Dear sir,
i purchased a tata photon + from your Delhi dealer Vriti Infocom private lmt. on 17-April-10. The dealer told me that the photon would be activated by him with in 1 hour of the delivery and the installation would be done by the person sent by them. But that person named Sanjeev came and just collect the money and gave me the recipt and when i asked him to install the software he refused and said i am getting late and install the software when i sent u the message of activation. I still did not get that message and that person is also not picking up my phone.
Sir, it is my humble request to you to send a person who intall the photon in my laptop. i am in urgent need of net connectivity for my business purpose. My contact number is [protected]. Call me whenever you read this E.mail

Tata Photon + — NO ACTIVATION OF THE DEVICE

I have purchased tata photon+ on 14th of Aug 2010 at Rs 1,800. However, there was no activation of the device. I already registered my complaints to the tata customer care and dealer too. Still there is no positive reply. They are saying there is some problems with my address proofs. Though i have submitted my PAN CARD AND VOTER ID and college id. Still, they are not available with any positive reply. I am still waiting to get activate my connection.

    I have brought photon+ 5 months back and it hardly worked for two months and stopped to work. i regulary deposit rent every month around Rs 1000 to Rs 1200 but for no use. I went to tata indicom showroom so many times further I have complained so many times to customer care office but they kept me hanging for two months. I am in travel buessness and have much work on internet have suffered a huge loss due to this photon+ now i want to book a complaint against tata indicom regarding this photon

    Hi All,

    i have also faced the same problem, even right now putting the comments in block, facing a lot of network issue with this Tata Photons data card.

    its speed comes 1.2 Kbps to 50 Kbps and most of the time goes down to 0.0 Kbps..

    thanks god i am in IT and understand the things, othewise end user never try to listen it.

    Please Tata you have to think about speed issue, cost reduce is not a adavntage to sell this, after sale service is main thing...

    Hi I want to give very serious complaint against tata indicom photon + Services. i have taken photon connection broadband internet plan like 950 at 9th March 2010. and i have paid 2400 for Hardware Instrument.Now i have not use this plan even one month and they have send a bill to me. the last due date was 22 April 2010.Without giving any Notice They Disconneted My Broadband connection.When i talked in customer care support they said that we cant do anything about this.i have requested to them that please Take back your Hardware Instrument and refund my balance Amount for this instrument and close My connection. But They did not give any Valuable response about this.please help me Out .I am very very disappointment with Tata Photon + Broadband Services. Please please Help.I Suggest to Every User Dont take This Service

    I am a Srinagar based Journalist. I purchased a tata Indicom device (whiz) on September 29. It was delivered to me by one Simran, a Sikh youth from HaftChinar locality o[censored]ptown Srinagar. The device had no SIM. A few days later, some one called me and apologised for the defective device. I returned it and was given a Tata + . It was activated but shows 678error repeatedly. Nobody responds to my queries.

        pls note that I Bhavuk sahni R/O 1 -Ram Kishore Road civil Lines Delhi -54 has purchased a Tata Photon plus on 26 jan 2010 from Croma store in kamla nagar as I was told by the sales person that due to republic day it cannot be activated & gave me a cell no -[protected] of Mr. Surjit & on 28 jan 2010 after doing a follow up mr. Surjit sent sms to me at my cell that my photon plus no is [protected] & pass word is xxxxxxxxxxxx on 31 jan when I tried to install the software & punched the password it failed I informed Mr. surjit he said that again I have to go to croma store & once more I have to pay Rs.100 which I have paid on 26 jan 2010 then they will allocate one more number & password
        I dont understand once the no [protected] & pass word is xxxxxxxxxxx was allocated to me how it can be recycled & how time & again you can ask a customer to pay activation charges again & again this is absolutely wrong & malpractices by DSA as well as Croma Store which belongs to TATA also TATA Indicom has such cheap trade practices not only this when under forced circumstances again I paid Rs.100 at croma store kamla nagar no receipt of the money paid was issued though the harrasment was caused I was forced to pay Rs. 100 again & I was cheated at great Croma store at kamla nagar in connivance with TATA Indicom.

        Tata Photon Plus — Deficiency of Service

        Dear Sir/Madam

        I have purchased tata photon+ broadband with speed of 3.1 mbps about 2 months back. The details of purchase are:
        Photon Number: [protected]

        My purchase decision was made after reading the product advertising. After purchase I have found that the sold product has made false and misleading statements in the advertisment which includes words like 'upto 3.1 Mbps' 'superfast' , 'performance assured'.

        1. The product does not perform as specified. Average speed varies between 2kbps to 30 kbps only. The use of 'broadband' for such speed is unjustified.

        2. It charges money for services not provided
        3. No proper response from company except assurance that they will do something. They make false excuses including 'down time' , 'will solve the problem within 3/5 days, etc.
        hey man, is it the speed u get in torrent downloads coz even i get the same speed : max : 10kbps while downloading torrent files.
        They are shaping the traffic for torrent softwares. It is a common practise to put a cap on p2p softwares in the Western countries.But atleast they admit that they do it, but here in india, these guys clandestinely put a cap on unlimited plans.
        lets get together and kick their !
        trust me we will win!

          tata indicom - tata photon — balance deduction in prepaid internet connection

          i am using tata indicom's epivalley plug n surf. prepaid. i have activated rs 501 plan which give benefit of night unlimited downloading, so there should be no balance deduction in night for internet usage, but then too my balance got deducted by 50 rs. upon asking customer care, they are not providing any valid information or justification.
          so i am not satisfied with the service tata indicom is providing. they are not providing for my money i paid to them.

          tata photon plus prepaid — After sale Service

          I purchased a Tata photon plus prepaid on 7/4/10. I was told that the services will be asctivated within half an hour. it took me around more than 7 hrs and made me run to pillar to post (from one store to another) for activation. any how it was activated but the problem is that I am not able to recharge it online.or from any store. I was assured that by monday online activations will be resumed but still it is not working.
          I experienced the most worse service, most ill treating & mannerless team of tata indicom in Srinager.

          While I remained in Mumbai I had TATA Photon plus prepaid internet connection. Now I am posted in Assam. I paid recharged voucher and I got confirmation of payment through mobile. But while I try to connect I cannot get the connection and get the error message 691.

          There are 2 options to check the balance of your tata photon prepaid or postpaid devices.

          1. Open www.tataphoton.com and register as new user for My Account service. Once you get register, login and click on Internet USage Meter - Current. YOU will be able to see the balance.

          2. Call on Toll Free customer care number [protected] contact to customer care executive by pressing 9 and get registered for Free Unbilled SMS subscription service. Service get activated in 72 hrs. Postpaid customer will receive one SMS at 11AM everyday for usages informations and Prepaid Customer will get 3 SMS everyday at 11AM, 3PM and & 7PM.

          I am a tata photone plus customer . Earlier i was using post paid connection but due to bad services I switched to pre paid plans. Now again I am felling cheated. When I visited their shope they told me that If i will deposit Rs 255 than I will get 1 GB data for a month but it hardly worked for 20 days. Again when I am trying to know about my usgage they are not allowing me for that also. When i tried to log on in my account message came that my account is already exist and when I treid for forgot password page is not opening .             I have brought Tata Photon Plus from Croma store situated in Obaroi Mall Goregoan.

            I gave him Rs 700/- along with all the related document required(As its coming with an offer with Compaq Q series Laptop). After two weeks rigorous follow-up they gave me Tata Photon Plus device.

            After that another two weeks over and they havn't activated my connection. After regular follow up with TATA Photon Plus call center, Nodal center and at last with the sales person (who sold the device) say’s there is no Tata network in your locality that’s why your connection is not activated.

            My point is
            1. If my locality (Kandevili east, Lokhanwada township) does not have Tata network then why these device is sold to me.

            2. There is no help I had received from Tata photon call center and nodal center.


            The sales per name in Naeem and also Sadique ([protected]) both of them work from Croma Oberoi mall Goregoan

            I don’t know what to do now and fill cheated and losing faith from the BRAND –TATA and their team.

            2 weeks after purchasing TATA Photon, i had to buy reliance card to post this message. If you have to experience the HELL on the earth, you must try TAta Photon Plus and all this cost you 2500/-.
            Ofcourse, there is not only bad things about TFP, couple of good things i must agree that are, the Backpack Bag that comes with connection and time it takes to connect to a customer support agent when you call the tollfree number.
            Rest every thing gives you a feel of Horror show. Some of them are:
            - transaction issues between distributor and retailer. I had the horror show on day 1 due to this, and shell out some money from my pocket to address this.
            - Issues between retailers and company authorised outlets. After 2 weeks of work, my connection is blocked due to this issue and outlet blames it on retailer because some outstanding payment issues.
            - TAT for solving problems keeps changing. First some one commits 1 hr, then you end up getting response as 120 hrs as the minimum time to resolve the issue. Now today is 5th day my card is still not working.
            - Company claims that they take no responsibility for cards sold out side their offices. Then i don't understand why there are many retailers are selling the cards.
            - Coverage is a big problem. The response from customer support is you must sit right below the Tata Tower to get good output.

            I am also the tata photon plus customer and I am also facing the network issue from last 2 months and complaint 4 to 5 times but every time the customer care person advise me a lot to remove your antiviros and other stufs, after many complains they told me the engineer will visit to your home and I have recieve a call from engineer but after one week they do not come to check the problem and when I tried to confirm my complaint number that was showing in close status. I can not trust on Tata photon plus and I think Tata photon is worst in use not for use.

            I too have lost faith in the name called TATA, this is the right time to say TATA to all the products of TATA. I had bought Lenovo Laptop, i got photon plus connection with that, i had to pay 750 i paid and the sales executive asked me for the docs, i gave all what he wanted to start the connection, he started the connection but after a week, it was disconnected, saying that verification negative, how can they do it, nobody came to my house and meet me, my office work got stucked because of that, anyways i requested them to restart my connection they again demanded the same docs, i again gave the document after three days and many several requests they started my connection, that time i was feeling that i am a begger and asking for TATAs connection and i dont have any option, the company literally screwed my head, for the entire 15 days, my life was disturbed becasue of TATA, they started my connection but again after 5 to 6 days, they disconnected i got to know when i called the customercare dept, that i ahd tomake the payment of 1300/- damn i hardly used the connection for a week, they raised an amount of 1300/- i said let me have my bill first then i ll make payment they were rigid they said unless u make the payment we are not gonna start the connection, i felt like i am trapped and duped by TATA, anyways i made online payment of 1000/- rupees, and then my connection started in the evening hours, but this is not the end, when i logged in again the same night, i found that it was disconnected again, it was a limit of besharmi, i called up customercare it was 9th complaint of mine, the Customer care Officer told me that your docs are negtive, damn then i relaised that TATA has started earningmoney like this, idont know but i felt completely cheated.. i shouted at the customer care officer, but then it was of no use. i spoke to customer care next day also, then i filed a comlaint of mine to customercareemail id, then some one called me after two days, saying that we are working on ur prob, after four days, the cutomer care executive emailed me saying that by10th July 2011 ur prob will be resolved, then on 11th got a phone from one executive saying that because of our Mistake your verifaction for the second time got deleted from the system you have to give us fresh documents again, we will restart ur net.. I letrally denied to him saying that even i[censored] r offering free connection to me i will not go for it. I prefer paying more amout but i wont comeback to TATA..
            I have a suggestion for u all, dont trust the brand, trust the services, TATA it doesnt mean Good, there are many companies offering good and fast services, Now i am using airtel and mts both..

            Hi

            I was using tata photon number -[protected] and I got call from customer care to change my bill plan, I denied changing my bill plan. After that I got bill with outstanding amount 5056 from feb 2014 to feb 2015.
            I raised concern to customer care about this issue but they are not able to solve this issue. I didn’t pay this amount and my service was stopped by you. I sent mail to customer care to cancel my tataphoton and send me feb outstanding to pay. They just sent me cancellation message.
            Now they are asking me to pay 5056 amount period from feb 2014 to feb 2015. This is very Ridiculous and illegal.

              Hello,
              I am Prashant Dobhal.. I am using Tata Photon Whiz from last 2 months, and i am encountering the problem of getting disconected regularly.. I am currently using its unlimited plan (Rs. 799 per month, which including tax etc comes to Rs. 894 per month)

              When I am browsing, the net works fine, doesnt disconnect, and the speed is also fine (14-15 KBps).. but when I start any download, the speed drops(4-8 KBps, starts getting disconected ( usually once in an hour atleast, sometimes every 4-5 minutes).
              By getting disconnected I mean to say that there wont be any data transfer, it shows connected but no data transfer takes place.
              I called customer care twice regarding this, but they give only one solution to try reinstalling my system... I did that twice, even tested on 4 other systems.. still the same problem and the same reply or solution from them.
              Even the GPRS for phone works better than this.... and I dont even think that this speed and performance of Photon Whiz is even worth rs. 100 per month for unlimited... I kindly request Tata customer care to look forward to this, and do something...i[censored] cant, better discontinue this service with proper returns to customer.

              its money looting by tata its service is very bad as compared to its price we can use the internet of tata docomo for only 48rs and its speed is also good than photon whiz.
              as far as m concerned the speed of whiz is slow bt they are offering unlimited plan at only rs499(revised recently) whch is really comendable.
              surfing speed is quiet good as i dont hav to wait for the page to load, downloading speed is around 15KB/sec(avg)...
              only problem lies in watching youtube videos cz it takes loads of times in buffering...
              i[censored] waana enjoy the unlimited uses then go for tata photn whiz otherwise go for reliance netconnect broadband plus cz it has great speed n better coverage

                Customer support in respect of Tata Photon plus is totally unsatisfactory and unimaginable from a company like Tatas. My Tata photon number is [protected]. I requested for duplicate bills for the period July 2011- Dec 2011, for claim purpose, which were already paid. I tried a number of times on Customer care No[protected]. The only answer from customer support cell is that they can not provide for the referred period. No guidance provided on how to get them. I was directed to Tata centre at Gopinath Bazaar in Delhi Cantt and Head office at Connaught place. Even at Head office they expressed helplessness. What is the use of having such a customer support service? I shall be grateful if Nodal Officer can help out in this regard.

                    My name is virendra . I purchased TATA Photon+ from Axis Mobile shop New Bel Road on 2 April 2010 and Submitted all the documents (Xerox copy of DL, Rent Agreement and 2 Photo). but It got deactivated second day I contacted to Vendor he told that It will get activated in 3 days. after 3 days he said documents are not complete I sent him Scan Copy of my DL which he ask for on his Email id [protected]@gmail.com.I scolded the vendor (Naveen) after 1 day for not activation of the device, at this he offered me his personal Photon+ and showed inability in this case but I refused the offer, he suggested me to wait for Activation. To my surprise till 8 April I did not get any call from TATA indicom. and I tried the customer care no [protected] many times but of no use.On 8 April at 2 pm I got call from [protected] that was from TATA indicom. Girl said within half hour she will activate my connection and even after 2 hour it did no happen then I called back many times but no body received it. I am posting it at 5:40PM on April 8.

Agar mera kaam pura nhi kiya to mai or bahut se tata photon whiz clint mil kar midea or court me jayenge.

                      true...mera net har 15-10 mins main disconnect hote rehta hain... jab tak browse karo to normal chalega..jaise download start karo, speed ekdam slow and disconnect hona start ho jaayega...upar se woh plain k liye monthly 900 charge kar rahen hain...uske badle koi Tikona ka 600kbps wireless le sakta hain.
                      i completely agree with Surinder Singh Rawat regarding tata photon's neglegting attitude. my tata photon (inlimited) isnt wirking for 3 days, i get a meggage when i try to connect "remote server not responding", im trying to contact the complaint office but no body is answering the call... amanjot singh [protected]

                        I have purchased a Tata Photon plus on 27th March 2010, The Customer service is so bad that it does not find a customer data in their sysytem, inspite od submitting the docs. I had been to their outlet at Santacruz West & there also its a worse experience.

                        I am unable to connect the Tata photon as it is showing an Error 678 & when I call up the help line they say that your number is not reflecting in our system.

Same day I got the response from the company website that within 3 to 4 working days, I will receive my ordered material. Price for the same has been charged to my credit card on the same day that is on 13.03.2010.                             I have purchased Photon+ connection last month for my business and financial transactions which will be useful for me when I am travelling because it provides high speed internet 3.1 MBPS in cities and 256KBPS in towns according to the TATA Indicom service providers promise.But once started using this connection , came to know that speed is very very less and connection gets disconnected for evry 5 minutes.My connection number is [protected].I want to file a case on this service and see this TATA is not going to cheat any other customer with their brand image.

                              I have purchased a tata photon connection with a Rs950 min based plan advising 100 minutes of free usage by the local franchisee.
                              subsequently i have requested a change on 31 st march in my plan to Rs 500/mnt minute based plan .
                              yesterday i have received a call from your company that my unbilled amount is Rs.730 for the current month and plan.
                              on inquiring with customer care i was replied that the bill for Rs 313 has already been raised from 19 mar-29 march and Rs 730is the bill amount for the coming month.
                              i am shocked to learn that only 2 days had lapsed and only 2 hrs of internet was used by me then HOW the bill amount has been shown.
                              on veryfying my account it was showing that 2603 minutes has been used by me under the Rs 500/mnt min. based plan.
                              i would like to get clarification regarding the internet usage and the likely bill for the coming month to enable me to continue to use the services.

                              Tata Photon + — Misleading Information

                              I purchased Tata Photon(27th May) @ 1799 Rs and FRC of 125 Rs ensured 1 month usage upto 5 GB.
                              After a week usage my connection was disrupted. Later when my connection resumed(1 week later) these people asked me to pay another 1000 Rs of 5 GB usage.

                              When I enquired about discrepancy they told the offer is now available to you for some reasons.
                              If I knew the connection would have cost 2700 Rs I wouldn't have purchased it.

                              This is a fraud and I didn't expected it from company like TATA.
                              This is not right to fool customer.

                              Hope to get a all my money back(1799+125+1000Rs) in exchange of my tata photon + dongle so that is could switch to some other alternative.

I have some issues with the device and conenction ,I have contacted Tataindicom to fix the problem. I have been calling Tataindicon customer care several time to fix the problem,but they are not responding. I am in USA and my wife is folowing up ,but nothing happend. Infact I called from USA 10 times ,but Jyothi from customer care took the call and diconnected my calls. I am not sure whom to escalate this. My device is under warrenty.                                         With due respect i beg to inform u that recently i bought an internet browsing device from TATA INDICOM and the device name is tata photon +, as after browsing for few days on[protected] of Rs 200. But after when i recharged i start to browse again the message comes that there is some error , then i called to the customer care about the matter they said that they cfut the browsing charge from my account after recharging i.e of Rs 69 at 12:48 min and Rs181 at same time, but how it is possible i had not browsed it after recharging.Then i went to the office but no one had responsed my queries.My tata photon+ account number is [protected].
