money not refunded

I have booked a flight via makemytrip from bangalore to Gwalior for 24th Feb 2012.
But as the flight was cancelled so makemytrip assured me that my whole money (16004 Rs.) will be refunded back and the process will take 5-7 working days.
I received this communication from makemytrip on 23rd Feb and after that I received only 1116 Rs. on 29th Feb.
After follow up multiple times there was one more refund of 4949 Rs. on...

I have booked a ticket for Delhi -Dubai (one way)thro make my trip.com having booking ID-NN[protected] on 11.02.12 for journey dated 28.03.12 with total cost of 6826.00.My journey was confirmed thro IT_41 with kingfisher airline PNR-COUTTD.

2 days prior to my journey i.e on 26.03.12 ,when i asked the flight status it has been communicated by KING FISHER and MAKE MY TRIP both that the said flight is unoperational-only full refund shall be made to.No alternative flight can be arranged.

even after many request they have not done any arrangement for my journey to either there or any other flight.
Make my trip replies that we are agent it is carrier (KINGFISHER)responcibility to give alternative flight.

My ticket was booked more than one and half month back.NOW on 26.03.12 all tickets has become very costlier.

Finally i have purchased cheapest ticket available with make my trip on 26.03.12 for the same journey date of 28.03.12 with cost Rs 15440.00.(booking ID-NN[protected],Indigo airline 6E-21 PNR-QDV2CE)

last minute cancellation has put me in lot of harrasment and the additional money[protected]=8614)what i paid extra with the compensation of harassment must be paid to me.

Similar thing has happened with my brother as well, he had booked his honeymoon tickets some 2 months back and later when there is only a week for him to fly, he just tried confirming his travel and Make My Trip informed him during that time, that his Kingfisher Flight is unoperational and they could only provide refund. NO Alternatives will be provided by Make My Trip or Kingfisher.
I also requested Make My Trip to bare the difference 50-50, but they didnt do it either!
Now if have to book another tickets for my brother which is more than double the price at which I had booked the tickets previously.

I too would want the compensation for the all the extra money that I need to pay for this.

    sir/madam,

    i have booked a round trip from Lucknow to Mumbai from make my trip online. the booking id is: NF[protected]. i would like to launch complain about the misguidance and inconvenience faced by us due to them.
    firstly, on the on the of my travel dated 24th march 2012 i received a mail( attachment provided) that my flight has been cancelled but after rechecking from airport i found they misguided. i have launched complain for a feedback for returning flight. i was promised to receive a confirmation call within 24 hours. no such call was received by me.
    secondly, when again i called them on 25th march 2012 i was told my returning flight was in-operational which was scheduled for 29th march 2012. i was told to cancel the flight and no re-routing was possible. n apply for refunds.

    i did as was told.but after wards when i checked with my airlines they said i could have re-routed my flight to Delhi.

    AS A RESULT OF THEIR MISGUIDANCE I HAD TO PAY TRIPLE THE AMOUNT PAID for new booking. i want you to take strict action and consider my compensation.

      please note that I vivek gandotra has not yet received the refund amt of rs.5307/- against a hotel cancellation whose cancellation ref # is IN1203R0079723.this was for a hotel booking in hotel monal at Dalhousie from 28/03/2012 to 02/04/2012.the expected refund date against the cancellation was 28/03/2012.but till now I haven’t received it. What is the cause of such a delay? The hotel booking id is: NH[protected].

        I have been chasing with your compavy snice 29 Feb requesting them incase there has been any shedule change in my booking .Pls ref to my email below till date I have not recived any reply from your company .Finally on monday my nice contacted your company and spoke to Bharat in delhi office and released that my fear was correct that there has been a change in my flights by the airline .i am not upset about the change but have a concern that your company never responsed to my mails and when I had requested Bharat to send me my e-tkt he did send .I had also requested him to contact me to Manoj (TL) or Rahul ( Manager) for which he said that they are not avaiable and will call me.This never happened .Later on 13 March I again called your company and got contacted to your chandigarh office where we got contacted to Navpreet who send me the tkt and connected me to her Tl Amanpreet totally useless.She had promised me that she will contact me to her manager or arrange a call back till 6.00 pm which never happened till date .This is not the frist time when make my trip has not informed me about my schedule change.I used your company in Dec and was flying with kingfisher and faced issues regarding the same issue .Even then nobody informed me about my change .

        Few questions



        Why should i pay service ffee when nobody bothers about the my bookings

        Useless mangers.

          I am Navneet Gupta and I had taken a holiday honeymoon package (Amritsar and Dharamshala) from your company.
          My booking ID no. is - IN1203B07263
          My date of booking - 13/03/2012

          Amount Paid- Rs.51,000/-

          This package was suggested to us by your executive Mr. Harjeet Singh (Extn : 3877 | Deskline :[protected] | E-mail : Harjeet.[protected]@makemytrip.com)

          1.
          When requesting him for this package, I had clearly mentioned that I would like to be put up in good and esteemed hotels which are professional and offer the BEST service possible. I also specified that I would like an Innova vehicle with AC and which is in smooth and good working condition alongwith a driver cum guide who was well versed with all the roads and places that were mentioned in my itinerary. Mr. Harjeet was clearly told by me that money is not a constraint and I should be provided with a value for money package since it was afterall my honeymoon trip.

          I am really disappointed to share with you that none of my requests were met.

          Mr. Harjeet had told me that the Makemy trip team first goes to the hotels registered with your company, inspects them in all departments and only then after satisfaction provides them to customers.


          a) Service Voucher no. - H[protected] Dt. 14/03/2012
          Hotel Name - Hotel Ritz Plaza, Amritsar (PB)

          When my wife and I reached this hotel, we were not even offered a welcome drink or even a warm welcome. Mr. Harjeet had mentioned that we would be receiving a welcome drink on arrival.
          Secondly, the quality of food and the variety of food available for hotel guests is third class. Even the local Punjabi dhaba provides much better hygienic and tasty food alongwith a warm welcome.
          Thirdly, when we requested at the reception for shower cap or toilet soap we were refused the same in a rude manner.
          The room service of this hotel was very poor. The restaurant staff and their service was very time consuming and incomplete. Moreover, the staff did not even know how to communicate properly in English.

          b) Service Voucher no. - H[protected] Dt. 14/03/2012
          Hotel Name - Spring Valley Resort, Mc Leod Gang (Dharamshala) - H.P

          Mr. Harjeet had booked a VIP room for my wife and me in this hotel. The staff at this hotel upon our arrival were hesitant to carry our bags. Here too we were not offered any warm welcome or welcome drink on arrival. The rooms of this hotel are really pathetic. There is no lift available in this hotel. This hotel does not even have a locker to keep valuables. The hotel is located at such a place where there are no good hotels or restaurants nearby in the vicinity. We needed a car to travel to a decent hotel for food that was 2 kms away. The only saving grace here was that the food served to us was tasty and hygienic. There are 2 plug points only in the room. One is for the TV and second for the refirgerator. We had lot of problem to charge our cell phone and the room heater provided by the hotel due to non-availability of more than 2 plug points in the room. The VIP room we had paid for was not given to us. We were put up in a normal room. Due to a bus full of tourists who had checked into this hotel at the same time as us and were allotted rooms above us, we had a sleepless night as they were very noisy and cooking food besides constantly dropping things on the ceiling of our room. We called up the Reception twice and placed a complaint but to no avail.

          c) Taxi Voucher no. - C[protected] Dt. 14/03/2012
          Company Name - R.K Tourism Pvt. Ltd., Chandigarh (PB)
          Travel City - Amritsar and Dharamshala

          Upon arrival at Ram Dass Jee, Amritsar airport, we were looking out for the person who was sent by this company to receive us. A lot of time got wasted due to him not having a Name Board
          (placard) bearing my name on it. The next day another driver came to the hotel to pick us up for sightseeing. This person did not have his duty job card, vehicle R.C. Copy, driving license, pollution certificate of the vehicle, vehicle insurance, etc. The Innova provided to us was not comfortable at all. The driver used to not even clean the car from inside/outside on a daily basis.
          The driver provided to us did not know any of the roads of Himachal Pradesh. He had never been to Dharamshala or Mc Leod Gang before. This was his first trip to these places of his life. Fortunately, I have been to H.P earlier and that is how I knew the roads and that helped me a lot.

          Regarding this driver I had spoken to R.K Tourism department on phone from Dharamshala. Even yet, he failed to help us. He promised me that he will talk to the driver and explain everything but still the driver was totally new to the city and 'lost in wonderland'. Due to this there were many places that we wanted to visit but we could not do so due to the lack of knowledge of our driver. The driver given to us had a mobile phone which he would switch on at his convenience to speak to his near n dear ones. Most of the time he would keep his mobile switched off and tell us that there is no balance in the phone. The WORST dilemma was that he would tell us to walk all the way back to his car parking stand and would refuse to pick us up eg. from the main market place. Due to this my wife and I had to walk and walk and walk for miles and climb several hills resulting in severe knee pain and cramps for her.

          Regarding Mr. Harjeet Singh, I would like to say the following: -

          1. I called Mr Harjeet many times on this no.[protected] but he would never pick up the call. Instead, some one else would pick up the phone and tell us that Mr. Harjeet is busy in a meeting/having lunch/in the toilet, etc. Like this I was being mis-lead throughout my trip. Nobody cared to help us or even to listen to our problems on the phone from your Customer Care department. When I called on your Customer care no., I was told that the package has been provided and nothing can be done now. Daily, I tried to call Mr. Harjeet nearly 100 times, but he would pick up my phone after seeing my no. displayed on the caller ID and cut it without speaking to me. Since I was on roaming, I have been heavily charged for these calls.
          Please enlighten me as to who would pay all my phone bills?

          I have never seen such a worst employee in any company in my whole life. When he wanted me to buy the holiday honeymoon package, he would persistently keep on calling me. However, now he is ignoring me completely and perhaps even feeling embarassed to answer my calls. Is this how you deal with all your customers? If this is how you deal with all your customers, then I have to only say this that I will be going to the Consumer Court and take legal action against your company. In future, I will never advise anyone to buy a holiday package from Makemytrip as I feel you are experts in breaking a trip rather than making a trip. I am going to post this mail on all social websites.

          I am sending my mail in writing to your Head Office in Gurgaon.

          I am eagerly awaiting your reply. I think that the least you can now do for me is to refund me all the expenses paid by me for my honeymoon holiday trip.

          Kindly ensure that justice is done to us and full re-imbursement of my honeymoon package provided to me.

            I have purchased international flight tickets from makemytrip.com booking with the full amount of Rs78896 for two pax and the flight was kingfisher airlines, but as per current problems going on with the airlines the flights have been unoperational, after calling and mailing several number of times to makemytrip i was only informed about the cancellation refund and after deducting charges i just got intimation of mobile message of Rs62296 will be processed( so i have to bare charges for no reason) but till date i have not recieved the full amount of refund and when i call makemytrip they just say i will be informed and all the to wait and wait, The flight is still on 28th which are unoperational so it is also not that the date has passed and the flights were there operating but the agent-MAKEMYTRIP.COM is holding my refund and not passing on to me for no reason despite of emails and calls made. I WOULD NOT AT ALL RECOMMEND MAKEMYTRIP TRAVEL AGENT as when you call them for after sales services they are not interested at all but while selling they are only interested to take money and forget it. TILL DATE 23/03/2012 I HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY FULL REFUND and neither MAKEMYTRIP.COM is confirming to give me full refund, I AM GOING LEGAL to sue this company.

              I have been chasing with your compavy snice 29 Feb requesting them incase there has been any shedule change in my booking .Pls ref to my email below till date I have not recived any reply from your company .Finally on monday my nice contacted your company and spoke to Bharat in delhi office and released that my fear was correct that there has been a change in my flights by the airline .i am not upset about the change but have a concern that your company never responsed to my mails and when I had requested Bharat to send me my e-tkt he did send .I had also requested him to contact me to Manoj (TL) or Rahul ( Manager) for which he said that they are not avaiable and will call me.This never happened .Later on 13 March I again called your company and got contacted to your chandigarh office where we got contacted to Navpreet who send me the tkt and connected me to her Tl Amanpreet totally useless.She had promised me that she will contact me to her manager or arrange a call back till 6.00 pm which never happened till date .This is not the frist time when make my trip has not informed me about my schedule change.I used your company in Dec and was flying with kingfisher and faced issues regarding the same issue .Even then nobody informed me about my change .
              Few questions

              Why should i pay service ffee when nobody bothers about the my bookings
              Useless mangers.

                My name is Someet Singh. I booked my vacation to Jaipur on 28th Dec, 2011.Which includes my hotel and flight fare. Any how my flights got canceled and airline people refunded my money back but Make my trip people are not refunding my money.
                Its being 2 months i kept on calling but every time they give me new reference ID to me but they are not in mood to refund my money.

                I had booked two bus tickets (Jaipur - Delhi) but in first attempt their was some problem so I tried again and in second attempt I was able to book tickets successfully.

                Now the problem is that this booking amount was deducted twice from my account and since 14-June-2010 i am requesting make my team to solve this problem and getting no response.

                They had asked to submit bank statement and i have submitted that 4 times but still getting no response.

                    I had planned a holiday for Kashmir and booked a package with Makemy Trip. I was asked to pay 50% advance and the remaining 50% one month before the journey commenced. However, I wrote to the company executive and they agreed that the balance money could be transferred after the tour was completed. Since this was not confirmed in writing, I sent an email to the company telling them that I would avail the package only when this condition was met.

                    After receiving my email, the company sent me the itinerary and the booking code and asked me to pay the balance within 30 days. I objected and called the senior official and asked them to cancel the booking. They pleaded with me stating that it was the fault of the junior colleague of their who had made a promise that is contrary to the company policy for payments.

                    The senior official was willing to give in writing that in the event the company did not provide the services that promised as per the itinerary, they would make a refund to me. Satisfied with this argument, I decided to go the package and asked them to send me the itinerary once again. I also transferred a sum of Rs 23,000 to the company's account as advance.

                    However, when I checked for the star status of the hotels that we had to e accommodated, I found that the company was misleading us. 1 & 2 star status hotels were mentioned as 3 star. When I confronted, they had no answers and finally when they were not able to give me the bookings in 3 star status hotels, the executive said that he will arrange to refund the full money.

                    I have been demanding an email from the company stating that my booking is cancelled and the refund has been ordered. The company is refusing to send me an email to this effect. I have sent reminder emails to the company but no one is acknowledging and till date I have not received my refund

                      i tried to book an hotel room for two persons in bangalore through makemytrip.com portal and made the payment using my icici account, but after the payment was successful the website showed error and after that when i spoke to the customer care they said to book the ticket again and that they would refund the amount in 72 hours, so the next morning i again booked the same ticket but when i spoke to customer care regarding my refund they put my call on hold several times (precisely 5 or 6 times) for more than 12 minutes and still they have no clue about what should be done or what went wrong or how this problem would be solved. so kindly look into the matter regarding the refund of the deducted amount and the poorest customer care service of makemytrip.com

                        My name is Hardik Dhamecha. I booked the ticket from Mumbai to Sydney via Make my trip.com and they charged me twice and did not give me any ticket so i called the call center and talked about the issue so they said it will b refunded within 7 days. It wasn't refunded in 7 days 1st thing i got the refund after a month and i am still waiting for my second refund and its 3 months now. I don't know how long should i wait for it now. I doubt it that they will refund my money or not there is not good response from the people at the office. No satisfacotry answer all I here is fake promises made my all of them will do it in 7 days and some manager there Named MR. Rajan Khullar promised me within 48 hours and its been 2 months since he told me about 48 hours. Please help me out with this issue the amount kind of big the amount is 23,096 which is to be refunded and if they are real gentelmen company the will offer me with the compensation aswell i think i deserve it as i called so many time wasted my times and they had my this money for like 3 months. I am just sick of this people please help me out with this.

                          Makemytrip is without doubt one of the worst companies out there.

                          I booked a return ticket bangalore to mumbai and back via makemytrip.

                          I cancelled the return (mumbai to bangalore) but not the onward one.

                          When I reported to the airport in Bangalore, I found that makemytrip had accidently cancelled this ticket too. I was at a loss as airline would not care or help (go Air by the way). I contact makemytrip and the lady told me that I should book another ticket on the spot and makemytrip will refund me the entire amount for the new ticket as the loss I incurred was due to their mistake. I was happy and booked another ticket on the spot costing me 6185 rupees.

                          I submitted the documents to makemytrip and now after 1 month I am still waiting for refund, After making several calls to them, they refunded 2356. I called up them again. The guy said the accounts guys had made mistake and the wrong amount was refunded.
                          (wow, first they cancel by mistake, then the refund wrong amound by mistake! what a joke makemytrip is!)

                          The customer service guys on the telephone are the most incompetent ones here (probably Airtel is the only company in India who has worst than them).

                          After calling them several times, the guys take 10 minutes to understand the problem, then they put me on hold for 10-15 minutes and then quietly disconnect the call. I had a very bad experience today when I had to call them 5 times, and each time after about 20 minutes, the guy disconnected the call. Each time a different guy would pick up and this would be repeated. When I told one of them about my ordeal, I could hear some snickering in the background, as if they are enjoying my suffering. The last person's name I recall is Kamal. I gave up trying as I has wasted 90 minutes on this already today, and more than 10 hours in all over the last month in calling them.

                          Please avoid makemytrip at all costs, no matter how nice their TV ads seem. It is a thug company. They only want your money and once they have it its in gods hands if you will ever get it back. They should be called "breakmytrip" instead.

                          People, please do yourselves a favor and spread the news about the frauds of makemytrip. Companies like this give India a bad name.

                            I I took my honeymoon package from make my trip.
                            I am not at all satisfied with the way I have been treated by your company even after spending around 1.30 lacs.
                            Disappointment started with the day one of the tour, upon our arrival to kuala lumpur we were transferred to Genting ( our first destination) by taxi.
                            We were promised the transfers by cable car ride to our hotel, cruise and purtajaya tour but the same was not given to us, I felt extremely bad and disappointed as we were misled by your executives. This was very disheartening.

                            In genting though my hotel was prepaid and pre-booked we waited for almost 5 hours sitting on a chair with all our luggage for check-in as check in timings were after 12 noon ( which was not informed to us) but we reached our hotel at 7:00am in the morning after a whole night journey. I called up Priyanka Juneja who booked my package from rajori garden branch, she informed me that she has left make my trip, then I called up Swati Bhardwaj who was taking care of our tour after priyanka.
                            Swati was very rude and said `` this is the way your package has been booked and I am just coordinating the same, and I cannot do anything about this.``.

                            After completing the formalities of check-in in first world hotel, we asked people at reception to send someone to help us taking our luggage to our room which was at 21’st floor, the same was denied. Me and my wife carried two suitcases and 3 bags on our own to our room, we were very tired but still we did not have any option other than carrying the luggage. The same happened at the time of check out as well.

                            As is mentioned earlier this was my honeymoon trip and the bed which were there in our room were two separate single beds, I called up reception to either join the beds or change our room, the same was again denied and we were left helpless.

                            Your executives promised us Indian breakfast for all 9 days but the same was not given, we got breakfast only for 7 days and that too was not Indian, that was Malaysia’s regional food which was very smelly and tasteless.

                            We were promised some shopping vouchers worth Rs. 20000 each for Malaysia, but we received them after our return to India and that too were for India not Malaysia.

                            Make My Trip — Misleading Promises

                            Dear sir,

                            I wish to inform you that i was offered " Great Indian Festible Offer" by make my trip which they offer to a selected customer. However the benifits that they offerred me in the call was not the same when i tried to redeem the same. In that offer I was promised of Dining Card in which i can buy the flight tickets at a 25% discount of the total cost which was confirmed by 2 department at a time. Again they gave some reedeemable voucher, where they did not mentiion anything like " I can redeem only if i make return trip from that". So they are grossly misleading the customer with false promises. I have request to all the customer please dont buy anysuch offer which Make my trip offers. Instead dont even go for normal booking in that site.

                            Pl remain away from this fraud company. This company aim is to only make copmission rather than satisfy the customers.

                            In my case they also cheat me. I have booked hotel thaugh them. My ID is NH[protected]. for booking hotel in Shimla from 10/06/11 to 12/06/11 (ie 02 days) they have charged 8293/- too much money.
                            In their confirmation mail they have committed as executive roo in a executive single star hote.

                            But in actually the hotel is very IIIrd class hotel in very poor location.

                            We have talked hotel manager then he said that " why you have booked thraugh My Trip. you should make booking directly. They only make high comission."

                            I conjecture to saw that hotel manager is giving those rooms in only 1000/- which we are booked.

                              I booked a trip from Delhi to Goa (both Air ticket and Hotel) through makemytrip.com on 04-Feb-2012. My booking number was NP[protected]. My travel date was 07-Feb-2012. Due to some urgent issues, i had to cancel my trip. I called to make my trip on 06-Feb-2012 in the morning to cancel my trip but i was informed to call them back in an hour since there server was down and they can not process anything until their server is up. I called them back in an hours, i was requested to call them after 3 hrs. Then i called them again after few hrs, i was kept on hold for 45 minutes and no one attended the call. I tried calling them again at mid-night, and i was kept on hold for 50 minutes but no one assisted me to sorted our my case.

                              Eventually i called to airline and managed to cancel my trip from Delhi to Goa, but goa to delhi trip could not be cancelled since airline suggested to contact my travel agent (makemytrip). Therefore, i called makemytrip again to cancel my hotel and Goa-Delhi trip and claim reimbursement. It was very strange that one of their agent received my call and transferred to someone else who kept me holding for 45 minutes but disconnected the call eventually. Therefore, i ends up with cancelling my Delhi to Goa flight only.

                              I sent two emails to makemytrip when i failed to get their feedback over phone. I was informed a reference has been assigned (number[protected] to check my case. Till date, there have been to feedback or response from makemytrip.

                              I have a serious feeling about this travel company and i think they have intentionally done that with me (and many other clients like me). Its a case of fraude and serious lack of customer service. I want my money back. There should be no reason of giving INR 18,261 to makemytrip for not delivering any service at all.

                                I made a fight ticket booking from Makemytrip site on 10th Feb,2012 from New delhi to hyderabad. The amount go deducted from my account and ticket was not booked. Till today i gave a call to the vendor for thrice and are just up to give me a several reference numbers butnot my money of 6705/- every time i call they tell it will be refunded back into my account in 72 hours. almost 10days completed but my amount is not yet refunded.                                   Hello, I am trying to book a flight on makemytrip.com continously since last evening.

                                  They have "MakeMyTrip Special" fare section, from where I am trying to book a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai for 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant for 5th March 2012 departing 19:05 - 22:05. Everytime I book the flight, amount is being charged to my credit card but the ticket booking is getting failed. I tried booking the ticket for another date/time under "MakeMyTrip Special" fare. but still the same result. Since last evening I have booked the ticket 7 times under "MakeMyTrip Special" and everytime my credit card got charged and ticket booking got cancelled.

                                    I had booked my tour (Honeymoon) through Make my trip. However, I am constrained to lodge a formal complaint against your company for embarrassment, inconvenience and defamation caused to me as per below details.

                                    As soon as we reached out first destination, i.e., Langkawi, it was to our utter shock that Hotel Berjaya Langkawi denied us check-in due to non-payment..!!! Whereas, we had made 100% payment to your company in advance well before the departure date as per the deal finalized and as per your terms and conditions. After a long discussion and argument with the hotel staff for about 2-3 hours, the hotel authorities were ready to allot us the room but only on the condition that we made them the payment of MYR 1500..!!! When I told them that my agent has already paid for the booking, they denied the same again saying they have not received any payment from your side. Again we had to try, persuade, wait and co-ordinate with your local agent and with your Indian staff (Namrata Shah @ Ahmedabad) to get the mess sorted out. Even though we wanted to get in touch with Namrata Shah, your Ahmedabad Office staff kept on saying that Namrata is currently not available and they will ask her to call back once she is available. They also refused to provide Mobile contact number of Namrata even though we explained them the entire scenario and the seriousness of the issue. We then had to speak to your local agent in Malaysia who somehow managed to convince the hotel staff about the issue and we were allowed to check-in after 3-4 hours of gruesome struggle and arguments.

                                    Above incident was outrageous on your company’s part which led a great deal of embarrassment and defamation to me in front of my newly wedded wife. Moreover, it wasted a good part of the entire day (4-5 hours) from short tour to Malaysia. How can such a blunder take place from a reputed company such as yours..!!

                                    The above incident was totally unacceptable to me. I would expect you to look into the matter and respond with appropriate justification and compensation to me in this regards.
