I would like to draw your attention regarding cheating of customer by the company. I have taken a laptop of Toshiba Company and your company "Tata Photon" has tie up with Toshiba.
Since last 5 days, I am regularly visit your outlet and your representative replied "Sir, I am able to give you “Tata Photon connection” right now because company has not given order to distribute to Toshiba customer”
Please solve this issue immediately because lot of customer is suffering from company's behavior.

    i am not at all satisfied with the tata indicom photon plus device which i bought 2 weeks before .
    i raised a complaint saying i am getting less speed 5 kbps to 50 kbps . it is so stupid speed , i have never seen in any other network and they claim that upto 3.1 mbps , provide atleast 1mbps to the coustmer that is more than enough . stick to the promise u made .

    I raised a complaint but the person came and said signal is poor and went without solving ,

    I stay in bangalore nad they say that the signal is poor , then where should i go , do i need to climb the tower and use this stupid device .
    By the end of this month i will get the bill , i decided not to pay this time , i could not even open google with this device , why should i pay .. i need explanation for this

    Ya man! irritating... got it for an important purpose... but this one just pulled my life...
    I wonder how come they boast to give 3.1Mbps... Sometimes it never reaches 30 kbps...
    Yeah, I am also experiencing similar experience ... I guess this problem could be area specific ... whatever ...I dont think they deserve the publish those shameless AD about speed
    Definitly. its use to be well decent around 50kb/s, now its cries for even 5kb/s.

    Tata Photon Plus — low speed and worst customer service

    I bought tata photon plus for Rs. 2300 on 10/09/2010 and subscribed for postpaid unlimited internet access plan at Rs 950 per month. The salesman "RAHUL" and "ANAND" from VRITI INFOCOM PVT. LTD. Noida used to call me numerous timeseveryday with mouthwatering schemes "like speed of 3.1 mbps on unlimited download", "money back if not satisfied" etc etc. But once i purchased the device and found the speed to be as low as 0.1 kBps and average 15 kBps , i tried to reach them but they didn't attened my calls or even replied to my emails.

    Following so i registed compliants twice at tata customer care but even they also haven't replied to my complaints.

    I feel TATA is too busy selling these devices by making fool of innocent customers. Tata photon serices are too worse and salesmen are like jackals.

    I advice not to get lured by these photon offers and go for some other service provider. Tata is not the same brand as it used to be. They are just running after money & more money.

    Beware of the calls from VRITI INFOCOM PVT LTD.

    Tata Photon + — Worst Speed & Service

    Buying TATA Photon + is sheer wastage of Money . Downloading speed in day time is many time 30 KBPS . As per Tata photon advertisement the downloading speed is upto 3.1 MBPS When contacted customer care for the same they keep there fingure on word "" upto 3.1 mbps" .However they don’t hesitate to say "sorry " on any complaint . I think there sorry is complete meaning less.
    also they can write the mail that your issue is resolved irrespective of fact that your problem is not solved or your query is not answered properly
    My Feedbacks
    1) Worst Performance
    2) Worst customer care
    3) Don’t have any automated option with which you can judge the speed
    I sincerely advise others don’t buy Tata photon
    even if any one give you free device then also don’t subscribe.
    I am sincerely not expecting such quality service from Tata Group
    I totally agree. I also took connection 1 month back and have been facing the issue of low speed.
    I using the connection on Kundalahalli area of Bangalore and the speed is somewhere between 60 KBPS-400 KBPS.

    In Adds they market 3.1 MBPS Marketing executive will say 400 KBPS avg and technician will say only 200 KBPS Aug speed.

    This is the worst service i have ever seen.

    I feel so cheated by a company like TATA.

    This is with respect to your earlier mail ( Tata Indicoms) & my reply on the same on 10th Dec-10. You have asked me to provide the details of my Account No., Contact details, but till date nothing has heard from your side.

    Of course I am aware that your reply is always in form of copy paste nature.
    Even now I have seen that I you people are so accustomed with this sort of complaints that, You are only changing the name of Person in while making the reply for his complaints.

    Tata Photon Plus — Worst Speed and Service

    Hi,

    I purchased the Tata Photon+ device on 22nd Sept 2010 with plan Unlimited [protected]@950 with "3.1 Mbps" speed. I got the max 1.5mbps speed for 1st 10-12 days only. After that, still yet i didn't get speed more than 200-300 kbps.
    I was called to customer care at that time & they told me that, have some server issues in pune and our technical people will resolve the issue by 15Nov. After 15th Nov i was called back, again they told me that will take much more time to resolve & will surely resolved by 30th Nov.
    I was totally frustrate, Again i called back & got same reply, they promised me without fail will resolve by 15 Dec. But still not yet resolved it.

    I will never make a mistake of buying Tata Photon Plus.... :-(

    I am Rebajit Sarma of Dibrugarh, Assam . I have a Tata Photon + connection with Account Number[protected] having unlimited downloading facilities. I pay the monthly bills at due time. But now a days it becomes tedious for me to use this internet facility because it is more worst to use now then GPRS facility.So i request you to do some thing towards improvement of the worst service of Tata Photon +

    i am not able to get speed more than 0.01mbps downspeeeed

    when i was tried to contact customer care, no use with them

    Tata Photon Plus — speed too slow

    i was using ta ta photon plus for last 4 month i am pointed about the services its to bad too slow ,
    i want to disconnect my connection if my was not been solved soon , ta ta photo engineer did nothing i made the complaint but without my problem been solved they email me and said Ur has been solved ..what the hell this happening yr its too much now .

    same problem i too facing here.Its terribly slow, its eating all my times.And a bad customer care support. they are not giving the solution over this.

      Dont buy tata photon whiz, at the time of selling they will show brochure o[censored]nlimited Plan and when you purchase then they will change it to 15GB Limited. Also they charge 1700 (100 for activation) but this is available for Rs. 1600 and they have to activate this immediately. This is frivilous and misleading company. Specially dont buy from Banjara Hills outlet and they mislead people.

      To complain this, when dialled [protected] nobody responded and it kept on hold for 15 minutes saying recorded that customer care executive will respond but no use. It also charged me a lot on my mobile.
      Better go for Idea with much better 328MB speed than this whiz having 153MB speed.
      not agree with this plan
      i bought a tata photon whiz and my plan is 799 unlimited.but whe i got my bill i found it tht it is not unlimited but 15 GB is the limitation. my billing amount was 1429/-.this company is truely a mother [censored]er company.the all customer care executives are nothing but .they can do one thing--just can impose a huge billing amount to the customer...[censored].

        Tata Photon Plus has the worst network speed. I don't even get 100 kbs speed. They will change the Billing Plan as they what automatically. Don't call there Customer Care number.. it is even worst. Too many stupid people are there.

        Tata Photon Plus — poor network speed

        I have recently moved to India and buy this product on 5th Sept 2010. I am regretting to buy this product. they claimed to offer up-to 3 Mbps of speed, but i couldnot touch 300 kbps even.
        Fokings these tata indicom people and their customer service.

        PLZ DONOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!

        THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO MAKE FOOL O[censored]S BY FALSE CLAIMINGS!!

          hi...i have been using tata photon whiz ([protected])for the past 3 weeks and have made 2 complaints alresdy. the complaint no is[protected],[protected]. The problem is that i'm not able to connect to net. The problem was rectified and closed but it repeats every week. These people don't even offer proper customer care services. I call on to 121 using my dads tata mobile....no person attends the complaint ...if he attends by pure luck ...the line gets disconnected as soon as possible....u repeat the process think that some network problem....but all the effort are in vain and finally u give up. Next day u may have some connectivity customer care calls u (if by chance u r sucessful at registering ur complaint) and asks if the net is working right now....u say YES the complaint closes and thats it.......Seriously I am fed up....today i have been trying my best to use net for the past 3 hrs but in vain....the net is connected but there is no data transfer.....link speed of 2Kbps....its ridiculous....i thought TATA is the only ethical company...but now i understand it's only the brand image the had developed duriong the last 5 decades....but not able to match it up.....

          Tata Docomo — hopeless service

          AT TIME OF TAKING SIM I SUBMITTED ALL DOCUMENTS BUT YET THEY AGAIN DEMANDED FOR THE SAME AND I ASKED THEM HOW COME THEY ACTIVATED MY SERVICE WITHOUT MY DOCUMENTS. AFTER THAT THEY ITS OK BUT 15 TO 16 DAYS DISCONNECTED MY OUTGOINGS AND THEN I HAD TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS. I COMPLAINED BUT I THINK THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT CONSUMER PROBLEM.
          in the morning I received an sms on my docomo that we can recharge docomo online
          without any extra fees or payment gateway. yaa its true www.babuchak.com is
          marvellous. It also provides daily prizes to be won worth Rs.30, 000 daily just
          to recharge our mobiles.

          we want such sites like www.babuchak.com

          & it also has a very good scheme to win mobile phones at rs.10 only.

          Now in the market there are 2 players to recharge tata-docomo online

          1. www.babuchak.com (Free of cost)

          2. www.ezrecharge.in (takes Rs.6 for recharging Rs.100 & takes Rs.18 extra if you recharge your cell in night)

          I think www.babuchak.com is the right choice without any extra fees & it also has a 24hrs call-center

          Tata Docomo — HOPELESS SERVICES IN CHHATTISGARH

          ITS STRANGE COMPANY LIKE TATA S STILL WORKING IN DISORGANIZED WAY. I APPLIED FOR MY POST PAID CONNECTION ([protected]) ON AUGUST 2009.
          THEY TOOK 60 DAYS FOR VERIFY MY ADDRESS. (THATS BREAK ALL RECORDS SET MY OUR VERY OWN BSNL )

          USELESS PHOTON CUSTOMER CARE
          on 06072010 i have taken mdn ;[protected] but it is not working i complained to dealear but he is not respondig it is very much shockig towards customer services
          I had gone for tata photon at Naultha (Panipat, Haryana). It was III week of April, 2010. The message was that in the first month it is unlimited. i had paid rs 1600 or so. I had opted for the scheme of Rs 325 pm.

          In May, 2010, i shifted to Kala Amb, HP 173030. I was advised not to bother for change of state because there is no roaming. My son paid for around Rs 375 or so in MUMBAI. This confirms that i had the scheme of rs 325 pm.

          in the last week of June, 2010, i paid rs 500 with a feeling that it is more than required and an advance of rs 100 or so will remain in my account. a message has now been sent to me that i am to pay rs 271 mote becausev i am using tata photon unlimited. this is wrong. i never opted for unlimited.

          u pl set everything in order otherwise i shall settle your account only once and then I SHALL OPT OUT.

          THE DECISION HAS TO BE TAKEN BY U. I am told that i had opted for unlimited in the very beginning and THIS IS WRONG. HOW IS THEN THE PAYMENT OF RS 375 JUSTIFIED ?

          The Internet Connectivity on Tata Photon Whiz is extremely poor. I have made complaints to the Customer Care but no remedial action in regard to redressal of my grievance has been made so far. I am fade up for using this hopeless equipments for Internet use. It takes very much time to get opening of site as the speed of Internet is very much poor. Tata is a Internal Brand of Trust of faith but in the market of Telecommunication it has lost if's trust in the market for not listening of complaints of customers. I hope that the Higher Authority will take suomoto cognisance on my this Comment and redressed soon my grievance at the earliest time.

          I purchased tata photon whiz nearly a year back at a price of rupees 1000/- unlimited usage for three months. When I went to get it recharged for third time I was told to pay rupees 1500/- . Recently got recharged on 4.4.2013. To my utter shock connection was snapped some twelve days ago. I went to inquire about it at least thrice at outlet of tata docomo but the problem persisted, clicked on customer care and complaint on line. Contacted cutomer care on phone on toll free number. The response is very very poor. I feel cheated and harassed. My humble submission to Tata Docomo people dealing with this is to immediately solve the problem and extend the connection free of charge for the no. of days I am denied its usage to restore faith in tata docomo whiz services.             I had installed Photon + with the cost of Rs 3500 two month back. With in one week they were telephoned , your bill cost is Rs 5300 and you have to pay the amount .( I am not downloading files and I may used max of 6 Hrs )and the connection got cut.Huge hidden charges and wrong booking carried out.
            I was took Photon plus broad band connection on 22.09.2009. from Sri Balaji communications. Iam not getting my monthly bills, due to this reason my broad band connectiuon is disconnected twice, I feel very inconvinient in this regard also the e-mails sending from our end is also having problem, I request concerned to take care of my complaint. Thanking you.

              I have mailed the details of the problem, however, it was of no use and my problem seems to be unresolved. Following is the e-mail which I sent and the response that I received:
              Email-
              Dear Sir/Madam,

              I am a Tata Photon+ ([protected]) customer since 10th November 2009. However since yesternight i.e. 29th Nov 2009 my connection has been suspended due to non payment of other linked account. I will explain the scenario which is as follows.
              I am staying as a PG at Mr. Arvind Naik's appartment in Nagpur and since I do not have any local address proof, I had to subscribe to this connection with his ID and address proof. Now, a few days ago I received a call saying that there is some pending payment with Tata Indicom number which was under the name of Mr Arvind Naik. Due to the same reason, my connection has been suspended. I called up the technical support (complaint number[protected] and spoke to 3 of your representatives about this problem. They directed me to the Tata Indicom Gallery which unfortunately was of no use! Further I am providing a few more details:
              Mr Arvind Naik has to make a payment of Rs.7000 for his previous account which I was completely unaware about while buying Tata Photon+ connection. Now there is no way I am going to pay that amount which I have never used atall. There are two ways as I see-
              1] This connection could be transferred to my name or
              2] The two accounts should not be LINKED.
              Hence my kind and heartiest request to you would be to look into this matter and help me find a way out of this problem. Waiting for a quick response.

                I AM DEBOO USING PHOTON+ SERVICE, MY A/C No.[protected].
                I GENERALLY GET A SPEED OF 20kbps SPEED WHILE USE, WHICH SUPPOSED TO BE 1000 TO 3100kbps AND FEELS LIKE . WHEN I LOG OUT FROM ANY SITE ,SOMETIMES IT TAKES 6 MINUTES DO THAT OPERATION.
                CUSTOMER CARE OF PHOTON IS THE WORST DEPARTMENT IN THIS WORLD.THEY ARE SO AND SHAMELESS,DESPITE OF SENDING HUNDREDS OF MAIL & COMPLAINTS , THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING AND SAY THE TRAFFIC IS CONGESTED AND THE PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED WITHIN THREE MONTHS.
                SOMEONE HAS TO KICK THIS PEOPLE ON THEIR BACK.

                Dear Sir, I have been having constant problem with Photon+ and there has been `NO Response virtually to my mails, Calling them from my Mobile on[protected]. The `write to us is bogus', since it never transmits the complaint. The nodal officer manages to send Mails Failure after 24 hours, caller from Chandigarh is rude and non-responsive. It is ironically true that TATA's seems to behave like a `casual Govt. Dept.
                A senior citizen do not know- `what to do' in Mera Bharat Mahan', i.e. if i surrender the cost of device at 2600/INR goes waste-DoT is also helpless-Wasting time, since you r unable to send them mail directly, despite numerous efforts, on their pattern of Tata's `write to us' as stated above-Forums also r toothless, because of `clutch' applied by these people;

                Nevertheless the mails (Unreplied by them), are as under:

                I am forwarding the complaint dated 08th Aug 2010 vide which I had been in distress in using TATA Photon+ as follows:
                1. I had asked for the upgradation of my plan to 10GB before the last billing cycle with a purpose o[censored]sing that my benifit, but vide various calls made by me over the last more than a month that I have been having too slow speed on the subject connection quite off-and-on which is verifiable from your records & is well known to you; There has had been virtually `NO USE' of giving your various request/complaint numbers, the last being[protected] on 18th Aug:

                2. Due to low speed or non connectivity from the middle of July 2010 to 11th Aug 2010 I have not been able to consume even half of the GB allotted; Therefore I had put in a genuine request of `waiving off (Only) a few charges but it seems that You have been enjoying the distress calls from the customers as neither the problem of slow speed nor the waiving of excess charges nor the reversal of plan to 2GB (Vide my mail dated 08th Aug 2010), has been attended to, so far;

                3. I do wish to call upon you to act fast on the above, failing which I shall be constrained to take up the matter to an appropriate forum at your cost and consequences;

                This is too agonising on the irratic behave/ service of the subject connection as follows:

                1. As is well known to you from your records, vide various calls made by me over the last more than a month that I have been having too slow speed on the subject connection;
                2. Even your executive too attended to that at my address in early July. Within 02 days of that visit I had started having the same problem but `No-one came to set that right, despite my wait for him (Mr. Manoj has had visited ONCE only);
                3. I wonder if that has any connection with my request for changing my plan to 10 GB, since the trouble started-soon after that, i.e. even before this plan introduced;
                4. There has had been virtually `NO USE' of giving your various request/complaintnumbers:
                No.[protected]On 10.07, 12-07),[protected]On 12.07, 21.07),[protected]On 25.07 & 02-08),[protected]On 03-08);
                5. Thet net has had been down (Completely) for 05 days and had been sluggish for more than a month that I have not been able to work/ operate with my Corporate OFFICE-BSI);
                6. Though for the last 02-03 days I have been working on net with P+, but looking at the past experience, I have grown pessimistic;
                Nevertheless since I went for Photon + on my own (My Office has all the cards from Reliance), I wonder as to how long I have to listen to my Superiors.

                Therefore I call upon you to compensate me and revert back to my original-2 GB plan immediately and avoid sending me bill for the 10 GB plan;

                PS: A genleman Mr. Keshav called on me on 20th Evening and left my Complaint No.[protected] un-resolved-The speed test gave a Max speed of 0.41Mb as againsi expected of more than 2.0Mbps, besides the complaint on charges for not -in use-Photon services (Due to v.low speed or non-connectivity, too is un-resolved-Regards-DEWAN
                Yes bro these companies manager should do anything for clean these irregularities towards customer complaints. I am also suffering from the very slow speed of tata photon+ broadband. If things going like this only then the company has to pay heavy loss of customers.

                  Dear Tata Indicom BB customer complaint manager,

                  I am a retired Tata senior executive with 37 years in the group. On relocation to Jaipur, I was recommended the "photon" by a local Tata company IT expert, and the gadget was 'sold' by an agent and installation was done promptly by Jagdish ( who left the job soon after). I opted for the 750/ 2 GB free plan.This was changed after speaking to your Raja Park Panchvati circle manager Vikas to the 500/ 1 GB plan. Initially the billing was in the range of Rs 750-850/- pm from aug/mid oct. Towards end of oct'09, my internet was disconnected abruptly ( the new manager Ms Richa was helpful ) as there was an unpaid bill of Rs 1734/-. Reconnection took some follow up....and I had no option but to pay this and till date have not received any invoice for this, tho' the amount paid is acknowledged. After this I left Jaipur from 18th/27th nov. On 5th dec after using the internet in the morning for an hour, i was again surprised to find a disconnection....Richa said there was a Rs 3700/- outstanding...the invoice said last date of payment was 12th dec 09. On my special request to Richa on the 28th nov, I received the details date wise utilisation bill after 8 days... it made little sense to me after many discussions that the plan suggested to me was not at all viable, and no economical deal proposal was forth coming.

                  In short I have paid over Rs 3000/- in 3 months and have received another bill for Rs 3700/ approx.... which is high billing by any standard.

                  I have there fore decided to do away with this gadget costing Rs 3600/- and discontinue any further use of this product. Sadly, as an ex Tata employee, I feel sad that there seems to be a lack of knowledge on the best deals of the photon.. or a covert attempt to gyp the customer with excessively high billing. There also appears to be no "buy back" scheme known to customer care or the local staff. I have not paid the last invoice amount and am most reluctant to do so... Please treat this complaint as notice from a very harassed and disconted customer.

                    I had purchased Tata Photon+ prepaid data card from Vriti Infocom Pvt.Ltd., B-75, Sector-63, Noida vide their Rect.no.163 dt.[protected].

                    Regret to inform you that till date the data card has not been activated by the Vriti technical. The support persons tried several times to get configured through telephonic talk but was unable to do that. I requested them to send their experts & solve the problem asap but no one took initiative.
                    I have some urgent assignment on Internet but due to non co-operation of the Vriti Infocom Executives I got harassed.

                    I continuously trying their numbers but no one is responding.

                    Hope you will consider the above matter as a serious matter & help to solve my problems.

                      I have purchase Tata Photon Plus one week back in 13200 - 1 year Plan of 10GB. there claim speed to be as 3.1 MBPS. BUt I am getting a speed of 10-110 KBPS odd. When I use at my residence its even worse. The speed never cross 50 KBPS. I ahve been cheated and struck in 1 year plan. Please can anybody can guide me..

                      Uttam, these guys at tata photon plus are duping clients by informing the lighting speed internet etc. but when you use it, this is worse than MNTL too.
                      I guess you should put your complain in consumer court and they should refund your money.

                        i got the tata photon plus connection at 20/11/2009. But now it is not working.
                        TATA Photon plus is new device to lure the innocent peoples- there is no way to calculate the real download-upload and checking the account balance. I have lost more than 3k in just 1.5 months.
                        For wise men - don't try the photon plus. The dsl landlines with unlimited pack is good.
                        Subhash, i mysel[censored]se the product nd its the best wireless broadband device i have ever came across.
                        I run youtube videos without a buffer & get pleasure of live cricket matches even when i am not at home, through the photon tv application.

                        Upload & down load limits pop up in a window every half an hour ! so there is no point of me not knowing my usage( i shall suggest if you are confused with data based plans, switch to time based plans, at least you can very well track time)

                        Account balance can always be checked through call center, though i never felt calling because i knew my usage is under my GB limit (u dont need to take care of the gb's in the time based plans)

                        For all wise men " we have been using wireline broadband since ages ..& we very well know it!!
                        its always better to change with time & to try out something better because technology has evolved itself that way so take the advantage of it"

                        Is there any way to check my Internet usage (Photon plus) in accurate measurement?

                        In my account it is just updating after 48 hours and it is like unbelievable amount. I just chatted with my friend for 46 min in yahoo messenger (I know the time and no other downloads ) but it showing I used 100 MB for that day!!!

                        How can I believe this. No downloads, no software updates but still consumed 100 MB?????

                        I have bought the TATA PHOTON PLUS wireless Internet service provider from
                        Chroma Store at R CITY ,Ghatkopar (W) Application number 3150388. from
                        Shri Dhireesh Sales Executive -

                        Local Address proof.since then i have been following it up with Shri Dhiresh
                        and customer care every day (minimum 3 calls). Neither Dhiresh picks my call nor customer care solves my problem. Customer care exe provide me the complaint number and just bluff me by saying that it will be done within 24 hrs..i dnt knw when that 24 hrs will be over?...You proudly say that Photon has won the best service awards...beleive me that no where reflects .kindly in this present customer centric business environment you should focus on qualitative service .

                        kindly look into the matter and do the needfull..

                        We bought a equipment last week submitting all the docs in hand as required by them and was activated immediately and then it was deactivated saying documents incomplete. After a week over they are JUST PASSING THE DAYS AND NOT ACTIVATING IT. IT IS A BIG FRUAD. The manager Yogesh in bagnalore is trying to make other fool. The agent who supplied the equipment was MOBILEWERKS.

                          VERY TRUE THE SPEED IS PATHETIC, THEIR CALL CENTER PEOPLE ARE PATHETIC AND WHOLE SYSTEM IS PATHETIC.
                          MY SINCERE ADVISE TO EVERYONE IS NEVER BUY TATA PHOTON PLUS USB AND NEVER USE TATA BROADBAND.
                          TATA PHOTON even cheating on 950 plan..saying that U will get high speed i.e upto 3.1 mbp till first 5 GB and after that it will reduce to upto 156 kbs, but still in this they are cheating...TATA PHOTON giving high speed only first 3-4 GB and after that they reduce the speed upto 120 kbs and avg. speed is around 95 kbs...

                            I purchased Tata Photon + just three months back. Recently I connected it to another Laptop with Windows 7 Operating System. Photon + does not work on Windows 7. The response from TATA Indicom Customer care is pathetic. They suggested to downgrade the windows operating system instead o[censored]pgrading drivers for Photon +. The customer care people are asking to scrap the device and they do not have any solution. They will not provide any support after they have sold the product. The customer care attendents just divert the call from one extension to another.

                            first i install the devece driver from administrator login and its working but when i login from user it giving a error messge thai is device not connected or not ditected.

                            My photon model is huawei ec1261 & I am using Windows 7 64bit computer system. i faced same problem as above.. it's doesn't work in 64bit machines. :(
                            even I hv purchased photon+ ec1261 but it is not working with Win 7 64 bit, Tata customer serive EC1261 does not support win 7 64 bit
                            The Tata customer care is totally crap. The call center does not even know hat is a 64 bit OS. I have ec1261 and it will not work. However to my utter surprise the older model ec1260 works fine.
                            I'm using win 7 32 bit it works fine ...
                            hey it's working on window 7 but it's a way to install that software. the way is right click on the photon drive click open and select the program called Setup.exe then right click on setup.exe and click run as the administrator. wait for install the drivers for your photo whiz. it is working., njoyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

                              i had taken photon whiz on 11th october from nadiad issued under mine name....but the activation of photon has not yet being done till date...moreover they are not taking proper steps to clear mine problem..they are not completing the procedure though i have submitted mine documents and money for the product on time...i am told to go to other authorized service center at anand other city for mine problem but from there also i dnt got anything solutionmoreover the two months free trial for the photon which was offered at that time is now reduced to one month only...so please take proper steps against the nadiad co-operative branch of tata indicom....thanx..
                              my tata photon whiz EC121 is not working properly.I purchase it from tata mobile showroom.when they connect it to their computer it work properly but when i connect it to my computer a message is recieved thet is my device is not connected or unavailable.

                                  I bought tata photon whiz on 2nd september and i am using this device still now while i am buying in the showroom they told that it will give a speed of 153kbps and a download speed of 80-90kbps but i am getting only an download speed of 1-3kbps and while browsing it takes 5-6mins.to open up an single web page so i booked an complaint about 2 times and they sent me a team to my house and they checked and told that there is tower problem in my house then they told me to upgrade to tata photon plus and they told that it will give a speed upto 3.1mbps then i asked that "you told that there is a tower problem in my house and then how i will get a speed 3.1mbps" then they replied that it will give 200kbps then for what purpose i need to get that then i gone to surrender that photon whiz device but they told that there is no option of getting back of that device i was shocked because i bought that device for 2420rs. so i had no choice rather than booking a complaint my tata photon whiz no. is [protected] they cheated me

                                    Tata photon plus speed is incredibly slow. In the advertisement they claim the speed is upto 3.1 MBPS. But I could not even hit 128 kbps. I still feel like working with 28.8 kbps speed.

For the last two weeks, there is a decrease in the speed and after 9 to 10 clock at night this problem persists.                                     TATA Indicom — Very slow and third rated connection

                                    Hi all,

                                    This is to make you aware of the kind of product Tata Indicom Broadband connection (wired) is in Pune/maharastra. I have been using it for a couple of months now and right from the day one, I have observed very clearly that the surfing as well as the downloading speed are much more inferior as compared to what I used to get in Gujarat with the same ISP.

                                    Surfing often is a very frustrating experience with Tata indicom as the speed is wavering and inconsistent. Every other minute, the speed goes down and ’Page cannot be displayed’ error displays for even the most lightweight sites like Google. Later, by hitting the ’enter’ key couple of times or ’refresh’ icon, the site loads. This is an everyday issue and on notifying the engineers/ISP customer service center, they are either not able to understand the problem or do not want to admit that Tata, unlike in its other reliable products, has been a miserable failure in Tata Indicom product (especially tata indicom broadband).

                                    I am waiting for another ISP to have a feasibility in the area where I stay so that I take no time to get rid of these lousy guys.

                                    Below is the url that will display an image from www.speedtest.net when I tried to test my speed. It clearly shows that the speed I get is 0.09 Mb/s (Megabits/s) which is equal to 11.52 KiloBytes/s.

                                    Imagine I am using a 256 kbps connection (unlimited) and look at the miserable download speed.

                                    I am using your photon+ for last four months, for the last months , I am facing the network coverage problem. always ,when I connect the photon+, its speed comes out under 20kbps, and downloading speed is around 0-5 kbps. I have been lodge complaints so many times , and also talk with your nodal officers , team leader of internet department, but right now no solution at all. I have lodge my first complaint on 22/8/2009, my photon+ no. is [protected] and a/c no.[protected], resolve it in 2 or 3 days otherwise I will discontinue the servvices

                                    TATA Indicom - Photon+ — Worst Speed - is it really Broadband?

                                    I have subscribed to Tata Indicom's Broadband "Photon+" in exchange of their erstwhile CDMA 1x Data services. Last 3-4 weeks the speed has drastically gone down worse than CDMA 1x data card.

                                    it hovers around .2 to .5 Mbps and many time it stands to "Zero" which results in "Page not found Error". Even the fastest search engine - Google take minutes to open up & some time event does not open.

                                    Have raised SR with TATA Indicom customercare twice:
                                    1) on[protected]
                                    2) on[protected]

                                    Post first SR Tata Indicom's engineer visited & cleaned up Temp files, reloaded the drivers etc but problem remained the same, he also checked speed (http:speedtest.net) & confirmed for slow speed connection - tested signal strength which was good.

                                    So on my feedback I wrote problem not resolved & engineer promised it take with their Networking team. To my surprise no action was taken post that & SR was closed.

                                    Second SR was raised, it is still open - have received more than 5-6 calls on a single day[protected] just asking me if the problem was resolved without having worked on the problem??? Then came the promise next day to send engineer one more time on Saturday[protected], no one turned up.

                                    I called today[protected] to check on the update & was told that SInce engineer could not make it they thmeselves updated the SR to be resolved by[protected] without even informing me.

                                    The issue however is not at my device or laptop end, I checked with another user of Photon+ & he is also facing the similar issue. Tata Indicom has spent huge sums on Ads to sell it & were successful in selling in nos (it seems) because the when it was launched the speed was not a problem (my own experience) but now there is increased load on their network & hence not able to provide promised service.

                                    Since they are not able to provide the promised services for Broadband & still taking money from customers - it is an act of mistrust, cheating & breach of services contract.

                                    I am not very sure writing here would help me solve the issue - but for those who are reading this note, please beware & donot fall victim of false promises made by Tata Indicom.

                                    Yes. When I called the customer care they said you will get a minimum of 300kbps to a maximum of 3100kbps. However the average is 700 - 1300 kbps and never really 3100 not even 1800 which is the min req to qualify as broadband. But its good mobile device for working.
                                    On 1st January 2010 I have purchased a TATA Photon from Cuttack Tata Indicom HUB. The internet browsing is very slow and downloading also very slow. Besides that connection has failed within 20 to 30 minute. Then re-starting the PC and connect again...

                                    photon plus — Broadband or Wasteband

                                    I stay in Hiranandani Estate, Thane (W). I was influenced by the advertising of Tata Indicom Photon Plus and I purchased photon plus 10 GB, about 4- months back. For the last one month the speed was very slow. The download speed is 0.5 mbps and upload speed is 0.07 mbps. I complained vide docket no.[protected] dated 23-01-10,[protected] dated 27-01-10 &[protected] dated 29-01-10. The reason for the above three complaints was because the customer care gave false promises of sending their executive "within 24 hrs" but as usual they failed to even call back to me. After lot of follow up I got a call from Tata Indicom and they told that this is a network problem and due to server overloading they can not do anything. Further , they were not in a position to tell when this problem will be over. In their automated generated mail they have mentioned that if the customer is not satisfied they can call the nodal officer on[protected] but this number is never accessible.
                                    In the nut shell the Photon Plus is run by unprofessional group with a team of insensitive customer care. They are simply duping the customers promising a speed of 3.1 mbps. So please beware of them.

                                    Hi..I have taken a connection on the day o[censored]gadi. Their agent came and took money, but no receipt.Again no activation since last few days despite number of calls.Please help me on this.
                                    My Tata photon plus number [protected] and my plan is 750 per month, Tata photon plus speed is incredibly slow. In the advertisement they claim the speed is upto 3.1 MBPS. But I could not even hit 128 kbps. I still feel like working with 28.8 kbps speed. Once I am complaint the same to your care and that time most probably 10-15 days this connection is working good speed, but last four days this connection is running very very slow. In this connection please rectify the same for your good relationship to us. Thank you

                                    I have been complaining regarding slow internet connection.There is no response from the tata photon people.They have a horrible customer service.

                                    TaTa Photon Device — not got internet connectivity for more than 2 weeks

                                    I have taken Tata Photon device 2 weeks back and submitted all the documents as per the agents suggestion. Later on it got disconnected since they said document is not valid because rental aggrement is not in my name.
                                    Then I again submitted the bonafide letter for TCS(where I am working currently).
                                    The agent and the dealer said it will be activated within 24 hours. It has been more that 4 days and still it has not been activated.


                                    1)When I call Cuctomer Care they use to say" our details havent been updated in our database".
                                    2)when I call the agent (Name-Ashfaq) he said that he has already submitted the document to the dealer.
                                    3)I called dealer he said he has not got the document from the agent
                                    and wad not picking up the call.


                                    Everyone is playing ball game with the customer.
                                    I want to sue Tata Indicom ans the delaer for this.I have put hell lot of effort on this and didnt get any result.
                                    I need mymoney back and the fine amount either from Tata Indicom/dealer. If not done I will go to the consumer court.

                                    Tata photon+ is none other than a stupid useless device. It's combined with all stuffs. In their ad, they said download speed o[censored]p to 3.1 mbps but i never even got 100 Kbps. May be they made a mistake while printing in this device cover, which should be 3.1Kbps instead of 3.1 Mbps. My region has a good signal strength sometimes i got 100% signal but the speed never reach 100 Kbps.

                                    I have recently purchased the TATA Photon mobile broadband for internet purpose in my laptop , Its speed is faster than other but its speed is very slow
                                    damn bored with its turtle walk.My dream to download big big games and movies destroyed. I spent this much money to get speed and reliability.but this photon is just a fake.Never experience speed more than 80kps.i want at least 800kpps cuz tata given very costly plan and only very few hours are free in which i have to download everything but it took half an hour to download mozilla only . huh!! You people just broke my dream.First signal dont come on my area(grrrrr!!!) second when go to other place it show good signal but speed like turtle walk.u never can win doing like this. i dont know weather airtel has any device launchedor not.i'll bin this photon and will spend my valuable money on airtel device if it comes.Airtel is the king of all other services.

                                    I bought this Tata Photon plus after I was impressed by their ad on the TV. Initially I was planning to get a broadband but I thought this was a good alternative to broadband as I have to travel a lot. The speed is like dial-up. While selling the product they will contact us like anything. Here even toll free customer service no also wont work.

                                    The photon + internet services is going on worst track day by day. I took this connection for its speed but its not meeting the promises made. I have taken 10GB usage and I am paying for it without even using that limit. There is no analysis done from your end to see whether your customers are happy or no. Till date I have not received a single call from the customer care to find that about how the connectivity or speed. But to make a payment before the due date itself, the executive keeps making repeatative calls. If the payment is important then even providing the quality service should also be a prime concern for you. But there are no initiative is taken for that. I remember, when I was using plug and surf, the customer care executive used to call to find the problem, why the usage is low but for broadband no such initiatives..that really sad.

                                    That other day I logged onto e.bay.in what the held- it took 10 minutes and suddenly said there was an error!

                                    Modem connections are also not that good. They eventually stop working.

                                    I am from Chennai and using tata photon plus. For me also the internet speed is dead slow. I really hate this service.. It is exactly opposite to what they show in advertisements. I am residing at center of the city but still I cannot get even 200kbps speed. Sometimes it goes below 30 or 40kbps. I have complained many times. At that time only they fix the problem but two days later I face the same problem... Moreover the internet get disconnected very often.. It is not reliable... I request the tata photon team to take serious steps on this.. Or surely they will lose the market soon...

                                    Tata Photon Plus — Speed of internet is not as per promises made

                                    Tata Photon promised 2Mbps speed and it never delivered me more than 0.2 Mbps...and during lot of compliants they have fixs that work for 30 mins and after that speed again comes to 0.2mbps. Customer care did not care for my requests at all despite being unlimited plan holder payin 1000 per month.

                                    Yes tata photon+ sucks they are not meet the requirement i have 950 plan in this they claiming 3.1 mbps but i never get that speed sometimes even google take 2 minutes to open and when i call at customer care they say to resolve it next 24hours then why they charging me monthly bill if they can't give resolution to customer at same time & when executive come they claim that there speed is 300 kbps which is broadband max speed they say you get few times 3.1mbps speed which i never get. Then why they make such a plan i will move to some other broadband service.

                                    Anyone who wants to go for Tata photon plus or any other tata photon services do it i[censored] want a damn slow connection. Tata photon plus speed is a maximum of 10 KBPS.
                                    I have been paying Rs950+/ Month for this [censored]in ...even reliance 356 Kbps connection at Rs550/month gives u a minimum of 35 KBPS
                                    my case is totally different ! i had been told that photorn willl deliver speed up to 3.1 mbps but it's totally wrong i only get 89 b/s ! forget obout downloading even an song !

                                    Tata Photon Plus — Very less speed and Cheating me

                                    I am a TATA PHOTON PLUS consumer. I am getting very less speed and paying a lot of money for this worst connection. when I complained they have not solved my problem. I am paying 800 Rs per month. PHOTON PLUS people are cheating me. the speed i am getting is only 10 Kbps. pleople please dont purchase Photon+. you will loose your money. i have complained 7-8 times... wasted my time and money.
                                    I will suggest all my friend to go to any other network.

                                    TATA Photon is sucking...it is very slow and customer care people keep on telling that it will provide more speed and THEY NEVER PROVIDE VERY GOOD SERVICE ALSO... THEY KNOW TO CHARGE, BUT THEY DONT PROVIDE SERVICE. IT downloads at 13kbps to 18kbps per sec...
                                    VERY VERY BAD SERVICE ...THEY ALL ARE CHEATERS...THEY KNOW JUST TO SEND THE BILL, BUT NOT THE SERVICE.

                                    i bought a photon+ around 3months back... in the time of purchase they said the download speed of the device is 1.8 mbps. but i get only 50-40kbps. it is very worst and frustating...my tata no is([protected])

                                    Tata Photon Plus — Slow connection

                                    I use Photon plus using no.[protected]. I have used it in various places but the speed has been very bad. In my new place at times it reaches to 50kbps however mostly it remains less than 20 kbps.
                                    Earlier at other places it struggled to even reach 10 kbps.. Now thats not the speed one expects i[censored] claim it to be the fastest in India and claim a speed of 3.2 mbps..
                                    It is right time to file the case of cheating in consumer court ...Jago Grahak jago

                                      Hi everybody,
                                      I am logging my experience about a blundered internet connection service provider gives me which i feel from my four months experience.I am writing some of my experience.
                                      1.The avg speed is max 20 to 60 kbps even i am using HP pav4 1318tu.
                                      2.Customer care is giving very painful service,if you call them they may pick your phone after 20 to 35min or may disconnect your call .
                                      3.You never get any servise after 10 pm only interim machine will talk with you.
                                      4.You did not get any suggestion or billing updation on mobile or mail id.
                                      .

                                        TILL NOW I WAS FEELING THAT TATA PHOTON WHIZ IS REALLY AMAZING SO BY MY TATA INDICOM DEALER I BOUGHT AN TATA PHOTON WHIZ MODEM CONNECTION.. BUT AFTER USING IT I CAME TO KNOW THAT IT IS REALLY AMAZING AS WHEN I CONNECT IT SHOWS THAT IT IS RUNNING AT 153.6KBPS BUT AFTER 1-2 MINUTES IT SHOWS THAT IT IS RUNNING AT 0.00KBPS.I THINK YHAT IT IS A REALLY AMAZING SPEED. I THINK THAT I AM CHEATED BY YOUR WORST COMPANY. IF YOU HAVE MIND THAN PLEASE HELP ME TO KNOW HOW CAN I INCREASE THE SPEED OR YOU ALSO CAN INCREASE THE SPEED.PLEASE HELP ME SOON OR I WILL NOT USE ANY THING MADE BY YOUR COMPANY.                                         yes i agree with it really very poor speed
                                        after using tata photon whiz, i came to know that the modem is not at all delivering what the company has been claiming, how can a renaund company cheat like that . i was promised by the authorised dealer that i will get atleast 40 - 60 kbps download speed. But resulting a download speed of around 09 - 15 kbps. This is even worst than what i was getting through my mobile( nokia n 72) modem via reliance or vodafone.
                                        My location is just within the core signal strength area of TATA.

                                        I also use various download Managers & softwares to enhance the
                                        net speed.

                                        then what can be reason of that cheap quality speed.
