount will be refunded to my bank account in 72hrs.
                        It is very sad to say that over 72 hours are over and I haven't got my refund back as of now. I tried booking 2 bus tickets worth Rs 1510/- on 22 June 2012. But instead of getting tickets I got deduction of my money from debit card without even a single email, call or any other intimation from your side. I didnt even knew my booking Id until I made a call to customer care personnel. I thought I had lost my money to makemytrip.com. I am still not very sure if I will ever get my refund from Makemytrip. They are not bothered at all about my refund. These are my booking details:

                        Date and time of booking : 22 june 2012
                        Time of booking : 1305 hrs
                        Method of booking : IOB Debit Card
                        Amount deducted : Rs 1510/-
                        Booking id : NU[protected] (as told by customer care as I never even knew my booking Id hours after booking)

                        It was my first and a very bad online ticket booking experience with makemytrip.com. I hope this is not another scam/fraud online travel tickets booking portal. I was planning to go to Vaishno Devi but I am so badly disappointed by your services that I had to cancel all my plans.

                          I booked a bus ticket for me and my colleague from make my trip website (www.makemytrip.com). the ticket was booked for a volvo bus where as the actual bus with which i traveled was a normal bus. when i complained this to the concern authority in Make my trip he says the bus was a volvo one only but i have traveled 12 hours on the bus and it was a tata bus with AC and air suspension.

                            I booked a room in New Delhi with makemytrip website. when I went to checkin at the hotel i found the pictures they had advertised to be nothing like the hotel and the condition of the hotel was filthy with smell o[censored]rine every where and broken furniture and dirty bedding. I called makemytrip and complained about the same and said I need an alternate. They promised me a refund and asked me to find another hotel by myself.
                            I found another hotel and checked in. later when i contacted makemytrip they refused the refund making new excuses and claiming they have to call the hotel every time I call them. I paid Rs.4900 for which i did not use their filthy hotel for even 10 minutes. my booking # was NH[protected], and my complaint # was[protected].

                            I was approached my ShiftThoughts to buy a package which would give me following benefits.

                            a) Vouchers that would give me Rs.500 discount per domestic ticket as long as I was part of the travel itinerary.
                            b) Voucher that would give me.Rs.1000 discount per international ticket. These said vouchers were non-transferable.
                            c) Discount card which would fetch me discount at various domestic and international hotels.
                            d) One free Reebok watch

                            First Complaint : My first complaint is that Shifthoughts took longer time to send the package. After sending threatening emails to lodge a police complaint makemytrip sent me the package, but the watch was local make by Optima(I am sure it was cheaper version).

                            please note this offer was published on makemytrip website in the following link: http://www.makemytrip.com/promotion/great-indian-festive-offer.php under the title "The Great Indian Festival offer".

                            So I trusted this was a genuine offer by Makemytrip and I paid for it vide my credit card.

                            Second complaint:I want to redeem the voucher for my family travelling to Goa along with me. As stated on the voucher I cannot book the ticket onlineand use the voucher to get the discount. It was clearly stated to call up a telephone number[protected] and avail the benefits of the voucher.

                            Now to my surprise-No one on the number specified including the call centre of Make my trip knew anything about the voucher.

                            I got on a call with Jasminder Singh and Pratik Chaudhary. Who foolishly asked me to call the person who sold the vouchers to me. One of the girls at the call centre was very clear she is into sales and not handle client complaints. So I asked her to transfer the line to grievances unit, she said she did not know if such kind o[censored]nit existed.

                            Now I have a set of vouchers which I want to use for my Family's trip to Goa and I cannot use because there is no means to use the voucher.

                            I am hopping to get some one from Make my trip understand the operational issues and address my requirement at the earliest, Before i lodge a complaint in consumer court and pull them for various Mis presentation that are being dolled out by Makemytrip.com

                            While logging this complaint on the website here, i see other people have also been cheated by makemytrip.

                            Third complaint: This is not a complaint but just to highlight the misrepresentation that Makemytrip does and takes people for a ride.

                            I see an advertisement on thier site which states "Buy one Get One Free". In reality Make my trip only provides Rs.1000/- off on the second ticket. Is someone looking into such false promises on the advertisement because this is a clear case of misrepresentation by a company registered in India.

                            Exactly i agree with you, even i had bad experience now i started booking tickets with travelxp.com.
                            Whatever they say they give a best online travel portal.
                            I booked 4 star & 3 star hotels with makemytrip.com where as it was not even a budget hotel & they charged me for the same & spoiled my entire vacation with my parents & my family.
                            The responded to me like this after my complaint.
                            "This is in regards to your concern related to Package booking. At the outset, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in this regards. We would like to inform you that as per the validation we can only offer you the compensation of INR 500 at our end. Kindly let us know so that we can do the need full at our end."
                            I spent more than 1 lakh on this tour and they are offering me just 500/-. Its not even the basic cost difference of a 4 star hotel a budget hotel for 2 rooms booked for 7 nights.

                              I have booked a online tour package of kasmir on 6.06.12 through makemytrip under my booking ID no. IN1206B03674 from 10.06.2012 to 15.06.2012 . In which we have paid Rs.39000/- for delux rooms. We have facing following problems in during my trip.

                              1. The booking of my 1st hotel on dt. 10.06.2012 is not confiming by make my trip team until unless start journey . I have make so many calls in roming to get the confirmation from them. In each call they have hold me on the line for half hours.
                              2. As per my teriff I ask to the delux rooms but I could not get it.
                              3. In thrid day When my booking in Hotel Isfan in Kasmir. But when we reached at Hotel Isfan. They have shifted to us in alocal hotel Butterfly.
                              4. We are every time asking the complaint in may my trip consumer toll free no. but they could not listen to me. Sir.Please help me in this regard and give the right justification to me.

                                EMAIL TO CEO (DEEP KALRA) , This is to bring to your notice the kind of service your bus operators providing to passnegers who are booking tickets through your site. Below are 2 reservations I made last week and challenges faced.



                                1. Delhi - Katra ( ID - NU[protected], 4 seats) on 8th June



                                - on 8th June i got a call from operator at around 4pm that Volvo is faulty today and will not go so I need to downgrade booking and take seats in place of Sleepers.

                                - some how i got cofnirmation that I can get seats in normal A/C sleeper bus with some refund. your people told me to either accept it or get the full refund. Since I was not having much time with me, i decided to compromise.

                                - at pickup point, i noticed that Volvo is ready to go but I was told that that one is for some other people and people who have booked through internet will go in different bus (ordinalry). Travel people told me that they have to take care of current booking and hence people have to understand it.

                                - departure time was 7pm and we were asked to wait endlessly till about 9pm (on Road with no intimation at all about bus and departure time) when one bus from some other operator arrived and we were allocated back seats in that bus and not as per Seats booked through site.

                                - Finally bus left Delhi and reached Katra at around 12:30pm against arrival time of 9:00am (my entire program got impacted due to arrival time!)



                                2. Katra - Delhi ( ID - NU[protected], 4 seats) on 10th June



                                - on 10th June, we reported on time and were asked to take bus in parking lot.

                                - bus conductor asked about type of booking and forced us to take 4 seats in the last (i was not allocated the seats as per online booking)

                                - Seats were in pathetic condition with no curtains!!!

                                - I checked with bus people and they said that internet booking are done from Delhi and we can't do any thing at all.

                                - I called your people and was told that nothing can happen and i need to travel only in this bus and same seats. Though MakeMytrip people told me to get back but never heard from them!!!

                                - entire night my family and I was not able to sleep at all!!!!



                                Mr Deep,



                                - if you really want to succeed in online business (that too buses) , either run your own buses or get out of this business (otherwise with the time, you will be!!)

                                - I had horrible time (on top of body condition which one gets into after Mata Darshan!!), and thought to write my experience to you.



                                Not sure, how can you compensate for it but most importantly think about it and put yourself in my shoes. This will help you to think about business model you are into (Bus booking).



                                One feedback aobut your site while booking, if total mount is elligible for Cashback, system should automatically provide the benefit to passengers rather that one has to opt for Deal type. Anyway, system will not provide caskback till the time, your booking amount crosses certain limit.



                                If your are sensitive about your business, I am sure you will definitely consider to compensate me accordingly.

                                  I booked my trip from USA to Bombay, India and back. During the booking of the ticket I was informed that to change the date I would have to pay $300 plus the difference in airfare But I wasn't informed about the fact that they are allocated only few tickets for a particular class and that I would be unable to get a ticket or change my class. So due to medical reason I have to change my tickets and after being hung up on, being promised that someone will call me back and no ever did and three weeks of constant emailing, calling and online chatting with them, they tell me that no seats are available the entire month of July and August. I have to leave India by end of July due to immigration purpose and I conveyed this and all they said that they are sorry and can't do anything about it.

                                  Dealing with makemytrip has been nothing but nightmare! They have the worst customer service, incredibly incompetent employees and no responsibility whatsoever!! I was promised that a supervisor will call me back and after 3 weeks I've yet to hear from a supervisor. Than when you use their live chat they keep on transferring you from one person to another! The worst of them was Rohit Binny, he was rude and just started to ignore me!

                                  Their logo is " where we create unlimited memories just for you" ..more like where they create Nightmare if you have to make any changes to your ticket. I will Never Ever use them again..and I plan to make sure none of my friends, family or my associates ever use them eithe... MAKEMYTRIP.COM SUCKS!

                                    I had availed an International Travel Package from Makemytrip.com. The overall cost of the package was a hefty sum. As consolation (was till now) I was given Make my trip discount vouchers worth INR 20,000/-. These shopping vouchers could be used against shopping at certain brands such as Reebok, Marks n Spencer, CCD, Barista, etc etc.
                                    First of all some of the discount vouchers had already expired at the time I received the vouchers. (I received the vouchers in March 2012 and some of the vouchers had validity upto October 2011).
                                    Second, All the vouchers were valid till June 2012 so I thought of availing some discount which I could.
                                    So I went to purchase Reebok sports shoes but I got the update that the Reebok voucher (issued by Makemytrip.com) is not valid.
                                    I informed the same to my Travel Associate from Makemytrip.com and was assured that the issue would be resolved soon. But as expected once you have bought a product (Holiday package) and the vendor (makemytrip.com) has got there payment from customer (me) why would they entertain you.
                                    I want my active discount vouchers or a cash back worth 20,000/- INR from makemytrip.com otherwise I will have to resort to some hard action against Makemytrip.com

                                      Our group of 16 had a horrible experience with Make My Trip when we went on their Kashmir package from 19th to 25th May 2012. Some of the points on which Make My Trip terribly goofed up are :-
                                      1) Despite booking at the beginning of February we were not provided details of the hotel till 3 days before travel
                                      2)14 o[censored]s were booked on JetKonnect and 2 on Indigo. But at the last minute without prior intimation the 2 were issued Kingfisher tickets with long halts in Delhi. The Kingfisher flight from Srinagar was at 4 pm while JetKonnect was at 2 pm yet all were transported together from the hotel at 11am. The Kingfisher passengers were not allowed into the airport and had to wait out for 2 hours. Leaving the hotel at 11 am these two passengers reached Mumbai close to midnight.
                                      3)Was told we would be staying in California houseboats in Srinagar but was put up in a lousy Shikhara
                                      4) Despite confirming that 2 vehicles will be reserved for our group , the tour managers tried to squeeze 2 more passengers in our vehicles which we resisted . After , multiple calls to various people in MMT it got resolved after 90 minutes with all members loosing temper & wasting precious time . Still, the tour guys insisted that some baggage's to be loaded on our vehicles , which caused delay and missing the second phase of Gondola ride in Gulmarg.
                                      5)Four of the 6 rooms booked was meant for 3 adults yet the room offered at Paradise Inn, Pahalgam was so small that an extra bed would not fit in.
                                      6) The food arrangements were extremely poor at all locations . I can't comprehend with this crazy idea of MMT of hiring "Maharaj" from Rajasthan to serve us same food, day in day out at all locations . The food without exception at all locations was unhealthy , oily and inedible. At Shikara , in fact the food was uncooked . The standard menu was Roti, Dal, Paneer , Chicken , Papad . The Papads were kept in a corrugated box and no hygeine was maintained in the serving area. We were also forced to buy Mineral water at more than MRP at the Dal lake . WHEN WE BOOKED WE WERE NOT INFORMED THAT WE WILL NOT BE SERVED FOOD FROM THE HOTEL , AS TOURISTS WE EXPECTED TO BE SERVED LOCAL CUISINE AT LEAST ONCE. Because of the poor food quality we were forced to eat outside at least on three occasions . We tried Paradise restaurant in Pahalgam town for the local cuisine( owned by the same group where we were staying ) and were discussing with the owner of the sub-standard food arrangement at the hotel. He promptly put a disclaimer at the hotel saying that food served is from MMT and not by the hotel.
                                      It is clearly found that Make My Trip is not equipped to handle such holidays and people should refrain from using their services.

                                      Make My Trip — Poor unprofessional service

                                      I booked my ticket from Make my trip. Now I want to change dates and they have so poor service. Most of the time they do not pick up the call because they work 8hr according to India time only .They have no 24/7 service. Even when I call according to India time they will tell their system is upgrading. Its been 3 weeks I am trying to contact them ,I am highly disappointed and shocked by such a poor service. They are not worth to book even a taxi ticket with so poor service.

                                        After booking the package, The tickets & hotel vouchers are promised to be given 3 days before the departure. But in our case, it wasn’t delivered till the day before the departure. Also, we need to call again & again for the same. Your Customer care executive Kept us on hold for almost 30 minutes. It took me more than a hour to get the thing done. Each time the calls gets transferred to the new executive to whom we need to explain the whole story with the ID then he transferred it to some random department ,from where the same things happen


                                        We recently had Himachal package from Make my trip & trust me the whole experience was so bad & troublesome.One of the Executive hired by MMT was totally new to the place.Also the package havent been planned properly, we literally wasted 3 days in travelling itself in bus & they mentioned it as 6-7 day package,The Hotel at shilmla "Kufri resort' was pathetic & they mentioned it as 4 star hotel, its was all pathetic,dirty,stinky.It had a big hole in the bathroom roof with leaky wash-basin.The guide didnt accompanied us at any of the destination nor the entrance fees were paid which was all inclusive.They have a brokerage cartel involving MMT agents who makes fool out of the tourist just to fetch more money.The whole trip was a mental harrasment for us with half of the time calling the MMT executives & travelling in bus,The spots covered by MMT are like half will be shown from the bus itself & other half are all situated at one place it self * MMT have exagerrated it well.

                                        To all the travellers, please please please do not opt for MMT for any of the packages.."Naam Bade Darshan Chote"
