Hi,

I bought a new tata photon plus just 3 weeks before. I am not getting network coverage and I cannot use it. This problem experienced in the center of the Cochin city . What should I do to get my money back? The customer service people are saying that they cannot pass network to that area, kindly advice

We had taken Tata photon plus, and to our utter dismay, suddenly it stopped working within a fortnight, and whenever we call toll free number[protected], we are put on hold for hours together, and once when we connected they say Sorry our engineers are busy attending other complaints. After releasing a product in the market, if there are no after sales and service, it is only apt that we inform all our persons not to ever even think of taking or applying to Tata Photon, and instead take Airtel or other service providers who are very fast in providing service. There is no telephone number where you can speak to any senior personnel in the particular region. Coming from the group of TATA's ( Such a wonderful man with great values, principles, humility, greatness) Sir, People down the line are spoling the image of your company day by day.
same here. I had also purchased n using tata photon plus. The person promised me that, they will be working on the network problem very soon and it will be resolved so I bought a 6 months package for photon plus. worst mistake of life. no good speeed. im getting photon whiz signal with 6GB+ UNLIMITED PLAN. i think it will take me 1000 yrs to use 6GB at this speed.
I have mailed n talked to more than 23 different CC Executives. they just dont help.
dont trust TATA. TATA NAME IS OF CHARACTERLESS COMPANY, CUSTOMER IS LAST PRIORITY.

THIS IS FACT. THEY WANT MONEY. NO NAME NO SHAME.

    I got a photon plus usb from an executive at my office. Went home and checked that it cant be activated easily. Customer care have no idea about technical complaints. Somehow managed to raise a complaint in the website. After repeated calls to concerned guys, they came and couldnt do anything about it. They were not ready to change the device for god sake. I would like to know whether the company's aim is to dobroadband business or just selling devices.
    YES you are right TATA is doing buseness only. I suggest you plase speak with your boss & try to take another connection. TAta is wrost inthe market.

      yesterday again i have called up your customer care again on [protected] and again for the fifth time they have registered my complain ang given me the PTC consumer complaint number and false - fake promise for a JE visit the entire conversation is attached with this mal , audio is in .amr format , then today i again recieved a call from ravindra number[protected] and asked the same queries again with same fake promise for a JE visit for the fifth time , please return this faulty instrument provied by the people and company where people make false - fake , commitment , tomorrow i will be going to ashoka road in ddelhi to TRAI complaint cell .in advartisement you clain that i carry speed but in reality i carry a instrunment which never works and of no use with a wrost curtomer care .

      dear tata cust care

      i have purchased tata photon plus on[protected] from your CP , N-10 outlet , my number is [protected] , and since then i am suffering ,

      wednesday 03 march the day i have purchased - i have somplained about the slow speed in yout customer care [protected] they have promised me to send a JE or repersentative but nobody came .

      thrusday 04 march - i have just checked for half an hour weather it is all right .

      friday 05 march - i have just checked

      saturday 06 march - there was no signal as and when i clicked the connect button , i called customer care on [protected] and your executive bhuvenesh told ne that some JE will visit till sunday 8 PM , and i recieved a call from chandigarh saying that if signal is slow go to open area , i carried my laptop to open area again it was showing no signal the moment i was hitting connect button , after a while he told me to recharge with 5 rupees as i have no balance , i have gone to one tata dealer and charged my new account of three day old with 10 rupees and then i called customer care there he told me that you don`t need to rechange with ant amount because this is a new connection and 1 GB is free for a month , that guy from chandigarh misguided me and your sustomer care asked me that JE will visit but no one came .


      sunday 7 march - no one came .

      monday 8 march - suddenly the connection came and stayed till wednesday till 11 th .

      again i started to face same problem of connecting i complained and they given me a complain number PTC[protected] , and assurance that this time some JE will visit i recieved a call from chandigarh from[protected] and told me that there would be a JE visit bedore 6 today but no one has came .

      i am still going to cafe anf for the purpose i have taken this photon plus , is not solved , please solve this or else i will go to consumer forum i have the bill and details .

      TATA Indicom — BAD SIGNALS AT MY OFFICE PLACE FROM PAST ONE AND A HALF YEAR.

      This is SUMIT RAJPAL and my Tata No is [protected]. I have been using this service for last 6 years. I have started facing the problem of bad or no signals at my office place from the last one and a half year. I have been constantly complaining about this at tata Customer Care through mails, phone calls, letter etc; but they always kept giving me dates that your problem will be solved in march then April then august then December and now again they have given me the date of MARCH 2008.

      I have changed my handset thrice, changed my T-Sim on TATA Customer care executive request; but of no use.

      My last Complaint Number is 96587611, dated 12/10/2007 and company executive said to me that I will be given a discount on your next bill; this is the only solution, or you can do what you want.

      I have been very much tired of writing mails to NODAL OFFICER, TATA TELECERVICES DELHI. Now I will be going to higher authorities to complaining them about the negligence of my problem.

      TATA Indicom — non activation of my no. and not responding to my queries

      This is Gundeep Malhotra . I have been fooled by Tata Indicon office Hyderabad. I wanted a new Tata Indicom connection so I visited the branch office where on of there executive named iliaz mohamad approached me. I gave him Rs 600 and he told me that the connection will get activated in 2 days. And after 2 days when I approached him he told me that your no. cannot be activated and your money will also be not returned back to me. On asking the reason why it cannot be activated he replied with a funny reason that I am a bachelor. And in the rules and regulation no where its mentioned that bachelors will not be given the new connection and to my surprise am already holding a Tata no. if they do not provide connections to bachelors then how come the no. was provided to me and I already being there customer asked for a new connection with the same name same address still it got rejected.
      And after all these problems I called up the customer care and they always promise that they will arrange a call back for the same issue but not even a single callback has been arranged yet .And when I visited the office they clearly told me “jab tak chai paani nahin milega phone on nahin hoga” and the manager told me clearly that I wont activate this number . And if I mail them the reply which I get is as “Thank you for expressing your interest in applying for a Tata Indicom product. A representative of our sales team will contact you shortly for all the additional information you need.”
      Still after all this frustration a tried calling the other manager name shridhar and a lady received the call named sindhoor (empl id 3698 as provided by her) and the way she talked to me was horrible she disconnected the call without listening to me . Really felt very insulted by all this
      So finally I thought of going to court and asking for justice why I am being not given the new no. if I am already there existing customer from past one year paying my bills regularly ,and why have they turned deaf after I paid them the money ????

      TATA Indicom — Mispresentation by the Company

      I am a regular Costumer of Tata Indicom as Pre-paid connection since last 3yrs. On[protected] I received a messange from Tata Indicome costumer service on my mobile stating that if I recharged my mobile with Rs. 299 then I get scheme of out going local calls with 0.50 paise per minute to other mobile. No conditions were discribe in the message although I have already schemed of Tata to tata unlimited calls for 2008 days which I have already paid Rs. 2008 for it. I have this scheme for last about 11 Dec 2007.and my time of that scheme is still remaining for about 4 yrs.

      Now the problem is that my previous scheme of large amount Tata to Tata is get offed because of new scheme. The custumer care have to tell us clearely in the given message that old scheme is not applicable while recharging new scheme

      After that i had called Costumer Care of Tata Indicome Senior Incharge Mr. Mohsin, he told me that he cant do any thing and I wont get back my old scheme. After that they banned my services to contact custumer care person
      although still I am a costumer fo Tata Indicom.

      Now what should I do to get back my Old Scheme becouse I had paid a Large amount for that and it is also remaining for 4 yrs to complete the scheme.

      I have lost that scheme becouse of costumer care messege with incomplere discription. How do I know that if I charge the new scheme I lost the old once
      it is the responsibility of Costumer Services to brief all merit s and demerits related to the scheme

      Now any how I want my perivous scheme back in any condition
      Beware that Tata Indicom has begun fooling customers, in the same way as Airtel & Vodafone/Hutch had been doing in the pas. You may lodge your complaint to the Nodal Officer of Tata Indicom. The email address is available from their web site. Prior to that you may lodge a complaint through their web site. If nothing ever happens, lodge a complaint with TRAI.

      TATA Indicom — NO RESULT FOR THE COMPLAINT IS LODGED VIA EMAIL

      Sir, yesterday i had lodged a complaint regarding the speed of the broadband connection of TATA INDICOM which i am using and i havent recieved any mail or phone call from any technician or representative of the company. Would my complaint ever be solved ? I am a registered customer of the company and is being billed for the same. Is it fair to charge your customers wrongly even if they go through the painful procedures of lodging complaints on your given CUSTOMER CARE no. 67908000 which is never answered by any of your representatives (except for the recorded voice when the line is connected and charges of the calls are applied) even when we are holding and waiting for 20 minutes wastikg our time and money ? Please be helpful in solving the problems i am facing. THANKING YOU.

      Tata Communications — FREQUENT DISCONNECTION SINCE 10 DAYS

      I have been with TATA communications since more than 2 years and I have been facing problems since the month of May and the problems have become worst since my renewal i, e, from 19th June.
      The problems started from the day I have renewed, I have been calling customer service and mailing too, all I get is a new complaint no. and assurance.
      I can understand if it is one or two days but it is over 9 days . I have contacted Nodal Officer too after as I was not getting solution from Customer Service, she too assured me of 48 hours, but it has been 3 days and same problems.
      I have to pay for CyberCafes though I have paid for unlimited connection to TATA communications.
      I have lost my patient and I dont know what to do .
      Can i file a complaint in Consumer Forum for this as I can see no progress in rectifying this issue.

      The problems started the day I have renewed on 19th June.
      I am Unable to browse continuously even for one hour because the connection goes off suddenly and very frequently.
      I am unable to use my connection properly, Even though I am paying for Unlimited connection, I had to spend money on Cyber cafes to access Internet.
      Even after calling many times and sending mails to customer Service, the problem has not yet been resolved.I can understand if it is one day or two days but it is over 7 days and this shows how you care about customer Service.
      I have been TATA communications for more than two years and now Im loosing my patience.You can Check the records how many times I have mailed and called customer Service Since my previous renewal i.e, from month of May.
      This is my last hope and probably last mail, you have to take action ASAP and rectify the problems else I have to look for other sources permanently.

      PHOTON + — NEW PHOTON IS NOT WORKING

      I am very happy that i have purchased a Photon + from P n G Teleservices on[protected] vide bill no. 056 book no. 02 and my phone no alloted is : [protected] and my account no is[protected] till from purchasing i the photon is not working it connects and after 5 minutes it is heated and disconnected and then gives errors. i have made comlaints to tataindicom ,PnG Teleservies som engg from tata came and issue a docket no 3410 that the instrument is faulty go from where u have purchased when i went there the say go service centre then i went to service centre at uttam nagar Lakshya infotech the keep this and give me a new after 3 days when i place in computer then it is askking the activation key i have called png & lakshay but nothing is done. I very much greaful with your services i have filled complaint via internet to nodal officer they simply closed the compalint but photon isnot working.

I have recieved mails, phone call from Nodal Officer and Cusomer Care/Representative of the company. But now they fail to solve my problem since today by the given time. They again give a mail that - Further we would like to inform you that your concern has been registered with us regarding wrong plan activation.

      Tata Photon+ service was down on 6 days in Jan in my area,
      I submitted complaints to Tata Call Centre. Complaint Dates and Times were logged.

      Tata refuses to reverse fraudulent charges.

      Tata Photon + — Staff behaviour and insult at Store

      Iam a new Cust and took the connection (AO OOOO2002EFOB) on 13th Mar 2010 from Milestone Tele Services,6-3-249/5/1, ANR Centre, Road No 1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad-500034.I was told by Mirza (Sales person) to submitt the photograph on the next day but the store was closed.On Wed when we finaly gave the Photo was told that the connection will get activated in an hour and inspite of calling 10 times in 4 hours, the same was not done.Mirza kept on avoiding my calls and finaly when spoke,misbehaved the worse.He told that my connection is my problem and he is busy and not to disturb him....

      TATA INDICOM is a brand which we trust since ages and such behaviour of their staff is absolutely disgusting .Pls give traning to the satff to behave in a decent way to the cust as the buss is not only abt selling the product but keeping them sold.Cust satisfaction is the key to any business success.

      Tata Photon + — Disrespect/negligence/lies

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      I purchased a Tata photon+ USB data card which only worked for a few hours after installation. Thus I called the customer care and the shop from where I purchased the product requesting them to fix the problem. The employees at the shop did not even answer my calls after repeated attempt. The customer care kept promising that a technician will visit me to fix to problem but even a week later no one arrived. I was lied to (false promises) every day on those 7 day, so I returned the device back to the shop.

      Since than I have requested them to stop sending me texts (which comes at odd hours of day and night everyday) and they haven't even registered such a small request. Almost a month later, I still receive these texts.

      I have also found that I am not the only one who is frustrated with this company. Please take some action to teach them a lesson.

      Dear all

      Kindly note that I was using your two numbers ([protected] and [protected]) from last one year but in the month of April to June I was facing the problem of slow speed in my photon number and frequently call drop and network related problem in my both number and that time I lodged so many complaints regarding these problem and this complaints are close without solving my problem and finally I got a call from your technical team that they are not able to solve my problem in the next two months so I have decided to disconnect my both connection because when I told customer care executive that you please give me some discount because you are unable to solve my problem in the specific time but they refuse my request so finally I have to disconnect my both connection but after two month I have taken an new connection ([protected] ) and from the 1st day I have been facing the same problem till date and I have lodged four complaints during this period. My complaint numbers are[protected] on 15 Sept and the complaint was close without visiting the site. 2nd complaint number is[protected] on 20 Sept engineer visited my place and told me that the PPA antenna is required at your place due to the low signal strength but no action taken. 3rd complaint number was[protected] on 24 Sept and I have received a call from your technical team that they are unable to solve this problem again for the next 60 days and 4th complaint number is[protected] but I think I have received the same answer from your side.
      So I want to ask following questions to you.

      Is there any solution of my complaint?
      Is this the right way to give satisfaction to your customer?
      Can you compete the market if you give this type of service?

      I am time and again requested for details of payment and receipts from April to Dec 2010 for my office use. This is since last three months i am pursuing with their call centre, Store at DADAR etc. However I am not succceded so far. I am disappointed for nor not receiving response from company like TATA Indicom. If posssible can you arrange for the same or take up the issue with appropriate authorities.

      Tata Photon Plus — Worst Service with worst Infrastructure

      The Broadband service is worst service I ever used.No Speed, Every time network outage(almost every month for 5-10 days) for tha sack of Network Upgrage. Customer care imcompetent to resolve problems. Do not give correct details, Never fulfill their commitment, everytime a new deadline. They do not have provision for anything ,neither give problem description in written form nor provide any compensation for their bad services.
      I would strongly recommend not to use this service. Let them loose their customer support.

      I need to surrender my tata photon connection, since im not able to pay the bill which had been costed insipite of low usage.

      Tata photon plus is the best example of violation of consumer rights in India!!
      2 year back here in guwahati when i had my own connection, i used to get a speed of aroud 100-500 kbps speed when it was newly launched in here. So i left it after using around 5 months when the speed kept getting more pathetic.And now after 2 yrs again i am bound to use it..this time from my company as there is no other option for mobile internet here. To to my surprise the speed now here is aroud 10-20Kbps!!! Most of the time it takes me 3-4 tries just to establish a connection to the 'server"!! And i have been facing this problem since last 4 months. Other photon plus connections too have the same problem here in my office.

      And the most ironical thing is that my office and tata indicom office are in the same building!! :P

      Lord save India from Tata photon+!!!
      This is true.I bought my photon+ card 3 days back.Yesterday it started giving problems.I tried to call the person who sold me the card.He is not even picking up the call although i tried almost some 25 times.

      Tata Photon + — Misrepresentation & Cheating

      Dear Sir,
      I got the new connection for my friend Data Card in my name at Kanchipuram TATA Indicom Center by producing my native Address Proof & ID Proof, in that time they said i can able to access the internet in my native place (village) but speed will be less. Now I am not getting even one point of Signal in my village. I complained to the Customer Care, but they are simply telling this is the problem with the Signal, so it can not be used in the village and we can not do anything.
      This is a cheating, while i produced my address proof they should have told me whether can i able to get the signal or not, but they simply sold their product and now telling "its not possible"
      This refers to Tata Indicom No. [protected]; Account No. [protected]. Kindly note that I am
      facing excessively poor download speed (2 kbps)for last 2-1/2 months. I am regularly complaining to
      customer services and to concerned nodal officer for last 2 to 3 weeks. Unfortunately this worst service provider has bare minimum infrastructure to cater services to service-holders those who are already trapped by their marketing professionals, so called canvasser. After complain you will surely find a call from Tata Indicom. Before you going to say anything person on the other side starts telling, "sorry we are are unable to listen your voice properly, it is getting cracked, we shall contact you later." And with a surprise you will get a SMS in your mobile/alternative no that your complain is closed. If you get any opportunity to catch hold of a person on the other side of complain booth, do not pretend yourself at all a gentleman rather abuse him/her in worst most silly language you know. Believe it or not that they are really habituated with such behavior and surely respond your problem by sending their service engineer at your place. You will surely find that performance of your system got improved for 1 to 2 hours on visit your service engineers and thereafter it again drop down to 2kbps.
      Kindly note that I was an user of your Tata Indicom data card ([protected]) and faced similar
      problem. One of the service engineers advised me to go for Tata Photon+. Unfortunately the case is even
      worst. Pl. suggest how could I get the amount refunded back what I expended to purchase this
      trouble. I am totally dis-satisfied with the performance after expending so much. I am ready to
      return the device on receipt of refund. I understand that it is not possible for you to cater a minimum
      better service with your network.

      Tata Photon — Connection not working

      Hi There,

      I am also facing problems after I bought Tata Photon Plus from Vriti Interactive last friday June 24.

      I made a payment of 4800 for bundled offer (HARP+6 months) and my Reference Number is 3602837.

      I got the device but it was tough to get it activated. After that it worked for 2 days and now it is not working.

      I call up custmore care and they tell me They don't have my data and when I call vriti, they will sya that they will call back but that never happens.

      I want my money to be credited back so that I can take fresh connection with Tata but not through agents.

      Tata Photon + — Mental harrassment over wrong bill

      I have been using your Photon+ service since last three months and the response from customer service team is useless and
      non co-operative.first of all my plan is of tataphoton+ 6GB whereas the bill generated is of [protected]@ 650 .
      Even after calling your customer service 18 times (itemised phone bill as a proof).they have not solved my doubts and are continously calling me and torturing with their meaningless talk.
      They even called on my residence number couple of time and have mentally harassed my family.I have attached my Customer slip as proof of my plan and the bill as proof for the misguided plan.This is my final and cordial way of complaining.if the issue is not resolved within 7 days then i might take a legal action plan.

      Tata Photon + — Receiving Threatening call from TATA

      Hi,

      I have already dropped a lot of mails to TATA tele Service & TATA tele Service MD regarding my TATA Photo+ network Issue.I was facing the issue with speed(not receiving the speed).And after 2 days of Buying the device. I have drop the mail for issue stating that "If you are not able to resolve the issue, then please close the connection, else i will not be considering any kind of settlements" for which you have not replied.and not resolved the issue and not close my connection.then i have buy the airtel.

      Also, Since, i have received a money recovery threatening call from the mentioned mobile number ([protected]) on behalf of TATA Teleservices Ltd. on 28/12/2011 at 10:27 AM, which is against the Indian Law, i would like to file a complaint in consumer forum for same.

      Well, with reference to the Photon no. - [protected], I purchased the TATA Photon device in November 2012 (which they activated after 20 days or 25 and committed before purchasing that the same will be activated within 2 working days, was pathetic customer service I dealt with.) and the retailer I brought it from described that the plan is best value for money and I can always change the plan after 2 months period is over (I got the retailers contact details on a website and they delivered the device at my premises). After 2 months, when I contacted customer services, they told me this plan can not be changed before May 2013 (which was a mislead or false representation by your dealers I'd say), I agreed to that and told them I will contact later in May 2013 to change the plan.
      In the first week of May, I contacted to TATA Customer services via chat to change the bill plan and be effective from next billing cycle which starts from 20th of each month. They gave me a reference number too, and I got a text from INDCOM on 09th May stating "Hi! We have changed the Bill Plan for your Photon no xx wef[protected] as per your request no xx. Thank you.".
      I was pretty assured with the text and thought it is really changed now.
      After two or three days, again I contacted customer services via Phone and tried to cross check if the same has really been changed.
      I requested a corporate plan named 10GB @ 800 per month. The agent told me it hasn't been changed yet and your bill plan is still the same as earlier. I was pissed off asked what was that text about and even they did not think the importance to inform me about it. That is not how a customer service of a company works. The agent advised me to inbox customer services and I did the same. Today I got a call from Keshav (some Mumbai number +91-[protected]) he kept me on hold to check the details and disconnected the call without any information. I been trying to contact customer care via chat, email or Phone and ain't got any satisfactory answer or resolution of the problem yet. The first impression of TATA Photon was too worse as I was talking to customer services via email and they wasn't good enough even to read the mails properly, giving the resolution was a long way to go for them. I asked about any supervisor I can talk with, Nodal officer or appellate authority but they advised no, we (customer care executives via chat, email and phone) are whole-sole of TATA photon and I can only talk with them and trust me it was pretty ridiculous. Again, I have got no response from your side after many emails, calls, and chats.
      If any authorized and superior person contacts me via email or Phone, I can let him/her see all the mails, chats I been dealing with.
      Every month, I need to use the internet a lot and if I don't get a proper speed I want, it costs me a loss, and I do not know who to make the responsible for the loss occurred to me due to insufficient speed and lack of customer services with existing ISP. I been always taking the speed boosters which costs me just double of the bill amount (i.e. I am subscribed to [protected]@750 per month and each month I been subscribing to a 2GB speed booster pack and 1GB speed booster pack which makes it 750+350+200=1300+ST).
      I am really frustrated with Photon's pathetic customer service. There are a lot of experiences I have had in past several months which can not be explained here.

      WHATSOEVER, I just want my existing plan to be changed into [protected]@800 per month from May itself (I won't wait till the June starts or else I will just disconnect the services and TATA Photon must forget me as a customer and you are going to loose other customers too for sure, I will always recommend IDEA as the best ISP with no problems).

      If still I won't get a response from your side, I must go to NCDRC and file a complaint about the harassment and misleading and misrepresentation I dealt with.

      I have purchased Tata Photon, wireless broadband device no. [protected]. Your Executive ( Randhir, Mob no.- [protected]) came at our place taken money and my all related documents on Saturday[protected]. He asked to activate that USB till Tuesday[protected].

      I got a message from INDCOM for reference verification on[protected]. Today it's[protected] mid night but still they didn't give any verification call. I called them[protected] they told me they will take 7 working days to make a call for verification. They said TATA Indicom sales team doesn't know anything, they are telling me the truth.
      As I mentioned your sales executive told me for activation they need 24 hours and when we make a call on your customer care no.[protected] they asked for 7 working days.

      As a customer I'm facing a big trouble, I wanted a fast service that's why I bought TATA Photon but here all picture has changed when I gave full payment. Now your sales team in-charge (Krishna, Mob no.-[protected]) is not picking up any call from my no/ not giving response of any sms as they believe in one time sales.

      Being a customer I really don't understand to whom I should report.[protected] is the 4th day, If you can't activate this USB till Thursday[protected]. Please refund me my money and documents back, I don't want any further relationship with TATA. I wanted to buy wifi router also but after going through your Customer care executives/ Sales team executives response, I don't think you guys will give any further assistance. You believe in one time sales, don't believe in customer services to retain them for a long period.

      I'm exhausted from your services please activate it by tomorrow else give my money back.


      Please don't force me to go Consumer Court.

          I have used this service for almost a year and it have recently not been very satisfied with my experience when I was given a totally confusing result as to why I had to pay 2, 500 for two months when it had already been paid. I asked for the detials for Jan and Feb but was told I would have to go to another office in oder to get these detials . The Tata centre I went to is in Indiranagar (neear the RTO), Bangalore.

          I also wanted to change my plan from USB 950 MB plan to aa 500mb per month plan but I was told even this could not be done and I would have to contact another office. If i can't even change my plan from the TATA office then this is really pathetic!!!

          I would suggest someone get in touch with me at the earliest in order to rectify this or I will have no choice but to discontinue the service and not reccomend it to anyone that I know. Get in touch with me in oder to help me convert my plan asap.

            Hi,
            I am using Tata Photon + for the past 7 to 8 months and I have been complaining to the customer care that I dont have enought speed as my Data Card supports 3.1Mbps and only getting 150Kbps. I have been complaing constantly. I recently called the customer care to take back the device and give the money back, which they said they will take time till 4th March, 2010 9pm which I agreed. I spoke to a lot supervisors on the floor, named Ashmath, Rajitha, Krishna and Sameer and also lot other agents on the floor (Customer Care no: [protected]).
            I called a landline no:[protected] from which I got a call from Sameer. I called back the next day and an agent picked up and I asked for Sameer, the agent was so stupid that he did not put the mic on mute and was speaking to Sameer where in he asked the agent to say that Sameer was not here and also asked to disconnect the call. So after that when I call none of calls are being attended by anyone and also with the issue with internet. Is there anybody who can help teaching them a lesson. Please?

            Tata / Photon Plus. — No response.

            Dear sirs,

            I had purchsed a Photon plus connection and device from Globus Bandra, in 2009 end. Model EC- 1260.
            Sr No :- Z44CAB[protected].
            The device was activated within a couple of days. Subsequesntly I was told that since I had an outstanding amount for my Tata phone bill which was settled by me over 8 years back, I was asked to prove the same. As I did not have any details of such old records. I asked the Tataphoton personel ( Near Plaza cinema ) to give me the details , they said it would take a month. It is now Sept, I have not had any feedback, not even a call. I even tried logging on to thier complaints cell on the website, the form has been so beutifully designed, that it does not allow you to fill one mandatory field , thus you cannot submit the form. Naturally they would have a very high rating in consumer satisfaction, as like me there must be many who just cannot complaint to the consumer guidance through your website, not once, but over a period of three months.

            I would like to find a solution to this problem, or a refund of my 3500/- . I am very disappointed with the service provided by Tatas.

            Any suggestions ?

            tata photon plus does not deserve to be product of the year...getting not even 50 kbps speed while downloading... customer care is also poor ...solve my problem fast...

                pls dont buy tata photon they are the biggest cheater.
                Yes I AGREE THEY ARE THE FOOLING AND MISLEADING PEOPLE. I HAVE HEARD NO ONE CUSTOMER SATISFIED WITH THEM. EVERYONE HAS THE SAME STORY WHOMEVER I HAVE ASKED WHO GOT THIS TATA PHOTON.

                NO ONE MUST BUY TATA PHOTON, AS THEY JUST INTERESTED IN SELLING THEIR CHINA-MADE CHEAP DEVICE.

                I purchased this Tata Indicom Photon Device for 3600 Rs. on November 6, 2009, and went for montly plan of 950 for 5 GB usage. On questioning where to check the usage, i was directed both by the executive and the customer to check in the s/w provided with the device. After a Month i am receiving bill of 3000 rs against 950, mentioning I overused to 9 GB, where as the device with me says only 4 GB, which is even less than the plan limitation. They disconnected the connection asking for payment. On bringing the issue to them, they advised to pay 1000 more to continue the connection and then they will resolve the issue later and reduce the amount frm next bill. I paid 1000 more. Even after paying they did not resume till 20 days consecutively. After 20 days they relay the connection and say the bill is accurate and I have used that much. On questioning why device shows so low, they say "its just an an estimate".

                They are not interested in customer anymore once their device for 3600 rs, the original cost of which is no more than 200 rs per me.
                This is ridiculuous!
                They cheat the customers saying that it is of competetive speed but the speed is of only 153 kbps. yeah! i am not mistaken it is 156 kbps.
                please dont buy it.
                I wish i could make them bankrupt for lying to those who believe them.
                0.2 - 2 kbps, thats the approximate speed of tata photon whiz...
                They are the best... liars

                  I am an Advocate and i am practising at Punjab & Haryana High Court.I am staying in Dhakoli, where in mid of December the DSA by the name of Cube Enterprises had set up a canopy in our locality. I was approached by Mr.Pankaj Kumar who is the agent of said DSA and he offered me Tata Photon. I told him i didn't intend to spend 3600/- Rs.as already i had spent money on Tata Whiz , then the agent (Pankaj) told me that he had an old Tata photon which he would give me in Rs 1800/- only by taking my Tata Whiz instrument back.Accordingly i gave him my signed Identification proof and all other documents as asked for by him.Now to my surprise the agent is saying that the old device can't be given to me as the same won't work for next 3 months therefore he can't give me the same.I asked him to return my identification proof and other doc's but he refused foer that also by saying that the same can't be returned as they have been deposited in the company. I want to know when no connection on my I.D. proof has been released then why my documents cant be returned. I have the apprehension that my I.D. proof might be used by somebody else, which would be illegal and breach of trust.

                      I bought a Tata Photon + on 31st July 2009 having number [protected] [protected] and account number[protected].

                      After using the photon I found that speed is very very low. I contacted customer support they gave me various settiing but couldnot increase the speed. The speed I was getting was in the range of 100 to 300 kbps. This was tested from the website provided by Tata support executive. The complaint was registered vide email on august 10 2009 vide docket number[protected].

                      Various executive visited my house, changed various setting in the computer but could not increase the speed. They checked with 2-3 computers at various locations in house and even used their own laptop to check but of no avail.

                      On complaining to nodal office on august 11 2009 he closed the call informing me that speed between 256 kbps to 600 kbps is Ok. and had no explanation why my Photon is working so slow.

                      On appealling to to Applleate Authority vide no.[protected] dated 14th October 2009 I am yet to receive any answer.

                      I hv stopped using the connection and is running around to get my refund from the comapny, for this expensive white elephant where the ad claims speed upto 3.1 MBPs but comapny says it is not possible.

                      Now they are only asking for the bill which they have generated without solving the problem. The 3 bills I have already paid without getting any service, they are silent about it. The complaint to Nodal Office and Apellate Authority is still pending.

                          i have bought tata photon connection just months back n i have payed an amount of not less than 15 k till today.. i tuk up aplan of 500mb den i realised that i would need some other plan i called up couster care n told them to change my plan... and i was told that the plan vill b changed before evening.. but which was not done at all.. n dey disconnect the connection every 2 days ones

                          Wen i ever i call up couster care i never get proper information on anything.. dey tell is is our network problem vill give u connection in 4hrs but which never happens... after i call around 10 time n den tell them to disconnect dey tell v r sorry for inconvience caused n tell me v have disconnected bcz u have crossed ur credit limit..n they always give worng figures... I m told that my credit limit is 2500 n n once i called couster care just around 10 days back n dey said my outstanding is 8000 n i should pay it asap for continued services..
                          beofre all this i had requested for a cancellation of my account n i got a call for reconfirmation ver in i was promised that the paln vill b changed with in a day v vil b providing first 100 minutes free from the next billing date n also vill do a wave of extra charges n i vill b charged according to the plan i have asked...

                          but none of the promises r taken care of n i doubt that i have been charged tooo much.

                            I advise everyone not to select Tata Photon+ minute based plan. Either there is bug in their software or Tata is deliberately doing it to overcharge the customers. If you shutdown your computer without logging off then they keep on counting minutes. Say if you shutdown your computer at night forgetting to log off, then they will keep on counting minutes till next time you log in / log off. In case of mobile phone, if during call my battery goes off then call automatically disconnects. Service provider do not keep on counting Air charge till you charge your mobile and turn it ON again. Tata Photon+ is also kind of wireless Phone with number. So if I shutdown computer then automatically their software must logof[censored]ser. I god unexpected bill two times. While talking to customer care they accept this situation but regret to do anything for this issue.

                              Dear Sir / Madam,

                              I have taken a TATA Photon Whiz connection on 7th Jan, 2010. My connection number is [protected]. At the time of demonstration they said that there is a scheme o[censored]nlimited usage with a monthly rental Rs.500/- + Tax (VData ARP Rs.3999/- + Tax, A total amount of Rs.4411/- for the modem) for corporate employees. They also claimed that the speed will be 153.6 Kbps. But after that from 15th January mails and phones started coming and those demanded absurd amount of money. My connection was terminated twice. I couldn't understand that after purchasing the unlimited scheme how can there be a demand for extra money other than monthly rental of Rs.500/-. I contacted customer care services and they are just avoiding me and telling that it will take time to reconfigure my plan. Even the speed is not up to that what they claimed. The speed varies mostly from 2-10Kbps and sometimes it reduces to zero !!! With this speed even the gmail is not loading properly. I am being harassed repeatedly and after the first month I got a bill of Rs. 4064/- though the scheme stated about a monthly rental of Rs.500/-. I think that everyone should think twice before purchasing this product.

                              I will be highly obliged if you look into this matter.

                                hello sir, on 29th march 2010 i had purchased tata photon plus from vriti infocom pvt..ltd.....
                                at that time they had given a offer of holiday package......but now after selling their product they r not contacting me......m only calling them wasting my mobile balance.....and even then they wodn't respond me well.....now sir plz tell me what to do????

                                Photon Plus — Improper Billing

                                After repeated request to Tata teleservices support I am yet to receive the corrected bill for the previous month billing cycle. There will be no payment from my side, as I am getting erroneous billing their side and that is for some good time.

                                The month before the previous one, I had came across a same type of instance of receiving a bill with wrong amount. After repeated calls to customer support there is no resolution to it till date. But inspite of that I had cleared the false billing.

                                But this time, I will not pay a single penny. I am within a plan of INR 550 / month and its a time based plan. Herein, I receive 1800 minutes of internet connectivity and usage for a month and I use it by creating a note of my usage on a daily basis. But inspite of that I am receiving billing which is far more exceeding my internet usage.

                                Finally, I had requested the customer support (billing) to send me a corrected bill otherwise I will cancel my connection of PHOTON once and for ever.

                                I had made a payment of Rs 1599/- on connectindia.com for product id-8556,Tata photon Plus ( Ref Id for my payment 3090534 ) on 8th of Jan 2011

                                As per my conversation with Mr Sandeep S, he told that the device would be active within 2hours, but the device was not active even afer three days..
                                so i registered a complaint with
                                with Tata photon customer care (docket #[protected]Miss komal, {Supervisor}). They have approved a refund and Mr Lilit called from vriti.com regarding that they would send me a cheque. but till date a did not get my refund nor my documents & my photograph.
                                I had been constantly calling and sending mails to tata photon customer and to nodal officer and spoke with (Mr Jitendra & Mr Sattar Khan {Supervisor}) and every time i call the will assure
                                me for my refund and my documents back within 24 hrs but till date i din`t get my refund nor my documents and my photograph.
                                The customer support of tata photon is just worst...

                                Photon Plus — deviated from the plan offer

                                As per my plan, for the first two months i do not need to pay anything. Already a ticket regarding this is raised and they told the issue is closed no need to pay anything for the first two months and the same will reflect in 24 hours of time in your account. But now my connection is suspended and my outstanding bill amount is showing 1055.

                                  1. one Photon+ Prepaid mobile internet connection along with a device purchased on the 24 jan 2010.

                                  2. Rs.3500/- paid to Execellent Communications, mayur vihar,phase-I. 10 GB of download free with the connection promised

                                  3. device was not functioning properly since purchase & the same was brought to the notice of the vendor on 25th & 27th but I was rudely turned away & asked to approach the consumer court.

                                  4 three complaints with the following reference numbers lodged on customer care no. [protected]:-

                                  (a) PTC- [protected] dated 27 jan 2010.

                                  (b) PTC- [protected] dated 28 jan 2010

                                  (c) PTC- [protected] dated 30 jan 2010.

                                  5. Nobody has rectified the complaint/ replaced the device till date inspite of reapeated requests

                                  6. the device is under a one year guaranty period.

                                  Worst thing I ever purchased. I own a prepaid Photon+ connection. They never give you the data transfer limit the claim to offer. I[censored] ever use video chat, then u are charged double or may be triple o[censored]r data transfer rate. Utter loss of money, heavy on pocket and unreliable service. Very poor customer service. Vendors and dealers cannot provide details o[censored]r usage. U are left with no option to know ur prepaid balance other than to believe when they say u are out of balance. Once inspite of having sufficient balance I topped it up on saturday so that I would not face trouble on Sunday. I never used it more than 30 an hour and it got disconnected. On Monday morning I went to recharge and they say its negative balance Rs 129. So if I top up, they will straight away deduct this amount from my account. I asked for details o[censored]sage which they are unable to provide. Called up customer care and asked for details- They say can’t help since its prepaid. Very very very POOR Service

                                      I am from Mohali (Punjab), my Photon whiz connection number is [protected]. What is the downloading speed of Tata Photon Whiz device that I should be expecting? On internet Tata Indicom claims its 140-150kbps. I am getting 15 - 20 kbps downloading speed. I have already submitted complaints at 121 and [protected] under complaint no.[protected] dtd. 17/12/09,[protected] dtd. 22-01-10 but issue is still pending till today 29-01-10.

                                      When i contact to Tata Billing department, they told me "Please keep paying the bill, the issue will be resolve at any time".

                                      One of service Engineer visited from your side and suggested me to re-load windows. On the same other hand I am using Reliance Broad Band connection on same Lap-Top and I am getting sufficient speed.

                                        I,Fayeza, am a user of tata photon plus (tata number - [protected], account no.[protected] from last 5 months. I have had following issues which are havent been addressed by the concerned authorities from the last one month.
                                        I have been using photon plus's 950rs plan (tariff plan- HNI HSIA USB 950 MB Plan)which provides 2gb day usage and 10gb night usage, without any extra charges (as per there brochure and as per the informations provided to me by their officials).

                                        1. My credit limit is 3000 INR, which means in any case i am not supposed to get a bill more than 3000Rs in one month's time. but my last month bill ( bill no.[protected], bill period - 05/12/09 to 04/01/10, credit limit 3,000.00Rs). but my lbill has come to Rs. 6,399.00... which is a mistake from their side. my usage is supposed to get barred as soon as my limit reaches 3000rs.

                                        2. My night usage starts at 11 pm till 7 am, and most of my usages are during this stated time. but they claim tat my usage had been during the day time

                                        3. Now for the above issue no.2, they are claiming that even if we log in at 10.59pm, and then continue using their service after 11pm, it is considered to be day time usage. But if i log in anytime after 11pm, and i continue using their service after 7am, it will be automatically considered as day time, and the night time will not be continued after 7 am. This is a pure way of fooling customers as it should be either ways that the automatic time should start, or it should not work both ways. This policy of tata indicom is against all LOGICS.

                                        4. I have logged in a complaint regarding all the above issues and to discontinue the services (complaint number [protected] and the docket number[protected]. But there hasnt been any action taken by them over the issue. what maximum they have done is, kept on disturbing me by calling me over and over again during my office timings and asking me the issues over and over again. Everytime some new person calls me up, who is unaware of the issues, or complaint or the previous conversations i have had with other executives who have called me before, ending the conversation by saying "we will get back to you, regarding your issues after talking to higher officials" and then again someone new calls me up, and the whole story repeats again and again.

                                        5. Everytime an official calls, he/she is unaware of the issues and the previous conversations(as stated earlier) and different data is provided to me by them everytime, contradicting the ones who have called me before.

                                        This thing has become a real head-ache, and i am really fed up of these people, their faulty service and mismanagement from their part. I didnt have any choice other than complaining to consumer forum. I have asked all my friends, not to use tata photon plus, in future, and also asked my friends who are currently using it, to stop their service. I will not recomend anyone to use tata photon plus's service.

                                        same problem and same plan i used 11600 mb i got below 4200rs what i have to do can any one suggest me
                                        I Have the similar problem. I had signed up for a tata photon plus connection with a RP of 1500 for 15GB free usage for 2 months, thereafter will be charged Rs. 1500 + extra usage charges @ 50ps per MB (if applicable) + taxes. I took the connection on 15th Jan 2010 and got the welcome letter stating that my Billing Cycle would be 4th of each month to the 5th of the following month, with the bill being generated on the 7th. Yesterday and today i've got 2 calls from the Bill service call centre based out of Hyderabad telling me that my current outstanding is Rs. 3039 for the period of Jan 15th to Feb 04th 2010, and they demanded when i would be making the payment. I clarified to them that till i receive my bill and I get a confirmation form the customer service I will now make any payments.

                                        So i called customer care today who gave me the details pertaining to my usage for the above period as Upload units - 1368 MB & Download Units as 13842 MB. These 2 put together total up to 15210MB which is equal to 14.86GB. Customer care had no proper info to provide as to why I was charged 3039. as per their plan i have utilized less than the allowed free usage and the 1st 2 months is free rental.
                                        I bought a Tata Photon + on 31st July 2009 having number [protected] [protected] and account number[protected].

                                        After using the photon I found that speed is very very low. I contacted customer support they gave me various settiing but couldnot increase the speed. The speed I was getting was in the range of 100 to 300 kbps. This was tested from the website provided by Tata support executive. The complaint was registered vide email on august 10 2009 vide docket number[protected].

                                        Various executive visited my house, changed various setting in the computer but could not increase the speed. They checked with 2-3 computers at various locations in house and even used their own laptop to check but of no avail.

                                        On complaining to nodal office on august 11 2009 he closed the call informing me that speed between 256 kbps to 600 kbps is Ok. and had no explanation why my Photon is working so slow.

                                        On appealling to to Applleate Authority vide no.[protected] dated 14th October 2009 I am yet to receive any answer.

                                        I hv stopped using the connection and is running around to get my refund from the comapny, for this expensive white elephant where the ad claims speed upto 3.1 MBPs but comapny says it is not possible.

                                        Now they are only asking for the bill which they have generated without solving the problem. The 3 bills I have already paid without getting any service, they are silent about it. The complaint to Nodal Office and Apellate Authority is still pending.
                                        I recently purchased Tata Photon +, i am not used tata photon, i am in 750Rs plan. But they have given the 2500Rs as my bill. As i went to them and asked what is this, they told your bill is that much only, if i won't they told me to send legal notice.

                                        Actually i purchased the tata photon + of prepaid plan, after purchanging they told that you are on prepaid plan, i told customer care people to i told same thing to customer care people same thing.


                                        BECARE FULL WHILE ANY ONE PURCHASING THE TATA PHOTON+, DON'T GO FOR IT.
                                        I agree on wrong billing part as I have also faced same problem. Since we can not calculate upload/download data, Indicom takes advantage and gives incorrect bills.. If you have plan with 2GB limited data transfer, they will show 5-6 MB even if actual usage is less than 2GB.. just to extract more money from customers.. If you chose 5GB plan they will wrongly show 7-8MB usage and charge accordingly... and they will anyhow prove that they are correct and customers are wrong...
