My Name is Sujit Gupta (Name Changed). I got cheated by Country Vacation company.

I was called 3 months before telling me that i won a free gift and i had to go to there office with my wife to collect the same and we need to attend a seminar for 2 hrs. But when i went there they make us seat in there office for around 5 hrs and force us and brain wash ours to take member ship. At that time they offered me 10 years of Vacations, 2 assured gifts and Country Club Membership free. I had taken membership on that day by giving part of the amount and thye told me that i can pay the rest amount with in 2 year of time. But after 3 months still i didn't get any of the things they promised. I still didn't use any facilities they offered as we didn't get any Membership card as well. And now when ever we are going to that office to collect our gifts, they always ask us to come next week or promise us that they will deliver the gifts and cards at my home Now they started saying that i need to pay the full amount to get cards and gifts. I also have contract that i signed while taking membership 3 months before, it is clearly mentioned in the contract that we can pay the rest money with in 2 years, and if they know that we can't use the facilities before paying the full amount then why they offer us such a deal. This is just a way they are cheating with people and make money.

This is a very fraud company. The membership fee starts from 60,000 rupess and they will tell that they have tie up with HDFC bank and ICICI bank and the 60,000 rs will be converted into 0% interest for 36 months EMI. But to be frank they wont have that option, they will swipe your card for full payment. If you complaint to the customer care manager about this, they will not listen at all. You need to make your Credit card payment on your own, else you need to bear the interest.

ITS A VERY BIG CHEATING COMPANY PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

We took Country Vacation (CV) membership 2.5 years back (Feb 2008) and since then we have not used any of their resorts or clubs. The reason behind that is either some of their clubs are not at all ready (whereas they told us that it is ready) or they ask for more money (in terms o[censored]tility charges, maintanence charges, service charges) whenever we approach them for making any Resort room booking. I don't know why we have paid them lumpsump amount of Rs 1 lakh for the membership when they charge us again for staying in their resorts. And top of that, these people are so rude whenever we call them for clarifications on these charges..Pls help us in getting our money back as we felt cheated and felt that we have paid Rs 1 Lakh for nothing in return.

I have been cheated of an amount of Rs 40,000.00 by Country Vacations . They have made and agreement vide court paper with 100 Rs registration that if I cancel the subscription, they are going to deduct 80% of the money. I feel that this is unethical and now I want my complete money back as the group has cheated me.

i had joined in the country vaccations in the mont of dec 2008 by paying 1,80,000 at a time.
they had promised me that i shall get a site of 300 sq yards at jangon.
but after one year there were no responce from them and even when i had asked them for the plot they were again asking for 30,000.
they i realise that it was a fraud and i asked for cancelation for my membership in the month of nov-2009 by writing a letter to them.
they were not returning my money after they were said that it will take some time and not answereing my call.
i was a govt employee in railways work as an asst loco pilot at vijayawada i could not beeen able to trace them back.
so kindly help me to get my money back and pass my message to every one ..........

I had been informed over phone that you r the lucky that u got free tour package and a gift too, but for that u have to visit ur office with ur wife. It was also cleared that no tour package was offered during the visit. But when we go there, a 90 minutes (extended to 3 hrs) presentation was given to us. And a package was given to me at the cost of 40,000/- and with the facility of selling/renting our membership/package but since i have very much time to go through the agreement, so after reading all the agreement i found that i have to sell/rent my package myself. and an annual maintenance charge of Rs.4000/- will also be charged to me. And above all the free tour package given to me was available to me by paying an amount of Rs.3500/- approx. I was feeling very guilty to sign the agreement.

Agreement was made on 100 Rs. Stamp paper. I came to know that some other compnaies, which r signing these types of agreement on Govt. Stamp paper and the compnay r renowed but fled away at once.

I have great doubt that in the begining the compnay is not keeping its promise then r these types of compnies r okey. Running successfully, and making fool people on the ground of fake certificates and fled away at once.

I paid INR 1,28,000/- for a gold membership of Country Vacations one month back. They gave to one free pass for their Sarjapur Rd Country Club. When I went their with my friend, I saw the following:
While taking the membership, they mentioned that the membership fees would be converted into "Zero percent interest" EMI of Rs 3500/- and only Rs 3500/- would be charged to my credit card every month.
However, as per the statement, the complete amount has been charged on my card (Rs 60,000 and Rs 68,000).

They never converted the bulk payment into EMIs and now I have to pay interest of around 3% per month on my balance of INR 1,28,000/- every month.

Services at Country club sarjapur are pathetic:

1. No Manager: There is no manager available to discuss.
2. Pathetic facilities:
It is supposed to be a club, and there is only 1 table-tennis table???? Even the one that is provided, does not have proper rackets. The racket given to us had broken handles and they were totally broken.
The snooker balls were crooked and some even had holes
The snooker table was scratched at many places
The snooker sticks were broken. It was completely unusable
Swimming pool was closed till 1 pm. Once it was opened, there was no lifeguard on duty.
Swimming pool was full with people who would spit in the same water they swim. Would anyone want to swim in such an unhygienic pool?
Swimming pool is unusable for ladies. There were only boys and men in the pool. If I pay for the services, I think my family deserves to get good services, which was NOT AT ALL the case
3. Country vacations staff not available: Having seen such facilities, I wanted to complain at the CV desk. The person told me that staff would not available till 2:30 pm. Do you expect members to wait till 2:30 pm?
4. ZERO Value for money: I have spent Rs 1,28,000/- on this membership. Is this the value I get for the money I spent????

Please help me recover my money back from country vacations

My name is Arun Mohan, an unfortunate victim of Country vacations. In October 2008, I was called by their sales people and they asked me to come over to Amrita Castle for a short chat and to introduce me to their holiday packages. A sales executive, Mr. Sahil had met me and he intoduced me to a holiday package worth Rs 1.33L. Both me and my wife were present during the meeting. Mr. Sahil was also assisted by Mr. Subhan ( he is heading the banglore CV team now).

Both of them told me that I had to pay this amount or atleast part of it that day itself since this is an offer price. The amount was too high for me and they gave me an EMI option. In this option, i can pay the amount using an ABN AMRO Credit card. When I mentioned that I only have a HSBC credit card, Mr. Sahil even mentioned that he can make arrangement to procure this card for me. The EMI amount seemed reasonable and i agreed. However, since I had to make a payment that day itself, I gave my HsBC credit card to Subhan and told him to swipe Rs 50,000. However, when I got the receipt, I was surprised to find that he had swiped for Rs 90,000. When I questioned them, they told me that they would credit this amount back to my CC since I will be getting the ABN AMRO card with in 2 weeks. Though I was apprehensive, I believed them and authorized the transaction.

Today its April 2010 and I stil havent received any card. I tried to follow up with Sahil as my HSBC due date was coming, but to no vail. When I called the customer care, they told me that they do not have any tie ups with ABN AMRO. I was surprised at this and when I called Subhan to enquire, he mentioned that they had made a mistake and that he would refund my Rs 90,000 back to me by December 2008. He still supports this, but the customer care people say that there is no such refund option. I can cancel it and if i do that, i will loose lot of money.

I feel that I have been cheated and I do not want to continue with Country vacatons any more. I have been calling and moving pillar to post and talking to people in country vacations to help me. They had given a suggestion of transferring the membership, offered free plot and a waiver of the additional money. I have opted out of all and I just need my money back.I request the authorities to please repay my Rs 90,000 immediately. This is a case of cheating and misleading the customers. I have spoken to Sahil many a times and he said that he will help me, but he never did.

Hi,

I am Sachin R Patil from Bangalore and I am not happy with your employees in Bangalore Branch. One day they called me and said that they choose me in there lucky draw and asked me to come and collect the gift. When I reached there they started pitching about the Country Vacation. They offered me that membership of 1.08 lakhs which includes Sony Bravia 32” LCD TV, 3 days & 2 nights stay and a life time free membership with country vacation/country club.

I asked them that whatever promised you have done to me is that written in your membership documents and they said ‘YES’ and also said that you will get your temporary membership card in 10-15 min after you sign the membership documents. They have deducted Rs 45,000 form my HDFC Gold credit card on 4th Dec, 2009 as a membership installment but they haven’t converted that Rs 45,000 into EMI, When I asked them to convert into EMI they said they will do it today which never happened till date, but at the same time I said them that if you people are not offering this membership as 36 EMI’S then I am not interested into it, But they said that they will convert the swapped Rs 45,000 into EMI in the Evening as they need to go to Indranagar office to do that.

But till date they have not converted those Rs 45,000 into EMI and not even gave me any Temporary Membership card So that I can use Country club facilities as they promised.

I was very disappointed with this and after repeatedly asking for updates on conversion of Rs 45,000 into EMI and membership card I didn’t have any response from your employees.

At last they said that I can cancel the membership and I will get the total Rs 45,000 back, so this was the only option left with me at that time and I decided to cancel the membership. I have a letter written on White paper along with the Country Vacation Stamp from your Employee Mr. Wahid (Line Manager) stating that Country vacation need 3 months time to pay the sum of Rs 45,000 back.

Please guide me on this.Looking forward your support.

the issues - non delivery of all what was promised to us in the Country Vacations Membership [Membership numberVA46-0142].




Inspite of repeated attempts to communicate and inspite of repeated false promises of taking action I have not recieved any thing what was promised to me on country club letterhead in lieu of taking membership from your coumpany.

I have already given an application for cancellation of membership which was accepted but no one seem to be interested in cancelling it even after accepting the application nor Mr. salim Pasha is showing any kind of wiilingness to ensure that what is due from your side for a unacceptably long period is delivered.

if i dont recieve an immediate confirmation from your side now I am sorry to say that I would have to report this to the law and order system that we have in this country.

I expect to get all what was promised and a compensation for all the harrasment that we have faced.

I was promised:
1] 1LCD TV 55 cms or Demand draft of Rs. 12000
2] 1 Digicam or demand draft of equivalent value.
3] 2 nights 3 days spa[valid for 2 years]
4] 3 nights 4 days dubai with one way air ticket valid for 1 year
5] 2 grams gold coin
6] 2 nights 3 days in any of country vacations property
None of them have been received till date.

I have taken a membership of country vacations in the Nov, 2006. they promised me a refund of amount with 15% appreciation , if am not satisfied with the service. I paid them 1.32 lakhs for this membership. the scheme was regarding the hotel bookings once an year for a week days for couple. Since then I have been trying to book da holidays till now i havent succeeded. I am vexed up with the service and I want to cancel my membership n wanna have da refund of money. I tried for this n they reply with refund not possible. pls help me in this issue

We got a phone call from the country vacations saying that we have won Rs 25000/- as a gift and for that the wife and husband should come and collect the gift at Amrutha castle. After reaching there, Mr. Kalyan convinced us to take the membership and also said that we would be given free accomodation all over India in their resorts and if we do not use these holidays, he promised us that he would rent up these days and it would be sort of extra income for us. So we paid 165000/- and bacme the members. But whenever we call the members to book our holidays, they say that the rooms are full and they will arrange paid accomodation elsewhere. Till date, we could not utilize their services atleast once. This is a big fraud.
Please see that no one is deceived in this way.

I HAVE PAID THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD RS.95000 FOR A 10 YEAR PLAN ON 07/03/2010. I AM JUST SEEING THESE COMPLAINT CORNER. I AM AFRAID I AM ANOTHER PERSON DUPED BY THIS CLUB.THE PAYMENTS ARE SPLIT BY THE BANKER IN 24 INSTALLMENTS STARTING FROM APRIL '10.IS THERES ANY WAY TO STOP AT THIS STAGE.PLEASE SUGGEST A WAY OUT.

He conveneince me a refund of Rs. 45000/- through icici bond which will be sent within a span period of 5 yrs. and committed me with a gift of grilled microwave oven which will be given after joining the club. I am a country vacation member DT8 /0190 i have registerd to this company dated 1-1-2009.this people didnt mention any kind of taxes at the time of registration, now they are asking for taxes at the rate of rs. 700 per day when we are getting booking after several trials.first of all they didnt give you any booking in case they are giving us booking they are charging for that booking. I want my money back,as i havent yet utilised any of their facilities.

On 20th December 2009 i got a phone call inviting me for a presentation about Country Vacations. After long 3 hour presentation they somehow manged to brain wash me and made me to agree to become member for Rs. 65000 and taken Rs. 20000 through my Credit Card as advance and made me to sign an agreement. After reaching home I searched the net and got the information about company's fraud. After that I requested the manager who attended to me for cancellation. They totally denied to cancel my advance. After having some strong verbel fight finally they asked me to submit letter for cancellation. On Decmber 26th I had written letter asking to cancel my membership. After that several times I called the person named Manjunath, every time he asked some excuses and tried to escape from me. Today I gave him last chance and said this will be last call I am making or else I will approach consumer forum. Still no replay from him.

Please advice me how can I proceed further.

I have applied for vacation in country vacation as a member but i have got the mail that place is available now they are saying it is not avaliable

Yet another tale of cheating by Country club.
(Nov 2009 to Jan 2010 and still suffering ). Please help me!

One day I got a call from country club saying that my name has been shortlisted in a lucky draw based on some coupon that I filled in some shopping mall in bangalore and I can come to collect my free holiday voucher and some gift.
My wife and I went there and somehow got through the irritating presentation and collected the vouchers without taking the membership as we didnt want to commit into something like this. We booked our holiday in country club goa using these vouchers as we were planning to go to goa for our anniversary but only after paying an upfront booking charge of Rs. 3000. (Still went ahead thinking atleast it will be a decent place to stay)
Once in goa we found the facilities quite ordinary and spend 4 days in the resort on Anjuna beach. On the day of the return, the sales team of the fraud club called us for feedback which later turned out to be a plot to sell their membership to us. Anyways, after refusing to take it a few times, the sales guy named Haneef told me about a 30 year membership at Rs 130000 + AMC @4000 / year. Along with this I would get a Samsung Digital Camera + 3 Years Moksh Membership (For me and My family) + 30 Spa Vouchers + 2 Days 3 Nights Free Holiday. We kept saying no as we had some other priorities rather than taking a membership like this. Then Mr.Haneef the cheater starts saying that I can pay this amount in 36 EMI's with 0% interest charged on my credit card. The EMI amount comes to Rs. 3611.11 / month. This was tempting, we could easily manage that much amount irrespective of other commitments so my wife and I fell in to the trap. Before signing the documents I told Haneef " THE ONLY REASON WE ARE TAKING THIS MEMBERSHIP IS COZ OF THIS EMI OPTION" just to reassure that therz no catch in this too.
Next month in my statement I see 12*3611 Adv EMI's + 3611 (13th EMI) charged on my card I was furious ( This is Rs 46944) charged upfront which leaves the rest of the amount to be paid in just 23 EMI's. I called up the customer care but in vain.
I feel cheated and on top of this its been 3 months and I have not recieved any of the things promised to me. I am sick and tired of calling them, blasting them and trying to get my things. Every time I just hear the kit will come next week. I dont know what to do now,
I have sent a mail to [protected]@countryvacationsmail.com asking to terminate my membership but all in vain, they didnt even respond to my email.
Please let me know if anybody knows how to terminate this membership and get my hard earned money back, I dont want to transfer/sell it coz I dont want anybody to suffer like me.

Hoping I will somehow make it out of the trap. Please help me!

My name is Monica Dwivedi and husband’s name is Ashish Dwivedi,I received a phone call from the country vacation office at RNT Marg, Indore ,MP on 20/11/08 ,saying that I am a lucky winner while I have done shopping from mall and I have to attend their office with my husband for receive the prize. I and my husband visited their office on 22/11/08 where they said that we have to attend one presentation to get the gift ,they explained us about a holiday package for lifetime. The features of that package were as follows:
Membership fee was Rs35000.
Membership No:- MIL-1382 IN
1) I and my husband can stay for free in a 5 or 7 star hotel or company's property for a week every year for life time.
2) 20% discount on food in hotel and if it their property then free kitchen and cook is available.
3) Free Local sightseeing and pickup from airport /station is available.
4)This stay can be in 96 locations.
5)Free of cost SPA services where ever available
6) On holiday 14 lakh insurance froom ICICI Lombard.
7) This one week holiday can be accumulated for three years and one can gift ,rent and sale this week holiday.
8) Since the club organizes various celebrations on New year therefore passes for such celebrations are also provided complimentary to members.
9) We can organise any party in there club free of cost and we have to pay just for the food and not venue to them.

I and my husband were very interested and so we took this package by the name of my husband and we paid Rs 5000 in cash and Rs 30000 from my credit card.
On 30/Nov/08 there was an article in DB star newspaper of Danik Bhaskar stating this racket about country vacations. SO I started enquiring about the membership cards and welcome kit which will include the agreement stating about all the features of this holiday vacations. Despite regular follow they never responded. Then again I and my husband visited their office at RNT Marg, Indore. On 17/12/2008 we met Mr. Chandra Shekar (Astt.Manger ORD, we requested them that we want to cancel our membership want our money back ,he convinced us and said that we will soon receive membership cards, welcome kit and New year Passes within a week.
We received our membership card and passes on 30/12/08. But after that when ever I tried to book our holiday they never booked the same .I regularly call their office number [protected] and their customer agent Ms.Rashmi on 10 Jan/2010 said that we can book only 2 days and 3 nights for your holidays because your package allows only these days. I said ok fine but since I have taken membership on 22/11/08 therefore two years have passed and I have accumulated 4 days and 6 nights holidays in my account. She denied and said that it is not possible to grant accumulated holidays.
I am really shocked and cheated.My husband and I have invested our hard earned money and we want our money back because now I don’t trust them. They have made false commitments.
