[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Mental harrassment

I have never been a tata-sky customer. I have never subscribed to their services. Still i keep on receiving messages from the company (Ta-tatasky or tm-tatasky) about pending payment dues, recharging remenders, etc. On my personal mobile number. I hope this is total violation of one's privacy and results to mental harrassment.

tata sky DTH / HD — not provided 450 free viewing hours

I have purchased LG LCD TV in june2011,from The dealer JATINDERA ELECTRONICS SCO.2439,SEC.22 C CHANDIGARH.This dealer told me that ,tatasky HD is free this TV & you will also get 450 viewing hours free, so I have bought it along with TV. After installation of Tata sky HD,it worked for two,three days & stopped with message that recharge your account.at last I have to recharge it & till date no 450 viewing hours creditted into my account. They have given no responce till date.they have clearly cheated me.there is alot of diffrence between their policy & action.My tatasky ID is [protected]

We have been subscribing to TataSky + for well over two years and use both a primary and a secondary connection. We chose TataSky + as we wished to record some films to watch at a later date at our leisure.
On 22/5/11, we renewed our yearly subscription. However, since you had introduced a "choose your own package" option, we decided to do away with a number of channels which we NEVER watched or that we felt we didn't need. Being interested ONLY in news in English, English Movies and all Sports channels, we decided to go in for the South pack + English Movies pack + plus Sports Packs one, two and three available at the time.
Our first complaint is that no sooner did the Cricket season start, in the West Indies, that we found to our dismay that there were two new sports channels, not included in any of the three above-mentioned packs, without which we could not watch the West Indies series, and for which - of course - we would have had to pay extra.
Our second complaint is regarding the RECORDING FACILITY. We had recorded a few Classics such as "Guess who's coming for Dinner", Double Jeopardy (with Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones), etc. To our dismay, we found that these films still appeared on the PLAN list, they had in fact been wiped out from the digicomp's memory, with a message saying that "you have not subscribed to this channel". In effect, the channels in question were TCM and HBO, both of which we have indeed subscribed to since the beginning. On consulting your customer care executive, we were informed that "because you have changed your Primary pack to the Southern pack, anything taped earlier is deleted" and your executive claimed that we had been so informed at the time. Since we are an elderly couple, I cannot say for certain whether we were informed or not. It is not always easy to understand what the customer executive is saying. But in any case, we continued with the same CHANNEL and consequently should have been able to retain what we had taped. As for informing us, I recommend that such information can be conveyed by e-mail or SMS so as to garantee that the customer KNOWS. We are so upset about this that we are thinking of changing our DTH provider. Yours faithfullyt,

Tata Sky — complaint still not resolve -19 days....

I am Tata Sky Customer from long time having three set up Box at my place of all Tata Sky.

My tata Sky was stop working on 15 July .I have lodged the complaint regarding the same and they have told me that they will replace the same within 2-3 Days .on 26th July I have talk to them again and they have told me that they are out of stock and it will Take another two days.

What you Expect in todays time if some one is taking such a long time and giving a wrong Committment.I have never expected from the Brand like TATA this kind of service.

On 27th they have replace the BOX and when I check the Box in the Evening than I have found that the Box is Not working .

Today is 2nd September and No one is even bothered to Resolve the Same.I have got the call from the Customer care and they have told me that they are out of stock and will call me ASAP when they will get the Box.

Very pathetic Situation .Already been 19 Days my complaint has not been resolved and still waiting.......

Never Expected such things from the company like TATA.

I have complain regarding the set top box. i have registered the complain on[protected]. but still no action is being taken in this regard.I have called the customer care more than thrice but no action has been taken. Its very sorry and ridiculos to say that the customer is being cheated on their part...

I am a tata sky customer my id. no. [protected],, I have no signal problem from last week still I am facing this problem ...
I also raised complaint 2 times but no eng. visit at my home...............
And the person who call me not talked properly and also misbehave with me ...and said "I will not get to attend your compliant,,and also thread me to close my tata sky connection ",the person name is "Sumit/Mehboob"....
I also 2 times mail to tataky help line([protected]@tatasky.com) but still no response towards them...............

We have been very old customer's of Tata Sky for more then 5 long years having a/c No. [protected]

I have below mentioned complains that i am facing and needs a immediate positive solution

1. I have called on Tata Sky today at 19.40 Hours & infomed Mr Manjunath in detail of my grievances While speaking telephone connection was disconected, Which made me again call back this time speaking to a new executive and providing all information again, Surprisingly line was transfered to a new executive the 3rd time making me repeat everything the 3rd time and was transfered to a senior official Ms Sharmila and again i was forced to repeat my query - In the first place the call says that the call is being recorded and can be clarified

2. I was not provided any solution which was very annoying and disturbing as i requested for a E-Mail ID's of senior's in Tata sky but was refused as Sharmila did not have the authority to provide the required information i needed as i understood that Sharmila was a ordinary executive

3. On the 28th August i recharged my account with Rs 1000.00 as i was told that either i can recharge for 6 Months or 1 Year only, Now on me calling Tata Sky to recharge for Rs 5000/- which would complete my annual mega package of Rs 6000.00 giving me 1 Month's free subscription and was very very upset with the revert i was provided to me saying that the Rs 1000.00 re-charged by is over in a Month's time which equals the Rs 1000.00 re-charged What Nonsence is this

4 Has Tata Sky lost all ethics and decided to blead thier customers like leaches ?

Well i have decided to stand my ground for good and incase i do not have a solution in the next 24 to 48 Hours would deactive and approach the consumer forum for harassment and cheating your customers

I am a user of Tata sky since may 2011. My Subscriber id is:[protected].

My Tata sky set-top box is not functioning properly anytime. I am fed up of the service received by Tata Sky. My set-top box has already been replaced 3 times and this is the 4th time. I have just given them the complaint. Every time they replace the Set-top box, and within a span of exact 15 days, again the set-top box stops working. Sometimes during watching TV, suddenly a software starts downloading and after that, the signal never comes back.

If you can replace my set-top box with a complete new set, I will be happy or else, you can take your set-top box at your home and enjoy viewing.

Please consider my problem on immediate priority and give me a reply soon.

customer care person cut the phone call without giving full solution of problem
Tatasky website http://www.tatasky.com/highdefinition talks of 1080i resolution, 16:9 aspect ration and 7.1 Surround Sound availability on their Tatasky HD.

For the information of potential Tatasky HD customers, Surround Sound is not available on the HDMI port of the Tatasky HD box. Not even 5.1 is available on the HDMI port.

It is unbelievable that a Tata company with Sky puts false claims and sells it's products to gullible customers.

If you wish to have 5.1 on an HDMI port, ask some other service provider in India.

Consumer court is being approached for taking this issue of selling with a false claim
I have upgraded with HD box 15 days back, not functioning since then, made several complain no action takenby Tata Sky people.A horrible service provider, don't purchase tatasky in future.

My Tata Sky ID is [protected]. I have got fed up with Tata Sky Service. Very often is is displaying with "NO SIGNAL" and whenever I am calling in the Helpline No. the attending executive always keeps me in hold for 10-15 minutes. Though after that no solution I usually get.

If this is the kind of Service in consumer segment then its really frustrating one.

Shocked this morning (4th august)when an engineer having mobile no [protected] who landed at my residence to give a new second tv connectionhe first said he will not touch my tv and i have to find some one to handle tv. See starts with. Negative. I told him I have already points for tv aT new place he persisted with higher negativity. And rudeness and said he will not touch my tv.
I wonder how u can any one give new connection without touching a tv

I spoke to jatender an jyoti on 20842569.Both of them said that he (engineer ) will not touch and jatender said he does not bother whether I stay with tatasky or not but his man will not touch.
Again surprised to find that cost of new box deducted from my balance when I have not taken it and while ordering had told that I will give cash for it.
It is pathetic how tatasky treat their customers. Help line is but HELPLESS . NO CLUE HOW THEY CAN HELP. I[censored] WRITE ON [protected]@tatasky.com, i got an auto generated message yesterday and no one contacted me till 4 pm on 5th august.
I have marked mail to ceo.. harit nagpal T harit.[protected]@tatasky .com, but so far no reply. It is all hell with tatasky. i am seriously thinking to move to some one more saner and not deaf and dumb like tatasky.

Back ground: I have multi TV connection and subscriber no is: [protected]

June 2013 when I spoke to someone in call center to understand how much I need to pay to recharge my tatasky account for 6 months. I was told RS 4000 is the amount and with this I recharged my account with Rs 4000. Last week I upgraded my second TV’s normal box to HD box and then when I spoke to call center I discovered that I am being cheated. I am listing my issues as below:

1) I am told that Rs 4000 is required for 6 months recharge, however later I was told that 6 months recharge was for base TV and second TV is on monthly basis – this is not acceptable to me and I want 6 months package to be activated for both the TV
2) Even If I agree to call centers agents theory (which I am not agreeing) I am told that Rs 3300 is for base TV and Rs 180 for additional TV with normal box. My package was activated on 26th of June 2013…so till 2nd of Aug or so total charge come to around RS 250, which means my account balance should be around Rs 450 however my account balance was Rs 113 on 2nd August – where did my money go?
3) Your call center agent told me that some will call me with in 24 hrs – on 4th sone called me and I requested him to hear the call records as what is committed to me and then he said that he will get back till date NO ONE has reached back to me to provide the clarity and update
4) Yesterday again I spoke to two agent one after one and I requested both of them to help me talk to theit supervisors…first one transferred the call back to the board…second one said senior will call back in 2 hrs…again NO ONE called me till now…..first agent told me to recharge the account by 500 rs and then my HD box will run for 6 month….I recharged the account by 500 Rs and nothing changed..

Every time I speak to call center agents they tell me different-different stories not sure how to understand the true picture.

Is anyone listening…can anyone help…..Oh GOD can you pls help

The first service call was a visit, I should say a courtesy visit from your service engineer. He visited my house, asked for the problem, checked the signal with one of the instrument, the signal strength in that was about 6-8. He again checked on TV, told that the TV is better now, I argued, I told nothing had changed. Wrote that on the signing sheet also, He told me that if I had to use the private services of the Tata sky personnel, i refused to that, believing that Tata name is there and there is no need to pay bribe to do things in private sector.
He went keeping the things as they are, which i wrote on the sheet too. But to my surprise i got a message that the complaint is closed. I checked with your online help, gave all the story to her, on which she took another complaint no.
I want to know how the second complaint was closed without visiting my house or finding the facts.

On saturday, 17th, the guy from tata sky called me, and promised the visit on evening. He didnt turn on at all. But to my surprise i got a call today from your 040 location based dept. The lady first told me that the services are not undertook as I refused to pay. I protested against this and told her what happened. She told me that she will call again. She called again and this time told me that my dish is faulty and I need to change the same. I am surprised to hear that. I asked if that is the case why she dint told me that in first time, she was fumbling to find an answer. But somehow told me that she will ask some guy to visit my place again to sort this out.

Then the service engineer called again, and asked me what was the problem, I suggested him to visit and find it out He told me that i need to change my dish there only without even visiting the premises.

I am surprised with the way the events are turned out to be.

I want to know
1. Does your people can ask money from a customer on the pretext of doing work externally as the first guy suggested, Should i say it is bribe in good old PSU days?
2. How come the first case was closed when I had clearly mentioned the status is same.
3. How come the second complaint was closed without even the guy visiting my house.


I clearly felt cheated and want to resolve this asap.

Hope you can resolve the same without taking a bribe.

I am also experience, they behave very arrogant, Indore installer in charge Mr Azad is a very useless and create lot of problems with the consumer I have been harrased since last 15 days, no body is listing, I tried my best to contact their customer service, but they are also not in position to help, now I am in completely in dark what to do and where to approach, if some one is having their CEO office or cell no pl provide me.

My name is Sandeep V. I have been TATA SKY customer for over 4 yrs now.
I have one of the hopeless, 4th graded, cheap and sucking experience with TATA SKY.

There are not deserved for even one star rating.

1) I called TATA SKY on 6th Sep to recharge my grand sport and also to Change the set up box to HD.
2) TATA SKY people told me that there is an offer for HD box at 990 rupees.
3) I told TATA sky people to activate my grand sport and also deduct the money from my account for HD box for 990/-.
4) On Sat, 7th Sep, the installation people came and installed the normal box and not the HD box.
5) I called the same day to TATA SKY and told them the issue and the representative apologized for the mistake and told that TATA SKY forgot to place the order for HD.
6) I made the payment of 3000+3000+500 on the same day (on 6th Sep).. totally I paid 6500 over and above the balance that I had of 400+ rupees.
7) No one even activated my grand sport package until I called TATA SKY on Saturday
8) TATA SKY confirmed that Installation person will come on Sun to fix and no one came.
9) I called TATA SKY again on Sunday and shockingly they still did not place the order and no one came to fix it. I spoke to someone named pretty and she is saying nothing can be done. This sucks, coz this is not my mistake.
10) Then I was connected to escalation department, I spoke to someone called mujeeb or something…he also gave me wrong expectation and promised to fix the issue on Monday.
11) I got a call from Monday from TATA SKY and they are asking me about the issue. Why the hell I should keep repeating this again and again. Till Monday no one placed the order. Is it because they don’t want to give me an offer and take 1800/- from me? That is the intention of TATA SKY.
12) On Monday, again I called up and spoke to someone called Surya. He said he will get it fixed my Tuesday. But nothing happened. Today someone called and telling us that the cost is 1800/- and offered is over.
13) I again called up TATA SKY to check the sucking services. I spoke to someone called Naveed, he said, we will charge 1800/- and will adjust the money from billing department.
14) I don’t want this anymore. I want all my money to be refunded. I have one of the worst and sucking services. My Weekend and my Festival was screwed. Please go and check the logs from your system..how many times I called you.

I was so frustrated with the service and requested for cancellation .And I am planning to file a complaint on the consumer's forum . The customer service is very arrogant . They change the signal from mpeg 2 to mpeg 4 without the notice for some channels and were charged for the channels which were not subscribed .

I strongly suggest .. NOT TO SUBSCRIBE FOR THIS TATASKY
