Dear Sir/madam,
My son had taken an educational loan from State Bank of India, Main Branch, Palghat for his MCA course with self and wife as co-applicants. Now the loan is about to close by next month. For your information, we had taken an amount of approximately 1.6 lakhs in 3 instalments spreading over 3 years. An amount of about 2.3 lakhs (approx) had already been repaid by us. According to the bank officials, still we have to pay still Rs. 50685. kindly give your valuable suggestion to the following

1. Is it possible to get any deduction from of the balance amount. If so to whom should I approach?
2. According to the news paper reports, Central Govt had decided to write off the interest of the education loan – during the period of study. Will it be applicable in this case. When approached AGM it was told by him, that they didn’t receive any official orders regarding this.
Kindly give your valuable advice in this matter.

    we are working in bangalore recently my company announced opening salary account for sbi bank.my office near one brach office is there now going asking the procedure they not respectly speaking after five day again go to bank submit the proof every thing is correct even address proof and working address and all document.but that bank people not accepted.it will take long time i book online complaient no respons.that bank manager also not respectly speaking.if i go he will angry what to do.

      I had lost my SBI ATM/Debit card on July 2005 after which I filed a GD in nearest police station and submitted a written letter to my branch informing the loss of card and also applied for a new ATM/Debit card. After 4 years, that lost card is still active. SBI did not deactivate my card as of yet. Charges for the same is still being taken off my savings account.

      Now comes the most dreadful illegal side of State Bank of India. After card loss and application for a new card, they issued me a fresh ATM/Debit card. SO, now I have 2 Active ATM/Debit cards in the same account and in the same name. SBI is taking charges for 2 active cards from my account.

      I visited branch many times, they only ask me to call at the cards division since they say that branch cannot deactivate any card: why didn't they tell me about this when I submitted the complaint with GD? The branch is of no use - they didn't tell me while I filed the complaint. Now after repeated calls to cards division which is at another city, they're asking me who can we verify you? God! How to handle this dreadful illegal aspects of SBI?

      Is it legal to issue another card to a customer in the same name and same account? My account is with State Bank of India Southern Avenue Branch in Kolkata (branch code is 1505), they completely failed to help me in this issue. My lost card is still active (no loss of funds, thank God) but I am paying for 2 ATM cards. How many more years do I have to keep paying for this fault of SBI's?

        SIR,
        I Sukumar Subba serving in CRPF presently in Jammu and Kashmir have a savings account ([protected]) with SBI HASIMARA code no-1447 dist- Jalpai guri, West bengal

        I heve used Jammu and Kashmir Bank ATM dated 21/11/2008 at about 1050 HRS for withdrawal of Rs.5000/-, I tried to do the transaction for only 1 time but did not happen. But when I checked my bank statement Rs. 5000/- was debited out of my account.

        Suddenly I approach the nearest J & K bank and inform the same, they advise me to contact with my SBI Branch. Then I complained to my SBI branch on 26/11/2008 and I also met with SBI branch manager Hasimara on february 2009 during My Leave,after this SBI Hasimara delivered a letter addressing to J&K Bank Branch SKIMS SOURA SRINAGAR J&K dated 03/03/2009 for verifying cash in their ATM and remit excess cash tas credit in my account.
        But J&K Bank refuses to this and inform SBI Hasimara for contact with NFS (National Finance Switch) for settlement of disputed ATM txn vide thier letter No JKB/SKIMSS/MISC/2009-447 dated 21/03/2009.
        Both J&K Bank and SBI agree that a mistake has been done from their side, but no one is helping me out & blaming each other for mistake.
        I have running from post to post and contact telephonic ally to get the matter resolved but nothing has happened till date.
        SBI not responding about this matter after its occurs more than 11 months.

        I am serving for the Nation in the High sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir so I may not get time for complaining again and again.
        So I humbly request you to look into the matter and take action for back my money.

            mera atm card se bank ki galti ke karan paisa kat gya tha jo ki 6-6-2009 ko kata tha aur[protected] ko vapas aya hai. jiska panlty RBI ke anusar jo ki denik bhashkar ke[protected] ko aya tha ki 12 din kr andar paisa nahi anne par 100 panlty per day ke anusar mughe bhugtan nahi kiya kya hai.

                  Hi,

                  Even i posses a sbi card and its been a year i have stoped using it . I never got the statement after that and now they are telling that i have a huge balance and i have to pay it immidiatily. I did ask for some time, this sbi legal officer is harassing me through phone during my work time . he even called my manager to harase me. This legal officer sathya talks like a gunda and uses unethical words.
                  I am not able to concentrate on my work because of this. Please find me a solution for this.

                          As a responsible customer you need to always ascertain 2 things. Always take acknowledgment receipt of any application you make for any kind of financial product. If you have the Application Form Brochure given after form fill up which contains the Application No. you can easily track your status online through SBI card website www.sbicard.com or you can call up their helpline and know your status at the onset from customer care. Pls note Agents normally do not give the acknowledment no. or receipt to the customer unless insisted.

                              I had opened an account in the guwahati medical college branch of SBI at guwahati about 10days ago,i applied for internet banking account the next day itself and immediately i received the kit containing the user id and password,i was told that the account would be activated within 24 hrs.
                              But even after 8 to 10days,i am unable to access my account at online sbi site,whenever i try to log in using the user id and password provided in the kit,i get the response as "Invalid Username or Password",I even tried to lodge an online complaint,but failed because the following message pops up,"Enter valid account no.and Branch",
                              Plz look into the matter as soon as possible as i am working in a remote ase,nearest sbi being 30kms away,and the only way to access my account is through net banking...

                              I do agree with the complaints posted above. I have an account in SBI Nayagaon, Jabalpur Branch.I applied for internet banking id & pwd and was given a Kit from my branch but when I registered online the user id was linked to some other person's account. I was able to view his account details and I can even trasfer funds also.This according to me is a serious security breach. I again wrote a letter to my branch and then was issued a new Kit. But now when I try to login with the new user id/ pwd provided I get the message as "Invalid Username or Password".On trying to lodge an online complaintthe following message pops up, "Enter valid account no.and Branch". I have been to my concerned branch 5-6 times and the issue still doesnt get resolved.
                              I am still able to see the other user's account details from the old user id/pwd and I am still not able to register from the new Kit provided.

                              Please look into the matter. I am seriously dissatisfied and irritated with the response of SBI people. The customer care service itself is a waste with their executives not knowing what to say or do.

                                SBI Credit Card — Improper delivery

                                I had requested my Card to be delivered to my office address. But the same was sent to my residence address where no one will recieve it on working days.

                                The Elbee customer care was not very helping but rather sloppy with all sorts of excuses. Pls tie up with some more professional Courier Services as it is linked with your brand image.

                                This is sudhakar. I applied for SBI credit card and courier people came for delivery on which I was out of station and courier boy conformed the same with my neighbors and he stating that card has to be handed to the card holder with appropriate proof. After 3 days I got a call from bank and stating that my card due date and billing date, at that time I informed that I didn`t receive credit card sofar.From then onwards my struggle started that my card limit is 24000k and first transaction was 23850rs and I have to pay the amount, after many discussions with bank people they visited my house along with courier boy and collected feedback from me and neighbors and they conformed that courier people ar e main culprits but still I am getting mails and calls regarding bill payment.Could you please help me in sorting out this problem and I want no due certificate from SBI bank

                                  SBI Card — WRONG BILL & HARRASHMENT BY SBI CARD

                                  I have an outstanding of Rs 44563/- and due date was 30.09.2009 and I paid whole amount i.e Rs 44563/- on 17.09.2009. But SBI card issued a forge bill against my card and showing flase transaction. Not only this time, but also they tried to same thing earlier.

                                  I recommend to banned this bank card immediately for cheating case to their customer.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I am having SBI SB Account NO, [protected] and also having ATM cum Debit Card No.[protected] on 18th October, 2009 at 11.25 I was using ATM of Canara Bank at Guru Kripa Auto Turbhe, New Mumbai. I entered all the necessary information and I was suppose to withdraw cash of Rs. 2500/ from SB account even though the transaction was OK I could not get the cash but the amount of Rs. 2500/- is debited to my account under record no. 1941

                                    Please do the needful so that the amount be crdited to my account or give me the concered authority's email where I should file the complaint

                                      I had got opened a saving bank account no [protected] in SBI, RATANLAL NAGAR BRANCH(CODE-7646),KANPUR on dt.13.09.2009.But till date 18.10.2009 i have not received welcome letter/passbook/checkbook even after repeted request and complaint through personal visit to branch as well as mail and internet banking.
                                      Branch staffs are very lasy in working. They are haresing to customer.Due to delay beside haresment i am getting loss as i am unable to make transaction in my account.
