TELECOM REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF INDIA NEW DELHI SIR, The following COMPLAINT by way of representation was sent to Mr. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani -- Chairman Reliance Communications which is self explanatory . As the Chairman or any other responsible officer ( including designated nodal officer and the Appellate Authority of the company has not cared to even acknowledge the receipt, we are constrained to approach you to kindly take cognizance of this unfair, illegal and customer inimical practice adopted by the telecom operator defying your specified regulation. We are appalled to receive a number of complaints about an unfair and illegal practice adopted by your group company Reliance Communications . It is noticed that even by mistake if star key on the user handset is “pressed”, he/she is deemed to have subscribed to the CALLER TUNE. An instant SMS is sent to the subscriber confirming having given the consent for subscribing the VALUE ADDED SERVICE and levying the entire monthly charge in advance . When the subscriber protests that he never intended to subscribe this, your CSE instantly tells that “the moment the star button is pressed, you deem to have subscribed to the caller tune service. Even if you unsubscribe now, the charges have already been debited which are not reversible by me” 2 2 Such a customer inimical practice not only is UNFAIR but ILLEGAL too as the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has applied a rule for all Telecom Service Operators that “ NO CHARGEABLE VALUE ADDED SERVICE LIKE ….. CALLER TUNE ….. ETC. SHALL BE PROVIDED TO A CUSTOMER WITHOUT HIS/HER EXPLICIT CONSENT” The above practice of the company thus violates this regulation and causes unnecessary harassment of subscriber, creating avoidable dispute and subsequent reversal/crediting back the already billed amount, thus wasting a lot of time and getting a bad name for the company . 3 This Cell, before lodging a formal complaint/grievance with the Regulator and the Media, thought it fit to bring this to your kind notice to rectify/ withdraw the said unfair/illegal practice immediately to avoid tarnishing the fair image of ADAG. We fondly hope that you will do the needful at the earliest under intimation to us . Reliance Infocom is a Fraudulent Company. They are doing this to all their Customers. Also they deduct small amounts of money regularly from all their Customers. Therefore, please throw away your Reliance Mobile and buy Tata Docomo or Tata Indicom or Airtel or Vodafore Sims. Please spread this message to all Reliance Customers who are your Friends or Relatives.
REQUEST TO CONTINUE THE FACILITY OF 995 PLAN, SAME AS OTHER PLAN

I had activated my unlimited 995 on 25th of july.That time there were so many facilities including free calling on RTL nos. of bihar, mp, etc. But from 18th of august free calling on RTL nos. was closed from total plans and onnet packs.After sometime you provided a new onnet pack of 149. Which is activated in every plan except my unlimited 995 and 770.Rght now i am in mumbai and i have to face a lot of problems. There is some problem to change my mobile number. What should I do?
I have already sent my REQUEST to Nodal officer sir on[protected]. This is a request to reliance so don't accept as a complaint.

I’ve cancelled my Land line service [[protected]] on 28/12/2009.On that time I was told that in 45 to 60 days I’ii receive my deposite amount Rs.1000/-
It’s more than 71 days but till I’ve not received my deposite amount.Kindly look into the matter & send deposite amount at an early date

with best regards I beg to inform you that there is no any tower within the range of 11km so that all the villagers and I also facing the problem of call drop. no any other customer interested to buy the new sim because there is no network of any company. Sir due to unavailability of tower I want to give my land on rent to install the tower of any tower. There are only 1 signals bar shown in my mobile while I am using the nokia2626. I am facing this problem from 2years.

NOW I AM FORCED TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION AGAINST YOUR COMPANY FOR THE LOSS I INCURRED IN BUSINESS, MENTAL HARRASSEMENT AND LOOSING POTENTIAL CUSTOMER OF MY BUSINESS.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMPANY TO CROSS VERIFY THAT WHO IS THE CUSTOMER AND WHETHER HE OWNS THE SIM BY HIS/HER NAME.

Reliance Communications — UNFAIR PRACTICES
I am using reliance CDMA no.[protected] for past 03 months. i had not given any request for caller tunes or sms shero-shyari, but these services were activated by the company and money was deducted from my pre paid account without my knowledge. When i contacted their call center they could not give any satisfactory reply . I request RELIANCE communications to refund the amount deducted ,for the services not used.
