[Resolved]  SBI Credit Cards — debit to my account due to fraudulent transactions

Dear Sir,

I am holding a credit card from SBI (Card no. [protected]) since last 5-6 years. On 24th Jan'13 midnight (@12.33 am) I received 4 SMS from SBI card that transactions were made from my card. the details are as under (The total amount was Rs. 217392.46) :

I called SBI Customer care immediately after 20 min @ 12.55 am and informed them that these transactions have not been done by me. They assured me that they are aware about this and this card has been blocked with immediate effect. They also assured that they will investigate on this matter and revert the transactions to my account.
On further follow up with SBI, they credited Rs. 200020.63 to my account and remaining amount of Rs. 17371.83 was still to be credited.

I was surprised to see that a statement from SBI card has been generated on 18th Feb claiming an outstanding amount of Rs. 7399.68 to be paid by me by 10th of March'13.

This was a total shock for me and I am not prepared for any kind of payment to be made. Also, I can not afford this.

I have further written to SBI card about this and expecting a favourable response.

I would request you now to intervene and arrange credit of entire fraudulent amount to me.

SBI Credit Cards — Insurance primium debited in my account

Dear Sir

I have applied for the SBI credit cards and during the process I have clearly mention that i don't want to have any kind of insurance and even that agent had also told me that this card is life time free there will not be any hidden charges or process charges will taken against the card

But after one month they have started to debit Rs 47 as an issurance primium while it was clearly mention by me that I don't want to have inssurance so I have refused to clear the amount even I had maid a complaint regarding the same they have replied that mine qurries will be clear soon, now from last to statment they are debiting Rs 950X2=1750 to my accoutn as late payment panalty I have also maid a complain for this also but there is no reply from authorities

SBI Credit Cards — Harassment over the phone regarding payment of Insurance fees

Hi,

I have been receiving calls from the SBI Credit Card callcentre based in Delhi regarding payment of dues. I had informed them that I have never used my credit card and intend to cancel the same. Hence there should be no dues. I was informed that there is some amount that I need to pay as premuim for an add on insurance policy taken. I told them that since I was cancelling the card, I was no longer interested in continuing with any insurance policy and I would cancel the same once my exams got over.I have cancelled my card dated 22 nd March 2008.However, I have been getting calls when I am in the midst of meetings, in the morning or at any time convenient to them and they just start talking about the same payment issue. Despite my card cancellation, I received calls from their call centre at 7:59am on Sunday 23rd March and then again around 8:30am and again later on during the day.I am getting non stop calls from their end again on the 24th of March 2008 at regular intervals starting from 8:15am(approx) onwards. As a policy holider with other insurance companies, I am aware that incase I do not wish to continue with a policy and dont pay the premium, the policy lapses. There is no compulsion that I have to pay them premiums eventhough I do not wish to continue with the policy. I am from the financial sector and know very well how the insurance industry works. I am sick and tired of receiving calls from them.

PLEASE HELP !!!

SBI — Harrassment for payment of policy

I am a SBI credit card holder. They sent me a "SUPER SURAKSHA" policy through post without my consent on my credit card. Now they are asking me to pay for that policy, though i have not signed any written document. Inspite of repeatedly telling them that i don't need this policy, they are forcing me to pay the amount. I have sent them an email on 15th oct 2008 asking them to cancel my policy as well as my credit card and have received an email on 17th oct 2008 stating that that this policy has been cancelled and their is no further debit. Still i am receiving calls from SBI asking me to pay the amount. Now they have sent me a letter asking me to pay for the policy or else they are threatening to charge me with extra charges . The letter was sent to me on 23rd sep 2008 and was signed by Ryali Bharadwaj. I recieved this letter on 14th dec 2008. I am being harrassed by them. Please help.

SBI Credit Card — Harrasment on phone by collections

I had SBI Credit card no[protected] for which I had received a settlement offer as I was not using the card since long. The amount mentioned on settlement letter was of 18000 to be paid in three installments. The last installment was paid by me on 18/07/2008. I even have the receipt of the same.

But after paying the full amount after every fifteen or twenty there is a executive from some collection agency of SBI and ask for the payment. I am a working woman and normally not available at my home during day time. My old mother and small kids are there. The executive comes at home and every time they give threatnings to my mother and kids.

I request the RBI grievances cell to pls help me in this and stop this collection eexcutives.

phone harrasment — harrassment on phone

my name is sourabh
i am recieving calls from some recovery agents everyday from no. [protected] and he ask for mr . pradeep rao.
but there is no pradeep rao in my family, he says that u have to pay back the amount that is defaulted by mr. pradeep rao. and this is his telephone no.

but actually i got this telephone from bsnl in july 2008 in my name .
instead of telling him that he says he don't care since the telephone no. is now in your name u have to pay the amount and uses abusive languages and threatens to sue me.

i repeatedly says that i am not the person he is looking for and i got this no. only few months back from bsnl, he still calls me everyday.

please help me whether it is bsnl mistake because they have given me the no. which is used earlier by some other person or whether the recovery agent who threatens me by calling everyday.

what should i do?

SBI Credit Card — Harrasment despite of payment

Dear Forum,

This is a complaint against SBI credit Card division. I was holding a SBI card in the year[protected]. due to some personal reasons i decided to close the card in year 2007 and requested SBI to provide a settlement letter.

They offered me a settlement in the month of Sept 07, which were acknowledged and payed off by April 08. I was confirmed over the phone that all the dues have been setteled and there is no dues against my name or credit card account. Also that the NOC letter will follow in the next 6 - 8 weeks.

However, last week i got a call for SBI that there is a outstanding of approx 90K against my credit card. i explained that that it was setteled and i have made all the payments. they disagreed and since then have been harrasing me any my family by making threatning calls and using abusive language.

Other details can be provided if required.

I request an resolution of the issue from the forum.
