[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Mental harrassment

I have never been a tata-sky customer. I have never subscribed to their services. Still i keep on receiving messages from the company (Ta-tatasky or tm-tatasky) about pending payment dues, recharging remenders, etc. On my personal mobile number. I hope this is total violation of one's privacy and results to mental harrassment.

Tata Sky service has been a night mare for last 10 days in Chennai, they could not handle HD connection and they dont have the stock, very poor service and co-ordination. really dis-appointed with the Tata Service Standard. ID No.[protected]

Hi,

I have subscribed (subscriber id [protected]) to Grand Sports plus TEN package, but i am not able to view TEN channels. The screen says "You have not subscribed to the channel".

I got a call 2 days back saying that you are merging the three TEN channels and offering a complete package at the same rate plus TEN HD which is to be recently launched. But since the time i have confirmed, it has deactivated the 3 channels.

Please look into it, as i am paying for them inspite of the fact that i am unable to view those channels. I am trying to call the customer care but i am sorry to say that their behaviour is very irritating. Half of them seem to be sleeping when they talk.

I need this problem resolved or else i will have to take steps to resolve my concern.

Absolutely pathetic service Mr CEO if this continues u will have to close shop soon. Your Tata sky service which was a wonder a year ago has become worse than govt MTNL service I as a Tata sky customer can vouch for this. Your technician who attends to customers talks worse than a hooligan. Our tatasky service is fully paid as on date tI'll 1ST NOV. Even then the service stopped last Saturday I.e. 16th Oct. Complained n as we r nothing working and r available only late evenings it reqd lots of coordination n cajolling to get ur technician at 6.30 pm hone on last wed he confirmed three was something wrong with your set top box and said he would come on Sat to replace Tim today sincemorning I have been calling him. He said he cud cone only by 3 to 4 pm. After 4 when he did not turn up I called only to get rudely resuked n he shouted that Ile would come only by 5 . After several calls after 5 I waited till 6.15 n he still did not come. He has disconnected all the 26 tines I've called him. My saturday which is precious to me is lost with no work of mine done n neither is the Tata sky activated fir which we have made advance payments. I had upgraded my TATA SKY to TATA SKY HD with RECORDING facilty & made upfront payments for Rs 5000/- & Rs 1000 respectively on 26th Oct 2013. My Id is [protected]

There hv been repeated complaints to Tata Sky for non functioning of the System since the date of Installation. The call's hv mostly been deferred for time as suited to the Technicians. Every time we call in we loose Rs 6.50 per call in the Call centre & unfortunately there is no one to take ownership of the issues. This is the state of affairs. My daily amount of the Pack is being debited regularly & that the System is Totally not functional. I was supposed to get Free VOD but unfortunately there is no resolution for my existing non functional System

I am wodering how this Company is functioning with least importance to resolution of Customer Complaints. I have been a non HD box user for more than 05 Years & am being treated terribly. Will someone from TS take ownership & resolve my issues ...else I will forward my complaint to the Consumer Forum for harassment & recovery of Money from Tata Sky.

I realise, i have made a biggest mistake of my life taking up TATASKY. I took a multi tv connection on 10 September, 2013 after i was lured to a trap that i need to pay only Rs.1980 for an annual subscription and in addition i get a one month free subscription. Little did i realiase that I was never given any offer and my account was debited with charges @ Rs.5.92 on a daily basis. I Receive an status alert on TV followed by SMS that i need to recharge by 23/11/2013.

I spoke to the helpline. They said, they cant entertain any claim which is made by a reseller and I need to contact the reseller. I asked them how do they entertain a resellers authorization to deduct money from my account to deduct Rs.5.92 on a daily basis. Till date i dont have an answer.

I then asked them, will they give me an annual subscription for the multi tv for Rs.1980/-. They said, Not possible as there was price revision from their end. When asked about the revised norms, I was told to make a Payment of Rs.2200/- towards the annual subscription. I did a payment subsequently and asked for conversion of the same for annual pack.

I hear a reply, that they cant do a annual subscription, because i have a primary semi annual metro pack which is semi annual. I asked what was the solution, the gentleman said, he would do a semi annual multi tv for Rs.1133/- and refund the balance to my tatasky account.

The next day, 2 things happen.

1. My multi tv connection is cut
2. I cannot do a semi annual multi tv.

I made a request to cancel all my accounts and for the agony they caused me at 2 hrs a day for 4 days (telephone and chat, chat transcript screen shots are with me)

The next day, they deduct Rs.460 and odd from my account and say that it has been deducted for multi tv till 4th of February (the date until which i have a primary semi annual metro pack). I spoke to one Mr.Rahul at the helpdesk and asked him about the logic of charging me at over Rs.6 per day for a pack, while i am only deducted Rs.5.92 on a daily basis. The gentleman cuts the line. The next day I receive an SMS confirming that my request to deduct Rs.460 was successful.

For the past 3 days I made request for termination of TATASKY and each time i was given a request reference and promised that their team would get back within 24 hrs to resolve. This is my fourth 24 hr deadline.

The intentions of the helpdesk contradicts from the doctrines of any good practice, their intentions malicious, and their deeds against any basic human courtesy.

I would request readers to use my case as a caution and think twice before making any payment without a receipt from their side with all the fine prints. I have lost my health, peace and face mental agony.

And what makes me sick is the closing line from their helpline, "Apart from this, is there anything that we could assist you with"?

Bogus Service provided by TATA SKY

I am a customer of TATA SKY vide ID No [protected]. My set up box has been replaced by new MPEG-4 based on 28th Nov. 2013. Same day it was gone faulty at evening . Since then I am continuously lodging my complaints in tata sky toll free number but no body visit me at all. After Several persuasion, a technician visited me on 10 th Dec 2013 & declared that the set up box is faulty & need replacement.After half an hour later he replaced a set box & leaved my house telling that it take some time for loading the soft ware & it will run after 2 hours automatically. But till date no picture is coming to my television & after several calling, it is now replied by the technician that, there is no set up box is with us & your complaint cannot be rectified & you make a complaints to higher authority.
The SMS i received on 14/12/13 reads 'Your Tata Sky id [protected] will get deactive tonight'.I have sufficient balance to last till 7/9/14. If you can justify this SMS i will immediately dissociate myself from such filthy DTH service provider. Gautam Ghosh.

I have a connection of Tata Sky sience 03 years, My id No is [protected], But I am uable to view some channels due to upgradation of MPEG4 technology. I have called to customercare somany times(from 07.11.13) to change the set top box, but till date couldnot change of my set top box. When I contact to customercare, they are telling no stock of set top box in your area from first to now also but set top boxes available in this area, Shopkeepers are telling, if you'll give Rs200/- then we'll give a new set top box, so I have stopped recharge my set top box from last recharge, and also customer support telling, we'll refund from which date u are not able to view some channels. If Tata sky will not solve my problem in short period, I bound to buy an other connection.
I Mr.Sachikanta Routray had Joined through reference of Mr.Prakash Chandra Rout at TATASKY Branch office situated at 1st Floor, Archies Avenue, Infront of Girija Resturant, Kalimandir Road, Satya Nagar, BBSR on dt.09.10.13, I worked at office from 9.30am to 8.00 pm till 15.12.13. The company did not give any salary for my work.So I left the job.When Iasked for the salary to Mr.Prakash Chandra Rout, he told me give one weak the problem will shut out, when ever i called him or his boss they told me it will be shut out soon, but till now the problem didn't shut out, when i rigid for the salary an employee of TATASKY Mr.prakash Chandra Rout, Emp Id- scolded me in bad language and refused me not to give the salary, and told me what u will do u do.I will not give the salary.


I therefore request you to kindly shut out the problem as soon as possible.

We logged Complain Against our TATA Sky Service Not working wide Complain No "BYNYTGA" on[protected]. On[protected] your Technical Executive Visited & told us that wiring is faulty but I don't have wire there for I'm unable to replace it. He make Multiple joint in wiring. we are not satisfied with this kind of service from brand for TATA Sky. Kindly Look after on this matter. We want to replace defective wiring.

I made a mistake by opting for Tata Sky.

I believe that it's not a smart decision as the service of your call centre is absolutely terrible.

The test of a company's resolve for customer service stems from it's contact with customers. Often, customers get a taste of reality AFTER the sales is done. In your (TataSky) case, you fall short in a massive way.

My TataSky+ package is supposed to let me view and record programs. However, I am unable to do this sanely. This is because the picture is pixelatted, the sound is garbled at times and the picture goes off at times-leaving a blue screen. Since I travel extensively on work, I usually set my programmes for recording. It is extremely sad to notice that some programmes which are 1 hour long, have only 39, 31 or 43 minutes that have been recorded. When watching a programme, this is useless as one cannot understand the plot of the programme, not the dialogues or the story build-up, and it is FRUSTRATING.

Now this fluctuation has been happening for the last fortnight at least (depending on the programmes that I have recorded). I have not been getting my money's worth of service that is promised by TataSky. I have paid an annual fee for the streaming and recording (at my onset) of the programmes on the channels that are in the package. AND I AM NOT GETTING THAT. And this is not the worst part...

Just imagine that whoever calls your call centre, is in need of help. And when they speak with your officers, they really must need a lot of patience. I know that I have selected English as my language of choice, but whenever I call, I get the guys who talk in Hindi. And when they switch to English, its only the goodwill of the angels in heaven that can help me as the officers don't seem to understand what I am saying. They hear only few choice words and mash it into a sentence which they can identify and think that is what I am asking for.

Today I called up 3 times! About 15 minutes! Then about 11 minutes! And the third call lasted 58 minutes!!! These 3 calls are only for explaining my concern!!!

Your Helpline needs help! They don't seem to know the basics of customer service

Your officers provide wrong information. The first officer said that TataSky was providing upgrades and thats why I was facing issuesYour officers can't speak English for nuts. I had chosen the English line. But I never get on the English line. Why do you provide a language line option when you don't actually offer that service. Your staff need to understand that when a customer is ticked off and needs to speak witrh a senior, it is absolute STUPIDITY to let the officers hang on to the call with standard scripts like "I will help you first". Hello! When a customer needs escalation, it is because there is an issue and someone who can take a judgement call needs to be spoken with. Your escalation matrix sucks! I spoke with an officer, then a senior, then a Team Leader and finally a Manager. It not only cost me a lot in time and the phonecall charges, but it costs you far more in terms of customer's opinion of you, your brand name and the possibility of your service recovery when your customers pay for a service, you need to provide that service.Part of that is that I receive streamed channels in my package. It is unfair to talk about the customer paying for the technician to check what the problem is when YOU are doing an upgrade. Your competitors offer a better way of resolving this

Your officer (Raju) took 10 minutes to get a supervisor! Did he go for a walk in the park? After getting the supervisor, he said that he would transfer the call...something which took about 2.5 minutes!!! I though one can transfer calls in 5 seconds maximum. And Ravi in turn took over 15 minutes to get the Manager (Azam) promised that after little troubleshooting the channels would stream well. Well, it hasn't.I called for the fourth time and left a message for Azam to call back. Still waiting for the past 30 minutes.

The day is not far off. The signs are already there. Companies with poor customer service lose out. Brand names mean nothing. It's the service which is the game changer. For me, a much respected name like the Tata's is becoming low. Frankly, I don't care what the world thinks. My money will now talk. I will spend less...think more...whenever I see a Tata product. Its is sad. Sad for you.

some days ago tata sky has changed my setup box MPG2 to MPG4. Their telecalling representative said to me first I have to recharge my acc with 500Rs. And when I call them they will refund 500Rs. In My TATA SKY account after that I have call them many time but finally they have denied to return money in my accoun All conversation are available with them as recording.
Since 24th Dec'13, I am not able to view all the channels for which I am paying monthly charges. On receiving my complaint, you had send technician and deducted Rs.150/- from my account on 26th Dec'13. Inspite of your technician visit, when I could not see all the channels, he had told me that due to change of Tatasky software and set top box, I will be able to see all channels in due course. But I regret to inform you that till date, I could not able to view all channels. Moreover, you are regularly deducting monthly charges for the channels, which I could not view, since Dec'13.

If you could not permit me to view all the channels for which I have subscribed & you are regularly deducting monthly charges, please deactivate it with immediate effect.

My Tata Sky ID is [protected]. I have got two connections i.e Primary and Secondary. I got recharged my connection on 28.03.2012 by paying online charges of Rs.6930/- for one year w.e.f 31.03.2014 to 30.03.2015 after speaking to one of the associate of Tata Sky. To my great surprise it is showing next due date for recharging is 11.03.2015, for which screen shot was taken on 29.03.2014.

In this regard I spoke to Tata Sky associate Sh. Virender and his Senior Sh Harshad on 29.03.2014 who informed me that the date will be corrected if I ring them after 2 days. And more over I was also informed that it is my duty to inform them for the correction of date and this is the Policy of the company. I want to ask a simple question from the MD of Tata Sky that even after making the full payment for one year is it the duty of the customer to remind them for the correction of date? What a ridiculous Policy of the company? Does a customer has that much time to remind them with no fault.

As such I request MD to refund my payment and no more I want to be with Tata Sky.

this tatasky service is so bad i have made complaint on 9 th april and after following everyday till now they have not resove my problam
i suggest pls do not go for tatasky all there customer care telling lai same on this company belong to TATA
since last three days am unable to view tata sky i lodged complaint with customercare and they
assured me that it will be rectified in 24 hrs till date no service engineers have reported. on call to customer care they are saying that engineers couldnot match up with my schedule... really horrible service we must lodge complaint in cosumer court
