Vodafone — Happy to help or trouble?

For over one year I had problems with vodofone mobiles. The complaints related to frequent voice breakdown and dropped calls. On the advice of Vodafone help, I changed my instrument and SIM Card also but there was no change in the situtation. I made several complaints thereafter and I withheld the payments of my mobiles and continued to request them for redressal of the technical problems. I was getting reply after reply stating that my complaint would be sorted out by so and so date but it was never done.

The latest email from vodofone is reproduced below:

' Thank you for your email dated 02/11/09 about the services on your Vodafone
number [protected].

We wish to inform you, that we have processed your concern about the network issue to our network team with high priority the complain number is [protected] the same will be recitified to you on 13/11/09.

We would like to inform you, that outgoing services has been restored on 02/11/09.
In case you need further assistance, please do call or email us. We'll do our best to help you and assure you our best of services at all times.

Happy to help"

Unfortunately, even till date the technical problems remain unresolved. Technical persons visited our house and informed us that some adjustments need to be made to the tower and it would be done in a week's time but so far it is not done.

I asked them to restore the outgoing and incoming connection to my mobile pending resolution of this problem but their response was very casual, pay the amount we will restore the connection. The email on this issue is reproduced below:

"Dear Mr. Kumar,

Thank you for your email dated 05/11/09 about the service for your Vodafone number [protected].

We are sorry for the delay in response.

We wish to inform you, that services for your Vodafone number has been restricted and suspended from 19/10/09 because o[censored]npaid bills.

Hence, we request you to clear the bill of Rs. 1136/- and confirm us to process your request for restoration of services for your Vodafone number.

Vodafone — No. Deactivated without information/ Worst customer support

Hello Sir, I am Mr.Venkata Yadavalli , bangalore resident using the the vodafone prepaid no.[protected]. This was my very old no. when the name of provider was Hutch, and it was activated for lifetime validity. Since I was travelling, i could not use it much. Last week, I was there and went to vodafone stores with the old sim card and mention my request that I wanted to use the same no. and to activate it. They said, the card will be replaced with vodafone sim and I have to submit my documents again. I found that the no. is still on my name and hence submitted my voter id card details as proof and my number was re-activated by vodafone on November 16, 2009, and this no. I have published to my contacts over the globe where i started getting my calls., related to my company. It was working fine. All of a sudden on evening 19th november, the no. was not working and I went to Vodafone stores, with this complaint. They behaved helplessly, saying we dont' know the reason and we cant help.! This was really a worst case of customer support on Vodafone. My Vodafone complaint no. [protected]. Its unsolved since 2 days, and they are not helping this and no response. Can you please help with this.!

Vodafone — worst company of the year

Hi All,

I was using vodafone post paid connections, and i had to discontinue the service due to the worst service and the most ridiculous network provided by the company. i had registered so many comlaints at the customer care center for the poor service and network where i had to face so much loss in my business as my 80% business was dealed thru mobile communication. and due to the worst service in network i had lost so many customers and i had faced so many problems in my business.
when ever i used to lodge a complaint i used to only get on straight answer your complaint would be resolved in 48 hrs, and after 48 hr again the same answer, i had even mailed the customer service manager in pune, and i dint even get a single reply from them, and after 4 attempts in mailing them i get an reply that my mail id has been blocked by the recipent. and when i used to complain at the vodafone store, i was used to wait for hours and when my turn used to come they used to say that they will get in touch asap, and was asked to leave as they say that they have several customer to attend. is this the service they provide, and when i disconnected the service, and when i said that i am not going to pay my bills due to poor quality they started to send gunda's at home for the recovery with the phone bills, and when i used to tell them get me in tocuh with the manager of the company who takes care of the customer service, they used to say its not our business, we are here for only our business to collect money,
this is the worst service i have come across by such a big company.
