Vodafone — Fraud in Phone Number Issuing/Number allotment.

I have recently shifted to Noida from bangalore where i was using a Hutch/Vodafone post paid number for the past three years.
Upon reaching here i opted for a post paid number in the corporate scheme. The field officer gave me a couple of good numbers to choose from, and out of them i chose [protected].
The activation form and the adjoining documents also had this number over it.
The sim took nearly seven days to get activated and when I checked the number it came out to be [protected].

Since i was sure that i'll be given the number i had opted for, i had circulated the same to a lot many of my colleagues and now it has been printed on my business cards also.

Inspite of my repeated emails and calls to the Vodafonde higher-ups, nothing has happened. More over the current number ([protected]) is not operational, and the customer care guys tells me that the Verification is showing negative for it.
This is absolutely rediculous, where in i know that nobody has come for verification.
I am completely pissed off with Vodafone. And I shall never go for its services, nor i will recommend it to anybody else.

Vodafone — location info being used for mass marketing

Hi,

VODAFONE has been using the ports reserved for location info displays for mass marketing in bangalore. On enabling location info display in my phone, They are always showing ads related to their schemes all the time. This has been going on for the last 4 months and even after complaing to them numerous time, they haven't stopped showing the ads.The cell info display is meant for location information/or other important alerts. Its not supposed to be used for marketing campaigns.

Instead of showing the right information i.e the location info, they have been using it for marketing. Can someone tell me where i can make a complaint against them ??

I had a very bad exp with vodafone. and still now am struggling with them, can u help me out regarding this...

I was using vodafone postpaid connection since from last october and upto june 2008 i used to pay everymonth more than 2000 .in between thse time i never ever made any kind of due payment.every months properly i used to pay my bill.

one day in june month i have got one call and they introduced me that they are from vodafone .after that thet were asking about one person who was my colleauge.they are asked his numbr. but thse person new number i didnt have that time. i politly told them i dont have his new numbr with me and i closed the phone. after 2 days again they called me and started some bad word with me.then i got really shocked .the way they wrere talking like very bad peopels, really i dont knw how to express that kind of talk here.then after that around 1 week they used to call me and disturbrd like anything, even if i am in offc also they used to call me and started these kind of bledy talk.then i make a call to customer care and informed them about this.they said they cant help me out regading this and suggested me to go to vodafone shoppy.. then i had gone there and made a complaint. but these things again started like anything. after that 2 times i had gone there and made complaint.nu no luck .they ddnt taken any action and i was again startd suffering this.

i was a customer and i used to pay my bill everymonth and why should i get thse kind of bledy things from the provider also i was not getting any help from vodafone side. this make me to stop the payment for that month and stop using the connection.

so i ddnt pay the bill for that month and i taken new connection.

after 1 week. again i got a call from vodafone to my new numer and they are asking the bill amount. i said i got enough things from u that what i am not going to pay the bill. u can go ahead with leagal things. then they said they wl call to everybody as per my call list and tel them about this issue.then i thought okay let pay them bill and unsessasary i need to get shame from my related ones.same day i wanted to go to bangalore for my official training. and that training was 1week in bangalore. in between that time again i got call from vodafone and i told then i am in bangalore now and wl be back in chennai by next week so i wl pay the bill once i reach in chennai. they already agreed that and after one day i used to get call from my friends and they are telling that they are getting call from vodafone and they are speaking very badly.

after that you knw they call up all peopels as per my call list and really made me this situatuion u knw..they are started calling and taking like very badly, stiil they are doing this kind of things and i am gone down. all my friend, i lost all the impression with them as thses peo[pels are calling them and talking like anything..

if i pay the bill now, wlll they return back me what i lost infront of my friend and related ones...

i told them u can go ahead with the case against me i wl see in court. do u think is this the way to behave with a customer. rules and regulation for every one. if i dd the mistake, y cant them go for court and y they are doing trhese bledy this..i dont have any issue to pay the money..but y i ddnt pay the money, coz of them i ddnt pay the money.

can any one help me to solve the issue.i wanted to teach them the result of these kind of things. i would not happen to any other peopels.

how would i raise a case againist them
