[Resolved]  Tata Indicom Broadband — Poor service tata broadband connection

Sir i am using tata indicom broadband connection past 5 month my login id [protected]@vsnl. Net
Past 45 days i am facing lot of problem in my broadband connection connection lost for 2 to 3 days continuesly. Even i recieved 26 days of downtime credit for my connection lost from tata broadband connection. And i paid the advance amount for 5 month. Still i am facing the same problem after meeting to the head mr sarvanna & area manager mr. Sarat in chetpet office.

Please suggest me what i have to do for this problem to be rectify even because of this connection lost i loss my many bussiness proposals income.

1 hour or 2 hour is sence but 2 days & 3 days connection lost is totally nonsense. Please help me.

I am Raghu from Hyderabad, I am USING TATA wiMAX WIRELESS BROAD BAND(USER ID :FRENDZ.[protected]@VSNL.NET) disgusted with tata indicom broad band its the one of the worst service i had never seen before. For the last 5 months i am using tata broad band with 1mbps speed but i worked only for 20 days remaining days they suckked me like any thing. They taken post dated checks with me for 6 months, value is around 16000 rupees and they r playing me like any thing.Instead making n number of calls to customer care they not even respond properly.they know only one thing "Sorry Sir".

This tata service is non sense. I request to all o[censored] pls dont opt for tata service.

Tata Indicom Broadband — No responce for very poor connectivity

I have a TATA Indicom Broadband connection. The connectivity is extremely bad. I raised a ticket for the same (Tichet ID: 9858248). I was told that the SLA was 24 hrs but I did not receive any phone call/email in responce to my complain, even after much longer time. On further complaints, the TATA customer care staff says that neither they nor their supervisor has an access to mail or phone so that they can make any reply. The supervisor says thet he would look into the matter, still no action has been taken so far.

Kindly help me out with the same.

It is indeed a HOPELESS service. Every time the call center person will route your call to some department and they will make you do the same set of steps of manually assigning a new IP and changing back to the default IP. They are least bothered about any kind of customer satisfaction. My advice please DO NOT go in for this connection

I had taken the connection with this offer and got the printer in exactly 1 month. The customer service is poor and many people doesnt know how to resolve problems. Please dont call their number - its total waste of time.

TATA Indicom Broadband — Documents are not returned

I applied for Tata Indicom broadband connection and submitted all the required documents and 500Rs deposit more than 1 month ago. Now the agent is saying that the location is not feasable adn after lot of arguments he gave my money back, but he is not giving the documents back. I want to get the documnets back as it can be very easily misused. To everyone who wish to go for Tata Indicom services my advice is to opt for some other service provider as Tata Indicom's service is worst.

Tata Indicom Broadband — Downtime, Incompetent Customer Care

I have reached the limits of frustration with Tata Indicom Broadband and the service they provide.

1. When the server is down, customer care will tell you that the issue will be addressed within 6 hours. When 10 hours later the server is still down, customer care will tell you that they have informed the technical department and they are working on it. When you remind them that they said that the issue would be addressed within 6 hours, their response is that the issue has been addresses and the complaint has been passed on to the their technical department. They then tell you that they said that the issue would be addressed and they didn't say the issue would be resolved within 6 hours. When you ask them when it will be resolved, they will not give you a straight answer, all they will say is that they have informed the concerned department.

2. The server normally goes down on a friday and then you have no connectivity till Monday or Tuesday.

3. When the account is getting renewed, at exactly 12 midnight, you get logged off. When you call Customer Care, they tell you it will take at least half an hour because the renewal pack is in the queue. When I tell them that it was renewed several days ago, they say that whenever the account gets renewed this happens. So every 3 months, this drama ensues.

4. Customer Care is pathetic. They just keep reading from scripts that they have and today when I called to check about some settings on my laptop that had come back from repairs, the CC executive VInay apologised for the server being down. I told him it was not down, because I was working on something from my other laptop and it was working fine. He then insisted saying 'from my side, I can see your local server is down'. I really lost my cool. The lies and deceit is never-ending. Why do we allow a service provider who resorts to such underhand means of providing service? Totally disgusting.

I am very very disappointed and extremely frustrated.

Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — Poor connection

I got the tata indicom broadband connection 4 months ago. And then, while giving the connection to me, these people promised very good service and broadband connection and hence made us pay in advance for the 4 months.
Till this date, this connection is a pain in life. 6 out of 7 days a week, the connection is down, and if it works at all (which is a rare case), the speed is so slow that you would rather not browse.
To make the matters worse, I have not only spent on the connection, I have spent loads of money calling these people for assitance, which of course has never been of any help!

Kingly advice me on what to do :(
Totally agree with the person who had such horrible experience with Tata indicom. My experience in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, is as bad.

1. Over 90% of the time I don't get internet service. Technical support is totally inadequate, nobody
has a clue why the server is down. Nothing gets done in spite of several phone calls. They don't
keep the equipment in working order, and wait till customers like us call and complain that there
is no internet. This is totally unacceptable.

2. Customer care (the 1-800 number) too has inordinate wait time, and just hangs up on me
saying "call later". This is unacceptable. Even now, the internet service has been down
for more than 4 days. Nothing is being done. I have been calling everyday, when I finally get
through to a customer service "executive" all I get is some platitudes. They also tell me that
i will receive credit for all the days when I had no service, but this is a lie --- see point 5 below.

3. In spite of escalating to Nodal officer for Tamilnadu region (several times), there has been no
response. This is ridiculous. What has Tata come to? I plan to publicize my frustrations all over
various internet fora, and warn the public not to sign up for Tata indicom.

4. Towards the end of March 09, I signed up for Tata's broadband DSL internet service, and paid in full
for 4 months. More than Rs 5500. I was explicitly told by the salesperson (DineshBabu, Coimbatore)
that there would be no charges. Still I was sent pro-rated charges for march, and additional extra
charges on each subsequent bill.

5. Finally, in spite of being told by customer service that I would receive credit for all the days when I had no service
this has NOT happened. Just to quote one instance, I had no service from April 6 till 23rd. But, lo and behold, the
April bill shows no refund. In addition to providing lousy service, Tata have also taken to outright lying. I am stunned at Tata's audacity. This is causing irreparable harm to their valuable brand name.

I plan to register complaints with consumer protection groups, write letters to the editor in all major newspapers,
and also widely publicize on the internet.

The last two years onwards I using your broadband connection, but I am not satisfy because your Ernakulam office Manager and staff not taken any step of cutting of net.They have not attent the phone call also. No reply from them The last three months onwards I have not get the net. I complient the customer care service at Hydrabad more than thousand time. Yet now I have not get the net. Your technician Mr. Unni Krishnan and Sambath very badly treated to me in their job. So I requesting you to Sir kindly make necessary step for these fellows and urgently made urrangement to get the net connection properly.I think you will do the best as early as possible and sent reply through phone.

We are a legal NGO operating out of Bangalore
We have had exactly the same problem and were not able to browse for nearly 25 days after installation.
Our connection was installed on the 15th of April and until the 8th of May we were virtually unable to use the service. We also made repeated complaints to their customer service including a written request to them to provide a full refund. The problem was with their antenna. After many severe threats they came and replaced the antenna with a new one on the 8th of May and it is functioning now. However now they are refusing to start the connection from the 8th of May claiming that there was "usage" on every day!! Any usage during this period would only have been by their own employees who visited our premises and tinkered with the antennas! As a result it is barely one month since the connection has been working properly and they are already requiring us to pay the next bill!
What complete frauds!
We are definitely going to the consumer court with this and if anyone would like to join us please contact me. We will be using several of these anecdotes to support our case.

Tata Indicom Broadband — Not getting proper resolution

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have taken the WiMax broadband connection from tata indicom almost one month before. Everything was working fine but after few days it created problem when I was not able to connect to the internet. For that I called customer care twice and they were able to resolve the issue. As I was facing the same issue again and again so I asked their representative to forward my request to the concerned department and she assured me that she will do the same. But next day when I faced the same issue again, I called the customer care but they were not able to resolve it. So she filed a complaint and gave me the complaint no. But it did not get resolved. So I called next day and she told me that it is under progress. But in the evening when I called again, to my surprise she said that the problem has been resolved and it has been closed. Even she said that I have received a confirmation call from their side. while neither the problem was resolved nor I got any call. Then she gave me a new complaint no.[protected] Then after two days they sent a representative to my premises and make it working temporarily means I have to make some arrangements for using the internet. Even I wrote their Nodal officer and almost two weeks after I got a reply from their side their side that I need to purchase a static IP. While nothing was mentioned at the time of connection installation.

I am feeling completely cheated.

TATA broand band — worst ever experience.Dont take TATA...

i have taken a new tata broad band connection last month and suddenly they have disconnected my connection saying that it has exceeded the credit limit in 20 days. i have made a complaint that wi-fi is not working and no body has turned up for 8 days that no body has turned up. i called up customerservice and they told me that they will send somebody. no body turned up for 2 days and then again i called they said u have to go and pay then only we will activate and after begging them they send someone and he collected money. they communicated to pay 1250/- and finally i was asked to pay 1800/- by the executive. i paid that and he told me that the connection will be activated in 3 hours but after 5 hours i call him he says he doesnot know. call up customer service again..they have taken me for a ride.

there is a guy in kandivali east Ashish who takes care of this TATA and his no is [protected]. please do not take TATA connections as the speed is pathetic and also their response..

I respect RATAN tata a lot.. i feel its a home brand.. but this kind of experiences and their attitude makes me think not to go for such a f...king brand!!!

Tata Indicom Broadband — Refund not credited

Because of my ignorance about this stuped company I have subscribed for TataIndicom BroadBand Connection(username:[protected]@vsnl.net) during last september. When I have requested for disconnection an amount of Rs 860was pending from thier side. From then onwards I have been contacting them for my refund, everytime they are responding with "Sorry for the inconvinience caused and will respond soon" like that and some time they will call and tell that amount has been processed but they never mentioned that when and where I will get that. I have complained more than 10 times regarding this and everytime Im getting the same response. When I visited their regional center I got the worst ever and very rude and careless response. Im unable to understand whom to contact for this about their rude behaviour.
