[Resolved] Tata Photon Whiz — Poor tata photon whiz speed | |
Hi, I am ashish gupta, i am using tata photon whiz since last 20 days in ramapuram chennai area. My photon whiz no is — [protected]. When i taken that conncetion, tata indicom executive was saying that Max. Speed of tata photon whiz is 153.6kbps. But i am getting only max. Speed 3 to 4 kbps. Regarding it i registered three complaints[protected],[protected],[protected] But issue not yet resolved. When i registered first complaint[protected], next day one technician mr. Kiran visit my home. But kiran was saying that 3 kbps is max. Speed of tata photon whiz in all over chennai. So kiran was not able to resolve that issue and without resolving that issue he left from my home. Again i registered two more complaints[protected],[protected] regarding same issue. Once again mr. Kiran visit my home but he was saying same wording that 3 kbps is max. Speed of Tata photon whiz in all over chennai and within 1 min without saying anything he left. I am calling daily customer care 2-3 times regarding same issue. But issue not yet resolved. On 12-sep-2009 i talked to customer care head mr. Nitin, he was saying that another technician Will visit on 14-sep-2009 till 9:00 pm and issue will resolved 100%. But nobody visit. I am totally fedup with tata photon whiz. Exactly...i agree with these complaints...I really feel to kick-off that manufacturer. every time those bloddy tata's cheat customers giving fake promises. Send such engineers who dont even know what's the use of taskmanager or say ctrl+alt+delete.

Tata Photon Plus Internet Modem — Complaint regarding TATA Photon Plus Internet Modem, A/C no - 978462174
Dear Sir / Madam,This is Akshay Chandankar TATA Photon Plus Internet Modem
consumer (Delno -[protected], A/C no[protected]. I purchased the modem on
12/10/2010 from Vriti Infocom Pvt. Ltd at Rs. 2400/- ( Rs. 950/- per month
plan 3.1 mbps speed). I purchased the modem after lot of enquiry from your
customer care, they people told me that I will get the 2.8 mbps downloading
speed, online movies without buffering in my area vikhroli, mumbai. Then I
booked my modem. Your person came to me for issuing the device. I am using
the connection in Vikhroli, Mumbai.
I am getting very less downloading speed i.e 10 kbps from the
date of purchase. I repeatedly complaining your custumer care but I am
getting no results, your engineer also visit my place but he could not
solved my problem. I will not pay the bill of this month. If you could solve
the problem within 2 days I will pay the bill from the date of problem
solving. If you couldn't please collect your modem from my address & refund
my money Rs. 2400/-

It was VERY slow when I first used it... but then I discovered that my Automatic Updates were causing a huge decrease in my downloads.
I believe automatic Antivirus updates are also causing this (this applies to people have installed Norton/McAfee). I noticed this, and then uninstalled it from my computer after which I installed another free Anti-virus. I am getting the required download speed now. Just give it a shot...

If you have your Automatic Updates set to "Automatically download and install updates", then change it to "Ask me before downloading and installing". The speed drops seem to be caused by Automatic Updates and automatic Antivirus updates. Set them all to Ask me everytime, or something similar to that.
If you have Norton/McAfee installed, uninstall it and install another free Antivirus software such as Avira/NOD32 free version. Norton/McAfee generally consume a LOT of bandwidth.
I uninstalled McAfee and got an almost 60% speed boost, both in operating speed, as well as in Internet speed.

Last month, on 28/10/2010 I had booked a cylinder with M/S Sunam Gas, Sunam, Distt: Sangrur, Punjab. My consumer number is 4051. Till date, the same is not delivered to me. When I went to the agency to enquire about it, the staff had used filthy language against me and said me "do what you can they will not deliver the cylinder before next 5 days". sir please look as it is already 46 days gone from last cylinder delivered to my home.
I request you to please look into the Matter and train your agency people how to talk with a customer.
