Hi,
This strange thing happened with me and with around 100 odd friends of mine.On 23rd Sep 2012 I booked a return ticket from Bangalore to Delhi. The total Fare shown to me was 5092 (and it was mentioned that this is a discounted ticket). This was a mother of all deals and therefore I immediately booked this ticket along with many others in my organisation. I already had a ticket which i had booked earlier, I cancelled that ticket as that was a bad deal for me.
Today morning I got a call from makemytrip folks and they said that there was a technical error and there was no such discount. I am nowhere now. My trip has been ruined (as i cancelled my previous higher priced ticket), i have to reschedule my trip , plus , the incovenience at the office (cancelling the leaves, rescheduling the leaves etc).
Make My Trip is considered as a professionally driven company but such amateur response makes a consumer loose his hope towards big names like Make My Trip . I feel that companies should be more possesive towards their brand image and corporate presence.

same thing happened with me. I dont know what is make my trip upto. I think we should all take strong legal actions and go to the consumer forum

Make My Trip — Incorrect Fare

Hi,

Exactly...MakeMytrip is a fraud site...Disgusting...
ya exactly...the same thing happened to me...The inconvenience they have caused is affecting me professionally(leaves n all), personally(was about to go home) and even financially(cancellation of former ticket)...its just disgusting and shameful...
Similar thing happened with my friends. It has caused so much of inconvenience to them. They cancelled their previous tickets to book the new low fare one shown by the Make My Trip. But then they came to know there was no such discount. This is totally unfair on part of Make My Trip.

    Hi
    i have booked a round trip flight from Bangalore to Delhi then Delhi to Bangalore. It was showing me the cost of Rs 5092/- and i booked the flight and credit amount from my friend's account. Now i am getting calls from makemytrip to give more money unless my ticket will be cancelled.

      MAKEMYTRIP - BAD EXPERIENCE OF ATTENDING MARKET RESEARCH GROUP

      This is about a consumer feedback organised by Makemytrip at the Leela Palace bangalore on 24th Sept 2012.
      Just to narrate the experience no information was shared about the duration or appointment this would take place.
      Had to wait 1.5 hours without information on the wait time.
      The organisers informed over the phone lunch/snacks would be provided accordingly and amount of Rs 2000 would be
      provided for participating after the completion of the session.
      But there was no trace of any kind of food only option was to pay a bomb and eat at 7 star hotel
      This was not it there were some participants who recieved less amount for the same discussion
      Rs 1500 or may be much less with no reason given i was lucky to get 2000.
      May be they were choosing based on persons color as panel were a little fair :)
      When i asked why there is discrimination and no professionalism in organizing such sessions.
      The lady who was organizing the session informed me you cant expect any professionalism in this field
      you getting selected to give feedback is a big thing <- My bad, ofcourse after this my feedback to them is all waste .
      Also while conversing with other participants got to know most of the people were forced to lie about thier profession
      and were forced to tell they are frequent fliers and fly through make my trip,
      No wonder people who lie would be treated like this - made to wait for long hours may be paid less no hospitality :(
      very bad experience of the market research quality of make my trip.
      I wonder collecting this false feedback would improve thier quality definitely not.
      I request responsible management of MAKEMYTRIP to have tuff audits on such research as collecting them
      in this way will never lead them to any improvement
      If you need breif details of this deplorable experience i had about this session mail me :)
      I dont know what to do with the useless 2000 voucher recieved by MakeMytrip :)

        I booked a 2 night stay at Hill View Resort, Ramanagaram, Bangalore through Make My Trip.
        i booked a deluxe room after checking on the website that it had Air Conditioning (A/C).
        when i reached the resort, i was informed that the deluxe room is a non-AC room and i will have to pay extra.
        in-spite of showing them that it is mentioned on Make My Trip website that the room i booked has AC mentioned, the resort did not help me out.

        I then called Make My Trip hoping they would help me sort this out. but they were also adamant and said i had to pay extra for an AC room.
        on top of this to make matter worse, the executive i spoke to, said the Deluxe room where it mentioned AC means that it is "it is AC when i open all the windows and doors in the room". i found this response from him extremely rude and finally he made me pay Rs. 1000/- extra per night for an AC room.

        i would like to place a complaint for giving wrong information and not even trying to help out a customer instead was extremely rude.

        enclosed also find photos taken from the website stating very clearly all rooms at Hill View Resort have AC in them.

        kindly advise on the next step i need to take.

        Make My Trip — WRONG INFORMATION

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        This is mail in very serious condition faced by one of my relative traveling from Ahmedabad to Delhi by Seema and Pooja Travels by today bus dated 01/05/2011 at 07:15 from MOOTA NARODA stop.
        The Passenger is a girl named Shivangni Mishra and the tour operator is saying this bus will go to jaipur and then you have to take another bus. On calling to tour operator he informed that this is mentioned in Make my trip but while going I have not found any sucg details about break journey.
        The seat is sleeper and there is no seat provided by tour operator and she adjusted her in one of back seat. The persons are sitting inside are all drunken.
        She is not able to give phone to driver as I told her to connect with the staff of bus.

          Hello,This is regarding the issue I had by booking a Bus ticket from Amritsar to Delhi via Makemytrip site. I have been using Makemytrip website for booking Flights, Hotels or Bus tickets for quite some time. But I had an issue with my travel . I had raised a complaint against in the make my trip website and a ticket was raised. Even after repeated reminders, There has been absolutely no response from Makemytrip customer care which is very disappointing.

          This is Prashanth and I had booked a Bus ticket from Amristar to Delhi through Makemytrip website on the 12th of August 2012.

          I had booked 2 tickets in JPG Travels(Volvo Multi- Axle Bus). The cost of the ticket was Rs 1100/Person.
          When I reached Amristar Bus station, We were asked to board PRTC Bus which was not a Multi-Axle Bus. When We mentioned to he Bus operator that this was not the Bus which we had booked, he told us that the confirmation he received was in PRTC travels and not JPG Volvo Multi-Axle bus and we were asked to travel in this bus itself.

          Not sure as to why this miscommunication between Makemytrip and the bus. Also, i understand that the Multi-Axle bus booking is expensive than a regular VOLVO bus.

          Please look into this issue.

              I had booked three air tickets for an Indigo Airlines (through makemytrip.com) to Ahmedabad from Bangalore on 19/8/12 at around 5.30 am.(As it was an emergency matter due to a death in the family). While booking I had clearly selected the timing of the flight as 11.20 am. as it was very urgent to travel to ahmedabad.

              But after all the proper selection and the payment was done, we received the confirmation of the air ticket booking of Indigo for an evening flight. So, the very next moment I had called up the call centre and spoke to a person - manoj and had explained him all the problems in detail, and he had convinced us to cancel the current booking and rebook for the flight at 11.20 am and he had promised us to get the due refund on the rescheduling of the air tickets. But, when i have received the refund of the cancelled tickets, they (makemytrip.com) have not refunded the actual amount. Why do i need to pay cancellation charges (Rs.950 per ticket) for no fault of mine.

                my booking ID is IN1208B16173. I wanted to book standard mini kerala package (given on internet) with small modification in pick up time at alleppey. I contacted for the same to Swati gupta (Swati.[protected]@makemytrip.com). She send some itinerary but I did not bother to go through as I have already seen the itinerary at the internet. I said OK and paid for the booking (She said I will get discount as well). When she send me the hotel vouchers then I came to know that she has allotted me a hotel of lower star rating than what is promised on internet. I asked to change the hotel to the one shown on internet. She refused to do so. Then I asked for cancellation as I want what I have asked for. If you go through our email communication it will get clear that I never asked for any modification. Thereafter, I was directed to communicate to her supervisor Mr. Birender Rawat. I tried to speak to him on phone but he didnot come to phone. I also asked om mail to give me a call, he never bothered to do that. He said my issue will be resolved in 24 hrs. I had already paid by then Rs. 21110/-. I checked on internet the package I wanted cost me on internet 21498/-. They are not taking any action on my request and I have got no communication from their side.

                  [protected]@yahoo.com,used my citi bank debit card on the 27th of aug,to bok rail tickets online frm mum to goa, the ticket was not generated but the money was removed from my account, tried again and booked ticket but rupees 2525 was charded TWICE and is debited TWICE from my citi bank debit card,same happended with the return tickets from goa to mum rupees 2464 has been removed twice as first time ticket was not generated so had to try bookin again,spoke to rakesh kumar he gave me wrong transaction bookin ids NR[protected] and NR[protected] and said both the extra charges for rupees 2,525 and 2,464 would be refunded, as of now i have not got any refund and i want to take this matter to the indian consumer forum as make my trip is not supposed to take money wrongly from my account , for ref citi bank has given me the transaction id 977523 and 977861 pv number [protected]

                  MakeMyTrip — Funds debited wrongly

                  I had booked a flight ticket from Make My Trip on the 1st of april. My booking id is FLT[protected]. I had contacted the All India helpline yesterday, the 15th of April. My funds were debitted twice and they clarified that it was not with makemytrip but with my banker. I have already sent a mail to [protected]@makemytrip.com on 10th April and 11th April, with my bank statement attached, however till date there is no reply on it. Please help.

                    I am truly disgusted with your company. On 14th of August I was supposed to travel to Goa and stay at Villa Fatima hotel. On 14th morning, my mother in law passed away suddenly. I called makemytrip to cancel the reservation. They assured me that it was cancelled. This has not happened. On top of that, the cancellation policy clearly states that I should have gotten back my refund minus one day's hotel rent. The call center rep shamelessly told me that i would not get any money back as there is a new policy that states if you cancel on the day, you will not get anything back. When I asked to speak to the supervisor/manager, that shameless woman said "just because some policy is not stated in the confirmation, does not mean it is not there". How sick and shameless can you be? Also, what happened to your guarantee for a 100% refund? You should have followed the policy and returned the money minus one day's fee. The call center supervisor also promised to call me back - I have not received that call yet! And she was the rudest person i've spoken to ever. Is this the unethical and illegal way you people work? All your guarantees are fake and policies unwritten. You treat your customers like crap. I will take this to consumer court. You have cheated your customers and made a mockery of your profession. Disgusted!!! I expect a resolution to this immediately. And I want to know why I was not called back by your call center rep.

                      I am Doctor Jagjit Singh was going to attend conference in Canada. I made booking by MAKE MY TRIP .COM. The flight was scheduled on 16 August 2012 by Delta (KLM) From Delhi to AMSTERDOM to PARIS to Montreal Canada . But when i reached at Check in Counter they told me you can not fly because you do not have Schengen Visa that was told by me to the MAKE MY TRIP before my ticket Reservation. Then i made second booking with 1.20Lacs because i had to fly urgently

                        I had gone for International holiday (Thailand) on 26.06.2010, the Make My Trip agent has not given me the two travel bag, which is mentioned in my final package, Despite calling them more than 5 times they are keep promising me that they will sent . But not yet sent even after 1.5 months.

                          reg the attached booked ticket with booking ref AN[protected]

                          - i booked the ticket through online booking website of make my trip for travel from Dubai to new delhi
                          - as per the attached ticket the flight number confirmed was AI-946 with expected departure time of 19:35 on 17th Aug
                          - for the same i reached the airport well on time on 17th Aug
                          - to my surprise air india informed me that the flight has been rescheduled to 00:05 on 18th Aug with flight number AI- 996.

                          - I had a connecting flight to New delhi to patna @ 06:15 on 18th aug morning but i missed the same as air india reached @ 04:45 & with all baggage clearance it was already 05:35 & hence the boarding for my booked flight in indigo missed
                          - after that i had to pay Rs 11544 to get a confirmed tichet to travel to Patna

                          - i would like to put forward this to make my trip to pay my extra Rs 11544 reason being i never got any confirmation from make my trip about the change in the flight status of air india & due to which i could not plan my travel , Also i was harrased a lot in all this process
                          - pls get the same on top priority & action on the same

                            I have provided a wrong Itinerary by an agent and received eticket for different timing.
                            My mom will be traveling from BLR to Minneapolis (via BOM-PARIS-Minneapoli) with waiting time of 11:40 minutes in Bombay airprot but I was told that waiting time is 6:40mnts.

                            I tried reaching customer service from May 30 2012 and till now they are saying they will arrange for call back with 2-3days to reslove the concern but never got a call back.

                            I got a below mail on Jul 7 saying as below and I thought there will be some progress but next day I got mail saying that they are closing the ticket saying the query has been resolved to my satisfaction and the same has been marked as “Closed”.

                              i had booked a hotel in Mahabaleshwar for my family with Make my trip (check in 9Th Aug/check out 10 Aug) at THE NEW HILLS RETREAT my booking id was NH2P[protected] . I have booked The hotel wiTh one of There promotion in which i had to pay a booking amount of only 5 rupees and rest 1466 rupees at hotel. This promotion also contains a clause That if i didn't get The same product as shown in web site Then I'll be liable to get a 100% cash back. but trust me we haven't got any single Thing which makes a hotel hotel. stinky damp room , dirty moist bed-sheets , dirty and cheap blankets (we have used our own bed sheets under blankets) , dirty bathroom , no basic amenities (no soap no towels) ,even mug inside bath was broken, room's door handle was broken and no room service at all, at MMT website i was suppose to get a mineral water bottle in room , There need to be telephone , hot water and i got noThing but excuse. i have booked This vacation for my family to make Them feel better but first impression of The hotel has spoiled There mood for whole day. when i asked for The change of room owner said This is The only They can provide me. we were stuck so we tried not to stay in hotel we planned to go for site seeing asap not because we wanted to go but we do not wanted to stay in That stinky room. we used our room as cloakroom That's it. i have called make my trip five times to resolve The issue but noThing happens The customer service representatives were just saying That They will do someThing but done noThing . They have ruined my family vacation, spoiled Their mood . and you know what i have paid double the rate of market for it . i'll never ever will use make my trip and will never book anything online. i want my money back.

                                  I SUMAN SINHA residing at BL-25, Salt Lake City, Sector-II, Kolkata-91 made a Flight booking at Makemytrip.com on[protected], MakeMyTrip Booking ID- NF[protected]. They gave me an offer by their representative of Call Centre was to put a Deal Code that is ICICIEOSS on the booking page and get Rs.500 Cash Back against ICICI Bank Credit Card payment mode to book any Flight at their website.
                                  So, I booked a Flight by my ICICI Bank Credit Card on[protected] and put the Deal Code as they said. But till now they did not credit my cash back as they said. So, I called the makemytrip call centre to inform their dispute on[protected], but they told me that what you have Deal Code you entered in the booking is incorrect. So, we do not give you the cash back. Is this a correct practice to deal with customer like me ? the deal code I enter at the time of booking was given by their representative. So, please help me on that matter and made a end on this type bad practice of harrasment.

                                  They did the same thing to me for international flight ticket. Deal code was accepted for another offer on international flight and when I approached them for not getting cash back on stipulated time.                                   They said system doesn't find your deal code. They are fraudsters. First they tried to manipulate me with the wrong information and when it didn’t work they simply refused to payback.
                                  Clearly MMT treat their customers STUPID and try to get away with lousy, MISLEADING information.

                                  NEVER go for makemytrip. You will REGRET big time!!!

                                    Following is the mail i sent to makemytrip regarding my bad experience caused by them. All i get as a reply is sorry for the inconvenience.

                                    Respected Sir/Madam,

                                    I am writing to you in regard with one of the worst experience any individual could ever face with a hotel booking through make my trip. I am one of your loyal customers and have had a very good perspective in regard with make my trip for any of my bookings. But this time was extremely humiliating and careless that we were shocked beyond terms that I could express it in. I got a confirmed booking for the hotel stay when I booked through the Makemytrip (MMT) site – Annexed hotel confirmation voucher. Within an hour of the booking, I got a call from a MMT representative stating that there are no rooms available for my CONFIRMED booking even though MMT site showed rooms were available when I did the booking at first. He agreed, it was a MMT Mistake and guaranteed me he will look in to the matter immediately (in Couple of hour’s time) and book me an alternative better hotel and the extra charges will be borne by MMT, if he’s not able to get a room in Seagrapes Gardens (The originally booked hotel).

                                    But I didn’t receive any assistance or calls from MMT-shows your MMT team’s wonderful customer service. I had to call back at 12 midnight when I was on the way to Bangalore to confirm my place of stay. MMT team wasn’t available at 12 in the night obviously though you call yourselves to be a 24*7 service providers, so the customer care representative ensured me that the problem will be flagged as important/emergency and MMT will get back to me 1st thing in the morning at 8am. I was in Bangalore on 18th July morning with an unconfirmed booking. As expected, I got no calls from MMT till 9 in the morning inspite of me informing the representative that I have a client meeting at 3pm so it’s imperative that I check in to SOME hotel by 12pm. I called back 4 times between 9 to 11am. But for all the calls, MMT representative on the call could only say they will revert back after talking to the team that is handling these problems. At 11am I was in Bangalore didn’t know where to go as MMT still had an unconfirmed booking for me. I don’t think MMT Call Center doesn’t have an outgoing call option. I had to call again at 11am and shout at the representative to look in to the matter and give me a solution. Finally After all these hassles the MMT representative on the call (AFTER I CALLED AGAIN) tells me there’s actually room vacant at Seagrapes, Bangalore itself and my booking is confirmed.

                                    To my horror on reaching the hotel at 12:30 pm, the hotel incharge informs us that there are no rooms available. He also informs that no MMT representative called the hotel on 18th July morning and got a confirmation that the hotel had a vacant room for the particular day. Infact he told us that he had already informed MMT THE PREVIOUS DAY ITSELF -17th July that there are no chances that any rooms will be vacant in Seagrapes for the next two days i.e., 18th and 19thby means of an email. Again the process of calling MMT customer care started. We would have called around 4 to 5 times since then and all that the representative (Ms.Nausheen Mansuri) could do was blame the hotel squarely and repeatedly for the blunder and asking the hotel to do an alternative booking instead of immediately addressing our problem. At even 3pm, we were at the lobby of the hotel Seagrapes (Without bath and even lunch) not having a room to stay at, inspite of me having paid Rs.3152 and more importantly for no mistake of mine. I had to cancel and postpone my meeting to evening which was very embarrassing personally for mine. This drama went on from 12 to 3 and we were causing so much of an inconvenience to the hotel authoirities of Seagrapes, though they were extremely supportive in regard with our matter and were very much hospitable. In front of my eyes the MMT representative was blaming the hotel authorities again and again and was not coming to any kind of conclusion leaving us still without a room. After a very heated up argument and after requesting to talk to a higher authority, I was finally connected to Ms Padma who said would get me a solution and after half an hour she gave me a Room at the Chancery Hotel confirming that the room is Premiere Club Room. We agreed to it –as we had no other choice (As per your site -Rating of The Chancery – 4/5, while Seagrapes -4.5/5) and when we landed in that hotel, we were shocked again that the room was just the normal ordinary room and not a premiere club room. This much atrocity the MMT team had to cheat us yet again and give us some other room and not what was promised to us. The mail confirming the hotel stay at The Chancery didn’t even contain the details with regard to Room tariff details.

                                    When we asked the representatives of the hotel in the evening in a casual manner, we get to know that our room is just a standard room of the hotel. This is just not done. We booked Seagrapes Hotel purely on the in good reviews given on your site and we had ended up staying in Chancery which honestly was really shady and Dull (reviews on your site aren’t that good) and that too had in to check in at 4:00pm. My day was literally wasted. So much confusion, cheating and embarrassment is not what we expected from Make My trip and we are not planning to book or refer any one whom we know to book through make my trip. Infact I Stayed in Bangalore for the next 2 days and I booked my stay through a different travel website. My 1st preference was always MMT (I’m a regular traveler and my bookings past two years have always been through MMT whether it’s booking for flight or hotel, along with friends my bookings through MMT would surely amount around 50000 Rs last 2 years).

                                    But the most that hit me was, not even a call I got back from MMT to find out whether our stay was comfortable or not at THE CHANCERY HOTEL due to all the inconvenience by you people.

                                    I really don't care whats going on between makemytrip and Hotel Seagrape. Its irritating to know that, you guys are still playing the blame game of who's fault it is whether the hotels or yours. Whether hotel confirmed and later denied or whether you guys did the mess I JUST DON'T CARE.. I booked my stayed ONLY THROUGH your site and it is the responsibility of ONLY makemytrip to ensure my stay was confirmed and booked in the hotel for what i had paid. I DID'NT EVEN receive a SINGLE CALL FROM YOUR SIDE to confirm my booking even after i complained about my non confirmation. My whole trip went for a toss due to the confusion created, I checked in at 4pm when i'm supposed to check in 12pm and only later to be booked in a hotel of NOT MY CHOICE which was very much sub standard compared to the one i was supposed to be staying!..

                                    After all that has caused to me, all you say is sorry for the inconvenience and write back for assistance! You guys really don't care i had a really bad experience and that you will lose out on a regular customer. Are you really part of Customer Delight Mr.Anshul because you really dont seem to be bothered about customer satisfaction and customer continuity only. Do you think your template sentence of sorry for the inconvenience is going to make up for me missing my meeting on that day! Is this what you do for customer delight?! Atleast the person who called me last night from makemytrip was courteous enough to ask me what shall be done for my continuance for booking through makemytrip! I wanted either my moneyback or free voucher for my next booking! He said he will check it up with the team and call me back. Of course i didnt get a call back after that.

                                    Im really suprised and shocked to know that you guys dont take these seriously and do something really delighting the customers when some inconvenience on your part has cost them.

                                    I get No repsonse from moneybackguarantee too, for the lone fact that i didnt even get to stay in the hotel that i booked for! Isnt that a mismatch?! I Checked in at 4 pm and ended up not availing the 12 to 12 hr check in check out! Isnt that an enough cause?

                                      As my tickets were partially waitlisted, I tried to cancel the confirmed ticket. I contacted the customer care through phone no. [protected], informing the cancellation of the confirmed ticket. They asked to file an online TDR for the confirmed ticket and the other ticket will be refunded automatically into my account. I did the same and again called customer care, confirming the status of TDR filing receipt and they informed that they have received the request. But I did not receive any refund after one month. So I contacted customer care through phone and asked the refund status. They informed me that it is in process and it would be done by 10 jul 12. But i did not receive any refund till 10.07.12 and again asked their customer care. They informed that I had to file TDR for the waitlisted ticket and since I did not file it, the refund was not processed.

                                      I feel cheated by the travel agent and send an email to their customer feedback on [protected]@makemytrip.com. But till date i have not received any response from them. Kindly help me as the agent did not offer me the service and took the full payment. On asking the refund, no response is received from the agent.

                                      I want the full reimbursement of the refund of the tickets as soon as possible.

                                        I've 2 complaints against MakeMyTrip.com:

                                        1. I'v booked a bus from Tirupur to Chennai for 24th July. It's shown as Sleeper Type bus in makemytrip.com website, but I was shocked when I see that the actual bus type is Semi-Sleeper.

                                        2. Immediately after checking the bus, called MakeMyTrip.com customer care and explained Mr.Sumit about the issue. He promised to get back within 15-20 minutes. But he never called me back.

                                        This message is regarding booking Errors on makemytrip website. Makemytrip.com is showing Flights on the search page which are not operating with a message "Hurry Few Seats Left" . When I click on the book button, it shows the message "Confirming Flight availability", after this goes to the booking page which confirms the flight availability. And after the payment is made, Makemytrip.com displays this message "Sorry! Your booking has failed!" . This has been done 2 times for the same airlines and same date. Before the payment transaction there is no error and after Makemytrip.com has taken the money, they display an error message. Adding to this, when i checked the Flight availability on the official website of Air India for the same date and destination, no flights were shown. This proves that they doing fraud/420/bogus flight bookings, they are using this website as a tool to make a fool out of public and misusing their money. They have done the same thing to lakhs of people in India and please beware of Makemytrip.com .
