[Resolved]  Nokia 5220 Xpressmusic — Sim Card Registration Failed Problems

Dear Sir,

I purchased a Nokia 5220 Xpressmusic from a store in Mumbai.
It was a great experience at first, but that was short-lived.
After using the phone for about 1 month, it started giving display problems & 'Sim Card registration problems'.
I tried different sim cards but the problem persisted.
Finally, I gave the phone to the dealer asking him to send it to the service center.
The phone was repaired (or who knows what these people do), & it worked fine for about 6 months.
Again the same problems started & I was compelled to give the phone for repairing once again.

Then, after the expiration of my warranty period, the problems again started.

Then I went to the New Customer Service Center at Elphistone Rd. in Mumabi.
After paying Rs.800 as repairing charges, i was given the phone back with assurances that it will work well.
Hoping for the good I started using the phone to find much to my dismay that after 30 days (which is coincidently the warranty period for repaired phones at the service center) the problems surfaced again.

Is this enough evidence for a pure & organized scam being done?
And by allowing these sub-standard & cheating service centers being run, Is Nokia a part of it too..??
Being a Loyal Nokia customer for 4 years, all we get is this?

Its really a shame on Nokia's part & openly breaking the customers trust in Nokia.
I would really buy a cheap so called 'China' handsets (wherever they are made) rather than buying a Nokia in the future.
Because rather than giving false warranty & assurances etc, they give "No Guarantee"

I also know that this complaint will go unnoticed like the thousands of complaints here, but needed to voice my opinion nevertheless.

nokia 5220 mobile phone — 5220 phone failed

i bought a 5220 from the chennai first day i noticed it restarts automatic while listening to songs and .when you trying apply themes and change the play list .some time it will says no memory while playing a perticular song .and you can not access the music player and .some time it will say invalid app when you try to play songs .some time you can not make calls it will disconnect the call and when you get call it will show the incomming call but will not ring .and speaker biggest failure the sound is very low .and cracking like it is going to burst out .i have have stopped calllng it a loud speaker .today gave it to the nokis care to repair but i do not want this phone i wiant my money back .i feel like cheated .i feel like crying .pls help me

nokia 5220 xpressmusic — having many problems with the device

Initially my mobile was working fine...but as 4-5 months passed...the series of problems begun...starting from..one of the loudspeaker stopped working suddenly...then the memory cards are corrupting due to the hanging of device. Also one day all of my messages got disappeared n after some days a part of messages were displaying while other messages were displaying as just blanks and they were not opening or showing any text.? The height of its stupidity was when the music player did not respond showing memory not available ..the player is not opening with any songs or else.
I think my mobile device is completely got damaged. Since i have checked it for viruses. I'll be very thankful to you if you help me.
my nokia 5220 was purchase 2feb 2009, after 2month facing problem my phone auotmatic restart, hang, no message display, after no display, no restart 8 times i went nokia service center after repair again facing this type of problem again and again.i req to nokia care replace my phone but they denied.plz sir do something.
