We've been booking with makemytrip for a few years and this year, we've had a very bad experience. Due to lack of coordination between domestic airlines within India and Makemytrip, one of our domestic legs was cancelled and we were never informed, which caused us to miss our international flight back, and incur a great loss to rebook all our return tickets, to the tune of Rs. 80,000. I have been constantly writing and complaining to Makemytrip since late July 2011, and till now, we have not had our complaints satisfactorily address. Very very disappointed!     I had booked a bus ticket with make my trip on 24 Aug, 2011. Bus Vendor was Neeta Tours and Travels.
    Due to some problem bus was cancelled. On contacting Neeta, they said for online booking refund would be processed by Make My Trip.

    Since then I had contacted Make My Trip for 5 times but their response was always same- ‘We have sent the mail, please wait for reply’

    Last time I had talked to Jai(customer care executive) on 1 Oct. And he had escalated the call to his senior Chandan.
    He had said problem would be solved in 3 working days.

    Please help me in at least getting the refund.

    They just refunded after waiting for more than a month. No cal, email or whatsoever. I have used Make My Trip after that.

    I wanted to booked a ticket of jet airways from hyderabad to guwahati which is scheduled to depart on Tue, 27 Jul '10 (09:20) .So I did it on 09-03-10 .
    but after entering my card details the web page redirected to a page which was not respoding.but when I checked my balance I came to know that the money has been deducted from my account & I didnt get any ticket.I already experienced the same problem before so I waited for it.But unfortunately the money is still not refunded.

    I booked a Train Ticket with Make My Trip on 9 June 2010. But the site hangs up in between and Money (Rs.1389) was deducted from account. I got a mail form MMT regarding the same and they told me to wait for & working days to refund. I got a mail on 12-09-10 confirming the refund of my money. but I did'nt got the money refunded. When I asked the MMT they told me to provide the bank statement in PDF. I provided..But afte that they just passing the time. I fired 10 mail to different supports of MMT.     I also booked flight through the same portal. Due to heavy rains in delhi I had to cancel the flight. But makemytrip does not respond to any request for refund. It is amounting to cheating the customers. It has happened with my family as well. I think he should not be allowed to operate at all.

    I had booked airline ticket for my maid from Kuwait to Chennai in Indian Airways through my Credit card on 20.8.2011 .The money was debited from my credit card and I received ticket 3 hours after flight departure.I called their customer care and spond about Rs.2000 and I have mailed them but till then I didnt get my money back.Please help me to get my money back.

      I used to purchase tickets for travels of mine and my staff to various destinations in India through the agency called Makemytrip. But they deceit us freequently by deducting money from my bank account and not providing any tickets. They promise that they will return my money back but that is not happening. Kindly take actions on them to return my money back to my account. My reference ID with them for the complaints :[protected] and[protected]. It makes me worried whether they do the same thing with their trusted customers often.

I had to go to my home town to attend the rituals for the demise of my 17 yrs old nephew from nasik to sriganganagar. from nasik to ahmedabad i had booked a bus ticket via makemytrip.com. makemytrip.com have not given any contact number of bus operator. on making a call to them they had given two numbers and both the numbers were fake and of some car rental. on again making a call they told sir need...

        I tried to meke a reservation from Bhavnagar(gujrat) to Borivali (mumbai) on the 14th of september 2011.
        The site www.makemytrip.com could not process my request. The transaction cancled but I am yet to receive any money refund from the merchant. I have registered a complain 8 times, yet I have been only receiving assurance.

        With reference to your post and checking further, kindly note that MakeMyTrip processed your refund for the amount of Rs. 3307.00 on February 15, 2010.

        We have received acknowledgment from SBI that due to a technical error at their end, the amount is not reflecting in your account.

        On your behalf, MakeMyTrip is pursuing the matter with SBI.

        I booked my air ticket on 12th Feb 2010 from Mangalore to Mumbai for 13th Feb online thru Make my Trip.The website was showing available seats and they extracted the amount from my account through the debit card immediately.But soon after that I received the message that the booking has failed and I had to book another ticket.They sent sms that the amount of Rs. 3307 will be refunded for my cancelled booking ID FLT[protected]. Till today, 12th March, I am yet to receive my amount.I have been calling them every day asking for the refund, but end up talking to all different executives through the computerised call. They keep telling me that their record is showing that the amount has been refunded and keep telling me to send the account statement which I have been doing to all different personnels from their company as well as to the customer service.They said after receiving the statement, they will call me back which they have never done. I am really upset with their service, though I am their regular customer.Please help me.
        I too faced the same problem with other travel agent named AEROJET TRAVELS. They are simply cheating people. It is really headache with these travel agents
        6 booking were made which were cancelled later on 6th September for which the amount is still not refunded. I've called them numerous times but the only reply which I get is that the complain will be sorted out in 48-72 hours and the refund will be made.

        Its been more than 6 months and still I haven't received it back.

        On 01/05/2011 i have booked a train ticket through tatkal (e-ticket) for my father at that time the waiting list was 79 and at the time of traveling received a sms stating that the ticket is confirmed and when my father travel, the TT ask about the ticket and he gave the print out of e-ticket which was generated through system and TT told that this is not a valid ticket and he didn’t travel as TT didn’t allow him to travel without a ticket...Pls refund the amount which was deducted from my bank account.

        I booked a ticket on june9 from bangalore to madurai and this is the booking id IN1106B10356.

        I didn't receive any eticket but the amount 11020 was deducted from my account.

        I cancelled my booking with MakeMyTrip on 25th August, 2012. It has been almost two months but they have still not refunded me my money back. My booking ID was NF[protected]. They keep on saying "give us 72 hours". As you can figure, it has been a lot of 72 hours since I cancelled my booking. They are not refunding my money on purpose. Make My Trip is a total fraud company and should be taken action against.
        There has been huge negligence shown from your side on my cancellation request.
        I have cancelled my ticket on 7th april but still refund has not been made in my account. My booking Id is IN1503B9S117080 and my cancellation refrence no. is IN1504R0S047167. I was told to receive the amount after my trip i.e. after 12 may.

        After ONE AND HALF MONTH long period if refund has not been made then it seriously damages the values of customer and unfortunately i have been greatly affected by this since there is no positive response after many long telephonic talks with your customer care people.
        This incident has diminished the reputation of make my trip after being such a prolonged customer.

        EXPECTING MY REFUND ON URGENT BASIS

          Makemytrip had a package to Singapore and Malaysia for 6 nights and 7 days. Despite payment of entire trip amount for 9 members in advance, they never provided us with the tickets till the last moment. Upon receiving the ticket we realised that the return was booked for early morning flight on the last day, instead of post noon.
          So basically the package should have mentioned 6 nights and 6 days instead of 6 nights and 7 days. Further they were completly thick-skinned when we requested them to provide what was promised in the itinerary.
          Such big cheats !!! The poor consumer is helpless and is left with little options.
          They also demanded that they would withold the cancellation charges as per their policy, if we decide to not go ahead with the trip.
          When we threatened to go to the consumer complaints forum- they seemed they cudnt care less.
          BEWARE OF SUCH SERVICE PROVIDERS.

            I had booked aticket from the portal on 2nd of Septeember 2011 for next day. The amount was debited from my account immediately but the ticket was never generated. I called up toll free no. [protected] almost 12 times each time I was advised to call after 30 min as the systems were not working properly. Ultimately in 13th call they denied the booking at around 9pm for morning 6oclock flight. The refund status they claimed will be done in next 7 working days and gave me reference no. Today, 25 days have passed but no refund has been received and each time I call up Call Centre the system are not working. I would like to go to consumer court with this details. Pls advice.
            Readers please avoid using Makemytrip.com for ticket booking.

              Booking Date: Sun, 18 Sep '11, 23:09 hrs for my friend. but when my friend went to that hotel they ask for the ID prof. Till now its OK. He has produced hid ID as he is working in Indian AIR FORCE.but there is one more friend with him. they also ask for that guy ID . but he got ID but that HOTEL manager asking for Some particular ID that he don't have. As i called to MakeMyTrip support they told me that ID is need for that person only by whom the ROOM has been booked. since One ID is enough so you talk to Hotel Manager. when i told this to that manager he told me that he is not ready. then again i called MakeMyTrip support this time they told be on HOLD we are trying to contact the HOTEL . then i got reply that we are not able to get them better you manage. Again i call MakeMyTrip support still they were telling we are trying to contact them but we are not able to. I was not able to understand that what type of agreement they have with that HOTEL that they are not picking their PHONE and once i told them to canceled the BOOKING as we are not staying there they simply told "As we are not able to CONTACT them we can't... we will inform you latter...." this the END of the story ...we have to shift to another HOTEL...Still waiting for the REPLY...

                Hi -

                I booked Vythri Resort at Waynad for a 2N/3D stay from MakeMyTrip on 20-Sep-11 and received a confirmed Hotel Booking Voucher from them on the same date. Also, the full booking amount of Rs.17437 was charged on my credit card. The voucher clearly said that the booking was confirmed and that i need not call the hotel or MakeMyTrip for further confirmation.

                Today, on 23-Sep-2011, I received a call from them that my booking has been denied and they will book me at another hotel or refund the money. This solution is unacceptable to me for the following reasons:

                I cannot cancel because:

                1. Me and my wife have already taken approved leave from work.
                2. We have made travel arrangements and cancelling will invite severe penalty

                I do not want to stay at another hotel because:

                1. No other hotel at Waynad is of the same standard and are mostly inferior.
                2. Other hotels were a lot cheaper at the time i booked this hotel, now MakeMyTrip is telling me that they are of the same value and equivalent.

                I am planning to take MakeMyTrip to court for this breach of trust and business malpractice. If anyone has been through simialr harassment at their hands, please let me know your contact details and we can file a class action suit. If anyone has taken them to court already, please share your experience so that we can benefit from your litigation experience.

                Also, please desist from doing any business with them as they are more expensive for one, and as per my discussions with my collegaues, this is their "Business As Usual" practice.

                  I booked a ticket for KPN travels from Chennai to Bangalore through Makemytrip.com which will depart from chennai at 8 AM on 18th Sept 2011 but the bus operator told that there is some technical fault and bus will not go at 8 AM and it will delayed by two hrs and depart at 10AM. We had to catch a train in bangalore and we need to reach there latest by 3PM so we can not carry with this KPN travels bus so we cancelled in case of bus operator issue/fault not that we don't want to go. Before cancellation of ticket I called customer support but he said cancellation charges will be same and we can not refund you full amt.

                  My question is if you don't provide service then you should refund full amt. If we have to go to bangalore and take rest there then I did not have issue but there was sequence of journey and late of Chennai to Bangalore trip would have effected in missing the next train. I was very disappointed with this kind horrible business tricks which helps company to earn higher rate on cancellation charge. I have not received 161 Rs as refund till now.

                  There is charge of 484 rs as cancellation penalty that is huge in this case. I really hate this cancellation charges so I request you to please refund the full amount.

                  When you can't provide service then you can not take money it is completely unsolicited and you are making one bad customer and I never do business with you guys.

                  Hope you understand the issue and refund the money to my account.

                    hi all,
                    i cancelled my flight for abudhabi on 29th august 2011 through makemytrip.com .actually refund date given to me was within 7 days but till now i havent received any amount from this travel agency..i had given my bank account details and everything on the day of cancellation itself but till now the money is not refunded..i called up somany times and they say wait for 48 hrs like that and since 1 week i am waiting and money is not received yet.these type of travel agents should be banned from operating such services..using ones money for their own bussiness investments is not gud on their part....please customers never opt to book airtickets through makemytrip.com....recently they said that they credited on 15th itself but today itself i confirmed them by sending my bankstatement that i havent received..why these people should tell lies....

                      We booked a good hotel room (solitair exotica resort) in Koorg for our once in a year trip through makemytrip in Dec 2010. The booking was done a month in advance and the sent confirmation clearly stated that booking is done and threre is no need to further call and check with hotel. The provided contact info of hotel was wrong in booking confirmation letter

                      We drove from Bangalore to Koorg and reached to hotel at around 8 pm in the evening. After completing the formalities when we entered in to the room, we found that this was a newly constructed room and still not complete. There were no doors, roof filled with mosquitoes and bugs , no AC , TV was not working and various other mentioned room fascilitis were missing.

                      We spoke to the staff and manager and they mentioned that this is the only room available and all 22 rooms are filled. They also mentioned that the booking was taken inspite of they informing the management that no rooms availble. They said that this has happened 3rd time in this month and refused to take responsibility.

                      I & my wife waited till 11:00 pm at reception but they didnt do anything and eventualy asked us to move to an equally good hotel for that night. We had no other option and agreed for the same. Hotel records will show that we never checkedout.

                      The new hotel room was in no way equal to what we had paid for but somehow we stayed. Next day we didnt recieve any call till 12:00 pm and were not able to get through to anyone in hotel.. Makemytrip executives assured of taking care of it multiple times but nothing happened . Finally we drove back to Bangalore and have been following this up with makemytrip since Jan 2011. We have stopped getting responses now.

                      Even if we dont get a full reimbursement along with emotional & pshychological torture compensation but still wanted to publish this so that people know about these agents. Till the time everything is smooth you will be fine with your agent but true test happens when a problem is reported and the way company approaches it.

                      Makemytrip did not care about all this as they possibly dint see any harm from 1 such complaint but this demonstrated that if no one get to know then they really are not interested/concerned in any communication once they have taken the money. If there is a safe opportunity then they will take advantage.

                      Instead of seeing travel company responses during problems we should avoid them in order to pass the message that they cannot afford to be relaxed/casual about the complaints where they are accused of cheating.

                      I have stopped using makemytrip for all my domestic and international travel.

                        The option o[censored]sing Make My Trip has resulted in a fiasco and a complete disaster of time and money.
                        The booking ID NH[protected] was confirmation recieved that my room was booked for 2 days in Tip Top Plaza, Mumbai.
                        On reaching Mumabi and the hotel I was informed that there is no booking from Make My Trip for the two days.
                        Calling and informing the helpdesk also proved futile cause they seem to be having this tagged as my problem.

                        I DONT NEED ANY REFUND BUT PLEASE DO NOT USE MAKE MY TRIP FOR ANY HOTEL BOOKING AND NEVER USE TIP TOP PLAZA, THANE (W)

                          Today I booked a honeymoon package to Kerala from Makemytrip agent. Immediately after paying the whole amount of the package electronically, their agent (makemytrip) called me back and told me that I need to pay 1000 Rs for every night at the hotel desk. This "HIdden Cost" was never told to me until I paid the full amount.

                          The explanation given by the travel agent of makemytrip and her supervisor was that they did not know about this additional cost and asked me that I would have looked at the hotel's website instead.

                          I feel cheated as makemytrip agent did not tell me about this "HIdden Cost" . I want an explanation from makemytrip customer delight team as why I need to pay an extra amount which was not mentioned in all the calls and emails with makemytrip.

                              I am proprietor of car rental company ( Himalayan Holiday ) and vendor in Make My Trip and i have provide the transport services to Make My Trip clients for 06 Months and our total billing was around 450,000.00 and they was stooping my payments due to non register vendor after that we show all email to them. Then they had clear my payments of Rs 400,000.00 ( Four Lakhs ). Mr. Rohit and Mr. Vinay Saini is very helpful persons and i m very thank full to him.

                              But the person Mr. Ruchin Kothari and his mobile number is [protected] he used my car for outstation use for 3 or 4 times and the amount of Rs around 45000.00 still pending on him and they can not pickup my call from last 2 months if i will try his some from somewhere than he picked call and tell me i will file the case i[censored] ask me about payments. so now i m requesting to Mr. Deep Kalia please release my payments asap. we already sumitted 3 or 4 times duplicate bills to your accounts department to Mr. Vipin Koli.

                              Makemytrip.com — Incompetent, Fraudulent

                              We tried booking 2 tickets from Pune to Bangalore and the site 'froze' part-way through the process, but AFTER accepting our credit card details. There was no e-ticket or itinerarary confirmation sent by the company, so we believed that since their system had 'frozen' through the booking, the transaction was not completed and the booking was not made.
                              We then proceeded to make another booking for the same flight, same passengers which was successfully completed.
                              Imagine to my horror, when, 1 month later, I see 2 separate charges on my credit card, including for the first incomplete transaction! Even though none of the formalities were completed at my end, nor did we receive any confirmation from them, they went ahead and charged my card for the amount!
                              This is a technical problem called 'two phase committ' which sites had almost 10 years ago, but has long since been fixed by ALL professional companies. To see this company with this problem in this day and age is horrendous and scary - they cannot be trusted with ANY online transactions and customers should not trust this site anymore.
                              When we spoke to the company about this, they said it is 'our problem and responsibility to call the company if we believe a transaction has not been properly completed, NOT their problem or responsibility to ensure that all online transactions are completed properly!!". So the extra Rs. 23,000 has to be borne by us now!
                              Needless to say, we will NEVER use this site again, and we are also proceeding against them in consumer court. THis is just to warn other passengers against using this site, so they don't suffer the same fate.
                              Actually none of the online travel agents can be held accountable for such problems.

                              The safest thing is to book directly on the airline sites by using sites such as ixigo.com that search across all airline sites and redirect you on airline websites to complete the booking. That way you will only deal directly with airlines and not get harassed for cancellation charges or service fees.

                              Make My Trip.com — OVERCHARGING FOR UPGRADATION OF AIR TICKET

                              I booked an air ticket through make my trip .com under ticket ID-IN1101B09711 ON DUBAI-DELHI-DUBAI SECTOR The issued ticket was partly business and partly economy..
                              Ipointed out the mistake and asked them to upgrade the ticket to fully business class. They issued another ticket under ID -IN1101B09922 and charged me 28000 extra for upgradation,
                              on reciept of the new ticket I noticed that even the new ticket was partly economy-and partly business.
                              My repeated requests to the dealing person only resulted in promises to correct the mistake but no action actually and no correction of the ticket issued.

                              Make My Trip.com — NEGLIGENCE FRAUD AND INCOMPETENCE

                              We requested Flight + Hotel package in Sonesta Inns, Goa from 2nd April 2011, to 4th April 2011, for 6 adults on 27th March 2011.

                              Our booking id was NP[protected].

                              Makemytrip confirmed through your email on 27th March, the following:

                              Departure:
                              Kingfisher Airlines IT 131 Mumbai – Goa 0500 hrs, 2nd April, 2011.

                              Return:
                              Kingfisher Airlines IT 337 Mumbai – Goa 0630 hrs, 4th April, 2011.

                              2 nights accommodation at Sonesta Inns, Candolim for 6 adults.

                              Their office called on 29th March to inform us that you had changed our outbound flight, and that we would be traveling on Jet Airways instead. However, our return flight was to remain the same and had been confirmed. We received the e-tickets for these confirmed flights the same evening.

                              Departure:
                              Jet Airways 9W-479 Mumbai – Goa 0540 hrs, 2nd April, 2011.
                              Status: confirmed , PNR no EABUF

                              Return:
                              Kingfisher Airlines IT 337 Mumbai – Goa 0630 hrs, 4th April, 2011.
                              Status: confirmed , PNR no EOAEYR

                              We arrived in Goa on Jet airways as planned, spent two days there and arrived at the airport at the kingfisher counter at the Goa airport for our CONFIRMED return flight, only to be told our tickets had been VOIDED, on the 28th of March itself, BY MAKEMYTRIP .
                              I called their toll free line from my mobile from the airport and was on hold for 8 precious minutes before I managed to speak to a Mr Nitin, who was unable to help us and put us on hold for over 10 minutes. I called twice more and spoke to Ms Navpreet and then Mr Rohit. who were neither apologetic nor helpful. They all promised to call us back. They did not.
                              Eventually finding myself and my family stranded at Dabolim Airport with no other way home, I was forced to purchase 6 tickets on Go Air.

                              FOR 29 HOURS POST MY CALLS... NO RESPONSE... I called again and spoke to a Miss Anchita who connected me to a Mr Bhaskar who said that he will call back in an hour.. for 3 hours no response.. when they did call i was out of the room and they called only once...and never bothered to call back again

                              which means
                              1. THEY HAVE TAKEN MY MONEY AND NOT GIVEN ME TICKETS.. THIS IS ROBERRY
                              2. THEY HAVE MADE ME SPEND ANOTHER 40 THOUSAND EXTRA OR SO FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE .. AND THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THAT
                              3. THEY THINK THEY ARE DOING ME A FAVOUR BY RESPONDING TO MY PROBLEM???

                              HOW CAN WE DEAL WITH THIS

                              I am Anju Kansal from Punjab. I booked an air ticket via Make My Trip from chandigarh to bangalore. but the ticket timings has got changed. I called MMT customer service and told them that their is an error in the booking and a wrong flight has been booked. They said me sorry for this and said that we will change the flight within next 3 working days or we will refund you the whole amount. but 11 days have passed and still their is no refund or change of flight. The tickets fares are rising day by day but now they are saying that it is not their fault. and they r neither refunding the amount nor changing the ticket.                               HE did not call us back till 31st oct, and not even ask us for balnce payment, we called him on1st NOV he then he sent the flight detail . HE changed it and our return flight is now @ 1:50 PM goa PNR NO ZJT2BD spice jet,
                              and today on 5th NOV he is changing our RESORT to some other hotel Bella Rosa Hotel or hotel la paz garden .
                              These hotel are not on the same beach as we selected .
                              I request you to personally look in this matter and solve our problem as our schdule departure is very near and save our programe .

                                  sir i done a railway ticket booking on 24/08/11 through make my trip,but due to some technical problem the status showed is failed.and as per the agent the amount will be return within the next two working day.but till date idon't get any refund.i lodge complain also to the official site of the co.my transaction id is NR[protected] & my complain reference id #[protected].please take the neccessary action to refund my amount.

                                  Makemy trip.com is world's on of the worst travel portal which has no customer care support for their Rail customers, and always they claim to be no1, you will not be able to ever get connected with their customer care if it is for Rail booking, so i would sincerely request to every indian to not to use the services of makemy trip.com, and i am also trying to get appropriate section of gvt department to make written complaint regarding their mis conduct, i have transacted not less than 8 times and still i am awaiting for my refund, ,

                                  Just now i received a email from their rail care regarding the none confirmation of payment of for Booking Reference Number NR[protected] and truth is that i have not made any booking from makemy trip .com, and now they are claiming for money which can be debited from my card as per their wish,

                                  i am still awaiting for my refund of aprx 6 transaction...MakeMyTrip Booking ID: NR[protected] is a name a few,

                                  Do not go for make mytrip since they are not customer oriented,

                                    There was Emergency so I booked the ticket from Bangalore to trivium from clear trip.com. i got the confirmation after 1 hour (refer attachment) but didnot got E ticket from their side. I called so many times to customer care and they told i will get Pnr number within Half an hour. At last moment means at departure time they said ticket didn't processed you can take your ticket from the counter and we will revert your money to your account. Isn't it harassment to people ?

                                      This is to bring to your notice the horrendous experience that I had to undergo after booking a travel package through you,for your ref I booked a kovalam package on 20th June and my booking id no is 1106B09783,I also booked the Indigo flight and the PNR no is CEYTAQ.I have stated below the sequence of events and would want your comments and action on the same.It was a very stressful and tension driven vacation and I would like to forget the same asap.



                                      Till the time,package was finalised I used to get 8-9 calls daily from Mr Aarif,he was the gentleman who finalised our itenary.Once we had booked the package,it became impossible to ctc him,even after sending him messages on e mail...we never got a revert or call from him.



                                      We were told by Mr Aarif that an extra seat would be provided for our child and he even charged the amount for the same but we were never provided the same in the aircraft and as usual Mr Aarif was not available on phone.



                                      Our package included 3 breakfast/lunch or dinner,free aurvedic massage for a couple but the hotel refused this saying that they did not had any confirmation on this and we were only provided 2 breakfast/dinner and the rest we paid from our pockets,there was no complimentry massage also.We have written confirmation from Mr Aarif on the same.



                                      This came as a big surprise to us,we called make my trip nos[protected]/[protected] TWENTY THREE TIMES on 13th aug from Kovalam but did not manage to speak to Mr Aarif as he was too busy to come on line.We managed to speak to Mr Raju who promised that he would call back but never bothered to do the same.In this age of internet and e mails,we could not get any confirmation till 16th about our package.It surely means that we were misled about the package by Mr Aarif.



                                      This kind of service is not expected from such a big organisation,I would now think many times before reccomending your service to any body and I am also planning to put this up on social networking sites.I have given my feedback also on line and I am expecting some kind of damage control exercise from you guys.My holiday was spoiled big time by make my trip team,if you want I can forward you the email confirmation that were sent by your team.



                                      There was no effort to provide the right kind of feedback and lots of lies and deciet was involved to gain the customer and once we were through with the transaction,everything was very conveniently forgotten....though I have given my on line feed back yesterday but I am yet to hear from you people.
